Beautiful selection and the alterations process was a breeze!
Nightmare! I purchased a gown from this store 6 months ago, it finally arrived 2 months before my wedding and came to find out that the dress looked different from the sample. It had more pleats than the original dress. It made my waist look like a square and was not what I agreed to get, the special moment was ruined my dress was ruined. I explained to them how upset I was about this, I requested a refund. They offered to make alterations to make look more similar to the original one but I was not going to pay for something that I did not order. They said that all sales are final no matter if it does not look like the dress you agreed to purchase. On the receipt they state that the designer has the right to change some aspects of the dress but I didn't think it was going to be such a big difference. I started looking for a new dress since this store took a long time to give me a solution and answer. Thank God I was able to find a dress somewhere else at the last minute. I regret so much ordering a dress from here I would not bring my family and friends here. The dress was very expensive but the quality is not compared to what I paid.
From the beginning the atmosphere is uncomfortable, I always felt like I didn’t belong there or like I didn’t have money to pay there. Funny because I went to much nicer bridal stores and never made me feel like that. This place doesn’t allow to take pictures of the gowns or even touch them! Not even the nicer bridal stores do this. At the first appointment, they give up an incentive 10% value of your dress, to use in the store but it felt like you end up paying for that incentive they just add it to the dress cost, and their prices are higher than other places, even if I wanted to use the incentive for accessories in the store you end up paying almost regular price because their prices are high. I went to a few bridal stores where the experience was much better. I highly recommend other stores like coastal knot bridal, Gilded bridal, Simply Blush, New York Bridal and groom, a&bé bridal shop, Vow's, one of the next experiences I had was White of Raleigh bridal boutique. Even David's Bridal was better than this place. I found my reception dress at Carolina Bridal World and they even ordered the dress according to my height I didn't have to worry about alterations. This was my experience. I had to pick up the dress otherwise they were going to charge me for storage. I lost more than 3,000 dollars. I hope this does not happen to a future bride. Good Luck.
I scheduled 2 appointments on the same day to try on wedding dresses. My first appointment was at Lana Addison and needless to say, I cancelled my second appointment! The girls at Lana Addison were wonderful. They helped me find my perfect dress in what seemed like just a few minutes. They made the whole process very fun and very easy.
CUTE LOCATION, BAD ALTERATIONS
The salon consultants measured me and strongly encouraged me to order a size up from my measurements despite me explaining that I was losing weight, have lost weight before, and the measurement driving the larger sizing was my hips – and the dress wasn’t even fitted in the hips.
Months later my dress finally arrived and at this point I had lost a good bit of weight. The first fitting was terrible, the alterations person looked totally panicked. Since the original dress was too small (they are NOT a size inclusive salon) I never actually tried it on and this dress did not match my body whatsoever. The bust was far from my body, it was extremely large, and way too long in every measurement. Tatiana took the dress apart, assured me she would fix it for a TON of money. It was a lot of money I already invested so I agreed. I REALLY wish at this point that someone would have stopped and try to find a sample dress that would work. This dress should NEVER have tried to be altered to fit me.
The second fitting was a mess. This is the worst part. Tatiana took in the dress totally incorrectly and it wasn’t falling right. The dress had become a column shape skirt when its very clearly supposed to be A-line (see photos on Pg. 3). Jamie was also present and also shared my observations. I expressed my concern verbally and also via email and they said they would fix it.
At the third fitting and the dress is TIGHT! I was 30 pounds less than when I purchased and they ordered a size bigger than needed. I
asked them to please fix it so it’s not tight since I worked so hard to lose weight. And then AGAIN at the Fourth fitting and it’s still bunching up and looks like I gained weight and the dress is too small. I left the salon crying and went to David’s Bridal to try to find an off the rack dress. It’s about 10 days before my wedding and I’m freaking out. I’ve taken off multiple half days of work for these long fitting and feeing like I’ve wasted a ton of money and time I don’t really have. I am a working mother and the head of my household financially.
At the Fifth fitting – which took place at the Lana Addison salon - I requested the sample dress be taken out and I asked the consultant to try it on because I know mine isn’t fitting correctly. She did not. She told me it’s fitting correctly and that it’s supposed to fall straight in the front. I’m so exhausted at this point and just don’t know what to do so I just concede.
