Lakeland Manor

I recently had my wedding here, and I can tell you Lakeland Manor is absolutely beautiful. The service, and ambiance here is perfect, and I'm so glad Dominique oversaw every detail of my reception. It doesn't have your typical hall food either. Their food is flavorful, and made with care. My menu was spinach pies, tobasco shrimp, coconut shrimp, an assortment of mini quiche, chicken and beef satay, and lamb chops. Everything was so good. Everybody raved about the Tabasco shrimp, and the flavors of the chefs sauce. Not to mention the lamb chops were tender and juicy. I can't wait to attend another function here, just to have some more of their food.

I could not be more impressed with Lakeland Manor. This venue is the most affordable venue my fiance and I found, and we were so impressed with everything it came with!! An appetizer, 2-meat buffet, standard bar, dessert table, and a late-night snack. The food is AMAZING. My guests could not stop raving about the quality and taste of the food. I was extremely impressed with the service of the staff. Our dinner was prepared and brought to us. The staff happily prepared other dinners to our guests who had food allergies. I would 100% book with Lakeland Manor if I had to do it all over again. Nikki and Shawn were so easy and delightful to work with!

We wanted a winter wonderland wedding, and We sure got it!! Our Wedding was February 2, 2018 we planned our entire wedding with Nicole who in Our opinion is hands down the most passionate, and knowledgeable when it comes to the Event planning! Her years of experience is what makes her fabulous and brace yourself her sense of humor is hilarious, her Friendly and attentive staff, and connections really made our wedding amazing. Whenever we asked her about specialty linens, wedding ideas, specifics on how to do things, and even places to take pictures, she always had an answer for us. Lakeland Manor included Valet Parking for our guest which really ended up being so wonderful for our elderly guests. What meant so much to us was Nicole not only booked our wedding and helped coordinate everything she was there to see our entire night through, that personal touch really showed us her passion and dedication. We have tried the entire menu, and everything was amazing. We had such a hard time deciding what we wanted because of this. However we ended up going with Chicken Piccata, Beef Tenderloin, Bow Tie Alfredo, Vegetable Medley, and Scallop Potatoes. It was phenomenal and my guests couldn't stop raving about the food. Her staff was perfect at our event. They were meticulously clean, uniforms perfect, and provided white glove service. Our guests raved about their attentive service, and polite demeanor. We wish we could give you 10 stars and tell every person that is getting married to contact Lakeland Manor.

My baby shower was absolutely beautiful! They had beautiful soft blue downlighting, silk silvery white table cloths for my head table, and beautiful decorative chair covers. It was so nice to walk into the hall and see my room set up perfectly, and Shawn immediately greeted me to see if I needed any help with bringing in my decorations. As my guests arrived they went crazy over the Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar. They staff the bar with a server for the whole shower. It's such a nice touch! My shower choices were Roast Beef, Chicken Piccata, green beans, Roasted Redskin potatoes, Penne Bolognese, hot rolls with butter, and a chef's fresh salad. Everything was tender, flavourful, and amazing! Lakeland Manor really made my shower better than I could've ever imagined it. I can't wait to have my wedding here!

My upcoming date is December 15th, 2018, and I'm already blown away by how amazing the staff is. My partner Danny, and I, were greeted by Nicole and Shawn offered Something to drink and while looking at this incredibly meticulous totally private one room venue that allows you to have the most intimate setting were you are the only Wedding . We felt so welcome,. She is by far the most knowledgeable person I have met when it comes to catering, and weddings. We talked about our vision for our special day, with Shawn and he just blew us away with his ideas and his true passion for what he does. When sitting with Nicole who can I tell you is a Fierce business women with a wealth of knowledge and a portfolio to back it up!!! Nicole put our vision on paper and made it come to life. Brides please don't be fooled by so may imitators that are posing as Coordinators this place does it all and they are phenomenal. We just had our food tasting and oh my it was Fabulous no joke it was a 5 star all the way. Chef Paul customized our entire menu from the appetizers upon arrival to our midnight snack and was able to keep it within our budget. We cannot Thank Nicole and Shawn enough for making this entire process so easy and with such pleasure.

