come the wildness of late-July weather to ensure we had an amazing day. When a mid-evening downpour was headed our way the team acted quickly to not only keep our guests dry but keep the party going. They took care of everything and we truly didn't have anything to worry about! From start to finish, from the staff to the property, we cannot recommend the Cottages more. Having guests arrive on Friday afternoon and have full access to the lake and the amenities set the tone for an incredible weekend that was a perfect mix of fun and relaxing! Our guests enjoyed a full weekend and many are already asking when we'll be hosting a reunion. Pontoosuc was the picture-perfect backdrop (in every sense) and our weekend at The Lake House Guest Cottages was a dream!

relax (even though I was often still a bit busy with things only I could do) knowing that all the details were covered by the event staff. Everyone we worked with were all were so pleasant and calm to be around, always nearby when we needed something. On Saturday night (really 2am Sunday) the place looked like a big party had happened there and as I walked through the tent on my way to bed I wondered how it would be ready for breakfast in just a little while. Even though I couldn’t quite imagine how it would be cleaned and ready, it was a delight to remember that I did not have to make that happen. And sure enough, the next morning the tent was beautiful again, with tables and the buffet oriented in a new direction, looking all spiffy and festive again. In the week before the wedding, when the forecast wasn’t looking good, it calmed me to know that Lakehouse staff know how to handle all that. And sure enough, because of their expertise and contingency plans, the weather was never a problem even though it was so changeable and moody and wet at times. So many of our guests also commented to us about how great the venue and staff were. The place felt magical and truly supported our wish for a full festive weekend of family and friends. It was bliss!

nd friends for a whole weekend and the setting was beautiful and perfect. We had a fun welcome dinner on Friday followed by ceremony and reception on Saturday and a casual brunch on Sunday. We rented the boat on Friday as well as Saturday morning and all the kiddos at our wedding at a fun experience going out on the water. The kayaks and paddle boards were also a hit and guests enjoyed going out on the water at their leisure when events weren't planned. We were also able to have about half of our guests stay on site which was so special! Nicole and Cory were very helpful when it came to setting up chairs/tables/dance floor, coordinating with vendors, setting up the tables and decor on the day of the wedding and keeping our wedding party in order to ensure our ceremony went to plan. Our friends and family had an amazing time and many told us it was the most fun wedding they'd been to! Everything was easy going, we had beautiful weather on the lake and we can't recommend this venue enough!

our Sunday farewell brunch. Nicole, the venue’s main coordinator, was so helpful and on the ball throughout the entire planning process. She was working behind the scenes all weekend to make sure everything went smoothly from start to finish with our incoming vendors for all of our events. She also worked closely with us to make our ceremony processional spectacular, making sure I walked down the aisle at the precise moment in the song that I envisioned. I really appreciated all of the attention to detail. Cory and Trina were the main points of contact with set up/clean up throughout the weekend, and they were a joy to work with as well. The venue is magical and beautiful, and there really isn’t anything you could be left wanting. Our guests loved the “cottages” - they are more like incredibly maintained and updated large houses. The on-site tent and dance floor were included in the pricing, as well as access to the venue for the whole weekend with the outdoor furniture/kitchens/lounge areas/tables and chairs/linens. The lake created the perfect backdrop for our wedding weekend. If you want magic, definitely book your wedding at the LHGC’s. We will be cherishing these memories forever.

d. Our guests, both staying on and offsite were in love with the entire property and were so sad to leave, as were we. All our guests can't stop talking about this venue. It is truly memorable. The property itself is incredible from the view to the details in all of the cottages. The staff was incredible during our weekend stay and made sure everything was in order throughout the wedding day. Our main wedding coordinator Kelsey was so easy, helpful, and professional to work with. She made the wedding planning process so enjoyable. The property care takers were super attentive and welcoming. They made sure our weekend stay was comfortable and were all so genuine and kind! The Lake House is truly a special place. We will definitely be back here in the future and we are pretty sure someone at our wedding will be looking to have an event here.

ute and have everything you need. It is right on Pontoosuc Lake with a perfect view of the lake and Berkshire mountains for outside weddings and great back up plan if the weather isn't good outside. Kelsey and the staff at the lake house are super helpful, organized, friendly and make the weekend stress free for the bride and groom! My guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing and perfect the venue was! Everything on the wedding day went perfect and even better then I could have imaged. I would highly recommend this venue!

lsey was amazing to work with. She was so helpful through every step of the planning process and was there all weekend to make sure everything went smoothly. She and the rest of The Lake House Guest Cottages of the Berkshires team were so helpful in making sure that the grounds were clean, everything was organized, and that everything went according plan. They're all so friendly and helpful! My husband and I cannot think of a single thing that went wrong or we would change about the weekend.

to mention, the venue is so gorgeous. You’ll feel like it’s a destination wedding. Your guests will be entertained by the many lake activities, from boats to floats and everything in between. The houses for the guests and couple are new, beautiful, and so so comfortable. I highly recommend any couple having their wedding here! They are extremely LGBTQ+ friendly and happy to host any and all couples/families.

