From the moment we walked into Labella Bridal Boutique, we knew we were in for a special experience. We were greeted by Doug, who welcomed us with a warm smile—even though we arrived a bit early for our appointment. He was so friendly and immediately helped my mom browse through the beautiful selection of Mother of the Bride dresses.
Then we met Ellaynne, who was truly a ray of sunshine. Her positive energy and friendly demeanor instantly made me feel comfortable and excited. She introduced us to Karla, who was an absolute gem. As someone who can be quite indecisive, I was so grateful for Karla’s patience, kindness, and expertise. She took the time to help me explore different styles and made the entire process feel relaxed and enjoyable. Every dress I tried on was of exceptional quality, and it’s clear that a lot of thought goes into the curation of their collection.
When I finally found the dress—an impressively one-of-a-kind piece—both Karla and Ellaynne were genuinely excited and supportive. Their joy felt so sincere, and it made the moment even more magical. On top of that, my mom also found her perfect dress, which made the day even more memorable.
Working with Doug, Ellaynne, and Karla was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine passion for what they do made our experience unforgettable. I am so grateful to have said “Yes!” to my dream dress at Labella Bridal Boutique—and I highly recommend this beautiful shop to anyone looking for an exceptional bridal experience!
They helped to make my dreans come thru with the perfect dress. The alterations department did an amazing job also.
I loved my wedding gown purchased from and tailored at LaBella! This was the fourth shop we visited, and I could tell that Ellalyne and co. had a higher level of experience and knowledge than most. The dress was nearly perfect off the rack, and extra boning and bustle adjustments were added on a smooth timeline.
I ABSOLUTLEY LOVED THIS BOUTIQUE!! It was my first appointment ever to find my wedding dress. I'm on the bigger side so I was very nervous that I wouldn't find the dress of my dreams. I was greeted warmly at the front and me and my mom, mother in law to be, and my bridemaids made our way to the back to this gorgeous fitting room with a mini showcase stage and mirrors. We had one of the best bubbly champagne or wine I've ever tasted (I forgot to ask the name because I was nervous about my dress fitting). The owner, Ellalyne got to know my moms and my bridal party which felt so important to me and really filled the room with love and made me feel at ease. We started to go to the fitting room where my mom was about to follow and she assured her that she can relax and enjoy the show and that she has me. Ellalyne made me feel so comfortable and reverified the the type of dresses I was looking for. She quickly picked some out for me and helped me into the first dress and omg it fit! I looked beautiful! I then came out and showed everyone and it was all smiles and full of love and tears! She fixed my hair in different ways and showed how she can add fabrics and different veils. My mom and bridemaids had questions. I think I showed a bit of an irritated face because I didn't want them to bother her too much but she smiled and told me it wasn't a problem and answered all their questions joyfully! I told Ellalyne what I liked about the dress and just minor things I wish it had. And then she picked out my 2nd dress to try on and I was in awe before I even put it on.. this is everything I could've wanted in a design. She had undergarments ready for me for this dress as well! I put it on and before I walked out I looked in the mini mirror and began to tear up. I LOVED this dress and it looked great on me! I think it must've showed on my face because when I came out everyone was in awe and said those phrases "omg this might be the one" and "oh she LOVES this dress". I knew this was the one. It was perfect. BUT one of my bridemaids wasn't there. She was going to meet us at my next appointment. Ellalyne told me that she would stay late and could have us all come in later for my other bridemaid to see me in the dress! Oh how thankful I was. But lucky enough my bridemaid was actually prepared for anything and she was only 5 minutes away! So I said YES this is the dress!!! My other bridemaid came in and we did a photoshoot! Specially with her and everyone! We had cute signs and such a great time. Ellalyne even showed her my first dress which was so kind and thoughtful of her. This experience was more than I could've ever asked for and it was all because of Ellalyne. I can't wait to come in and do my alterations and work with her more! This place feels like a family and if you want to feel special and find your perfect wedding dress, GO HERE!!!
I just purchased my dress from here! My appointment was absolutely amazing. Ellalyne was friendly, professional, and made me feel beautiful in everything I tried on! It felt like shopping with a friend, not a total stranger. I also thought there was a great balance of consideration between what I was looking for in a dress and also what my mom wanted to see me try. Ellalyne made sure everyone was happy during the dress shopping experience!
Since my appointment, there has been very clear communication about my order and the estimated delivery date.
The staff is not knowledgeable about their own inventory.
You aren't allowed to take pictures. It was an awkward experience with depressing music and the consultant barely spoke. My sister found one dress she really liked. It wasn't until she tried it on THREE times between other dresses that the consultant said "but if you need another size this one can't be ordered" knowing this one was one size too small. Bizarre and terrible experience. Absolute waste of time. Went to another bridal shop afterwards which had amazing selections and excellent service.
