We had an immediate connection when we first spoke on the phone and felt she was laid back with a good sense of humor but able to stay organized and get business done at the same time. This was totally her vibe throughout the planning process. I often told her she was like a warm safety blanket - she always had an answer to my trivial questions and didn’t hesitate to advocate on our behalf at every turn. I’d pick her team again every time! On the day of, she was cool calm and collected and made sure we had bites and drinks and were able to focus on us. Our families loved her - best wedding planning decision we made!

Shelby Wolfe of La Luz Weddings became an indispensable part of our wedding planning. As mother of the groom trying to piece together the vision of my son and his bride, I became overwhelmed with all of the various pieces. Ten months before the wedding, we all met with Shelby via Zoom and discussed potential plans. Shelby’s vendor list was essential in orchestrating the best possible rental and catering companies. Shelby met with the bride at the outdoor venue the month before the ceremony/reception and discussed best plans. Although days before and after the event had perfect weather, the wedding day was filled with intermittent rain, wind, and cold. Even with these interruptions, Shelby expertly produced the most incredible event. The day definitely would not have been exceptional without Shelby.

From Day 1, communication with Shelby was phenomenal. As a fellow vendor, we really appreciated her organization and attention to detail. On the day of the wedding, Shelby was friendly and positive. Her energy was very appreciated! The clients were able to focus on their wedding day and know that their team was taking care of business. The timeline was well thought out and collaborating with her was smooth. The wedding day was executed perfectly and we owe much of that to Shelby! We couldn't recommend her more.

Shelby was the best thing to happen to our wedding. If anything went wrong I didn’t know about it because Shelby handled it all. She was supportive, organized, patient. She helped create all visions come to life. I had a vendor get injured two days before the wedding and Shelby swooped in and found someone AMAZING so last minute. A highlight for me was the first hour of my wedding my husband and I didn’t even hade to go up to the bar. Shelby was a little fairy and just kept the drinks coming. A wedding coordinator needs to be on your budget and more specifically Shelby Wolfe needs to be the coordinator. I had the wedding of my dreams and it was no doubt because she was there.

I knew nothing about New Mexico except that I wanted to propose to my fiancée there. This wasn't a normal ask but when I reached out to Shelby, she got creative and made it work. She helped me scout out locations, she found the vendors, put together a timeline and made sure everything went smoothly minute by minute. I had a budget and she definitely helped me stay within it. My vision for how I wanted this to go couldn't have been done without her. I got to focus on the day, my partner, what I was supposed to say and it was perfect. Booking Shelby with La Luz was truly the best decision we could have ever made! While we loved the idea of having a wedding planner, we figured it was likely not going to be something we would budget for. When things worked out that we could hire a wedding planner, Shelby was the first planner we met with. She was so professional and attentive to detail. With our busy schedules and living long distance, Shelby really came through for us with handling all the big and small details. She was phenomenal in securing all our vendors (all of which were amazing!!). She coordinated all the details and challenges that came with having a backyard wedding. She had multiple meetings onsite with the vendors to ensure the day of went smoothly. Shelby took my vision and truly made it come to life in a way I couldn’t have even imagined. Our wedding was so stunning, and we still receive compliments! Her entire staff (Virginia, Raquel, Jade, Juliette and Julianne) made sure the entire day was executed perfectly! We know our wedding could not have been the fairytale it was had we not booked Shelby. Gosh, we are so sad that our wedding planning is over because we LOVED working with Shelby so much!! 1000/10 would absolutely recommend her and her team!

We had our wedding recently and September and we’re absolutely BLESSED to work with Courtney. From the first meeting until the big day itself, she was simply fantastic! Cannot overstate that enough. All the dozens of little things that stack up and become completely overwhelming in planning a wedding Courtney was on the ball with consistently. Courtney and La Luz Wedding and Events was an incredible choice and stroke of good fortune for us. Courtney immediately paid for herself by helping us select great high value vendors. She then proceeded to organize everything to a T to the extent that my wife and I literally only had to enjoy the company of all of our loved ones during our wedding week and event. Courtney, our most heartfelt thanks for such a meaningful and delightful service that you provided us.

