We live here locally in Steamboat and it meant the world to us to be able to get married here. Everything about this venue is amazing! We had the best experience and our guests had THE BEST time. They truly put the bride and groom first while also providing an amazing experience for their guests. The wedding day was stress free, as the staff are professionals and made the day seem seamless. My wedding coordinator Kylie was absolutely amazing and made us feel so comfortable. She was calm, cool and collected the entire time. The venue is beautiful, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and confident about the big day. I would recommend La Joy Dulce to anyone. They were responsive and easy to communicate with from day one- after struggling to get responses from venues. If you are looking to get married in Steamboat- Lay Joya Dulce all the way!

When we were planning our destination elopement in Steamboat Springs, Colorado for the fall, we wanted an outdoor venue, but we wanted a Plan B option in case of inclement weather. We were also working on a short timeline – three months! We contacted a few venues, but they were all intended for larger wedding events. It was well priced for our size of wedding, had absolutely stunning views for the ceremony, and there was an indoor barn space if the weather was poor. From our initial inquiry to the day of the wedding, Kathie and Tommi, the manager we worked with day-of, demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to ensuring every detail was addressed. Emails were promptly answered, phone calls and texts were met with warmth and professionalism, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our requests on our wedding day. This level of communication not only alleviated much of the stress that can accompany wedding planning but also reassured us that we were in capable hands. The well-maintained property, including the aspen grove, created an atmosphere of romance – it was exactly what we were hoping for. We had our wedding here in August 2023 and it was absolutely perfect! We used the smaller barn for our dinner reception and had dancing outside next to the barn. The guests had a blast taking in the scenery and views around the ranch. We also had so many guests comment on how accommodating, helpful and efficient all of the staff at La Joya Dulce were. Everyone was so attentive to us and our guests and it made the day even better than we imagined! People also loved the touches around the ranch that made it the perfect mountain/outdoor wedding experience (the s'mores cart, the horses, etc). We used Mandy, the in-house planner, to assist with the planning process. She was a joy to work with and it really helped to have someone on the ground there in Steamboat, as we live in Denver. She helped with selecting and hiring vendors and made the whole process a breeze. The day of, she made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy our day and that the day ran smoothly. Again, multiple guests and people in the wedding party had amazing things to say about her and just how easy she made the day. We could not be more thankful for all her help! If you are looking for a perfect mountain wedding experience, look no further. We would do it here all over again!

There are no words to express how incredible our experience was having our dream wedding at La Joya Dulce. This was the first venue we ever toured and we immediately fell in love with it and knew this was the place we wanted to get married. Not only were we in love with the scenery and all the incredible property we also loved Kathie and everyone who works there. They truly treated us as family and we are so thankful for everyone at La Joya Dulce. The planning process was amazing and stress free. Kathie provided incredible recommendations for vendors that met all our hopes and needs. I loved planning our wedding at La Joya. The best part was our wedding weekend, this truly was a dream come true. The entire staff was so kind and helpful setting up and made everything run so smoothly, including the rehearsal dinner. The day of the wedding was a dream come true. We got ready in the most beautiful space and had a blast. When it was time to make our way down to the alter the staff was so supportive and kind, all while making us feel like their own family. Our guests could not stop raving about La Joya. We enjoyed a gorgeous ceremony outside, with cocktail hour up at the barn and a reception at the pavilion. It was absolutely perfect! Everyone would tell us as we were planning that something will not go as planned, but at La Joya that is not the case. Every detail was immaculate and we had the time of our life. We never wanted the night to end and neither did the guests. We truly believe this is the most spectacular venue in all of Colorado and our guests agree. La Joya Dulce is unlike any other venue in all the best ways and we are forever grateful for everything they did to make our wedding day a true fairytale!

La Joya Dulce was the perfect setting for our wedding. We even booked it site unseen after quickly recognizing how great Kathie and team would be to work with. Neither the venue or team disappointed. My husband and I got married there a few months ago and we still hear from guests how much fun they had and how beautiful the view was. Kathie, Loretta and the rest of the team were all incredible from their attention to detail, knowledge and professionalism. They allowed us to customize the venue/schedule/atmosphere to fit our style and incorporated our own personal touches as well. We feel so lucky to be one of the few couples to get married there!

