ice). Handed me off to someone else 2 weeks before my wedding.... If you choose to go forward make sure your contract has outs for you! If they are not responsive, if you've found that they lied or misrepresented, if they don't have backup providers if someone is unable to show up or to perform up to your standards (my photographer was sick and performed as such), make sure you can get out of your contract.

onduct your ceremony on the date you pick. My wife and I gave them a 4 month heads up when I came down on orders to go to training during the time of the ceremony, and they refused to give us a refund of just under $6,000, which is A LOT to just take from us. I asked them if they could show us receipts of actually using the almost $6k we had given them to that point, and they said no. They said in an email, "Having been in the wedding business for 21 years, we have had many reasons for cancellations such as family illness, military deployment and break ups and we have to be firm about this policy." Yes, you read that right. Even if I had been deployed, they would have told me that I was out of luck. A military obligation to defend the country wouldn't separate these people from their money that they made FOR DOING NOTHING, no matter how far out they are informed. Our next steps are to go to small claims court and we're even talking to the local news. Maybe we can keep them from doing this to another military family in the future.

I mostly worked with Lindsey via email and phone with getting everything setup. She was very prompt and helpful in picking a package within our budget. Picking Lake Front Wedding and Events was the best decision we made as it kept all the wedding week stress off of us so we didn't have to coordinate any of the vendors, or find them ourselves.
We ended up going with the package on the Heavenly Mountain taking the Gondola up. The venue and the view were absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The food was amazing, and Lindsey made the day so much easier. The photographer was amazing and asked both mothers what kind of pictures they wanted to see/have. The day couldn't have been anymore perfect than it was.
They were perfect and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to get married in South Lake Tahoe.

with. Everyone that attended our wedding just raved about the event and said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. The catering (food, drinks, & service) was excellent! The views were breath taking and a perfect backdrop for our wedding pictures. The vendors they used for the photography (Leslie Timmerman), florist (Thrans), cake (Don Cakes), and the minister (Dave Beronio) were all excellent. David simply did an outstanding job performing our ceremony, Leslie was a talented photographer, the flowers were stunning, and the cake looked/tasted divine! Everything was top notch and exceeded our expectations!! They all helped make our day memorable and perfect!

ose of the trip was to find a wedding venue, we decided to walk in. Right from the start, the girls at Lake Front were extremely helpful. They took us to see two venues, and when we fell in love with one, they started working on a quote and had it to us in less than two days. They coordinate pretty much everything for the wedding - they booked all the main vendors (music, photography, food, etc.) for us! The only big decision we had to make on our own was what to wear!
We worked with the staff for over a year planning our wedding, and they were always prompt at returning calls & emails. They put us in touch with our other vendors to make sure we got what we wanted. Whenever we wanted to do something new or changed our minds, they were very accommodating and worked with us to keep it within budget. We worked mostly with Stacy until she went on maternity leave, then we worked a lot with Keely and Jana in the months leading up to the wedding. Keely was the coordinator at our wedding, and she was so attentive and helpful. I don't know what we would've done without all the help! They all made the whole planning process so much easier.
The only issue I had was with their emails: they only had a couple email addresses that multiple people used, so it made it confusing when someone didn't include a signature at the end of an email. Whenever that happened, I wasn't 100% sure who had responded. Other than that, working with Lake Front Weddings was so easy! Having them as our wedding planners was the best wedding planning decision we made!

ful. Our main coordinator was Stacey Umana-she is AMAZING!! Not only did she recommend the perfect venue and vendors, but she had solutions and great suggestions for all other wedding details. We were in contact via telephone or email from the moment we chose the venue, to the day of our wedding. She is super sweet, professional and has great taste. I can honestly say that I was stress free on my wedding day because I knew we were in good hands. Words cannot express how much we appreciate her and Lake Front Wedding & Events for making our wedding day beyond spectacular. I have already recommended them to friends who are planning a Lake Tahoe Wedding :)

very easy. If you are looking for easy and organized this is the place. They provide full services, so if you are looking to bring your own photographer, DJ, Bar, etc. you might want to look elsewhere. This was the only thing I didn't really like, BUT I was pleased all in all because their partners and the people they use are all reasonably priced and they do a great job! We had quite a large wedding for the venue 100+, and it worked but I would have to admit the site is much better suited for smaller more intimate event. Altogether we were very satisfied with how beautiful our wedding turned out to be and I would surely recommend the place to any bride and groom that are planning a lovely smaller wedding looking for a romantic getaway location.
