La Mirada Golf Course

I have not played golf here, but I did host our wedding here and can review that part. With less than 5 months to plan a wedding, we chose La Mirada Golf Course for not only it's beauty, but the amount of items included in their wedding packages, and we could not be happier. The event coordinator and staff guided us the whole way and that made the day of so much easier and more enjoyable; to be able to sit back and relax on such an important day is a big blessing. I highly recommend this venue!

I Worked with Zelina closely and I have NO complaints!! The Prices are reasonable! She worked out numbers multiple times to help is figure out the best package for our needs! My Family is still talking about how great the Food was!! Kuddos to the Chef!! He took the time to hear my husband and I. He took the constructive criticism soo gracefully and ultimately prepared a wonderful meal for my loved ones! The Staff on my day were wonderful! Kept me on schedule! I would not choose anywhere else to go!! My wedding was held at their gazebo and the pictures came out beautiful!! No need to go anywhere! We were able to enjoy every minute of the party!! I hope this helps you out picking the place for YOUR DAY!

Where do I even start? I am so happy that my (now) husband and I chose La Mirada Golf Course to be the place we'd be getting married. Zelina is the event coordinator at the Golf course and she did a fabulous job! I didn't have a wedding coordinator helping throughout the whole process of my wedding, so she stepped in to fill those shoes on the day of the wedding. I had a few hiccups at the beginning of the wedding day and she was able to make everything perfect for me! I cannot express how happy I was at the end of the day. She made all my guests happy with her exceptional service and communication with her team. I would highly recommend getting married here. The food is great! The servers are great! The location is great! Nothing else tops it. The wedding packages are very practical as well.

Everything was PERFECT!! Zelina made our planning our wedding stress free at a very reasonable rate...what more could you ask for? Thank you again for making our day all we dreamed of and more.

La Mirada Golf Course is an amazing venue. We were super stoak when they got new management. The pervious management was good but Zelina and her team made it even better. It felt like we paid for an upgrade, when they took over. Zelina and her team were amazing. Since day one, she was consistent. She would reply in a professional manner with an appropriate time frame. She had all the paper work organize and dated. She took care of us since day one. The day of the wedding. The team went out and beyond with customer service and team work. I felt that they had things taken care of. They truly were a great team. I enjoyed our night very much and its because of them. They made it stress free. When asked to do something etc. get a towel, pick up an item left behind or anything for that matter, the team did it with a smile and effortlessly. Overall I would recommend this place to a future bride to be. The ballroom is spacious and well maintained. I loved it all!!!!

Overall, the La Mirada Golf Course was the best decision my husband and I made throughout the whole wedding process. Zelina and her team made everything so pleasant to work with. Staff was very professional, and were able to adjust to any of our needs. They truly treat their customers as if it was their own wedding they are putting together.

We had just gotten married a few weeks ago, and overall we loved our venue! We had a lakeside ceremony with beautiful views... our reception hall had just as beautiful views with very elegant decor as well. Food was good, but our cake was AMAZING! (from pacific patisserie) Our guest had an great time! Only thing I would comment is that when you set up, make sure you double check what you can and cannot do, there was no flexibility. Other than that, it is an great venue!

We are so happy that we chose La Mirada Golf Course for our wedding day! It was affordable and the staff is awesome with accommodations! I will say that when we first booked the wedding here, there was another event director that was running wedding events and I was becoming very disappointed due to the reply time that I was receiving. When I first found out that they had changed event directors 3 months before we were getting married I was starting to panic! BUT... It was for the best! Zelina, the private event director was such a blessing! She sat down with us to make sure that all notes lined up to what was written in our contract, etc... She made us feel confident that our wedding was going to turn out beautiful. and was VERY VERY responsive! I know that there was tons of other weddings and events that she was handling but she always made me feel like my event was her sole focus. She worked with us every step of the way and I couldn't have asked for a better person to help us make our day special. The day of our wedding: The ceremony chairs, water service station, and golf cart were all in place for our guests. I loved the service that they provided to drop our guests off at the ceremony site if guests had walked to the reception area. The reception tables, chairs, easels, cocktail tables were all set up to perfection! I was so impressed not only with Zelina, but all the additional staff that were working that day! The beverage director was so kind and would check in to make sure everything was coming out perfect. The service staff that were serving our plated food were consistently making sure that we had enough drinks and our sweetheart table was cleared. After the wedding I received TONS of compliments from our wedding guests that the staff were so helpful and would go out of there way to make sure everyone was having a great time. Would definitely recommend this venue and staff for future weddings!