I had seen reviews for La Joya Dulce and pictures that were breathtaking. But I assumed that they were booked already for our wedding date (New Years Day, which happened to fall on a Sunday this year) or wouldn’t want to waste their time with a small group like ours on a holiday. I kept calling other places and getting shot down, or received no call back at all. I finally decided to give La Joya Dulce a call one day on my way home from work. The moment Kathie answered the phone, I immediately knew that my luck had changed. She was a breath of fresh air. Her energy and enthusiasm had me finally feeling like I should have been feeling all along in planning my wedding day-EXCITED! Kathie‘s vendor recommendations were excellent and I continued to feel reassured each time I heard a glowing review from these vendors (and others) about Kathie and La Joya Dulce. Kathie was available by phone, text, email, and Zoom, and every exchange we had was helpful and encouraging. She was always willing to give a practical suggestion or give an honest opinion about what would work best on our big day. As we approached the big day, Kathie recognized that I needed to finalize some plans and ideas, and she couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating with my last-minute changes and adjustments. On the morning of my wedding, Kathie was the first person I talked to. They had been up for hours already preparing the ranch for my wedding day. The heavy snowfall in the days leading up to my wedding-and anticipated rain on the day of-had me worried about plans (and backup plans), but Kathie reassured me that they had plans A, B, and C already in motion! My experience with Kathie up until this point allowed me to take a deep breath and just trust that she and her wonderful husband Wayne would take care of us, no matter what. Little did I know that while I was getting ready in town, they were busy plowing the very road required for us to travel to La Joya Dulce! When we arrived, we had no idea about the amount of work they had put in to get us there safely, as everything looked more perfect than I could have imagined. Breathtaking views as far as the eye could see. Every single detail (inside and out) perfectly planned for and arranged. Our small ceremony was emotional and included our young children. We felt comfortable to be ourselves and truly enjoy the day. My family couldn’t stop commenting on the beauty of the place, and the welcome we Southerners had felt from Kathie and Wayne. Kathie wore many hats that day: cake decorator, impromptu ceremony planner/director, veil adjuster, champagne and hot chocolate pourer-anything in the world that we needed-she anticipated and made it happen seamlessly. I could go on and on in describing the level of guidance and assistance Kathie provided in helping me plan and pull off the wedding of my dreams. Wayne even came through for my husband with a special request after the ceremony that remains a secret between the two of them. La Joya Dulce is somehow more beautiful in person, and Kathie and Wayne went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect for us. I couldn’t imagine my wedding day anywhere else!

Anyone who looks at the photos can tell that La Joya Dulce is absolutely stunning! However, the best part is Kathie and the staff. Unfortunately, I was unable to hold my wedding here. However, Kathie was an absolute saint answering all of my questions and helping me come up with options and ways to make it happen. Even with the most obscure or random question, she was there with an answer in hand. The team at La Joya Dulce is so incredibly professional and personable, and if I ever hold another event, I'm 100% doing it there!

I had the opportunity work with 2 amazing couples that reserved La Joya Dulce for their wedding venue this year. In this business, it's all about the client or couple celebrating their special day and making sure that they get everything they want out of that day. La Joya Dulce goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is unique and exceptional. I was witness to this on two occasions this summer, but what impressed me the most was how accommodating they were for the other wedding professionals like myself to ensure I had everything I needed. Kathie and her husband are so nice and welcoming, great at communicating with all the wedding pros up front. Mandy and Loretta - they are amazing... they work really hard behind the scenes to ensure everything goes smoothly as possible... (I would mention a few of the other girls who work there as well, however I do not remember their names...sorry about that) This is now one of my most favorite wedding venues work at and look forward to coming back to Steamboat Soon! La Joya could not have been more perfect an experience. From the first meeting, we loved the venue and the owners. The breath taking scenery and facility aside, the team was so supportive and helpful. They were truly excited to make our dreams reality. We were married on horseback by the owner and her words combined with the support of the staff made it a storybook day. I look at the photos and am amazed at how smooth and flawless the day went.