This little store is tucked away in Occaquan, Virginia and it is amazing. We went shopping at David bridal and had a terrible experience. They said the bride could try on 3-5 dresses. The dresses we found there were dated.
Labella had a large selection of dresses in a wide variety of styles. Labella was able to narrow down the style we wanted and we found the perfect dress.
Overall a great experience that left of feeling like we had just met with a family friend who helped us find the perfect dress.
When we arrived for our appointment they were not on time to receive us. This took away time from me being able to try on dresses. Although, it was a lot of fun to drink champagne and feel very special during this pivotal decision in the beginning of my wedding adventure. I ultimately chose one from this vendor even though I felt very rushed at the end as they were about to call in the next customers.
The dress I did choose was gorgeous although for the price point, which I was able to talk down, I was surprised that there were rips and missing buttons resulting in significant tailoring services. The in-house tailor is very knowledgeable as she has been working on wedding dresses for decades. However, I feel like the tailor's suggestions just kept racking up the price ( almost the total of the dress itself) of the services with no major noticeable differences. Suffice it to say, the dress turned out great and fit me well. It was a very complicated dress with many buttons and a completely laced back.
I was very very nervous about trying on dresses as a plus size woman. I don’t usually shop in person, and am definitely not comfortable doing so in front of other people. La Bella was my very first appointment, and from the second we started trying dresses on, Ellalyne made me feel comfortable and beautiful. She had set aside a few dresses that matched my wishlist and Pinterest board - and the very first dress I tried on was the one! I also had my alterations done at La Bella Too - Marla and the alterations team were on board to get my dress looking exactly how I pictured it. They built beautiful sleeves, created a perfect bustle, adjusted the neckline, and more. My appointments were efficient, and every detail was taken care of. They also shared information and a coupon for dress preservation and cleaning.
Embarrassed my Mom, Lied to Me
I tried LaBella Bridal on my second visit for a wedding dress, and I didn't dislike my experience. I didn't find a dress I liked, and I didn't fit great in any of them either (they all had to be bunched in the back, and the straps were all the wrong size), so I didn't end up working with them. The woman who worked with us was nice too, even though I wasn't excited about any of the choices she picked out for me (honestly I would have preferred to choose a couple myself first so she could know better what I was looking for).
However, because we thought it was a decent enough experience, my mom went back with her sister to try on dresses herself. She was already apprehensive about the dress-shopping experience going into the appointment. The only person there was a man which surprised her - she was uncomfortable with him helping her get dressed/undressed (she was grateful her sister was there). She actually found one she liked (not offered by the man) and she wanted to try that one on, but it wasn't her size or color. She asked to try on a different size and to see other colors, even if just online, and the man helping them said they didn't have her size, it was too small, and that she just had to pick a different dress in her size. That made her so angry and upset. He also said he didn't know how to get an online order started, that whatever she tried on would be the dress she bought. That's when Mom found out that it was an off-the-rack store, which I didn't know at all until yesterday (my appointment was last fall, 2022). They took the tags off so that people couldn't write down the label/designer information so someone could go buy the dress somewhere else (made sense as I was not allowed to take any photos during my dress appointment, and I had no way of getting the designer information if I wanted a dress that day). My mom left the store in tears, and my aunt was angry. I only heard about this experience yesterday, and it infuriated me that my mom left this shop so upset about her experience.
My mom and I visited yelp yesterday and found a review from Dec. 2022 (after my dress experience) about a bride who was sold a dress off the rack that was 8 sizes too large (they had altered it in store to fit, but the actual alterations that would have been needed would have cost several more hundred dollars). The dress information and explanation that she was buying that exact dress (not an ordered one in her size) was not disclosed to her prior to her purchase, and she was mislead multiple times during her experience. I felt so angry after reading that plus after hearing about my mom's experience. I looked on the LaBella website to try and find something that says they only sell off-the-rack dresses, and I couldn't find anything. And I'm angry at the fact that my mom was already hesitant to go dress shopping, and that the man there was trying to push her towards dresses that she did not like/did not make her feel comfortable or beautiful.
This store was recommended to us by personal friends, and they had great experience which is awesome. But I do not appreciate the lack of information and misleading that both my mom and I experienced. I would absolutely not recommend LaBella Bridal to anybody for wedding dresses or mother of the bride dresses.
I did not feel at home more than at LaBella Bridal. From the moment I walked in, I felt like this would be the place I found my dress. Ellalyne does all she can to find the perfect dress and take into account the bride's wants and the guests' hopes. She asked my mom and best friend what they would love to see me in and how they would describe me. She put her all in making the experience fantastic. Another thing that really put this place over others was Ellalyne's attention to detail. Being a larger sized bride, I had other shops try to squeeze me into too small of gowns and ended up making me feel bad about myself. This was NOT the case here. Ellalyne made me feel absolutely beautiful in everything which helped boost my spirits and hone in on what I truly wanted. In the end, I did find my dress and a new friend in Ellalyne. I will be recommending this shop to everyone!