We were completely blown away by the care and attention to detail La Luz brought to planning and coordinating our wedding! Wedding planning can get pretty overwhelming at times, but our stress was greatly decreased by working with Lauren. To anyone out there unsure whether your need a coordinator or not....you definitely do!! In the months before the wedding, Lauren met with us multiple times to go over the details or our big day and helped us identify many small issues that we hadn't thought of ourselves. As the wedding approached, Lauren checked in with our 10+ vendors to confirm services, coordinate drop off times, etc. During this process, Lauren noticed that one of our vendors was not being very responsive. She dug in a little further and found that this vendor had failed to provide the promised services to several other weddings in recent weeks. Sure enough, about 4 days before our wedding, this vendor canceled on us, leaving us with no tables or chairs for our event. However, thanks to Lauren, this wasn't really an issue because we were prepared with a backup rental plan. I don't think we would have caught this issue in time to fix it without Lauren's help! Overall, Lauren was knowledgeable, flexible, and easy to work with. She always remained calm (even when we weren't!) and helped us navigate and plan every part of our wedding weekend. The day of the wedding was fun and relaxing because Lauren was behind the scenes taking care of all the logistics! The day truly wouldn't have been the same without her. We highly recommend working with La Luz and with Lauren in particular!

We can’t say enough about Courtney! She helped make our wedding stress free and wonderful. She ensured everything ran smoothly and solved any problem that came about. She was responsive and kind anytime we had questions and she helped us find wonderful vendors. We are so appreciative and recommend La Luz for your wedding!

I am at risk of gushing, so the tl;dr version is this: hire La Luz W&E to coordinate your wedding! If you want the deets on why, keep reading. Shelby and her assistant, Lauren were hands down the most professional, efficient, kind, funny, and good-hearted people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. We hired La Luz for the month-of coordinating package and from those 6 weeks on, Shelby removed any stress I had about our wedding going smoothly. She immediately recognized missing elements of our contracts with vendors, provided professional advise, and communicated with our vendors, family and friends to insure everyone was where they needed to be on the day-of. If you're thinking, "All of this is to be expected of a good wedding coordinator...?" You'd be right. But bear with me (I'm already crying, brb). At 8pm the night before our wedding, our rental company bailed. Straight up bailed. Would not be coming. Would not be sending anyone as a backup. Would not be providing any plates, glasses, napkins, chairs, silverware, chargers, games, table runners, vases, nothing, nada, zilch. This was for a wedding of 100 people in a remote location. Shelby contacted a new rental company that night (HUGE shout-out to Simply Decor Tents & Events) and she and Lauren drove to the warehouse at 6:30 the next morning to pick up the necessary items in their personal vehicles, did the complete set-up with some help from my friends (not in her contract, btw), took everything down after the reception, and returned it all by midnight, driving the 1.5 hours from Blame Her Ranch back to Albuquerque. All in all, an almost 20 hour work day for them. Not a single guest (besides a handful of our friends) had any idea what had happened and the outcome was beautiful. To top it all off, Shelby didn't even tell me until the morning when they had already solved the problem, working with my mom throughout the evening so we could enjoy our night with friends. My husband and I cannot recommend LLW&E enough. Thank you Shelby & Lauren!

I thought Shelby's efforts and commitment were Herculean. She was absolutely amazing and I have so much gratitude for how she helped make my son's wedding a glowing success. The one crises that occurred she handled masterfully. The rental group that was contracted (Beloved Rentals) flaked out and turned out to be a scam. But that didn’t prevent Shelby from getting that gaping hole filled in and everything went off without a hitch. It really was an amazing effort. I even appreciated her sense of humor and her ability to derive joy in the festivities. Even when we went through the rehearsal, she had a knack for helping everyone feel at ease. I tend to be a curmudgeon when it comes to posing for pictures or dressing up, but somehow Shelby found a way through and helped me feel more at ease. Hiring La Luz Weddings and Events might have been the best wedding gift I could have given my son and now partner, Sarah. My career involved having to sponsor several events and I have always appreciated the benefits of having an event planner, but Shelby might be the best I’ve ever experienced. She was amazing!