Sixth fitting and it looks less bad than before. Still bunching and tight but I had to leave for my wedding the next day so I sign the papers and take my dress and leave, defeated, because no amount of pleading, asking, emailing would get the seamstress to make the skirt match the original shape of the dress.
When my wedding day came the dress starts breaking- the back tore open, the bustle ripped, and the seem at one of the sleeves is coming undone. I got my photos back and the dress is bunched up and ripped and I look like a messy chubby bride who tried to fit in a dress too small for her when in fact I spent WAYYYY too much money and starved myself for six months to lose 30 pounds. I spent almost SIX thousand dollars and want to cry when I see wedding photos that show my lower half.
I contacted the salon owner and she told me that the dress fit correctly (it absolutely, without a doubt, did NOT and I have confirmed this with other tailors).
My dress is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen and the prices here are reasonable without being cheaply made. I customized mine to add small sleeves and they made it exactly how I described it.
I am so happy we used Lana Addison! My dress was perfect and they went above and beyond to make everything easy for this lower maintenance non wedding savvy bride!
Lana Addison had the perfect dress! I had shopped all over the triangle to find a dress and this was where we found the one. I had wanted alterations that included removing every single sequin from the bodice and they made it happen, no problem! Megan was the sweetest at my appointment and worked with me to find the perfect dress. For years, I had dreamt of what my wedding dress would look like, and Lana Addison helped make those dreams come true!
My dress was absolutely perfect! Everyone was so helpful in helping me pick out exactly what I was looking for.
I want to say how thankful I am for the wonderful experience that my mom and I had selecting the PERFECT gown. I could not have asked for a better day. It really was meant to be that they were able to fit me in last minute. I was telling my mom that I felt like I was trying dresses on with my best friends or even “sisters”. The entire team was extremely helpful and honestly if the other lady there was not trying on similar gowns, I would not have even known that there was anyone else in the store. They made us feel as though all attention was on us. Everyone was extremely encouraging and full of excellent advice without being pushy at all. That means a lot as the bride’s wedding day is such a big moment and start of a new chapter in our lives. I also thought I would share how important that day was to my mom. When we got in the car after leaving the store I asked her again what she thought and she immediately starting crying happy tears saying how special that day was for her. That made me feel so amazing to hear that as my mom is such an important person in my life and is always doing so much for me. I have already told many of my friends what an unforgettable experience I had and told them I will be posting this everywhere I can. Please let everyone at Lana Addison know how thankful my mom and I are to your team.
DO NOT SHOP HERE.
The only reason I gave them 1 star is because I couldn't move forward with this review without giving them at least one. I would give 0 if it let me.
I am heartbroken over how my dress turned out. I was married on 10/20/2018 in PA., and can't even look at pictures from that day. To most brides, the dress is arguably one of the most important parts of the day, and it certainly was for me.
I bought my dress early November 2017, I am not from NC, so I made sure I bought my dress with PLENTY of time for multiple fittings, if required. Lana Addison reassured me we had plenty of time (I bought the dress just about a full year before the wedding). My dress was Martina Liana separates. April 2018, I received a call that my dress came in. I booked my appointment immediately and drove to NC for the weekend. When I walked in to see my dress for the first time in 5.5 months, imagine my disappointment to see that it was not the right dress. The dress the designer made was not mine, and Lana Addison didn't bother to check that before calling me, a mistake which they took full responsibility for. They sent that dress back and re-ordered my actual dress. Now it is August 2018, TEN months since I bought my dress, TWO months before my wedding and I am now just having my first fitting.
I drive to NC again for the weekend, only to get to the salon and they can't find my dress AND also tell me that I never ordered a lace overlay...about 45 minutes of waiting around, they found the dress and the overlay. They had the wrong bride's name written down. At this point, I have lost some confidence in the salon. They assure me everything will be smooth sailing from now on. I complete my first and second fitting.
At my third fitting, which should have been my final, I am two weeks away from my wedding and the dress is not finished. I had no other opportunities to drive back to NC before the wedding, so I had to sign a document stating I was okay with my sister picking up the dress once they finished it. I had no other choice.
