I’m Jay La Bella, owner and artist behind La Bella and The Beat—a boutique DJ and MC experience for couples who care deeply about music, flow, and connection. I don’t operate a team or outsource your date. When you book me, you get me—present, prepared, and completely dialed in to your vision.

No Volume-Based Bookings: To maintain quality and presence, I take on no more than 30 weddings per year.
Investment & Expectations
Because every wedding I take on is so highly personalized, proposals are built custom based on needs, scope, and location. That said, most of my couples invest between $5,000 and $7,000 for single-day coverage. Multi-day events, travel, and advanced production elements are quoted accordingly.

get to know us not just as clients, but as people… what we’re into, what kind of energy we wanted for our day, and how we wanted everything to feel. He created custom cuts of the “big moment” songs for us and even had a mic ready for when my husband decided he wanted to “spontaneously” perform a song. Our taste in music is eclectic and not necessarily the stuff you would usually hear at weddings but he crushed it by blending and mixing all of our faves with the surefire wedding dance floor hits so there was a little something for everyone while still feeling 100% like “us.”
The dance floor was probably the most bumping one I’ve seen since my college days. Jay’s lighting setup transformed the space, and once the dancing started, the energy was unstoppable. The biggest compliment I can give: Jay got all my uncles out on the dance floor, absolutely tearing it up like I’ve never seen before!
Jay went above and beyond by being there for our rehearsal, making sure every cue, transition, and announcement would run smoothly. On the day of the wedding, he coordinated with the wedding planner, venue, caterers, and photographer to make sure we didn’t miss a beat while we partied our hearts out.

eeting with Jay we knew we were in good hands. He was attentive, considerate and there for us every step of the way even if it had nothing to do with the DJ portion of the wedding.
Before we got to the wedding weekend we had about four meetings with Jay where we went over every step. He heard what we were looking for and took the time to make us songs that fit our timeline, had killer recommendations for things we should do and explained things to us in a way that made us feel heard every time. For me (bride) I am not a dancer and I told Jay this from the start. He accommodated this in a spectacular way that still had our entire wedding on the dance floor, even when I didn’t want to be there.
Wedding weekend came before we knew it and Jay was there with us from the start to the end. He was ready when our wedding singer almost didn’t show and he followed the vibe of the wedding perfectly. Mixing Polish and Irish roots together with today's hits is no easy task and somehow Jay perfectly fit polka music into the reception without it sticking out. He followed our crowd and played the most perfect music at a level where it could be heard but people could also have easy conversations.
The Thursday before our Saturday wedding, we decided we wanted to change the length of our first dance song, without hesitation Jay accommodated this for us even at the last minute. Along with that, Jay also made our idea of using a different TV show song for every bridal party entrance at the reception a reality. We had a large bridal party and this was no easy task but Jay did it so seamlessly that it was the talk of the wedding. After the wedding was over and everyone had left, Jay was still showing us how much he cared by talking through the song choices that were made!
I honestly cannot say enough nice things about Jay and his team. He made us feel so comfortable and taken care of. We found Jay through our brother and sister-in laws wedding in 2022, and the second we got engaged we knew we wanted to book with him. The app included a wedding timeline, so we could input specifics like the processional, cocktail hour, first dance, etc. Additionally, during the planning process, he maintained a cadence of check-ins to ensure we felt confident about our big event. Jay is a professional through and through. He will impress you with his knowledge, he is personable and easy to work with, and he has a buttoned-up operation so you get the best service. Ahead of our wedding, he even met with us onsite to review the layout and ensure that we were set up for success. We really appreciate this level of thoroughness and it made us feel extremely reassured that our event would be smooth.
We had the greatest time at our wedding and Jay was such a big part of that. He worked with my dad on a last minute walk-on song for his Father of the Bride speech, which was a hilarious addition. This is just one example to demonstrate how great he is, his willingness to have fun and be creative in the moment. He is such a talented DJ and creates the most electric energy. Next, the day of the wedding our dreams came true. Jay ensured that every guest at the wedding could hear the ceremony. The music throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception was amazing. We were able to dance the night away with our loved ones and this could not of happened without JAY! He had the amazing idea of doing a 15 minute dance party after our first dance before dinner and it set to the tone for night! It was five minutes into the wedding reception and we already had over 100 people dancing!!

From thoughtful and easy to understand packages, to a cool app to help pick music out, to t-minus 1 month meeting that truly helped us take a *beat* and get excited (instead of just stressed) — we were so happy to have Jay on our team. On our actual wedding weekend, Jay’s calm professionalism and quiet hilarity was legendary. I felt like we were old friends throwing a party together, but clearly only Jay was extremely good at throwing parties and knew how to take my blabbering about speech timing and turn it into a thoughtful structure for our reception. Your DJ does so much more than just hit play, and I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t realize this until way further into the process than I should have. So, Jay was excellent for all the OTHER things a DJ does, and still totally delivered on the dance floor. We literally felt transported to “da club”; Jay is clearly passionate about his craft and puts the work in to be exceptional. Also the photo booth is so legit, please get the photo booth.

We had an almost two year engagement, and from booking, to planning, to site visits, to executing the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, Jay was so responsive, professional, and had an excitement for our wedding that was truly genuine! He listened to every silly request I made (like our "family tradition" Celine Dion tribute, haha!) he answered all of our questions, he was a great team player with my other vendors, he was a total dream to work with!