Courtney is amazing! Not only did she take away all the stress that goes along with planning a wedding, she was fun to work with. Our wedding day went perfectly and our friends and family are still talking about how amazing it was a month after. Thanks to Courtney, we got to spend our day having fun and not worrying about logistics. She was worth every penny and easily the best part out our budget. She was also a great sport when the best man tried to get her to sing impromptu karaoke!

Oh my, I’m not even sure where to begin. To say Courtney and Shelby made our craziest dreams come true is both hyperbole, and accurate. My wife and I approached La Luz with a wedding weekend — a luxury, multi-day event with many twists and turns for our guests. We got to treat everyone with many surprises at the Four Seasons in Santa Fe, all brought to life by La Luz — from salsa and margarita icebreaker competitions, to friend swap events, to a reception twist where everyone had to look under their seat; Courtney and Shelby brought all of it to life. But the biggest surprise for us was how close of friends they became. Working with them was like working with your best, most organized, prompt, and ‘we’ll make it happen’ friends. They helped us through every detail, and crisis (like the wedding dress getting stained 5 days before the big day!) I can’t praise this group enough, and am ready to have them plan more than just our wedding! ~One happy groom

Wow! Working with Shelby and Courtney was seriously a dream. Not only were they beyond helpful, but they are so friendly and easy to get along with that we were thrilled to have them be part of our big day. We had a pretty complex wedding with many events spread across several days as well as it being destination (we nor did majority of our guests live in NM). But Shelby and Courtney took on the challenge without a sweat and delivered beyond belief! When people ask us now how we feel about the wedding looking back on it, one of the first things we say is how it went exactly as we wanted and planned. The only reason that happened is due to Shelby and Courtney's amazing quality of work, detailed nature, and knowledge/respect in the local wedding community. My husband and I are both extreme planners and are also very detail oriented, so the trust Shelby and Courtney built up with us that resulted in us letting go of the reins and not feeling the need to jump in with any spreadsheets or "what if's" was a true gift. I can honestly say the best decision we made related to the wedding was hiring La Luz!

Not enough words to express how amazing Shelby and Virginia of La Luz Wedding & Events are. Shelby and team were the wedding coordinator for my daughter/son-in-law's wedding at the Taos Ski Valley on 6/24/23. She was instrumental in guiding Teresa and Evan through the process for the 4-6 weeks before the wedding but absolutely invaluable the entire weekend of the wedding. Not only did she work what I expect to be her normal magic of executing all of the details the bride and groom where hoping for, keeping the bridal party informed and being where they needed to be when they needed to be there all the while keeping them calm and happy, but she also had to contend with extreme unexpected hitches including loss of electricity, loss of cell/text capabilities and at one point, loss of water (not to mention dealing with both mothers of the bride and groom). Aside from the electricity going out while the bridal party was getting ready, my daughter and the bridal party had no idea about all of the other issues going on, demonstrating what an amazing professional Shelby and her team are! Shelby also, not only assured the bridal party was fully and lovingly taken care of through each detail of the weekend, but she continuously checked in with the parents of the bride and groom asking what she could do for us. She coordinated all of the venders and assured the last payments/tips were passed onto the vendors so the families/bridal party did not need to worry about anything during the weekend, and she worked seamlessly with the venue coordinator. And all of this was completed with a smile and feeling of calmness the entire time! What a true professional as well as amazing person! My now husband and I hired Courtney and La Luz to serve as a day of coordinator for our July wedding. I didn't initially believe that I needed a day of coordinator or a wedding planner, but I'm so glad I hired La Luz! The day of package is a bit of a misnomer as Courtney worked with us a lot prior to the wedding, not just the day of. We met with Courtney at least twice prior to the wedding and she was available whenever I had questions or last minute ideas or concerns. Courtney even caught that the videography company I'd originally booked had gone into bankruptcy and helped me book a replacement only a month out from my wedding. I'd already booked all of my vendors and had the majority of my wedding planned and Courtney helped fully organize and pull everything together, just like I'd visualized. Courtney organized all of my vendors, helped wrangle my family, and kept everyone on schedule and on the same page. She was so friendly and sweet and was truly the best to work with. My day was practically perfect and I'm sure it's because of Courtney and La Luz. I'm sure that something or multiple things went wrong the day of, but I wouldn't know because Courtney handled everything! She made sure my now husband and I stayed hydrated, actually had time to enjoy the dinner we'd spent ages deciding on, and even managed to bring us the canapés from our cocktail hour. If you're unsure if you need a wedding planner because you've already booked all of your vendors and planned basically all of your wedding, the answer is you do and you need La Luz. Your day is going to go by so fast and having Courtney and La Luz allowed me to take in and enjoy as much of the wedding I'd planned as humanly possible. 100% would book again for any event.

