About this vendor
"It stands as a diminutive, Gothic looking structure on a hillside surrounded by a vineyard." The winery is constructed from hand cut stones gathered from various parts of West Virginia. Some weighing as much as 3,000 pounds. The doors are designed of solid two by fours on edge, with a rounded top. A comfortably furnished tasting room welcomes visitors as they enter. A 3-inch thick bar top, cut in the 1950's in Canada, is set up in one corner. Behind the bar, a mantle and mirror top the sink. Also in the tasting room is a raised television in the corner opposite the bar. A fireplace is surrounded by three rocking chairs and shelves containing West Virginia pottery that is for sale. Behind the tasting room is a racking room, storage area, and a cooling room.

I had the pleasure of having my wedding here and it was the best decision ever. The winery itself is stunning, but I love how they took care of everything for me. Christina is the coordinator and an absolute rockstar. She handles everything and has so much experience to help with any question/ problem with wedding planning that may arise. There is no way we could've survived the wedding day without her. The food for the rehearsal and reception were exceptional and all of the guests raved about it! They decorate and setup everything for you, you just drop off whatever decor you want. I was able to use a lot of what they already had for the cake table and centerpieces. The best part, they clean everything up after the wedding. I could not recommend this venue enough!!! And, they're wine is so good. I am always fully stocked with their wine at all times, it's my favorite! I highly recommend whether you're looking for a wedding venue, date night, or causal wine tasting!
We had our rehearsal, ceremony and reception here! Christina and the Lambert family went above and beyond to make sure our day was so special. We did the brick oven build your own pizza and salad for the rehearsal dinner and the chicken and beef entrees for the reception dinner. Both so delicious! Not to mention the wine and sangria were also tasty. The landscape lends itself for beautiful pictures. Christina made sure I truly felt like a bride on the big day and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Make sure to also check out their couple's cabin! My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights after our wedding and it was truly relaxing and peaceful. JB made sure we had everything we needed and more. The day was absolutely perfect!
Lambert's went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. We had the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception there. The staff was so kind, friendly, and encouraging throughout the entire process. They were fantastic to work with every step of the way. he food was delicious. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality you receive. We highly recommend them.
Horrible customer service. If I could give less than a star I would. I tried to work with the owners son for weeks to reserve a tent rental for my wedding. Although he had great customer service in the beginning, it quickly turned horrible once pen had to be put to paper. I asked for an invoice/ any contracts that we would have to sign so we could review them. He said "we are more of a handshake company" ok... but when thousands of dollars are involved I kind of need to see some writing. They are way in over their head trying to run 3 businesses. I called multiple times throughout the days, emailed, basically did all I could to pay this man thousands of dollars to reserve a tent and he kept blowing me off with excuses ex: We had to let our secretary go, I am working on my taxes, we have a big group of wine tasters in right now, internet was out etc. etc. It really is a laugh. Here I am trying to throw you money and you can't even so much as send me an invoice?! When I finally called to tell him we had to make a decision today and can I have his word that he will take 5 minutes out of his day to send me an email with the updated pricing... and he said "You know what I am not really interested in working with you, you need to find another tent company" Which is honestly probably the best thing... if you can't even send an email on time then you probably would not have been able to construct a tent on time. Tread lightly with this company they obviously aren't professional.
We looked for a venue that was classy yet casual and Lambert's was beautiful. They were all so wonderfully helpful during the whole process of planning, to decorating, to boxing everything up afterwards. The food was delicious and although we planned extras, we had very little to take home.
I highly recommend the winery to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, unique place to get married. I am so happy with how everything turned out. The winery has such a special feel and the people there are so nice. They really went the extra mile to help us have a great wedding, especially Jimmy. Weeks later we are still getting compliments on our wedding and several people have told us it was the most fun they'd ever had.