Where to start? The feel of LJD is real. It feels welcoming, warm, magical, and like you are getting married on a working ranch in the middle of winter with breathtaking views, long snowy driveways, and an arena that very quickly turns into to best wedding reception you can imagine. Kathie, the owner, is knowledgeable, helpful, and very easy to work with. Kathie and Mandy, the wedding planner, have great ideas, offer lots of suggestions because they know their property, and genuinely want to make it the best day ever. Kathies husband was there to hang ladders, run to the church with the forgotten veil, rig up the horse and buggy and do anything else we asked. They stored so much of our stuff because we were from California and let us bring the grandkids over to pet the horses a few days before the wedding. I'm not sure what else we could have wanted. It was a dream day for our daughter and son-in-law. A day that went without a hitch and a day filled with magic and love.

La Joya Dulce is beautiful and stunning, obviously. But the team at La Joya Dulce make this wedding location even better! From the minute we met Kathie we knew we were in good hands. Kathie and her team made us feel so comfortable and at home on their property. You really can't go wrong having your wedding here. It's even more gorgeous in person, which doesn't seem possible but it's true. If I could get married here every weekend, I would!!

I was the event planner for my clients Emily + Alex and we helped them find La Joya Dulce for their wedding. It was the perfect venue for their big day and as a planner we appreciate the attention to detail, communication, and collaboration that Kathie and her team had to offer. Then on the day of, everything went smoothy knowing all the plans were coordinated in advance! We look forward to being back up at their venue and can't wait for the next event!

There aren't enough words for how highly my husband and I think of La Joya Dulce as a venue, and more importantly, how amazing Kathie, Mandy and Wayne are as people and business owners. When I first started looking for venues in early 2019 (planning for a Summer 2020 wedding), my typically experience with other venues was getting ~5 min to speak with someone. That was not that case with La Joya Dulce. From the first call, I knew they were a different type of venue -- one that cares about their current, and potential future couples, immensely. I could write a whole essay, but I'll give you the basic gist about how wonderful this venue and the people who run it are: - Pre-COVID, we were looking forward to a June 2020 wedding at La Joya Dulce. From my first call with Kathie, all the way to the point where we realized COVID was going to hinder our plans, she was always willing to take my calls, get creative, figure out new ways to go about things, and then eventually change direction. It was a stressful time for couples planning weddings, but I also know it was an extremely stressful time for small business owners in the wedding industry. Regardless of that, Kathie, Wayne, and Mandy were all wonderful, supportive, and again, willing to get creative, and we ended up figuring out a new solution. (It's took a few tries, so thank you for your patience, Kathie, Wayne and Mandy!) - The venue is breathtaking! The view is out of this world, and everything is so well organized. When we finally got to have our party in July 2021, I 100% felt like everything was taken care of, and my husband and I had zero stress about how things were running. They do so much behind the scenes and truly make you feel at home. - La Joya Dulce does this wonderful thing called "Share The Love". This program is the best thing to happen to any future couple, and it felt even more specially after all of the craziness of COVID. Basically, once you decide to become a La Joya Dulce couple, you have access to a whole library of decorations that previous couples have donated to the ranch. There are some "bigger" items that you have to pay a bit extra for, but compared to renting it from another spot, it's extremely affordable. And a good amount of the items are free once you decide La Joya Dulce is the place you want to get married. - They let you pick your vendors. This was HUGE for my husband and I! We were not impressed with other vendors we had spoken to because of how expensive their services were to begin with + the fact that we would've had to go through them for food and alcohol (which they up-charged like crazy). With La Joya Dulce, we were given a list of "preferred vendors" which was very helpful when it came to narrowing down our search, but we were also able to use our own vendors if we chose to do so. Again, I could go on-and-on, but I'll end by saying this: I 1000% recommend this venue to any couple that's looking for a BEAUTIFUL venue, an AMAZING team of people to help make your day perfect, and an UNFORGETTABLE experience.