10/20/2018, I put my dress on for the first time, the morning of my wedding, and nothing was done from the 2nd fitting on. My lace overlay was supposed to be stitched up the side, attached completely to the corset and it wasn't. This might not sound like much, but it makes a huge difference, and I was re-assured time and time again that it WOULD be done before my sister picked my dress up. The length also had me tripping on my dress then entire day, even though I brought my exact shoes to the 2nd and 3rd fitting.
Lana Addison offered to cover part of my alterations in response to not receiving the correct dress in the beginning. Looking back, it is laughable that that is all I received, knowing how my dress turned out for the wedding.
I did NOT get what I paid for, and of course the dress was not cheap. I will now always look back at pictures and be disappointed in my wedding dress. When I show people pictures of how the dress was supposed to look (pictures from the 3rd fitting) and how it actually looked, everyone can see the difference. I felt beautiful in the dress at the fittings, I felt like a box in the dress at my wedding. Of course, the dress itself is gorgeous, but it was not fit to me as Lana Addison promised me it would be.
I am happy to go into more detail for any bride who wants to contact me. afgalvin@yahoo.com
DO NOT go here! I am a very laid back person, and it takes a lot for me to leave a review. I’m only doing so because I wish I read a review like this before going Lana Addison. Upon first impression, the cottage home is cute, cozy, and the consultants are friendly. They do not allow you pick through the gowns, the consultants pull them for you. (You are also not allowed to take pictures). My initial appointment was fine, but it was during the second appointment (my first bridal appointment with my mother!) that things took a turn. The consultants were extremely PUSHY and wanted a commitment to the dress. I couldnt give one yet, and expressed it was important to me for my sisters to be there when I say “yes to the dress” to share in that moment. The owner, Alexia, came in and was extremely rude saying, “Just buy the dress today, I’m sure they don’t care about that moment. Why don’t you call and ask right now.” I honestly didn’t know what to say to her except, “I’m sorry but i don’t feel comfortable with that.” She then said “well tell them to come here now, where are they?” I asked if i could schedule a final appointment to sign for the dress and do measurements with my sisters present, and Alexia made it sound like they were “too busy” but “i guess we can squeeze you in.” The consultant mentioned alterations are only by an in-house seamstress that is VERY expensive starting at $600-800!! (Note: most of the poor ratings are due to seamstress error in alterations). We LOVED the gown and we truly felt it was “the one” - but Alexia and her consultants ruined that special time with my mother and I . It was uncomfortable. They do NOT care about brides and just want a sale.
I later went to other salons in the area and had a completely different experience! It was so carefree, fun, and the consultants didn’t make me feel pressured or uncomfortable.
I had an incredible experience working with Lana Addison and 1000% recommend them! I loved working with all of the girls, especially the seamstress, Maria. My dress came out even more perfect than I could have imagined and fit me so perfectly all because of Maria. Maria also did an incredible job using pieces of my mom's wedding dress and her veil to make something truly unique and personal for my wedding day. Everyone was so welcoming and warm, and I loved going back every time for my fittings. I was able to find the most gorgeous dress within my budget and I could not have had a more perfect experience! I was originally going to purchase my dress in Connecticut (where I got married), and am so happy I decided to go with Lana Addison. I cannot thank them enough!
Lana Addison has excellent service and absolutely gorgeous gowns! They also have in-house seamstresses and one will be assigned to alter your gown to your liking, should you decide to use them for alterations. It was a very personalized experience the entire way through, from shopping for the gown to the final fitting. My seamstress was very detailed and made sure every single stitch was perfect. She even customized a portion of my gown for me to make it look EXACTLY how I wanted!
I had an amazing experience at Lana Addison Bridal! The shop is located in a cute house, and I had a private room for me, my mom, and mother-in-law. It had a boutique-type feel, which I really enjoyed. I appreciated the privacy we had. My consultant was really wonderful as well. She listened to my wants, and wasn't pushy at all. They have an amazing selection of dresses from amazing designers, and the prices were affordable for the quality. I highly recommend shopping for a wedding gown here!