My now husband and I could not have pulled off the amazing wedding we had without the event planning services Courtney at La Luz Weddings and Events provided. She was detailed, organized, and made herself available to problem solve any issues. She became such an integral part of our wedding and a resource for our family and friends as well. We had a long engagement (2 years) and finally got married in June 2023. I'm not sure how successful our event would have been without the help, support, guidance, and information provided by Courtney and La Luz Weddings & Events. Wedding planning is an intense and confusing process (or it was for me)- and it was made so, so, so much easier with the help from Courtney. Her lists helped me stay on track and make sure I was getting everything done, and her regular check-ins were very much appreciated. If I ever found myself totally confused or unsure about something, all I had to do was email or text Courtney- and I would have a detailed response back quickly. When it down to the wedding week, Courtney was AMAZING!! She made sure everything was ready to go and perfect- and our day went smoothly because of all the work that she did for us. I got married 5.5.2023 in Abiquiu, NM. I am from Dallas, TX so a destination wedding was a little (a lot) intimidating. I wasn’t sure where to start or what to do first. We planned to have an almost 2 year engagement so I knew I had some time. I found Courtney in December of 2021. Right away from the first consultation she was super accommodating and informational. She is confident and knowledgeable. I decided to contract with her for the 45 days our wedding planning. She helped point me in the direction of vendors and was available to me during the whole process. I didn’t most of the coordinating with other vendors myself (because that is how I contracted with her), but she was always willing to help me when I had questions. She did regular check-ins to keep me on track. The whole wedding planning process with Courtney was stress free and easy. She’s had tons of checklists and guides that were so helpful. Now…. For wedding weekend…. I can’t express enough how amazing and perfect it went. I give ALL the credit to Courtney for being able to coordinate with the venue and all the vendors. She helped set up and take down decor so my family could focus on the day and managed everything seamlessly. She made sure we ate and drank water. She made sure anything important to us happened. I would get married again in a heartbeat because of how PERFECT everything was. Courtney and her husband feel like family and it was a blessing to have them there for our special day. If you are even considering booking with Courtney… just do it. You won’t regret it.

Shelby from La Luz was our month-of coordinator and from the first meeting we could tell we made the right decision hiring her. If you are all uncertain of how helpful having a coordinator/planner can be, let me tell you we did not regret it one bit, and we really didn't anticipate just how helpful it would be. It's especially helpful when your coordinator is as professional, detail-oriented, and proactive as Shelby is. Leading up to Wedding: Shelby seamlessly picked up the planning and coordinating from what we had in place when she started ~8 weeks before the wedding. She helped us find the things we had missed or hadn't thought about, gave us suggestions on how to make our ceremony and reception perfect, and had answers for every single little question we came up with. She did all this while keeping an upbeat and positive attitude with us without fail. Shelby and the La Luz team share their digital planning resources with you on google drive to keep the progress organized and documented, which made it so easy for us to keep an open line of communication about what we needed to do, what Shelby was working on, and what was still left to finish. When rain and thunderstorms threatened our outdoor plans, Shelby was ready with multiple contingency plans for us to choose from and she was able to work with our vendors to make sure the show would go on no matter what the weather brought. While we were panicking, she was encouraging while still being realistic, which was just what we needed. During the Wedding Weekend: Shelby really was the glue that held our wedding weekend together. She and her assistant Tabitha (who also just seemed to naturally know how to help make the day run smoothly) showed up hours ahead of time to help decorate and direct the other vendors as they showed up. She took care of all the details big and small, from pinning on my boutonnière, to putting on my wife's vail, to adjusting the flower girls' flower crowns, to directing the entire ceremony. During the reception, she made sure everything happened right down to the minute we had planned on the timeline, and still somehow made time to bring us cocktails. Shelby took the absolute best care of us and I cannot recommend her and La Luz enough. Shelby and Courtney are experts - you will not regret hiring them.

