cently renovated Reflections on the Lake room and everyone thought it was beautiful! The dusty blue walls, crystal chandelier, and gold accents perfectly complemented our color scheme and the beautiful view of Cheat Lake in the winter. (And in the summer, from what we could tell when we toured!) We did a seated Romantic dinner. The food was delicious, though it could've been a bit warmer. Regardless, the culinary team at Lakeview was fantastic about accommodating our guests’ dietary restrictions! Some of our guests had celiac, diabetes, or both. They ensured that these guests would not only be able to safely enjoy dinner, but also, upon our request, acquired GF, NSA sorbets so they could enjoy a safe dessert too! The kitchen even cut and serve a dessert we brought in for one of our guests in the specific way we asked! Lakeview was overall very easy to work with. At only one point we experienced a lapse in communication (the wedding sales coordinator Savannah was laid off, and our new point of contact became the manager), but I don’t believe that would occur for another couple booking now. A few more points of interest: Lakeview did a great job cutting and serving our cake! Once we cut it, Josh carefully carried it back to the kitchen. He seems very experienced and, again, was careful, but we might have felt more comfortable putting the cake on a cart instead of a table. They were great about remembering to set aside the top tier of our cake! One can tell they put a lot of care into boxing it up. For this, we’re very thankful. We had some leftover cake at the end of the night that we meant to pick up on Monday (Lakeview is closed on Sundays) when we came to clean up our decorations, but it unfortunately had been tossed. We just wish that they had put it in the fridge instead. We used our own napkins, and the staff was great about this! They not only pressed and folded them in the way we asked, but they also laundered them for us after our reception! They have a speaker and microphone available for events. Both were great and very intuitive to switch between AUX and Bluetooth. The speaker is definitely loud enough for the entire Reflections room. They let us do a large cookie table display at no charge for the tables! This is a very meaningful tradition from where my husband and I are from, so we were very happy that they allowed our family/friends to bring all that they'd baked and were so accommodating. Lakeview has very beautiful gold-beaded glass chargers for events. The dinner plates spin and slide around on these chargers, but we were able to completely solve this problem by cutting out 8.5” circles out of shelf liner and placing these between the charger and the plate. Finally, they began renovations on their hotel while we were planning our wedding. Each contract comes with a block of 10 rooms and an additional complementary room for the groom and bride. Given that the hotel wasn't available on our date, the manager upgraded our block and complementary room to the condos Lakeview has on site. Our block had 10 condos and our own. They let us use our condo to get ready the morning of, and kept the rate for the other condos the same as it would be for the hotel rooms! In total, we would absolutely recommend choosing Lakeview for a wedding reception.

this has to be postponed and eventually canceled. I tried to work with the events team and the manager to figure out how to proceed, but I kept getting switched to different people and then our calls were not answered at all. The contract promised a refund as they were not able to hold our event, and the manager confirmed this, but to this day I have not received any money back. I had to get a lawyer involved and have an order from the judge for us to be refunded, but have still not gotten any money 3 years later. This venue stole thousands of dollars from us without a care and have proceeded to dodge our attempts to reach them ever since. They apparently don't mind stealing from couples trying to celebrate what is supposed to be the best day of their lives. I Repeat: Do Not Have Your Event Here!

k for them to bring us a cutlery set for our cake. They almost started to cut the top of our cake when we wanted it reserved. One of our guests had to find the box and put it in the fridge at the front desk. I was told all of our decorations would be packed up in totes that we had brought them in and to pick them up the following week. Nothing was packed up. The night of the wedding my husband and I were supposed to have a suite to stay in but it wasn’t cleaned so they ended up taking us in a golf cart to a condo (which was nice but how do you not have a clean room for the couple)??? The next day we noticed that there were still things from the ceremony outside. We asked the front desk who was supposed to clean it up and she was clueless and told us we could take a golfcart down and get it ourselves. Luckily, it didn’t rain that night or literally ALL of our ceremony decorations (including a cord of three strands we tied) would have been ruined. Everything was still setup as it had been the day before down there. And to top it all off, several of our centerpieces and decor from the reception is missing. Two of which were from our head table and sweetheart table which we would have kept. I’m assuming they were stolen. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