If I could give these ladies endless amounts of stars, I would. I cannot thank the team at Lana Addison enough for helping me through what I thought was an impossible situation. I am less than a month away from my wedding day with a major dress crisis on my hands as things had fallen through with my original wedding gown. Alexia, owner of Lana Addison and Alexia's Bridal Boutique, and her team jumped in immediately to help me through this situation. She pulled sample options from both of her boutiques so I could try them on all at once, stayed open late for me, contacted multiple designers to negotiate getting new samples overnight, and was quick to respond to all of my frantic emails. Alexia truly went above and beyond to help me and I am so thankful for her and her team! Lana Addison and Alexia's Bridal Boutique are both FULL service boutiques which a lot of bridal boutiques in the area don't offer. This means you can expect quality service from the time you purchase your dress through your alterations. And you can rest assured that this team will take care of you and go above and beyond to help you make this portion of your wedding planning a breeze! Thank you x 100000 to this amazing team! Start your search here or Alexia's and you will not be disappointed.
The Lana Addison Team was amazing in helping me select my gown. For every gown I tried on, the consultant would listen to what I liked and didn't like, and the next set of gowns would reflect her listening. We ended up being done within an hour due to her attention to detail. The team never showed me a dress that was out of my price range.
When it came time to alterations, Maria was an angel. She had the gown perfectly altered after one fitting (which is needed when you're an out of town bride.) Maria also took a part of my grandma's wedding dress and turned it into a hair piece for the big day. This is a treasure that my family will hold onto for generations.
From the moment I walked in the door they treated me with such love and care. I was excited to have a wonderful boutique with the best dresses at my disposal right here in North Carolina. I found my dress on my first visit. The seamstress Maria was amazing and did a wonderful job of altering my dream dress. I highly recommend this vendor if your looking for work class taste with a hint of southern charm!
I had a really fantastic overall experience with Lana Addison Bridal. It was my last stop trying on dresses and I'd already tried at least 50 others over 8 different appointments . I was determined to find a dress that day and Lana Addison had SO many BEAUTIFUL dresses to choose from. The atmosphere was warm and welcome. They really make you feel like the most important person in the world and that your day is the most special day (Despite the fact that they see brides all day every day). It's a great atmosphere. The dress I fell in love with was a sample dress and a size too small. Long story short, we were unable to order the dress in a bigger size even though the sales consultants told us several times we absolutely could. When they realized their mistake, they assured me they could take the dress out a couple inches and it would fit, and they offered us an additional discount for their mistake. I was really apprehensive about it, so they offered me a consultation with a seamstress who would tell me for certain whether or not they could make this discontinued only left of its kind dress fit me. In walks the WONDERFUL Maria to this story! Maria was my fairy godmother. She started alterations on my dress long before necessary just to put me at ease and show me the dress would definitely fit. After a couple sessions with Maria, I picked my dress up the Friday before my wedding and it was absolutely perfect! I definitely recommend this salon, it was an overall positive experience and it's a great atmosphere!
I had the best experience with Lana Addison Bridal. I was nervous about being able to find the perfect wedding dress for me and thought it would take some time, but I found it on my first appointment! They made me feel so at ease and were not pushy at all to make a sale. They even stayed after hours to allow me all the time I needed to make my decision. I really felt like the bridal consultant cared about me and she even cried happy tears with me and my family when I put on "the one." It was an experience I'll never forget and I'm so thankful to Lana Addison for making it as great as it was!
My entire experience with the girls at Lana Addison was wonderful. From the moment I walked in the door I immediately felt welcome. They listened to my thoughts about what I envisioned my dress to look like and truly made it come to life. I did not feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of dresses... their shop had just the right amount of variety both in dress styles and pricing within my budget. After saying yes to the dress they communicated with me throughout the entire process and worked with my schedule when it came time for fittings. I also enjoyed working with their alternations team. She was able to make a few small tweaks and the dress fit like it was made for me. Thank you to the ladies at Lana Addison for making that part of wedding planning enjoyable and stress free!!!
I cannot recommend this place enough!! Amazing service and gorgeous gowns! It was my first bridal appointment and I went to a few other appointments and nothing came close to comparing to my wonderful experience at Lana Addison! They even snuck me in for a quick appointment to try "the dress" on one last time before saying yes.