DO NOT GO TO THIS BOUTIQUE. Ellalyn sold me a dress that was eight sizes too big without mentioning it before we bought it and tried to charge $900 for alterations. My experience at her shop was extremely misleading and disappointing - please think twice before working with her.
LaBella's is an amazing bridal boutique. All my friends and my sister and I found the perfect dress here with the help of their amazing staff. I had my heart set on a pink lined dress and Marla went above and beyond to find the perfect material and make all the alterations. It was exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. Thank you so much!
I cannot put into words how much I recommend this Boutique! I received a truly unique and personalized experience while shopping for my dress and had it altered there with no issues. On my wedding day, my dress was everything I could have ever wanted to wear when I married the love of my life! I highly recommend Labella Bridal Boutique!
ALL FUTURE BRIDES DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!
Marla and Jennifer are probably the DUMBEST and RUDEST people, I can’t even say women because they have no compassion at all, I have ever met. HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE COMPASSION IN THE BRIDAL INDUSTRY!!!
We started my fittings in June and just took the dress home today 10/05/22. My wedding is 10/29/22.
They messed up my dress so badly that I’m truly appalled. They made it 8” too small after the first fitting (when they pinned my dress so that it would form to my body) but as Marla says: “they make their dresses too small all the time lol”.
Oh and she laughs at everything so be prepared to listen to her think all your frustrations are so funny if you actually decide to go there.
It took 7 fittings total and they never even got my dress perfect! Two of the appointments were canceled due to me being called in for jury duty and then one was canceled by Marla because they hadn’t started working on my dress! So it would have actually been 9 fittings with the end result not being done right.
It is also a 3 hour round trip each fitting! Marla and Jennifer never cared that it took so much of our time each fitting to come there and find out the dress isn’t anywhere near done! They are nasty people!!
It took them 4 fittings to make the breast area somewhat better (it still isn’t how I want) and that is because by Marla’s words: “oh I didn’t write down all the things that needed to be done so I forgot” and “Jennifer’s daughter got married and so she was gone”.
I DO NOT CARE! THATS NOT MY PROBLEM! I am getting married too! The world doesn’t revolve around Jennifer’s daughter! And get a NOTEBOOK THEN!!!! I’m pretty sure you learn to write in kindergarten.
They need to be closed down or at least put the gremlins that work in the alternations department into a dungeon and actually hire real seamstresses.
They ruined my entire wedding dress experience! I hate them for that! I can never get that back! They should honestly be in the funeral industry because everything they touch they kill!
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! YOU WILL TRULY REGRET IT!!!
There are no words to describe what a wonderful experience shopping at Labella Bridal was for me and my family. Ellalyne is pure gem, a rare gem. Her beauty and intellect radiate throughout the duration of her appointments. She ensured that my bridal vision and wedding day dreams were a priority. You can feel her passion from the moment you enter her one of a kind boutique. All of my expectations were fully exceeded at my appointment. I cannot express how grateful I am and how wonderful it is to be a part of the Labella Family! Not only did I find my dream wedding dress, but I also found my dream welcome party + exit dress! Charleston, SC is going to shine a little brighter that weekend all thanks to Ellalyne.
I found THE pink ball gown for my wedding at Labella but it was three sizes too small! Marla at Labella Too worked her alterations magic, and my dress turned out perfect. It was so comfortable that I wore it all night long! Marla is a wonderfully sweet person who really knows her craft. Thanks Labella for helping to make my day magical!
The owner has an incredible eye for the dress I wanted! We had to get a literally perfect dress since we did not have time for alterations, and the owner DELIVERED! Her dress fit perfectly, required no alterations, and it was a huge hit on my wedding day. She has an incredible design resume, and it truly shows when she brings you incredibly gorgeous dresses for your try on! She perfectly matched my style, and body type, while still showing me a great deal of new styles that I loved, and wouldn't have initially thought of trying. I've also used the alterations department for attending other weddings, and they are speedy and always perfect the first time. 10/10!
I've gone dress shopping twice prior to coming to Labella Bridal Boutique. The boutique was beautiful and super clean, followed COVID guidelines was. I would say, this was the best customer service received. They printed a small sign with my name to welcome me. Ellalyne was personable and easy going. She was able to help me incorporate new ways on how to wear my pearls. Myself and my future sisters-in-law had a wonderful time. We were able to drink Prosecco during the appointment. The vibe and atmosphere felt like we were visiting an old friend, having a good time. There was no pressure to buy a dress.
And though I found a dress I loved, I could not say yes to the dress. I ended up going with a dress that I originally saw online and unfortunately Labella Bridal did not carry it. I strongly encourage all brides that live in the DC area to venture out to this boutique.
The best and only place I would recommend any bride to get their dress. Labella Bridal was so professional and knew exactly what I wanted. The experience I had at Labella Bridal made my wedding dress dreams come true. Not only did I find the dress of my dreams but had such a memorable experience with my family. Thank you to Ellalyne she truly is the best.