ng scenic, perhaps lake front, but without a "cottage" or "flannel" feel. We also knew we didn't want a venue where we would be one of three pre-fabricated weddings that weekend. The Lake House had EVERYTHING we wanted. First, the venue is absolutely breathtaking. The lake with the mountains in the back made for the most incredible backdrop for our ceremony and photos -- paired with a colorful sunset, I mean.... it doesn't get better than that. All of our guests were in love and couldn't believe how we were able to find such a killer venue. Second, the property itself (homes, landscaping, etc.) is so new and modern. The homes are fully equipped with many amenities, the boat house is stocked with tons of water toys and spots (floats, kayaks, paddle boards, etc.). The tent that the Lake House puts up during the summer is super new and stylish (as far as tents go). And the property is always landscaped and well maintained -- flowers, string lights, outdoor seatings, turf or green grass. Everyone walked away from the weekend feeling like they had a mini weekend getaway/vacation! Third, the property's staff, Kelsey, the venue coordinator, and Cory, the property's groundskeeper, are honestly two of the most incredible, skilled and hard working people I have ever worked with (I use to be an event planner as well so I've come across my share of venue coordinators). They had every detail covered for the entire weekend. Not once did I have to worry about my wedding weekend being executed correctly to my plans. They were always four steps ahead. It truly made it all SO much more enjoyable. I very strongly recommend The Lake House - it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. I'm sure we will even be back to book weekend trips!

and had my wedding there. On-site coordinator: Kelsey is the event coordinator for the LHGC and she is AMAZING. She helped coordinate every detail and answered all my questions quickly and kindly. I must have emailed Kelsey a million times and she was always helpful, responsive, and warm. Not only did she assist with every step of planning the wedding, but she also worked the entire weekend too, helping with whatever we needed and ensuring the whole wedding went smoothly. For example, she did dishes during our welcome party, she basically ran the entire wedding by coordinating our many vendors, she set up our table decorations and place cards- I mean it when I say she did absolutely anything that needed to get done. I sincerely cannot recommend Kelsey enough. The venue: stunning. We held all of our events on site- our welcome party, wedding, and day after brunch. Each party felt unique and special because of the many locations you can use. Our guests could not stop commenting on what a beautiful venue we had found. We were also able to have our entire family stay on site, which meant fun breakfasts together, seeing kids playing on the lawn, family members from both sides jumping in the paddleboat or going for a hike. Our families really did join together because they were able to spend relaxed quality time together throughout the weekend. The caretaker: Cory is the on-site caretaker who lives there and helps out with everything. Just like Kelsey, he couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. From keeping the property looking beautiful to helping guests figure out the outdoor fire pits, Cory was always there to help. He and Kelsey are an amazing team and I feel like this review won't do them justice because they made our weekend perfect and I owe them so much for that. Liquor, catering, etc: Because this venue isn't a hotel or inn, you have to arrange your own liquor provider and catering, as well as wedding furniture and tableware. However, Kelsey gave us great recommendations of who to use and she also helped coordinate between all the vendors. For example, she worked with our liquor provider to arrange the drop off of supplies, she looked over our orders to ensure we had everything we needed, and she coordinate with the caterer so we didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day. It was definitely extra work, but it also gave us the chance to really make the wedding exactly what we wanted and personalize the experience. I can't sing their praises enough- this venue is really and truly a special place to get married. I will cherish the memories I have not just from our ceremony and reception, but also the smaller moments- our families cooking breakfast together, the impromptu whisky tasting on the patio, my mother arranging the flowers for our wedding, siblings and cousins playing life-size Jenga on the lawn, and people curling up with blankets next to the fire pits. Our wedding was about me and my husband (ah! husband!) committing to one another, but it was also about the joining of our families, and I feel that our families truly did become connected thanks to this venue and the amazing people who work there. Thank you, LHGC, for being everything I hoped for and more!!!

people and we knew we wanted it to be drivable for both family and friends in upstate New York and Boston.   We stumbled upon The Lake House Guest Cottages of the Berkshires after months of searching, but the only wedding we had seen hosted there was inside the main cottage. Reluctantly, we decided it was probably too small for us.   Fast forward another month.  Randomly one night, my wife and I both separately pulled up the venue again and I said, “We need to just call them. Maybe they have some grass we can put a tent on.” After a couple of email exchanges, Eric, the owner, and Cory, the grounds keeper, invited us out to see the space and were instantly sold. The beautiful grounds, the stunning cottages (or as we like to call them, "mini mansions"), THE VIEW.   Not only did they have four cottages on site where guests could stay, but they also had a field where they had placed a tent for previous weddings that could hold up to 150 guests. We soon found out that over the winter months they would be adding three additional cottages for guests to stay and a seasonal tent to be used for weddings throughout the summer and fall. Needless to say, we booked it.   A couple months into planning, LHGC added a wedding coordinator to their awesome team.  We connected with Kelsey instantly, discussing plans we had made and things we had coming down the line. She was always available if we had a question or concern. Come time to do our walk through before the wedding, we laid out the entire day with the help of Kelsey and our caterer.  We walked away knowing we had the dream team on board.   When our weekend approached, all the new additions were complete and the space was more beautiful than ever. We had our rehearsal brunch Friday morning and welcome party Friday night, both of which allowed for the caterers to take full advantage of the catering kitchen in the main cottage. Kelsey and Cory were completely accommodating and there from start to finish to help with anything we needed.   Our guests arrived sporadically from Friday morning through the evening and spent time playing lawn games, kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake, and enjoying each other's company.  It was so nice to have the entire grounds at our disposal.   On our wedding day, it was just the same. Everything went off seamlessly. Kelsey and Cory were both there if something came up, made sure that set up was perfect, ran the ceremony and reception smoothly and effortlessly.   Our wedding was perfect.