If you need a wedding coordinator, we highly recommend Shelby Wolfe with La Luz Weddings & Events. Shelby and her assistant, Anna, helped make our wedding day so special. We thought we could plan and organize our wedding ourselves. We considered a wedding coordinator at the urging of our kids. From our first call with Shelby, we knew we were in over our heads, as she brought up things we had not even thought of. What did Shelby do: • She listened to us and she took our vision and developed a plan/timeline for our wedding day. • She remained calm and professional, as our stress rose with the approaching day. This allowed us to be confident that our day would be what we had hoped for. • For the wedding and reception, she orchestrated the plan to perfection, walking us through the day and taking any burden off us. • And she cared and watched out for us to make sure that we had time to eat and checked in to see if there was anything we needed. My daughter was married last September and I was not familiar with what a planner would do, but thank goodness for Shelby! The months of planning, the details required and most of all the support she provided throughout the process was terrific. She was very organized, flexible & creative. Most importantly she was an incredibly steady hand, with a very calm approach during the planning as well as on the day of the wedding. All this was even more incredible as Shelby was expecting to deliver her baby at any moment. I rarely ever do reviews, but as a mother of the bride, I am confident & happy to recommend Shelby.

Courtney was so amazing from the very start! From communication to making sure every box was being checked along the way. Any questions that we had she was on it! Always let us know she was there. Our wedding went so smoothly! We are so grateful to have had all the help and support!

Our experience with Courtney and the La Luz team was phenomenal! When the month of the wedding rolled around, Courtney and her team really did everything - the only thing we worried about was our rehearsal dinner and making sure Courtney had what she needed! Our wedding day itself was close to perfect, and Courtney's team went above and beyond - one of her team members even took it upon themselves to use our Polaroid camera to snap photos throughout the day, which quickly became some of our favorite memories. La Luz was worth every penny and more, and we would very enthusiastically recommend them to anyone getting married in Albuquerque!

I worked with Courtney directly for my wedding in June. She was FABULOUS!! My husband and I did a pretty low key wedding, but Courtney was able to help us with every detail possible. I went into this knowing nothing about wedding planning, but our event went SO well because of Courtney! No major mishaps, snags or disasters. I cannot reccomend her talents enough! Shelby was great and super helpful in pulling together our wedding! My husband and I had a little bit of a vision but I'm not great in the decor department and she made our wedding a beautiful occasion. She was there for as much or as little as we needed depending on the subject (catering, decor, music, etc) but had great vendor recommendations and was so so so helpful the day of and leading up to it! And provided the inspo for our paper airplane exit :) Couldn't thank her and her team more!

We absolutely loved Courtney and we were incredibly lucky to work with her. We originally hired Courtney to just do the day of, but she was so helpful we ended up asking her to assist with everything in the last 4-6 months of planning. Courtney was exceptional to work with. As any engagement year goes, I was incredibly busy and managing to execute on my dream wedding was not something I could do alone. We were doing a destination wedding to Santa Fe, NM from Austin, TX and planning a wedding afar seemed daunting. After interviewing several options, Courtney was the clear winner. She was prompt, had good follow up, and was detail oriented right off the bat. She's easy to work with and has a great personality. She did a great job holding us accountable for tasks we needed to complete and keeping us on track with all the milestones to planning our wedding. We were super comfortable asking questions and really leaned on her expertise when selecting vendors. Contracts, payments, etc were all easy to manage with her spreadsheets too. Wedding day was absolutely perfect. Courtney did a good job preparing us prior and was so wonderful to bring us water throughout the night to make sure we were hydrated! She coordinated with every vendor making things run smoothly before and during the wedding. Everything was well executed and we had a blast. Highly recommend working with Courtney and the La Luz team!