I only went to two stores but clearly this should have been the only one. She paid such close attention to what I liked and didn’t like. Her expertise shined in each dress and accessory she put on me. There are not enough good things to say about this place. If you’re looking for a wedding dress, then this is where you need to look! All the dresses she pulled for me were stunning and gorgeous. My group and I felt so comfortable and welcomed. I could not have imagined a better experience in finding my dress!
Growing up in Occoquan, I always saw the most beautiful dresses in the window of this shop. My mom scheduled an appointment for us, and this was the first and last dress boutique I visited. It was hands-down the best experience I could possibly ask for! Ellalyne sets up every appointment for just you, and makes you feel like you are the most special woman in the world. She has an amazing selection of gorgeous and unique dresses for you to try on, and helps you find a one-of-a-kind dress that you feel like was made for you. What an amazing experience! This was part of what made planning my wedding so special, all thanks to Ellalyne and La Bella Bridal!
Had my wedding dress alterations at La Bella Too. I was really happy with the outcome. I felt like all my ideas/concerns about the dress were heard and addressed without the alterations costing an insane amount. I also had a bridesmaids dress hemmed and will be bringing dresses to be altered there in the future. Thank you so much!
LaBella Bridal Boutique was a great place for wedding dress shopping and I was so happy to be able to find my wedding dress there. I visited LaBella’s twice. For the first visit, I was helped by Eva who was so nice and helpful! I found a dress that I liked, but wasn’t able to say yes right then because I needed more time to think about it. For my second visit, I was helped by Ellalyne, the owner, who was just as nice and helpful and made the whole experience so awesome! I was able to say yes to the dress during my second visit! There is only one copy of each of the dresses at LaBella’s; you do not order dresses from LaBella’s, the dresses you try on are the dresses you take home. For instance, when I went back the second time (~5 months after the first visit), the dress I had originally liked was no longer there, so I tried on different dresses and found another one I liked. While this did not end up being an issue for me, I feel it's a good thing to be aware of going in.
My appointment at Labella was like none other, Ellalyne took time to get to know me, and who came with me shopping. She already had dresses picked out for me and the entire salon was just focused on us. The first dress was beautiful, but the second was The One! I didn't even know a dress like that existed and she matched it to me perfectly, I didn't even get to see the dress until it was already on me! Ellalyne took time to make small adjustments to the dress, like pinning the straps to fit, which none of the other salons had done, and it made such a HUGE difference being able to see the dress actually fit me! My privacy was also kept in consideration and I appreciated that greatly, something else I hadn't seen at my other appointments too.
There is literally no point in shopping anywhere else. Beautiful, one of a kind dresses to fit all budgets. Ellalyne the owner will work with you to find exactly what looks best on you and fits within your budget. She knows exactly what dresses will suit you best and haves them picked before hand. Accessories, shoes, veils, dresses all you need. Bridesmaids and grooms too. Its such a VIP experience, and all of the dresses are one of a kind stunners. Absolutely breathtaking. I cannot stress enough that this is the place every bride should go. I only wish I could try on more dresses with her!
I was very fortunate to find my dress at LaBella Bridal. From the first minute we walked in for the initial dress appointment, EllaLyne made my group and I feel welcome. She called me a couple weeks before my appointment to ask me some questions on what I was looking for. When we got to our appointment, she had me try one on that she had pulled just from that conversation. After trying on several other dresses, we kept returning to that first one. EllaLyne knows her product and her clients so well that she was able to find the perfect dress for me based on a phone call. On top of that, the dress was nothing like what I was originally expecting to like, which made it even more amazing. I then got my alterations done downstairs at Labella Too. Alterations ended up working out, but they were very frustrating to work with downstairs. I had 4 appointments and 2 of those appointments, they called and cancelled because they had not gotten the alterations done in time. The second time they did this was 1 week before I had to pick up my dress to fly home for my wedding. I was getting married in California, so was flying home a week before to finalize details. However, no matter how many times I told them I was leaving early, they kept telling me there was plenty of time because my wedding wasn’t for a couple weeks. When I tried calling EllaLyne to make her aware of the situation, she never returned my calls. I tried calling her 10 times at the shop and left 5 message, all left unanswered. Fortunately the dress was ready when I went to pick it up, but I had specifically scheduled appointments to allow time in case any of the final alterations we’re not right. Because she cancelled the last appointment, I had to pick it up blindly and just hope for the best. Therefore, I would highly recommend purchasing your dress from LaBella, but you may consider taking it somewhere else for alterations or start your alterations appointments before the 3 months prior to your wedding like they recommend.
Found my dream dress and had the alterations done here. Ellalyne is so accommodating and sweet and cared so much about my experience and wants. The alterations were expensive, but that was the average price if you go anywhere, so not specific to them EXCEPT the person who does their alterations really knows what she is doing, so it made me calm, they also hold your dress for you until you need it for your wedding- that was free and so helpful!