Kathie and her staff are amazing! They helped make our day better then we ever could have asked for. Even though it rained on our special day they had countless back up plans to make sure our wedding day went without a hitch. LJD is a top notch operation. The facilities, vibe, views and different options are amazing. Having access to there extensive inventory of décor in the "share the love program" was very helpful for us to keep our cost down and not end up with a bunch of stuff we would never use again. The staff was always right there when we needed something and happy to help and keep everything running calmly and smoothly. I cant say enough good things about this place. Our wedding day was absolutely magical and we owe it all to La Joya Dulce and their amazing staff! The facilities and views are breathtaking and offered the perfect setting for our ranch wedding. We had an absolutely phenomenal experience working with Mandy, Kathie, Wayne and the La Joya Dulce team. They make you feel like part of the family with the amount of time and care they commit. Planning a wedding required so much work and energy than we ever anticipated and we are grateful to have teamed up with LJD to help us pull it off. Kathie, Mandy, and the entire La Joya Dulce team are absolutely amazing! We were one of the couples impacted by 2020 covid restrictions and Kathie was gracious enough to allow us to come get married, as planned, with our very limited family and do the wedding celebration in summer of 2021. Both times we were met with amazing professionalism, top-notch planning/time management of the many items that you have to juggle when planning a wedding, a beautiful setup, and just an overall sense of love and excitement from the team. Everyone is super easy to work with, has impeccable taste, and is there to make sure you have a fantastic, fun, memorable day. Hands down, the 2 best days of my life have been at La Joya Dulce! The ranch is gorgeous and the Share to Love inventory is abundant and in great shape! It saved us hundreds of $$ on would-have been decor expenses. Kathie has made great relationships within the community in Steamboat and we used several of her recommendations and those teams did not disappoint. We live in CT and our daughter got married there. Everyone traveled near and far to attend and we got rave reviews from everyone, who loved the venue. I personally was there for a rehearsal dinner 2 nights before and in the personal residence for hair and makeup he day of. Everything ran so smoothly and it was a delight to work with Mandy. I would recommend it to everyone!!

Oh. My. Gosh. Where do I even begin in describing how INCREDIBLE LJD is. My now husband and I chose LJD during the height of the pandemic in 2020. We chose it without visiting it and while it was a leap of faith, Kathie and Mandy had MULTIPLE zoom meetings with my groom and I answering questions. They went above and beyond before a dollar was spent or a contract was signed to ensure we felt comfortable. We knew without a doubt we were making the best decision out of any venue in Colorado. I hired Mandy Crabb for her full wedding planning service and would recommend her to every bride in the universe. Mandy was my peace through the craziness of planning a wedding and anyone can attest that once you get in her presence you just feel at ease. I was an involved bride with planning and Mandy helped me every step of the way by guiding my timelines and suggestions with her expertise and decor skills. However, on the day of, I just wanted to show up and have everything done. That is exactly what happened. The LJD crew went ABOVE and beyond making sure that every detail went off without a hitch the entire wedding weekend. Every table setting, flower, piece of cake, chair, etc., was arranged perfectly and I couldn't be more grateful. After the wedding, I had a number of guests contact me saying how incredible the staff were at LJD and how it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever been to. In short, if you are looking for a venue with breathtaking views, incredible customer service, and staff that are 100% invested in your day, this is the one! I promise if you book this venue it will be one of the best decisions of your entire life.

These people are seriously awesome. We contacted them about five weeks out and they pulled everything together for us and kept us updated on all guidelines. The venue is amazing and Kathie and Mandy are the most detail oriented people on the planet. We had a beautiful wedding during COVID and I can only imagine what they can do when they aren't restricted.

Even through a pandemic, working with Kathie, Mandy, and the entire team at LJD was such a fantastic experience. We received a lot of communication from Kathie, especially once COVID-19 hit, and felt at ease throughout the final weeks leading up to our wedding. The entire experience was just a dream and we had such an incredible wedding day at La Joya Dulce! The pavilion was transformed into a bright, airy space for our reception. We had some truly magical photos taken in the fields at the ranch during golden hour. The ceremony space had unbeatable views of the Elk River Valley. All our friends raved about Mandy and how she was on top of everything. And as a bride, I was able to trust the team with any last minute details or problems, so that I could really just enjoy the day. We have a fond spot in our hearts for this place and the people.

Kathie, Mandy and the entire LJD team have been nothing short of incredible. Our original wedding has been affected by Covid-19 and they have gone above and beyond to not only allow us to have a small celebration on our original date but also reschedule into 2021 without hesitation. When they say you join the LJD family when you choose them as your venue, it really feels like a family. We are so happy to have a team that is able to adjust to the situation and allow us to now have two weddings of our dreams!