I got married recently at the La Mirada Golf Course. The ceremony took place at the gazebo site. It was absolutely stunning. The reception room is beautiful! Working with Zelina was so easy. I felt that she genuinely cared about my vision, she responds quickly to emails, worked very hard to accommodate my budget, and made my day run very smooth. I could not be happier with the overall outcome of my special day. I very highly recommend booking events here.

I've read bad reviews about this place after booking and was very scared. But to my surprise, I had a great experience working with Deb and our wedding was beautiful! Deb was very helpful and always got back to me quickly. I read a review with the planner being changed on them many times. Thankfully Deb was my go to for the whole year I was planning our wedding. The ceremony site has been redone and the gazebo looks great with the lake. Our bartender was very friendly. Everything was great! Deb was great to work with and even helped me get cheaper vendors. I didn't have much time to eat that day but I heard the food was good and the serving staff was friendly. My tables were set up nicely and my wedding planner was able to set up earlier than expected. I recommend this venue! They have made many improvements!

My family paid for the highest package at the La Mirada Country Club, the platinum package and it was not what we were promised, or more importantly, what we paid for. I was promised a wedding planner with the package, which started off okay. I was planning my wedding from Oklahoma, so the wedding planner was essential for me to help with the details since I was so far away. However, over the whole year that I was working with the Country Club, the wedding planner was switched on me 4 times. The first time, I was not informed of the change and I called and emailed the ex-planner for weeks before I was contacted back and informed she was no longer working there. I then visited the venue during vacation and met with the temporary fill-in, who had no idea who I was, when my wedding was, or any of the details of the platinum package. She could not answer any of my grandmother’s or my questions. I was alarmed, but since it was still about 8 months from the wedding day, I wasn’t too worried. After I went back home, the planner was switched again, and I was not made aware until two weeks later, again only after repeated emails and calls to the ex-planner. Finally, the new planner Rita and I completed all the details. I came out to California two weeks before the wedding, planning on a meeting at 1pm and that day I was emailed at 7am stating that Rita was no longer working for the venue. I called the general manager, Steve, who had no idea I was coming in for a meeting, and even asked me if I had picked my food yet (ten days before the wedding!). Finally, I met the new replacement, Roxanne, the day before the wedding at the rehearsal. She had no idea about the dessert table that we had ordered, which really panicked me. The day of the wedding, the air conditioner was not working, and my mother and uncle had to repeatedly ask for someone to make sure that it was going to be fixed. Roxanne had only set up 9 tables, after meeting with her the DAY before and organizing for 10. My father had to personally move table settings and set the new table himself hours before the ceremony. The hour before the wedding, Roxanne was meeting with potential wedding clients, driving them down to the gazebo and showing them our decorations, as well as taking them inside the ballroom. My bridesmaids had to yell at her to get her attention because she was in charge of the bouquets and she was busy elsewhere. The appetizers were not hand passed as often as the contract stated, and I had to go in myself to ask where one of the appetizers was because it was missing. The schedule we organized was not followed, which meant that everything started later and my photographers only captured my grand entrance before their paid time was up. Our guests had a choice of two entrees, and they didn’t write down who had what so Roxanne had to ask my mother during cocktail hour how she should serve the food since they didn’t know who had what. My mother paid for an additional queso cheese package for my husband, which was supposed to be a funny surprise. She paid an extra $500 DOLLARS for the package, expecting portabella mushrooms, baguettes, cauliflower and broccoli and Roxanne served raw carrots with the green ends still on and raw broccoli! It was just pathetic. Instead of fully enjoying my reception, I was worried with details that we had all thought were taken care of. It was terrible. My family and I felt uncomfortable, worried and frustrated. Do not book here.