From the moment I got there, they made me feel comfortable. They offered us drinks and the owner was so sweet. She helped me with every dress and wasn't pushy, she could totally tell when I wanted to move on. Even though I didn't find my dress there, I works recommend it as an option for people willing to spend over 1k. Such a lovely place.
So, firstly, don't expect to take pictures of various dresses you try on. They won't let you unless you buy it, which isnt very helpful if you want to compare. Second, watch out for the alterations portion. You'll pay an arm and a leg. About half the amount of the dress unless it fits perfectly from the get go.
My dress was amazing, but the alterations were a pain. I bought the dress and left it to be altered for almost 3 months (I live in the Midwest so I was going to come back a few weeks before ceremony). They had to fix a zipper in the meantime as well. I then had the fitting after 3 months and they had forgotten to replace the zipper. We scheduled more alterations at that visit. Then I had another fitting but they forgot to get my underbust bra done. So I had a third fitting, where they were going to take in the bust more. The day I went to pick it up, 15 minutes before my appointment, they call me and tell me that the underbust bra isn't done (that's 2 times now). I was already sitting in the parking lot having driven there. This was 2 days before I would leave to go to my wedding ceremony location. So I made sure they knew I was taking it home that day and that it's unacceptable to have paid over $700 for alterations that were not completed in the scheduled time frame. I was then told that when communicating with the seamstresses, they sometimes "forget things." My response was that customers pay A LOT of money for them not to forget things like that. So I came back an hour later after having wasted my time being there on time for my appointment, and told them that I was unhappy and that it was ridiculous that things aren't being done and forgotten about. Of course, all they said was sorry and didn't offer to compensate for the time lost. I could have had my dress altered somewhere else for a cheaper price and have had it done in a timely fashion versus paying and overpriced fee on every little thing and the place forgetting that it was needed to be done.
When I arrived to the store for an appt, the store clerk was confused. He looked up to see that I was scheduled and mentioned they attempted calling me, to find out later the number was written incorrectly. Due to this, the consultant scheduled for me walked out and didn't come back. The clerk attempted to assist me in lieu of the consultant, but I wasn't able to find anything that fit my style.
Overall, I understand that even though their style doesn't fit me, it will fit others. However, I was unpleasantly surprised at the unorganization of the consultation compared to all others I went to.
I have been meaning to write this but Labella Bridal Boutique is hands down the best Bridal Shop I have been to. Before, I went to a few bridal salons around me but never really came to a decision on the wedding dress. When I made an appointment with Labella, I was still nervous. My husband and I went to the appointment and Ellalyne was so personal and really wanted to hear our vision for our ceremony ! We tried a few dresses and she saved the One for last. It was perfect and the way that she treated not only me and my husband but also when I skyped in my family on the west coast, she made it everything and more! I am so happy that I said yes to the dress, she made sure that I understood everything. I highly HIGHLY recommend Labella Bridal to find your wedding dress, prom dress or a special event dress!
I cannot say enough good things about Ellalyne. She is absolutely fantastic! She always has something kind to say to you when you walk into the store. It took about three appointments before i said 'yes to the dress'. She was patient with me through it all. I also love that she helps you find the right accessories such as veils, hair accessories and a bouquet so you can picture how you will look on our big day. Marla in alterations is wonderful! I love this store. I would recommend it to everyone.
A wedding dress can be a very emotional choice for a bride. For me, I had hoped to use my mother’s dress as a tribute to her because she passed away when I was nine. Unfortunately, her dress didn’t fit me in a way I was comfortable. I had even talked to a place that does wedding dress alterations, but after considering all that would need to be changed, still knew I wouldn’t feel right in the dress. So I had mixed emotions about buying my own dress. There aren’t enough stars to convey how much I appreciated all that Ellalyne did to make my experience at Labella Bridal Boutique incredible. First I stopped by her lovely boutique on a whim, no appointment. Generally, not how most wedding dress shops work, right? She was so kind, she let me try on a few options and then we scheduled a more formal appointment. During my appointment it was like having a warm, caring fairy godmother open her closets of beautiful lace/silk/sparkly/you name it gowns (but think young and beautiful godmother). She has such a talented eye for what will look good on you. But what impressed me more was how she listens to what your vision is, what your budget is, and what *you* are looking for; so that you never feel like she is pushing or pressuring you into a dress. Then once you do pick your dress, if it needs any alterations Marla is right downstairs and I cannot rave enough about her talents. I wore a dress I was meant to be in thanks to Ellalyne and Marla at Labella Bridal Boutique. And the dress perfectly matched my mother’s veil, in a sign I think she approved of the dress too.