I cannot say enough good things about La joya Dulce. Kathie, Wayne and Mandy are simply AMAZING! As we all know 2020 and COVID-19 has been difficult on many of us brides. The LJD team has been incredibly supportive and easy to work with. They've kept us updated every step of the way, given us a plethora of options, and have made this whole ordeal so much better. I feel truly blessed and grateful this is the venue I haven chosen to get married at. I am not sure other venues would be as great as they have been. Even pre-COVID times they were very responsive, offered a ton of support and addresses any/all concerns. They are the most thoughtful team and truly enjoy what they get to do each and every day. It makes working with them a joy rather than a pain. The venue itself is magical! The views are breathtaking and there are lots of different features to make the wedding of your dreams come true. Kathie and Wayne at La Joya Dulce Ranch are incredibly supportive hosts for their stunning ranch outside of Steamboat Springs. They invest so much time and energy into making sure your big day or special event is all that you dream. Their property consists of a gorgeous barn and large covered arena surrounded by horses in the fields with a view of Elk Mountain. I couldn't recommend this location more!

From the beginning, we knew this was our spot after touring the gorgeous outdoor ceremony site and stunning indoor barn facilities. A huge benefit to us was having the entire property for 3 days. YES - you pay a very affordable amount for the entire weekend!! This allowed us to host multiple day events, including our rehearsal, set-up at leisure, and breakdown the day after our wedding. We also loved having the option to get ready onsite in beautiful, spacious, and of course separate areas. The venue offers not only multiple areas to host your events, but includes various (and normally very costly) event rentals such as tables, chairs, linens, bar tops, games, lots of wedding decor, and a very fancy trailer bathroom. At first, I was worried about planning a destination wedding in the mountains while we live far away but Kathie and Mandy were amazingly well-organized and helpful. I greatly appreciated their recommendations for local vendors and willingness to work with all of our preferred vendors and day-of coordinator. We took on planning most of our wedding, and I could not have done it without Kathie’s ongoing advice, problem-solving approach, and sanity check-ins (“what’s the weather like today and how many leaves are left on the aspens?!?!). Kathie and her team did everything possible to make our day special, carefree, and enjoyable for our guests. We received so many compliments on our wedding day, and cannot thank La Joya Dulce enough for everything. In working with this venue, I learned that working with a venue is more than just a place to host your event, it’s all about the people you get to work with (for months…) and the staff at La Joya is as good as they come. My husband and I got married here 8.18.18. Our wedding was beautiful and perfect. Kathy and Mandy worked to make every last detail perfect for us. One of the things I wanted most was to use the horses. Kathy made it happen! During our rehearsal, Mandy had a great last minute idea to open the riding arena doors for my grand entrance down the isle. This past August we asked if we could go back there to celebrate our anniversary by the ceremony site since we live locally. We planned to eat our cake and drink champagne with a picnic blanket setup. Kathy and Wayne went above and beyond to have the horses out, the fire pit going and miss Daisy (the car) out for pictures. It was amazing! Definitely recommend this venue. Our family still has not stopped talking about how fun our wedding was!

My husband & I are SO happy that we chose La Joya Dulce (LJD) as our wedding venue! The views are undeniably gorgeous and the property offers a variety of breathtaking backdrops for wedding photographs. The bridal suite offered lots of privacy from the rest of the venue and was a dream space to get ready in. We loved being able to use multiple indoor/outdoor spaces at LJD (we had our ceremony outside, dinner inside the barn, and dance party in the arena). Uniquely, LJD has an inventory of décor you can choose to use, which cut down on us having to purchase and transport so many various wedding items. For us, one of LJD’s major draws was that they only hold one wedding per weekend. Having access to the venue for three full days allowed for a more relaxed timeline and provided opportunity for us to more fully immerse ourselves in our wedding day and weekend! They have a lot of vendor referrals if you ask for them, but ultimately allow you to choose our own vendors (music, bartenders, caterer, etc), which helped us make our wedding more personalized and also work within our own budget. Kathie, Wayne, Mandy were amazingly responsive, had great suggestions when we asked, and made our ideas and dreams come to life! They work really hard and we felt comfortable and grateful that we were able to put our trust in them and their amazing staff on our day! We chose to hire LJD’s wedding manager, Mandy Crabb, and couldn’t imagine choosing differently! She is a total gem! Mandy was so calming, took charge of all the things we needed her to, and coordinated flawlessly with all our vendors. She genuinely delights in her job and is a jack-of-all-trades…we only wish we’d used more of her talents! I’d recommend LJD to anyone searching for a venue in a CO mountain town (and we’re biased, but Steamboat Springs is a magical place and our guests went on lots of local adventures). Our friends and family traveled from all over the US and we received so many compliments from them about our wedding and their experiences at La Joya Dulce! We have no regrets!

