If you are looking for any (and I mean ANY!) wedding help, from "Hey! We're eloping spur of the moment, do you know a cool spot by Lake Superior?" to "OMG WE HAVE 300 GUESTS PLEASE JUST DO EVERYTHING FOR ME AND MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A PINTEREST WED...DING BOARD," Emily and the team at Lace & Brass Events have your back.
I was in a long-distance engagement, which meant my time was split between MA and WI. I knew planning a wedding (second marriage for us both, six kids in our blended family, a third of the guests all kids themselves) would have been hard if I was in WI full-time, and with the MA half of the equation, help was a necessity. But I didn't know what to expect from a wedding coordinator (my now-husband feared a loud, intrusive person with a megaphone and a clipboard).
Enter Emily, the most down-to-earth, serene, grounded, thoughtful soul you may ever meet in the wedding business. And the thing is? It's not just "business" for Emily — besides her family, weddings are her passion and true love. She will work with you no matter WHAT your budget, no matter what you have in mind (sailboat elopement, anyone?), and she is more than happy to tailor her services to only what you need. So if you're a slightly DIY kind of person, no problem! Emily will let you DIY to your heart's content, then do the rest.
She also has massive connections with all the vendors in the area (and great relationships with them all!) and if she doesn't know something, she's the quickest with "let me figure that out and get back to you ASAP!" Somehow, she worked with this very confused, very overwhelmed second-time-is-the-charm bride (and even won over the skeptical groom) to create a day that was...yes, dang it, I admit it: Pinterest-board worthy. When I said I had a country-picnic-but-kind-of-nautical-backyard-BBQ-but-elevated vibe in my mind, she somehow managed not to crack up in my face...and instead, worked tirelessly to figure out how to make that happen. AMAZING!
The day of the wedding was utterly stress-free. There was a bouncy house for the kids, Emily's idea, and what a blast! Emily floated around like a magic fairy godmother in the background, keeping an eye on timeline and making sure everything was the laid-back, love-drenched hilarious kid-friendly blast we hoped for. She is an ultimate professional who loves her job and her clients — you can trust her with your most anxiety-provoking details and whims. She's got you!
Don't hesitate if budget is a concern — she will help you research or organize your wedding wherever you get stuck. It's not a one-size-fits-all deal. We dealt with the ceremony to keep costs down, and she was waiting for us at the reception with tunes and food and drink waiting. She also did our flowers (gorgeous wildflowers from a local farm that she arranged beautifully!) and sewed us a bright pretty cotton flag bunting to hang in tent to fit the picnic vibe.
You don't have to do this alone. Trust me! Hire Emily and the Lace & Brass team and know you are in great hands. Cheers!