It only took me about two hours to find the dress of my dreams. The staff is absolutely amazing and they always make you feel special no matter what the occasion. I had bought my prom dress there as well so I knew its where I wanted to get my wedding dress. They are more than willing to work with a budget which really helped my mom and I. The owner of the store is beautiful, kind and very educated in wedding dresses. I highly recommend LaBella!!!
I was sold a dress, over budget, that didn’t fit. I was never made aware of the fact that everything in the store is sold “off the rack”. If I had known that, I never would have purchased my dress. When I asked the owner why she sold me a dress that didn’t fit, she tried to blame me by saying that it did fit during my appointment (it didn’t), that I was made aware of what I was purchasing (I wasn’t), and that one of the reasons they sell their
dresses off the rack is so that they can carry a variety of dresses to accommodate “big brides” like myself.
I was a bit nervous about trying on wedding dresses but Ellalyne and Eva were so helpful and friendly; they quickly made me feel comfortable. It was like shopping with two more friends and they were very understanding of my budget and worked with me. Ellalyne chose the prettiest veil and accessories for me to try on with my dress. I ended up buying everything there! I'm so happy I found this place!
Finding the absolutely perfect dress for my wedding was so tiring. I had so many bad experiences and a hard time just finding what I really wanted. When I went to Labella, I was hoping to find the one. I not only found the one, but I found a dress that was perfect for me in every way. I loved every aspect of my dress, and got so many compliments on how I looked. If you want something different and haven't been able to find what you're looking for, definitely look here.
When my grand daughter told me that she was asked to the Homecoming Dance, the first place that came to mind was La Bella Bridal Boutique. I knew I would receive excellent service and would find a unique gown. Not only were we treated like royalty, the quality and finding the perfect gown was the easiest thing ever. Not only that, we received a free pair of exquisite shoes which were perfect and I could cut one more shopping trip off my list. Thank you for a great experience and my grand daughter felt like a princess.
Always a great place to visit. There's always a great energy and a positive environment. Everyone is always so helpful. I've been shopping here for gifts.
I had an amazing experience at Labella Bridal! I felt comfortable, special, and like I had their undivided attention. I went to David's Bridal first, with an appointment and I had to compete with all of the walk in's. I saw my consultant 3 times and she made me pull my own dressed from the rack. Do you know how hard it is to pick out a white dress in a room full of white dresses!? At Labella, I didn't have to do a thing except model dresses for my family and enjoy the experience. They are very flexible in pricing and help you stay within budget. Hopefully, I never get married a second time, but if I did, I'd go back to Labella!
After looking at several other boutiques and many, many dresses, another bride told me I needed to go to LaBella. My mom and I went on a weekday afternoon, and we had the salon all to ourselves. They have an amazing selection of unique dresses that didn't look like any of the dresses that I tried, and in a variety of creams, ivory, and blushes. Elyane was wonderful at pulling the kinds of dresses that I was looking for (just remember to ask the price before you try it on). I found an amazing dress to say yes to. We were able to work with the price and alteration costs.
As if the personalized, hand-written holiday card wasn't enough to explain how caring and wonderful the staff at this boutique is, you get to have alterations preformed by Marla. Marla is incredibly talented and knows what she is doing. Trust her with your dress and make the trip to Occoquan.
I recently went back for my first bridal dress fitting with Marla. She did such an amazing job at listening to what I wanted to do in order to make the dress my own as well as give thoughtful advice on what would make it look classy for my body type. I live out of state and planning an out of state wedding can be difficult; however Marla offered to work around my schedule when I fly back in the next few months for my second fitting. Every time I go to LaBella's I feel very welcomed. They do a great job at making sure your experience goes as smoothly as possible! I would highly recommend them, especially the wonderful works of Marla Dean!
I liked the personal attention I received when I booked my appointment. They only take one bride at a time. Although, I thought it was distasteful that I was charged $20 for a bridal bag. I purchased a dress that was a floor model and was told it would be dry cleaned after the alterations but they did not keep that promise. Bait and switch-they did not dry clean the dress because they claimed it would turn it yellow. I think they may have steam cleaned the dress but they missed the stains/spots so when I came to pick up the dress, I had to point out the stains and wait while they tried to remove the spots with some sort of spot remover. They removed most of the stains; the stains are barely visible. The dress was also missing some of the original details when I purchased it (a flower on the bodice was missing and some of the crinoline) so I paid nearly full/original price for a dress that was dirty and missing pieces. But the owner did work with me to discount alternations that I had to have done to the dress to compensate for this. What I didn't like most was the alternations shop associated with the store. I would have preferred a seamstress who offered suggestions to help enhance the way the dress looked on me but I didn't feel that she offered much in the way of advice. For example, the dress was missing a flower when I purchased it so I was looking for something sparkling to make the dress less plain. The seamstress offered a few suggestions that weren't really me and then she gave up and I was on my own. I shopped high and low and brought samples to my appointment and she was less than excited to help me. I also bought a bustier from another shop and I spent closer to $75 altering the bustier so it wouldn't show but it ended up creating back fat. Here’s a tip for small breasted women, you don’t need a bustier; I wish the seamstress would have suggested that. The worst part is that the day I went to pick my dress up, I showed up an hour early and the dress was not ready. I was told that I wasn't allowed to wait in the store and had to wait outside. When I came back on time, the seamstress had not completed the work and the dress still had the stains so I waited another hour. I emailed the owners but she has never called me back.