Courtney was the most relaxed wedding planner who went with the flow and never made me feel stressed. She kept everything flowing but never overwhelmed you. So sweet and so gentle, never judging with whatever crazy request you present her. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

Courtney was everything we could have asked for in a wedding planner AND MORE! I simply do not have enough great things to say - she was absolutely spectacular. 1) Courtney strikes the perfect balance of being extremely organized and on top of things while being equally laid back, easy-going, and chill. I was never stressed that something would fall through the cracks. At the same time, I never felt that Courtney was overwhelming me with requests and reminders. I cannot emphasize enough how crucial this balance is. Wedding planning is insanely taxing mentally and emotionally, with or without a wedding planner, and having someone that keeps you both calm and on track - both for the months leading up to the wedding and the day of - is truly invaluable. 2) Courtney was super helpful with 'stakeholder management'. There was often tension between the wedding couple, our parents, and/or vendors, and Courtney was about to help intermediate and/or intervene, and she ensured everything went smoothly, according to how we (bride & groom) wanted. And she did so in a way that didn't cause any drama or conflict between wedding couple and our parents (or vendors). This is another very underrated skill. 3) Courtney is super experienced and very well-regarded in the ABQ wedding community. This proved very useful. A lot of the vendors I interacted with were super happy to learn we had Courtney as a wedding planner. They were pumped because a) they had worked with her before, which made logistics very easy, and b) they liked her a lot! 4) Courtney was exceptionally responsive. I sent literally hundreds of e-mails & texts to Courtney over a 9-month period, and I honestly can't remember a time where it took her more than an hour to respond. She was unbelievably dedicated to our wedding and could not have been more helpful. The event was executed flawlessly, and a ton of credit goes to Courtney. It was an absolute pleasure working with Courtney. We interviewed many wedding planners and I can confidently say that we unequivocally made the right decision. I cannot recommend her enough!!

Of all the things that could have happened on the day of our event, a mini-tornado was the least expected. Shelby and her team handled it expertly. Once the debris settled, they moved our outdoor cocktail hour into an indoor space with incredible speed. When the guests arrived, nobody could even tell that the indoor space was the backup plan. From the planning process to the day-of coordination, La Luz Weddings and Events made our event feel so much easier. It was a grand success! Five out of five stars for sure!

If I could give La Luz Weddings and Events more than five stars, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Going into planning for our one-year anniversary celebration, I was confident that we’d be able to figure out all of the details on our own—let’s just say that our confidence disappeared a few months into planning. Working full time while trying to plan a major event is STRESSFUL. We hired La Luz for month-of coordination and it was the best decision that we made and COMPLETELY worth the investment. From start to finish, Shelby took so much weight off of our shoulders and made the month-of much less stressful. Not only that, but on the day-of, the La Luz team helped set up, kept the event run on track, coordinated with vendors, cleaned up, and was there for any additional support we needed. Having Shelby as our wedding planner and day-of coordinator was awesome -- we felt so lucky to have her. Courtney (who helped us while she could before maternity leave) recommended her, and we're grateful! I can't say how often a wedding-related concern would occur to somebody in the family, but I can say that every time, I got to say, "we talked about that with Shelby" or "Shelby's got it, don't worry." She was totally on top of everything, and she made it clear to us what we needed to do (which we needed because we were not on top of it). Her vendor recommendations were fabulous, as was her team. Day-of, everything was just handled. We had no worries because we knew Shelby was there.

Shelby and the La Luz Weddings and Events crew were wonderful to work with and did a wonderful job planning and executing our wedding. We met with Shelby a hand full of times but she was so organized and detailed in her approach it took away so much of the stress when planning the wedding. The level of communication was perfect and Shelby kept track of what and when we needed to get certain things done so that everything got done in time and was always willing to take on more if we requested it. The day of the wedding, she ensured everything ran smoothly, which allowed us to relax and have fun! It was the perfect wedding experience. Shelby and her team at La Luz Weddings are AMAZING!!! Shelby was so organized and so dialed in to the details, both big and small, that we were wanting for our big day. After our first meeting I knew we were in good hands. Leading up to the wedding Shelby had everything handled with our other vendors, we didn't have to worry about a thing. On the day of, the best part was Shelby's reassuring face that everything was okay and ready. She was defiantly a calm in what is probably a mostly chaotic day. Everything, from the arrival at the church to the set up at the cocktail hour to the reception venue, it was all perfect! Shelby was even there as I needed my dress bustled!!! I couldn't imagine our wedding day without Shelby and her team.