Lana Addison Bridal was PERFECT. Kaitlyn was so sweet and knew exactly which dresses to pick to make sure I could make my decision. The dress I ended up picking was not one I would have picked for myself, but once I put it on I felt like a million dollars and knew it was the one. The whole staff was so welcoming and it was a wonderful day! I brought a larger group and they didn't even bat an eye and even brought up a round of champagne after I said yes to the dress! I highly recommend going to them to help you find the dress for your special day!!
I found my dress at Lana Addison! The customer service was the best and they had such a budget friendly and beautiful selection!!
I live in DC and had been to several stores before coming to Lana over the holidays last year. They were 100% the best customer service I experienced in dress shopping. The staff is super helpful and sweet, and their seamstress is very talented.
I love Lana Addison! This quaint, charming boutique is in downtown Cary and has the best customer service ever! From the moment I walked in and was served champagne to my final dress fitting, I loved every second at Lana! The girls were all so uplifting, and were able to suggest designers/dresses for me based on my taste. I lost a lot of weight between when I found the dress and when I got married and the in-house seamstress, Ruth, made the alterations flawlessly among other ones I wanted (straight neckline changed to sweetheart, buttons on the back of the dress, etc). In addition, the girls were so patient with me during my fittings. I had a ballgown and did not like the way that the bustle looked initially and they tried various ways to bustle the dress, thinking through all options with me. Thank you Lana Addison!
I had a fantastic experience with Lana Addison from my Say Yes moment until my last dress fitting! The ladies were so personable, interactive, and fun! It also helps that they remember their clients and the conversations from all dress fittings. Great team! And not to mention great dresses!
When I went to Lana Addison, I had a very specific idea in my head of what I wanted my dress to look like. Turns out, what I wanted wasn't the best fit for me. The women at Lana Addison were awesome. They pulled a ton of dresses for me and listened to my feedback for each one without putting any pressure on me until I found the perfect, unique dress I was looking for. Their in-house seamstress was amazing. I couldn't have been happier with the service or my dress, and I came in under budget!
A beautiful selection of dresses in a medium price range! The boutique is quaint and charming especially while sipping their champagne! I purchased a Martina Liana gown and Paris by Debra Moreland veil (after I purchased a Jennifer Leigh veil that I ended up not liking in person). While the staff was sweet, they were young and I noticed quite a bit of turnaround. I recommend visiting their sister store in Raleigh. Alexia's is classy and sophisticated from start to finish but in a higher price range.
I looked at many bridal shops before coming here. I do feel like their selection was good but I'm not sure if I decided to buy my dress there because of that of because I drove 3 hours to get there and I was growing tired of looking. The initial appointment was good, other than trying one veil on and the manager who I was not even working with said she was adding it to my order! I was like, uhh..hold your horses, when did I say I wanted to order this?! I didn't. So next, my dress is ready to pick up I call and talk to this girl who talks WAY to fast who tells me I can pick my dress up on a Saturday with no appointment. So I drive up on a Saturday and they actually turned me away for not having an appointment. I told her I would just need a few minutes to get it and I was told I could. No. Jaimie was her name, was firm in telling me I could actually never pick up my dress on a weekend because they reserve that time for sales only. I would have to get it on a week day. I work full time 3 hours away, so I told her I would have to take a whole day off of work just for 10 minutes to pick up a dress. She was rude on the phone and quite heartless I would even say. Offering no help with my situation to find a compromise or solution. I was really offended. I spent $2,700 on my dress and this was the customer service I receive. Once they land a sale they couldn't care less about you as a customer. So the manager tells me she can't do anything about me coming on a Saturday without speaking to the owner. Ridiculous. Who runs a business this way? I manage a business and it would honestly fail if I was prohibited from making decisions and MANAGING the operations. So the owner approved me to pick it up in a Saturday only at 9:00am though and told me repeatly and in voicemails that my time was limited to 30 minutes even though I said all I needed was 10 minutes. We didn't want to leave at 5:30am so we spent the night in a hotel which cost $100. I get there and they put me in a room with my dress and leave without helping me into it. I'm just struggling like an idiot. The bag it's in has STAINS and a TEAR on it. I swear. I mean, never...never would I refer someone here. Not even my friends in Raleigh. My friends deserve better than what they offer. The owner needs to get a handle on their business and the customer service they offer. They should be embarrassed.