I feel fashionable, it was fun.
It's true, when you've found the dress, you know! Found my wedding dress here; however, it was ridiculously up-charged. Did the alterations at La Bella Too (downstairs, who made a custom bustle for me that was perfect!) and the seamstress said she had worked on this dress at Alfred Angelo. Sure enough, my dress was for sale at AA brand new for cheaper than what I paid for it at La Bella. Just be cautious, and know that these consignment or secondhand dresses are not at secondhand sale prices. Staff is very thorough though and will definitely woo you and give you that glow-y, bridal feeling.
Last year, I stumbled upon LaBella, made an appointment, and found the perfect dress. They brought me in after the store closed, so I had a completely private appointment with my mom, sister, and a couple bridesmaids. They asked for what I thought I wanted, and pulled dresses that fit the criteria before my arrival. When I had the second dress on, they went back, pulled some more, and the third dress I tried on fit like a glove. It only needed minor alterations, which they helped me with. I had given them my budget, and they came in below budget, which allowed me to also get a beautiful veil and hair piece. Working with LaBella was one of my favorite experiences in the wedding prep process!
WOW! I just have to say that I was skeptical of going to a bridal boutique for my dress because most are known for being quite expensive as opposed to going to a more known store such as Alfred Angelo, David's Bridal, and others. Ellalyne blew my mind! We were instantly greeted as we entered she cute shop and taken to a private bridal staging area with tons of dresses lining the walls. Ellalyne asked me what two words describe the dress I was looking for and instantly brought me back a few dresses in my size and what I was looking for - each dress I tried on fit EXACTLY what I was envisioning for my special day. With her credentials of past work, it's no wonder she has a fantastic vision! I recommend her to my friends who are even looking for prom/homecoming dresses since they have a whole section for those as well. Funny enough, one of my bridesmaids who is getting married 2 weeks after me got her dress from LaBella - they just really know the dress industry.
Ellalyne is absolutely incredible and really made the experience. I went to a million dress shops and was getting so discouraged. I liked so many dresses but hadn't found "the one." She found the dress and made me feel like royalty. She made the process amazing, the shop is beautiful (I highly recommend leaving some time to walk around Occoquan...it's adorable), and the selection is great. Do yourself a favor and check Labella out!
The owner, EllaLyne, was very knowledgeable and kind. I was looking for simple, yet sophisticated wedding dress, and had visited about a dozen wedding dress shops, both regular retail and consignment in the DC/VA/MD area. In fact I had purchased a dress at another store but it just wasn't right. Once I got it home I knew it wasn't "the dress" and after a week or so, I decided to try "just one more wedding dress store".
I found LaBella on YELP, it had great reviews so I decided to give it a shot. EllaLyne provided terrific customer service and chose various dresses for me to try on. We got to about the 8th dress and suddenly, it was like magic, I tried on "the dress"- it flattered my figure and skin tone and just looked amazing. There is an elegant "walkway" with mirrors in the shop so you can see how your dress and train look from different angles.
I was embarrassed to tell EllaLyne that I had already purchased a dress but just wasn't happy with it. She said, no problem, don't worry about it, I can help you sell your dress on consignment. That made me feel better.
*** I urge brides-to-be not to give up and just settle for a dress that you don't "love". As long as you have a few months before your wedding keep looking until you try on a dress that you do love.
I purchased the dress and told EllaLyne that my mom would be visiting from out of town the following weekend and asked if I could come back and show her the dress. EllaLyne said sure, and suggested I let my mom help me select the veil, which she did, and we had a lovely time and were treated to top notch customer service, again. To top it off, EllaLyne was able to sell my other dress in a matter of months and sent me a check in the mail.
If you are looking for great customer service and a wide selection of wedding dresses, be sure and go to LaBella Bridal. I plan to return next time I need a special occassion/ black tie dress as they have a nice selection of those as well.
I found MY dress here! They treated me with such care and attention you would have thought I was Ellynne's sister! Very professional and caring, she knew exactly which dresses to pull for me to try and I think we knew which dress was "mine" before I even put it on! After visiting David's Bridal this was a breath of fresh air! Marla did an amazing job making the dress look like it was cut just for me with her alterations! Even if you don't end up buying from them it is worth it to go just for the care they put into your time there (but please buy from them so they can stay in business!) They also have some wonderful bridesmaid dresses, I was going to get my MOH dress there, but unfortunately the manufacturer couldn't rush it fast enough, but that wasn't the fault of Labella's Boutique! If I have a formal event in future I'll be back!