Courtney was beyond amazing! I am not a big planner and at times felt a little in over my head. When I would feel that way I would reach out to Courtney for guidance. She was quick to respond and calm my nerves. We had monthly check ins and each time she would reassure me that everything was going smoothly. Her family was even gracious enough to help with bussing tables because I could not find anyone that was available. Leading up to the wedding she took over all communication with my other vendors which made my life a little easier. I talked so highly about her that my mother-in-law even hired her to help with the planning of the rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal and day of went perfectly! She checked in throughout the wedding day and night to make sure we were doing ok. She even had to help with my bustle a couple of times. There was a lot going on during my wedding, but Courtney helped so much and honestly, I would have been lost without her.

We hired Shelby as a month of planner for my wedding in Ribera, NM at Blame Her Ranch. From the very start Shelby was responsive, attentive and provided us with all the documentation needed to help keep track our vendors and budget. A month before our wedding, she took over communication with all of our vendors. It was such a big help since we were road tripping to our wedding destination and wouldn't be able to wrap things up ourselves. Shelby and her assistant were there for the rehearsal dinner and stayed overnight with us on the ranch which was great just in case anything came up! On the wedding day Shelby was an absolute pro!!! She quickly reorganized the ceremony and some reception details when we got completely rained out from monsoon like rain. She knew all the right questions to ask and was quick on her feet to run decisions by me and the Groom. Without Shelby's help and coordination I don't think our wedding would have ran as smooth as it did. She is amazing and we are so happy we hired her!! I would 100% recommend La Luz Wedding Events to other Brides or anyone looking for event coordination.

Courtney and the La Luz team were absolutely amazing. I continually called Courtney my wedding angel throughout the entire process. To be honest, I am someone who has always been the party planner, the decorator, the orchestrator of fun - so when I hired a planner so many of my friends were surprised. But, Courtney offered "partial planning" which was absolutely perfect for someone like me. I had the vision, she just made it happen and kept me on track. She picked up the calling, the logistics... all the stuff that took more brain power than I could give while keeping up with my full time job, numerous wedding events, not being crazy and maintaining my relationships, and a lot of other crazy life threw our way. Hiring a planner was the best decision I could have ever made. My family enjoyed their time too and no one had to be asked to do more than "be here at this time". THANK YOU COURTNEY! WE LOVE YOU!

My husband and I were happy to plan our wedding ourselves and got the rest of our vendors set up, but about 6 months before we began to feel overwhelmed with keeping logistics of it all straight. So we hired Shelby from La Luz to be a day-of coordinator with some extra hours of planning help before the event. This was the best wedding wedding decision we made hands down! Shelby was super responsive and organized. She helped us make sure we covered all the little details that needed deciding (like what dances we should do, who is in charge of grabbing decorations at the end of the night, etc.), helped plan our timeline, and took over correspondence with our other vendors to make sure they arrived and got set up at the venue. This took a lot off of our shoulders and was such a relief. Then the weekend of, Shelby and her assistant Raquel led a very good rehearsal and made the wedding so smooth - intercepting and answering questions from family, keeping people on schedule, etc. All we had to do was be there and enjoy being in the moment of getting married! On top of it all, Shelby was so kind and a great hype girl for our ideas. Highly highly highly recommend Shelby and La Luz to other couples who want any amount of coordination help!!

Working as a Private Events Manager, I can't say enough about Shelby and her team! Leading up the wedding, Shelby was extremely, organized, positive, and responsive ensuring that all vendor needs, and client expectations were to be met from both a venue standpoint and day of execution. Courtney was truly a godsend! I was hesitent to hire a wedding planner due to the cost and with expenditures adding up very quickly. A wedding planner felt like a luxury and not a necessity. I can wholeheartedly say that hiring Courtney was the single best decision we made for our wedding. From the day we hired Courtney she was professional, extremely responsive, flexible, pleasant to work with and organized. She frequently checked in and guided us throughout the whole process. She was very attentive and made us feel as though we were the only event she was planning. She is a wealth of knowledge and her experience was very evident.