As much as I wanted to love this cute, charming, locally owned bridal boutique, the customer service I received warrants a one-star rating. My main concerns with this shop were the lack of professionalism by the staff and lack of knowledge regarding sizing.
After a good initial appointment with the salon, I decided to purchase my gown. The following week they emailed me regarding which size to order (looking back, I should not have left the salon until my sizing was discussed in person). The email suggested a size 2, which did not make sense to me since the sample I tried on was a 10 and the consultant at the time said that it fit well on me, but she still had to consult the sizing guide provided by the designer to get a more accurate size. I ended up ordering a 10, based on my limited knowledge of bridal sizing and the lack of clear guidance from the salon (I did call them in response to the email, but they didn’t offer to double check the size guide or admit that they made a mistake in the email, they just went with the 10 since I had mentioned that the sample size ‘fit ok’).
Needless to say, the size 10 is huge on me. I have since reached out to the owner, and she has acknowledged that I was mis-sized and she would have ordered a size 8 for me (based on the designer size guide), as I fall between a 6 and an 8 through the hips. This just proves that the original staff that worked with me didn’t know how to read the size guide and provided zero guidance.
This whole experience has been stressful and frustrating. I spoke with the manager a few times, but she came off very unprofessional and kept asking what I wanted from them (a sincere apology and accountability for their mistake would have been enough). The owner, who I did get in contact with via email, was much more professional in her communications and apologized for the sizing mishaps.
A couple of other items to note are 1) No photos are allowed while trying on the gowns and 2) They don’t allow pick ups or alterations on Saturdays. When I did take time off of work to pick up my gown during the week, they failed to mention that my belt was not yet received and told me to come back later (on a weekday). I finally got them to mail me my belt, which they promptly charged me $11 for. This was after realizing that they had missized me. I thought the manager would have offered to at least cover the shipping based on their sizing errors, but she did not. I’m not upset that I had to pay $11, it was more just disappointment in customer service. Something as small as covering the $11 would have made a positive impression on me. Please save yourself the stress and go somewhere else for your wedding gown!
I bought my dress here after a state wide search!! We actually had a bridal consultant that had initially worked with me at the Alexia Bridal shop who offered to help me find my perfect dress at their sister location, Lana Addison. She helped me order a special sample of a dress that was so unique and classic, as well as helping to pick out the perfect accessories and veil to compliment my dress. I was so happy to buy my dress here and felt confident in having my alterations done there as well. I would recommend this to anyone!!!
This was the 2nd place I went to and the two women working were not very inviting. I did have a bigger group which I can understand can be overwhelming, but we were the only appointment in the entire place and we had our own room for the appointment. The Good: they offered champagne and had a nice variety of dresses. The bad: the consultant wasn't very friendly and really turned me off from wanting to buy anything from them, she also didn't let me walk through or pick any of the dresses I tried on. She sent us straight upstairs away from the dresses while she picked them out. Some of these things people might be okay with but it was tough for me to enjoy it after the first place I went to.
I purchased my dress at Lana Addison and loved the selection they offered and the great service they provided us! Their staff was very knowledgable and helpful the entire time. I felt that they offered reasonably priced dresses that were all good quality. My only complaint is that I used one of their seamstresses to do my alterations and she was very expensive...I think if I could do it again I definitely would still buy a dress there but I would take it to an outside source for alterations.
I found my dress the day before my appointment at Lana Addison at Traditions by Anna, where I highly recommend. I called to cancel my appointment at Lana Addison but they still charged me the $50 fee for canceling. I called within the 24hr notice which is what I was told, but when I called to cancel I was told they required 48 hours to cancel. I asked them to waive the fee since I had just found my dress and didn't want to waste their appointment time on a Saturday but they weren't willing to compromise and still charged me $50. DO NOT GO TO LANA ADDISON!
I love Lana Addison Bridal!
This was the first wedding dress shop I had been to and it was a great experience. I tried on 5 dresses and the 5th (the wildcard!) was the one! The services provided since day 1 was amazing! The first lady who actually helped me pick out my dress was very patient and kind. She listened to my desires and concerns very well. The 5th dress was a sample dress and the owner happened to be at the boutique that day, she offered a very generous discount! And they even gave me a day to think about it, great customer service! From there on, Jessica helped me with fittings. She's my favorite! Jessica is very sweet and easy to get along with. Since my fiancé and I were on a tight budget, I really wanted a sweet heart neckline but was afraid of the extra cost. Jessica discounted the alterations so that I could afford it! How amazing!
