Lambertville Station Inn

e Riverside Ballroom (which has a capacity of 200) has a large dance floor and an excellent view of neighboring New Hope and the Delaware River. We held our ceremony at a dedicated space in the lower level of the ballroom (seating for ~150) and cocktail hour in an adjoining room to the side of the ceremony space. Over the course of the 14 months planning the wedding, Lambertville Station had some staff turnover, and we ultimately worked with Garrett, Tara, and Arie. Overall, we had a very positive experience and are really happy to have held our wedding at Lambertville Station. We were pleased with the variety of options for our menu, and the food was delicious. Many guests specifically raved about the seemingly endless options during the cocktail hour, as well as the high quality of the starters and entrees. Coordination with Garrett, Tara, Arie, and the rest of the team went smoothly. The team was attentive, thorough in their communication, and ensured that our big day proceeded in the way we had planned. Garrett answered all our detailed questions in advance of the wedding, and Tara was kind enough to show my parents around the venue and answer their questions. Arie, our day-of coordinator, was particularly organized and easy to work with. We took Lambertville Station’s recommendations for hiring our florist and photographer and were ultimately thrilled with our choices. The team adeptly handled communications with our vendors, particularly surrounding set up and take-down. Sobe, our bridal attendant, ensured we were fed, bustled the bridal train, and led us through the major day-of steps. The bridal suite (which was included in our contract for the wedding day), was incredibly spacious and well-maintained, and provided a similar view as the Ballroom downstairs. Our biggest challenge was that, as it was unfortunately a high of 15 degrees for our January wedding day, the temperature in the ceremony and cocktail hour spaces was very cold, as the heaters were unable to adequately warm the areas before the guests arrived. We had no such issues with the reception space upstairs. Besides this hiccup, we had an incredible wedding and would definitely recommend.

confident going into the wedding weekend. We had just under 200 guests and made detailed arrangements for getting ready, including use of the boardroom, the bridal suite, and a suite next door to the bridal suite for hair and makeup. This plan was confirmed both at our tasting and again the week before the wedding. Unfortunately, when we arrived the day before the wedding, my suite had been moved to a room far from the bridal suite, forcing us to scramble and rework all hair and makeup plans at the last minute. During our tasting, we were told that Neil had retired and that Garrett would be our new point of contact on the wedding day. We coordinated everything with him and were assured he would be with us throughout the event. However, he disappeared sometime during cocktail hour, and from that point forward, several issues occurred. Some examples: The ceremony flowers that were supposed to be moved to the sweetheart table were never relocated. The bud vases hanging from ceremony chairs were not moved to the cocktail tables as planned. One guest never received his dinner despite multiple requests from his table. We didn’t learn this until days later. The cocktail-hour bar did not offer many of the same cocktail options available at the main bar. The sound system was not wired correctly, so speeches and announcements were only heard on one side of the room. We paid for a second bar, but it did not have a corkscrew (so no wine) and did not stock the special scotch we paid for—only the main bar did. Transportation was mishandled. We had two shuttle buses running all night from another hotel, but valets incorrectly told guests the buses had stopped, which caused major confusion. This resulted in me missing the end of the wedding and the groom missing much of the after-party. We were also not told that pickup would be at the hotel entrance rather than the venue entrance. Staffing overall felt insufficient for a wedding of our size. The after-party was not worth the cost: bright overhead lights stayed on the entire time, food was removed early, and again the bar was not fully stocked despite our paying for a full open bar. While the venue itself is beautiful and the food—both during cocktail hour and dinner—was excellent, the execution on the actual wedding day did not match what was promised. We were told we would have a dedicated coordinator in Garrett, but that support simply wasn’t there. In summary: The setting is lovely and the food is excellent, but for a wedding of 200 guests, we experienced numerous avoidable issues. If you choose this venue, I would recommend keeping the guest count closer to 100 and hiring an independent wedding coordinator to ensure the day runs smoothly.