My husband and I love the mountains and knew we wanted to get married in Steamboat Springs, one of our favorite ski towns. Since our home is in Texas, we booked our wedding and reception venue based on the pictures of the beautiful scenery and the owner, Kathie being very responsive and super friendly! La Joya Dulce was an absolutely amazing venue to not only host our ceremony and reception but also our rehearsal dinner the night before. The staff is very accommodating and we had so much fun. The flexibility that the venue allows for helped keep us stress free throughout the entire wedding planning process and the communication from the staff to us was awesome.

Our wedding at La Joya Dulce was truly a dream come true. We got married in the fall of 2019 overlooking the Steamboat valley and all the gorgeous fall aspen trees. La Joya Dulce has an amazing 1939 Jaguar replica that I drove up to our ceremony in. One of my favorite parts about this venue is that you get the ranch for the entire weekend. We were able to set up Friday and make things exactly how we wanted them and then we had an amazing rehearsal lunch overlooking the ranch. The day of the wedding we had so many beautiful options for pictures. The barn was lite up for dinner and made dancing a blast. Above all the owner Kathie and the optional (but in my mind required!) wedding planner Mandy were truly amazing. Not only did they make the day special, they will be friends for life. If you want a venue with a ranch feel and true Colorado beauty I highly recommend La Joya Dulce.

The ranch was beautiful and the staff was absolutely amazing. Seemed like every month leading up to the wedding there were more inventory items and benefits to choose from. Mandy made the process absolutely flawless and HIGHLY recommend using her for day of coordination. Can't say enough about how great it was working with the LJD team. We were beyond impressed with our wedding at La Joya Dulce and experience working with Kathie and Mandy. I could tell right from the beginning that they were going to be easy to work with when I received emails back immediately when inquiring to see the venue. This was the only venue that we went and saw and knew right away that this is what we wanted. The property is absolutely amazing, beautiful and unique. It could accommodate many different styles but particularly went well with my bohemian wedding. The view from the ceremony site is breathtaking, the barn is gorgeous, the bridal suite is amazing and the horses are a huge plus! Our guests loved taking photos and petting them during happy hour and we got the most amazing sunset photos with them as well. Kathie truly goes above and beyond for her guests. They provide an inventory of decorations that can be used, recommendations on vendors as needed, and answered any and all questions that arose during the planning process. Not to mention, everything was well organized which worked well with my type A personality. I would highly recommend hiring Mandy, the day of planner who also lives on the ranch. She was an absolute dream to work with. There was never a second that I did not feel comfortable with her running the show for us and I knew that she would make sure that everything was perfect- and it was! She is truly a shining light and amazing human and made me feel so at ease with any stress that I was feeling. Our wedding was our dream wedding and I wouldn't change a thing about that day. We had many guests say that it was "the best wedding they have ever been to". I would have to agree! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a barn/ranch wedding. There are not enough words to explain how awesome this place is! Not only is the property expansive, immaculate, and gorgeous, but the property owners and staff are what really make this place stand out. We had been in the planning process for over a year and throughout that year they were always so quick to respond to all of our questions and were extremely helpful when we needed recommendations for vendors (bartender, shuttle, florist, etc). This venue comes with a beautiful space for the bride/bridesmaids to get ready, space for the groomsmen, tables & chairs for the reception and a beautiful altar with scenery for miles! They also have a day of coordinator on site who was equally amazing and was somehow able to work with everything we threw at her and pull off a dream of a wedding day.