I bought a dress at Labella bridal and was very frustrated by the whole process. The salesperson did not tell us the truth about the fabric until after we had already bought it. Then when we brought up our concerns she did her best to remedy the situation but would not allow us to return the dress. Buyer beware. Make sure you are 100% happy with your decision before you buy. They are not flexible at all.
I went to 3 different bridal shops in or near Manassas, VA when looking for my wedding dress. Labella was the only consignment/sample dress boutique I went to. While I had good experiences at all of the shops, Ellalyne, the owner of Labella, was amazing. I had called ahead for an appointment and when my maid of honor and I showed up, the wedding dress section had been roped off for us and she encouraged us to "consider this our closet". We all picked out dresses for me to try. There was an amazing selection of dresses in all sorts of styles and almost all within my budget of $1500 or under. I ended up finding the perfect dress. It was an old sample dress (never worn) and about 10 sizes too big for me. I was a little worried about that, but Ellalyne assured me that it could be tailored to fit me. The tailor that she uses did an amazing job. I was able to have all of my fittings in the store (they are open for alterations appointments before the shop officially opens). Everyone who saw the dress in the beginning was amazed at how well it fit on my wedding day! Because this is a consignment and sample dress boutique, there was a little room for negotiation. I was able to get 10% off the price of my dress and a complimentary veil. That saved me a lot of money and I was able to use that savings to buy an absolutely beautiful belt that matched the dress. Ellalyne does a great job of making every bride-to-be feel like the most important person in the store. I would highly recommend a trip to Occoquan to visit Labella Bridal.
Great selection and reasonable prices. Ellalaine is very attentive but not terribly pushy (yet to meet a consultant who is not pushy at all). I also had sleeves added to my dress and the seamstress did a wonderful job of matching the fabric and beadwork, so the final product was elegant! Also bought veil and various other items here.
I walked into this little store, just to look, fully expecting every dress in there to be out of my price range, afterall, it's a boutique! The lady (I forget her name) is amazing. She picked out several dresses. I was unsure she understood what I wanted or knew my style, because I wasn't crazy about the dresses she was picking out. I picked out a few I liked too. I hated everything I chose, when I tried them on. What she chose definately looked better on, than on the hanger. And then I found THE dress. She is a saleswomen, no doubt, but she was fun. She fixed my hair, put on a veil, and gave me flowers to hold, so I could really get a feel for what the dress would look like. It worked. I knew I would regret walking out of that store without that dress. I got a second hand Casablanca dress (originally $1200) for half that much. The dress looked brand new. My ownly lessons learned is that the dress was a few sizes too big, and I should have considered how the top would look, being several cup sizes too big. When I had the dress sized to fit, it looked awesome, and I still loved it, but the top did gape open a little. I don't think many people noticed it like I did. I still don't regret buying the dress, though, I just wish she had worned me of that. I have recommended this store to all of my engaged friends!
After visiting three other bridal salons, we found La Bella Bridal Boutique in Occoquan, VA. Even though we live in Maryland, it was definitely worth the trip! When we made our appointment, Ellalyne asked us about our preferences and sizes, so she could have some items picked out for us before we even arrived. Our requirements were tough. I'm a plus size. I was 56 on our wedding day, and NotFroofy was 41, so dresses designed for people in their 20s don't work for us. Because there were two brides, we needed outfits that would complement each other. NotFroofy is 5'1", and I'm 5'9", so identical gowns were not going to happen for us. Our budget was low: no more than $500 per dress.
When we arrived, we were the only people in the store, and Ellalyne gave us her full attention. She listened carefully to our preferences, and had an eye for what would look good on us, so we weren't trying on a bunch of impossible gowns. LaBella has consignment gowns as well as new ones, which helped keep the price down. (And she didn't try to push us toward more expensive ones than we could afford.) Throughout the visit, she was warm and gracious. While it was clear that working with a lesbian couple was a new experience for her, she was clearly accepting of us. And unlike some salons, she worked to find something that would look good with our figures, instead of suggesting that we were the "wrong" size or shape.
Both of us found "the dress" there. In each case, it was a dress that we never would have given a second glance to on the rack. However, Ellalyne picked it out, and it turned out to be perfect, with clean, elegant lines that covered our problem figure areas and enhanced our good areas.
Excellent Service
Labella Bridal & Consignment Boutique is a beautiful little shop in Occoquan, Virginia. Service is fantastic! The women are excited, honest and very patient. I visited them three times before finding the perfect dress. It was a great way to save money and purchasing a gently used or floor model dress helped me stay “green” for the ceremony. Defiantly recommend them for your dress and accessories!
i was able to find a brand new dress, on conisgnment that was worth over 6 thousand dollars, and i paid only a little over one thousand! it was still a brand new dress, never worn. they store offers a fairly large variety of dresses that are brand new, and if you are not against it, has some dresses that are previously owned.