I would avoid this place if I were you! I originally was supposed to have my daughter's wedding in 2015 at this venue. Due to unfortunate circumstances, they were unable to have their wedding as planned. The owner at the time gave me a $5,000 credit towards a future event at the venue. Fast forward a couple years . . . I contacted the facility to possibly schedule an event to use the credit that was given to me. I was made aware that the facility was under new ownership. Shawn was extremely nice and suggested that I schedule an appointment to discuss everything. I made the appointment with Nicole. Upon arriving to the appointment, Nicole was not even at the facility and Shawn was never even made aware of the appointment. Shawn stated that he could take down some notes to pass along regarding the event, but because Nicole was the one dealing with this issue there wasn't really anything else he could do. The appointment was a complete waste of my time. It would have been nice to know if something came up, prior to my appointment, if Nicole could not have made it to our scheduled appointment. After all of this, there was some disagreements about the contract. My daughter and her ex are the one's who signed the contract since previous owner's wanted the bride and groom's information, but I made (and was paying) all of the payments towards the venue's costs. During conversations regarding this credit, Nicole was rude and not accommodating. I believe she even hung up on my daughter at one point during a conversation. It was ultimately decided that the only way the credit would be honored is if my daughter's ex would come in and sign off. Obviously, he would not do this . . . Why would he? There was nothing for him to gain/lose. Very disheartening experience.

I recently just went into Lakeland Manor to book my wedding reception for the Summer of 2017 and right when I walked in I was offered coffee or water from Nicole. She was so sweet and pleasant that I had no issues with anything. She answered all my questions that needed to be answered and then some. Nicole had a chance to show me around the banquet hall and everything was so well put together that I didn't have one complaint about anything. I'm very excited to say at the end of the tour and meeting I booked my wedding successfully and I couldn't be anymore excited. A bonus with this as well is that it's a one room catering hall so they will always be focused on my soon to be husband and I along with all our guest and I couldn't be any happier than I am right now about my decision.

On December 10 I had the privilege of getting married at Lakeland Manor. Jimmy and Nicole were the most down to earth people I know, they didn't have a huge ego and they did everything we asked for. From right when we walked into Lakeland Manor I just felt this warm cozy atmosphere like no other. We felt as if we were family to Nicole and Jimmy. Since our wedding people are still raving how amazing it was and how supered the food was. I had no complaints from my family or friends and I will continue going to Lakeland Manor for my future events. If you're looking for a private intimate setting were the staff and management cater only to you this is the place.

It started with getting dragged to halls every weekend for the past 5 months from thinking of an outside wedding venue to a barn wedding to finally this weekend walking into Lakeland Manor and finally it all comes together!!!! We met with Nicole and Chef Paul they are so confident in the food we did a tasting on the spot, the food was really delicious. The actual banquet room is really nice (very clean). This hall is one room which I didn't realize is a hard find. We booked Lakeland Manor for our 2017 Wedding and we could not be happier. We can positively say the food and management is the best out of all the halls that we have been to in the past 5 months.

A very affordable and accommodating hall! It's beautiful on the inside, it provides privacy of being a 1 hall venue so you'll know everyone walking around which was very important to my husband and I. My guests are still raving about the food!! If you're debating, check this space out! You'll have all the options of decor/lighting either DIY, like we did, or with their vendor list. You won't be disappointed!

They just redid the entire inside. I wanted privacy and they only have one huge room, so that is exactly what I got -- privacy. Craig is the best around, will work with you on anything. Yes it's not the MOST expensive around (but looks like you paid millions) we really chose it for the food. It's to die for. Couldn't of asked for a better place!!

This place is wonderful! From the time you walk in the door they treat you like family. This is a family run business that give you 5 star treatment. Craig and Jimmy (uncle Jimmy as I like to call him) made the entire process so simple for me. They're ALWAYS there, and always available to answer questions. The food...AMAZING! seriously. Honestly the best baked chicken I've ever had in my life! Everything is made in house, and you can taste the difference (all food, desserts...everything) The venue itself is absolutely beautiful...from the waterfalls, to the dance floor...even the restrooms! this is my new official go-to for all of my banquet needs. period.

I love love love this hall! This was the first and only hall my husband and I looked at for our wedding day. Craig just went out of his way to make sure that I was happy with everything and I felt that he gave us a very reasonable price. The food was to die for and the staff was very attentive and pleasant. The hall is beautiful and they just made the dance floor bigger. My husband and I loved the fact that it is a one room hall, so our event was the only event going on there. This made us feel even more special that day!