n, Garrett and Kathy and they initially seemed great but the day of execution was awful. Capacity: We were told the venue could comfortably hold 200 guests, but even with about 170, the space felt overcrowded and not as represented. Floral setup: The venue promised to handle floral transitions throughout the day, but arrangements were left unattended. Bride multiple times informed staff to deaf ears. Guest book: Our guest book was never displayed. Transportation: Shuttle service was extremely disorganized. We and our guests were not informed that pickup would occur in front of the hotel rather than near the ballroom. Guests had to walk through a dark parking lot with no signage, and valet staff falsely reported that no buses were running, causing panic and stress for our families. We were referred the shuttle company by Lambertville. I missed most of the afterparty dealing with the fallout. Mother of bride missed end of reception dealing with it also. Audio: The DJ, referred by the venue, was responsible for speech audio, which was very poor. We were not notified of any issues during the event and did not notice as the speakers stood by the sweetheart table. The bride had to personally intervene to get the microphones fixed after multiple guests complained. Ceremony seating: Several bridal party members were left without reserved chairs because guests mistakenly sat in them, causing a “musical chairs” situation moments before the bride’s entrance. Gift box: Despite providing a larger gift box, the venue placed their smaller box out, which filled quickly and caused confusion among guests. Bridal suite coordination: The parents of the bride requested a suite near the bridal suite for hair and makeup. The room assignment was changed without notice shortly before the wedding, forcing us to find a last-minute alternative and adding unnecessary stress. Bar service: The second bar, which we paid extra for, was missing premium purchased liquor we had confirmed multiple times would be there, it was also lacking wine openers. Food: Several guests did not receive their reception meals even after complaining multiple times to the staff. For reference it ranged between $250-$300 per plate. Bride/groom and family were not informed of this until a few weeks after the wedding. Afterparty: Complete waste of money. B staff bartenders. Staff removed food early (It's mandatory to get food and the event is only 1 hour). All lights on. No music. Cost 8k... Event coordination: Our on-site coordinator, Garrett, spent more time assisting waitstaff than managing the wedding. He also instructed the bride to enter the cocktail area at 5 p.m., not realizing it was also the guest welcome space, resulting in guests seeing the bride before her planned entrance. Overall, the event felt understaffed and poorly managed, with new staff introduced on the day without clear roles. Overall, the event was chaotic, disorganized, and stressful. Despite investing significant time, money, and trust, the experience fell far short of expectations. The venue did not respond to follow-up communication to resolve these issues. We cannot recommend Lambertville Station for weddings. Maybe if you have under 100 guests and hire outside staff but idk I wouldnt risk that on my wedding day...

p to our wedding, there was a significant shift in our experience that was extremely disappointing, resulting in multiple challenges and missteps by LSI that resulted in potential harm to our guests and memories lost forever. This feedback has been shared with Garrett, who took the lead on our wedding a few days after the event. Unfortunately I never received a response of any kind, and therefore feel this review is appropriate. Host of issues included a complete lack of communication without multiple follow-ups, NO communication the week of our wedding after daily outreach, which resulted in us having to drive to the venue unannounced 2 days before our wedding. At this meeting our final invoice was put together on the spot with us watching and we were told we had overpaid and “what do you want to do?” to close that gap. Really?
Our audio guestbook was simply never turned on, after being reassured how common these are. I found out about 3 hours into the reception when trying to leave a voicemail for my new husband. I later found out that minutes prior to the ceremony that Garrett was asking my partner and bridal party how to turn it on (it was a button on the bottom).
We had a guest with a serious shellfish allergy order receive shellfish with their dinner. Before the wedding, I emailed the allergy list twice, it was clearly on their place card, and was reassured personally in our final details meeting that this was very common.
We were told that the bridal attendant would start with us at 3:00PM, however we did not see them until 6:00PM.
We were told by Garrett that he would be there throughout the entire event, to support the brand new staff and Event Manager (which appeared to be everyone). I saw him at the start of the ceremony, and he was not seen by anyone after. Two ceremony arrangements were supposed to be moved to the reception space in front of the sweetheart table. They were not, until I said something. They were dragged in through the middle of the venue after our reception had started. Two days after our wedding, I received an email from Garrett. There was no congratulations, or asking how everything went. He was emailing that we owed $24 and they didn’t have a credit card on file. The credit card form was completed twice prior to the wedding. I’m very concerned about where my credit card information is. The fact that this feedback has been simply ignored is extremely disappointing. To not receive any response at all is extraordinarily unprofessional, and shows a severe lack of ownership and accountability.