With so much to choose from, the items helped make the decorating easy. We saved so much time and money with all La Joya Dulce has to offer. We were lucky enough to find La Joya Dulce on the Knot and were fortunate to grab their last available date in 2018. We planned our wedding in less than 6 months and the team at La Joya Dulce was incredibly flexible, helpful and instrumental in creating our perfect wedding. We didn't have a lot of specific ideas in mind in the beginning, but we were able to work with Mandy and Kathy to make our wedding exactly what we wanted. They were very helpful with coordinating with vendors and making sure every detail was perfect. We found our caterer and photographer through their recommendations and both were excellent! We were lucky to have great weather for the ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour and have the dance floor under the stars. It really was a dream! We were even able to include our dog in our ceremony and reception! The venue is so beautiful and it was so much fun to see our guests reaction to the site. One said "you guys are getting married in heaven" and it really was! The day flew by and the timing was flawless thanks to all of the help from La Joya Dulce making sure that we took the time to create flexible timelines and think of each detail in advance. Our wedding day was truly unforgettable and we could not have done it without Mandy, Kathy and Wayne and the beautiful La Joya Dulce.

I held our wedding reception at La Joya Dulce 10/6/2018, and I didn’t even want to wait until after our honeymoon to tell all the future Mrs. out there how incredible it was to celebrate our wedding at LJD! First of all, just look at the pictures. It’s absolutely stunning, all year round. We started planning last January, and have been out in each season since, and I think it’s only gotten prettier every time I see it. There are so many great, beautiful venues out there, but I honestly don’t know that any of them could top the level of dedication Kathy and Mandy give to their brides. They were by my side from our very first email, and I can say I never even waited more than 12 hours to hear back from them when I had a question, or concern, or just plain bride- anxiety. I would say one of my only regrets from planning my wedding was being too stubborn to hire Mandy as my day of coordinator sooner. Mandy exceeds every definition of a “day-of coordinator”- she is professional, reliable, and was an integral part of keeping things moving smoothly when the weather changed its mind the week of our wedding. Beyond that, Mandy brings a calm to the storm that is wedding planning, and is a great voice of reassurance when things get stressful. Kathy and Wayne (the owners of LJD) are the kind of people you who make you feel like family the day you walk in the door, and will go above and beyond in every way to make sure you have the day you have always dreamed about. I can’t say how happy I am to have taken the chance on this “pretty new” venue in Steamboat- our wedding day was just an absolute dream.

Kathie, Mandy and everyone at La Joya Dulce gave us the best experience I could imagine. I always heard from other brides that there will be things that go wrong on your wedding day, but you just have to go with it. On our wedding day, everything was absolutely perfect. I met with Mandy and Kathie about 3 weeks ahead of time to go through everything in person (after many communications via text and email). On the day of the wedding, I was busy getting ready so I was so incredibly surprised that EVERYTHING was how I envisioned it. From where to place things, wording on signs, decor, it was all perfect. It shocked me that they could take my vision and completely transform it into reality. They really were the BEST and I can't recommend them enough! Plus, my husband got to ride into our ceremony on a horse, so he will never forget the experience! After the wedding, we both couldn't stop talking about how great Kathie and Mandy were and how they really made the day perfect. Since our wedding, we have had so many friends come up to us to tell us the wedding was one of the best they've ever been to based on the views, the space, and the flow of the evening. So, in short, if you're on the fence, don't question it- they will make everything you plan come to life! Thank you Kathie and Mandy!!!

I got married here in August of 2018. It was wonderful! We were very pleased with the staff/owners and their willingness to help make our day special. They knew all the right questions to ask, had many of the items we needed so we didn't have to rent, and were easy to get along with. Our day went very smooth. In addition to the staff being so great the view and property are as well. I have many friends that see pictures and are wowed by the beautiful site. We had the ceremony out right at the edge of a little hill that looked down on the valley. Then we had the reception dinner in the barn. It was perfect! It was beautiful inside and had plenty of room for the bar, catering, cake and guests. Then we moved the party over to their horse arena where they had games and a dance floor set up. There was plenty of room for everyone to dance and enjoy the evening. I loved that we had access to the site the day before the wedding, Friday, to set up and get everything how we wanted it so we didn't have to worry about that on the day-of. Then we had the site the day after the wedding as well so that when we were done partying we could leave and get some sleep. It was nice to not worry about the set-up or tear-down on the day of! The staff are so friendly and really know what they are doing when it comes to making someone's day special! I would get married here again in a heartbeat!