Kelly and her team at Lakeland Banquet and Events Centre in St. Clair Shores truly go above and beyond to ensure the happiness of their guests. We held our wedding in January 2013 and the hall looked absolutely perfect! Every need was met throughout the wedding ceremony & reception and the staff was so accommodating. The food and atmosphere was a 10! Pricing was generously reasonable and we are grateful to Lakeland Banquet for providing a beautiful venue to enjoy our special day.

Food is AMAZING we got nothing but compliments from everyone who attended the wedding. The atmosphere and decoration is very modern-not like most halls where the carpet is ugly and outdated looking. The attentiveness and courtesy of the staff is unlike anything I have ever seen before. Craig and his staff go out of their way to make sure the bride is completely happy with everything. The price is right, especially for the quality of food. We will be using their establishment for any major occasions in the future.

Lakeland Manor was amazing to work with! They answered all my questions without hesetaion and returning my dozens of phone calls in a timely fashion! OUr ceremony was held here as well and the guests didn't even notice the transition from one to the other! The food was remarkable and all of my guests were sure to say so! I would highley recommend them for anyone looking to have a wedding on the eastside.

From the time of my first unscheduled, drop in to Lakeland Banquet Center, I was given excellent service. All staff is very courteous and helpful, and we're willing to accommodate me on anything I needed. Planning my wedding from out of town, this was exactly what I needed. There was never a problem with a last minute tasting, or impromptu visit to the hall with any questions. The day of, everything was gorgeous, from the set up of the room to the presentation of the food. The food is hands down best food I have ever had at a banquet hall, and the front of house staff was exceptional. At one point, one of the wait staff even carried a request for me to the dj so that I would not have to get up from my dinner. I would reccomend Lakeland to anyone who asks without hesitation.

Craig and his whole team were wonderful! They took our dream wedding and helped make it come true! I could honestly write a novel on how well they treated us and all the amazing things they did to make our day special. Craig truly made us feel special from day one to the very end. I look forward to attending other events at Lakeland Manor and to one day soon have my baby shower there! The food was above all expectations, we still have people coming up to us to talk about how amazing the food was and what a beautiful venue. Their catering was phenomenal, and I would hands-down recommend them for any and every event! To top all of this off, they really care about their guest and work with budgets! I cannot thank them enough!

I had my wedding at Lakeland Manor on November 4, 2011 and it was beyond amazing. From the food to the service, everything was excellent. Thank you Craig!

My husband and I had a great experience with this hall. Kelly Engel (Catering Director) is very friendly and easy to work with. She responded very quick to all our emails/messages. We ran into a few last minute wedding issues and Kelly was kind enough to help us sort them out and make sure everything was perfect, even though it wasn't related to her services at the hall. The hall was set up beautifully and the food was amazing. The bar staff and wait staff were very friendly and prompt. My husband and I were more than satisfied with Lakeland Banquet & Event Centre and highly recommend them to anyone.

Kelly and Robert at Lakeland were very helpful. They provided me with so much for the money. Everyone that attended the reception expressed how much they enjoyed the staff and the food. Thanks Lakeland for making my day fabulous!!

I cannot begin to say how happy I have been so far with this venu. I havent even gotten married yet and they have been wonderful. Kelly took her time with us and provided so much useful info. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. The venu is beautiful, clean and well run. I cannot wait until our reception to update this review with even more awesomeness! thanks Kelly for helping us make what I thought would be a hard decision so easy!

Amazing service! Wonderful food. Absolutely made our wedding

I was a little nervous at first since they were just beginning to cater at the Birmingham Community House. However, I am thrilled I went with them. My guests said how wonderful the service was. Everybody said it was the best wedding food they ever had. They listened to all our special requests. Kelly and Robert were wonderful to work with them.

Craig was nothing but great in helping us with everything. He went above and beyond for us. The food is AMAZING (we have over 200 guests to agree with me on this). The staff was wonderful and did everything to make sure the night went smoothly. Wonderful location for a wedding or any larger gathering!

Great Food and price!

Our Wedding was great and we loved that it was one hall and we were the only event there! Everyone enjoyed the food adn especially the dessert table! Couldn't have asked for better!

We had a tropical wedding and they had a Tiki bar and frozen cocktails. It really helped everyone get in the mood.;They were the best!
