Had the pleasure of being the wedding planner for a wedding at this wonderful property. What a beautiful and perfect day our couple had! Bella and her team were attentive to every detail. The entire team was so great to work with. They made sure our couple had the best experience. The night turned out perfect. I highly recommend this hidden gem!
My husband and I searched many venues in San Diego while looking for the perfect place to host our wedding. None came close to the beauty and services provided by Morgan Run and our wedding coordinator Bella. Bella went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our big day was exactly as we had imagined and within our budget. The service, quality of food, friendliness of the staff and beauty of the location made our wedding day truly unforgettable.
Morgan Run Club and Resort made my wedding better than I could have dreamed and helped with everything from planning through the reception itself.
Bella, the events Director was incredible. She was thoughtful and responsive through the planning stages and was knowledgeable about the venue space. She was very helpful and provided great recommendations for menu selections and decor in the ballroom to make everything perfect with our theme and colors.
Bella also helped with our rehearsal and coordinated day of, ensuring we were prepared, in the right places, and that everything went smoothly.
The venue itself was stunning. We got to use the Del Mar lawn for the ceremony, the Terrace for cocktail hour and the ballroom for the reception. Each space was beautifully prepared and the option to have a change of scenery was appreciated by our guests. In addition to that, we were able to get Romantic Portraits on the golf course and they turned out beautiful!
The food was amazing. It was a huge relief that they provided it in house rather than having to look for an additional vendor, and it was delicious! Our guests were thrilled with the quality of everything from the drinks, Hors d'oeuvres, salad, and dinner.
Lastly, the hotel was fantastic! Morgan Run made it so easy to set up our room block for our guests. Not only that, but it was so convenient for our guests (and us) to be able to stay at the venue and have our rooms within walking distance from the reception. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the staff was so kind.
I recommend anyone planning their wedding to choose Morgan Run!

Wow! Such a Blessing to work with everyone! Our day went perfectly! Everything was set up and ready for us. Pamela Spence our planner was amazing! She answered all our questions and helped us to have the perfect wedding!
The food was amazing, the setting gorgeous and our bridal suite was perfect! Our relatives stayed as well and their rooms were perfect! And best of all we were able to have a live band perform!!

Morgan Run and Kennedy and her team were wonderful to work with for our wedding. From start to finish they were so helpful and willing to work with us. The ceremony site on the golf course is beautiful and the reception and cocktail hour space is close and spacious. We had 130 guests and everything was perfect. It was reasonable in price for the Rancho Santa Fe area and the plated dinner and all the food was quite tasty as well! We would recommend it for any wedding!
Communication was so poor leading up to the date that they offered us free package add ons to make up for it. Then, on the day of, we had wedding crashers come and repeatedly drink from our bar, which we were paying per drink for. To top it off, female guests were sexually harassed by these guys during and after the wedding. Staff was notified and did nothing. When we brought this to managements attention after the wedding, their position was to say we were lying and made it all up. They said "we asked the bartender and he said he didn't serve any crashers, and we asked the front desk person if he was notified of crashers, and they both said nobody was their." In other words, the two low level employees were asked a yes or no question, with the yes answer likely leading to their termination... big surprise they said no...
We provided them with a list of 30 witnesses to tell their stories, but they were never contacted.

If you want the wedding of your dreams Morgan Run will execeed it! Our event coordinator Anna Williams was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. She created a BEO, or our wedding bible, if you're OCD and like things completely organized she is your lady. If you're not the most organized she's still your lady, as she will lay every detail out on a timeline. Even with last minute changes while the wedding was going on Anna remained poised and would adjust things effortlessly. The whole team at Morgan Run was beyond helpful, polite and professional during the last eight months. They are very prompt to respond and treat you like you are the queen, after all you are you only get this day once. People told me to expect something to go wrong and know it will be OK, that id be the only one to notice...Our wedding played out to perfection without a single mistake. Anna was in contact with all our vendors through the entire process. The day of, it was so awesome to know everything was going well and she would even come check in to make sure we were happy. We were escorted with our photographer and videographer on the golf course to all the best photo spots and even our vendors were raiving they loved this man. I let them know the entire staff was this awesome. It is honestly the perfect venue. I would highly recommend this venue and our event coordinator Anna Williams to any couple wanting a beautiful and stress free wedding.
The food is amazing, the package is good. I added stuff so i went over the price but the location makes for amazing pictures. :-)
Morgan Run did a fantastic job of hosting my wedding. My guests thought everything was perfect. We served salmon, salads, beef, ravioli, parmesan mashed potatoes, bread, veggies, coffee - everything was delicious. We closed the bar during dinner, but it worked out fine because Morgan Run provides a bottle of red and white wine at each table. For the cocktail hour, a spread of crudités was included, which was fresh and delicious. The bartender was fabulous as were the servers. The set up was perfect - we had stations well spaced for the dinner, for the cocktail hour belly bars w/candles, a table for the crudités, and a bar. We also had chargers at each dinner table and guests were notified to go to the stations when their charger plates were picked up by a server. They also set up a table for us with the guest book & Mexican candy that my sister brought in, they set up linens and the chairs with a gold ribbon in the reception room, tuxedo napkin folded napkins, the wedding cake was raised, and the ceremony had the wooden arch. The overall appearance was fantastic. Although the coordinator, Jeff, was sometimes tough to get in touch with (I imagine they were slammed because my wedding was during peak season), when we talked he was always professional and responsive. Pat at the front desk was also great. She promptly sent me my room lists for review and distributed my guest bags to everyone that stayed at the resort. My guests loved having access to the pool, the spa, and the golf course. Although the food at the wedding was fantastic, breakfast at the restaurant was not that great (my coffee was terrible and cold), they do not offer room service on the weekends, and they offer Ethernet rather than wireless. However, I heard the brunch was top notch (admittedly, when I go home I always opt for a breakfast burrito), and it was great having a bar at the hotel because as soon as my wedding was over my guests continued the party at the bar (which also sells cigars). The location is also gorgeous, and perfect for pictures. They were also flexible - during pictures we wanted a golf cart and Jeff immediately made that happen as soon as my bridesmaid notified him. The bridal suite was FANTASTIC - it was the perfect size and accommodated my bridesmaids and the moms for prep the day off the wedding very well. Some downfalls were that they were unable to locate my wedding veil the day after the wedding, they forgot the signs at the food stations, and they initially set up the iron arch rather than the wooden arch, but those things were remedied (except for the veil ;-( they also found my fiancé’s glasses and immediately mailed them to us. I loved the convenience of having my guests stay at the same place as the ceremony and reception. Overall, I highly recommend Morgan Run as a wedding venue.