Lana Addison Bridal is an EXCELLENT place to find your perfect dress! The staff is friendly, attentive, and very accommodating to your specials needs. And the dresses are beautiful! One time, there was a mix up with one of my appointments, it was no big deal to be me but the staff offered a 10% discount off the alterations for the inconvenience! Lana Addison goes ABOVE and BEYOND to satisfy their customers, not many businesses do this!
Thank you! I sure do miss visiting this lovely boutique!
I loved my dress from Lana Addison! I bought a sample dress off of the rack and worked with a seamstress to make my dress one-of-a-kind! I ultimately chose Lana Addison because they had an in-house seamstress and with my idea for a dress, I knew I needed a talented and trusted seamstress. And I was not let down! My seamstress was AMAZING! She did a wonderful job on my dress and transformed my dress from a simple sample to a gorgeous lace gown. The staff at Lana Addison was hit or miss. Some of the ladies were great to work with and very friendly. Some acted like you were a small burden. It just depended on when you went in I suppose. Overall, I loved my experience and they were very helpful with pricing and helping us to choose to best design and fabric possible.
The girls here were very helpful and patient while I tried on several dresses across a couple of sessions. They have even helped me get extra buttons for my dress after I lost some on the day of the wedding.
After visiting 6 other salons I was very happy to find Lana Addison. They have great dresses and it’s a nice welcoming salon. My problems started once I purchased a dress. Once the dress came in was HUGE! I was puzzled considering I was measured by their associate and in fact had gained weight but my dress was sizes too large. We started the first fitting and I waited for the alterations bill. Once I got the bill my jaw dropped. My alterations bill was close to a third of the dress cost! I was so upset that I called the salon. The original estimate to add a bustle was $190, this was after the seamstress told me she would add a "baby bustle". I guess in their mind a baby bustle costs almost $200. On another of my fittings the seamstress "forgot" about my appointment. I drove over an hour to get to the salon only to sit for close to an hour for her to never show. This is completely ridiculous considering I was called the day before for a reminder of the appointment time. If the salon called me, then I'm sure they call their seamstress. I was compensated for this first mess up and decided not to worry that I was sure they would do an amazing job. My dress was finally finished and I went to pick it up. I took it home and put it away waiting for my wedding day. I had a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding in Orlando Florida. Once we got to Orlando I took the dress out of the bag to let my family see it. This is when I noticed what a HORRIBLE job the seamstress did. First off I was charged $300 to “remove” beading on the top because it had to be taken in 3 inches on each side. I was told that she would be removing beads and moving them by hand. This did not happen. She simply folded the dress over on top of the other side resulting in completely uneven bead work. In fact, you can see where she just looped the beads over because there is a loop of bead work! I would like to know why I was charged for so much labor when all she did was fold the top over. Next, I looked at the hem line. It was jagged and she left strands of string all around the dress. We tried to do the bustle to practice before the big day only to find a yellow topped pin where she I’m assuming “forgot” to do the bustle!! We started photographing all of the mess up. My sister was looking at the jagged bead work up top and noticed that there were pins left in the bodice of the dress!!! We pulled out 7 pins!! I find that to be absolutely ridiculous! We have tons of photos to document this horrible job. I feel that I was lied to about the services they were providing. I am disgusted at the seamstress and this salon for employing someone who is outright lying to their customers. Never again will I recommend this salon after the way my alterations were handled. I have plenty of photos to prove the terrible services I was provided.
I had such a wonderful experience at Lana Addison Bridal! The store is a cozy little house with beautiful dresses all around you. This was perfect for me since I easily get overwhelmed in bridal warehouses with stacks of dresses that have been worn a million times (and look like it!) messily hanging everywhere.
I received personal attention with each and every visit (along with a glass of champagne). :) They were very kind and gave their honest opinion when asked. This was very helpful for me since my MOH and mother live out of state and couldn't be there for the fittings. I would recommend Lana Addison to every bride in the RDU area!
PS- Lauren, you are fabulous! Thank you for helping me find the wedding dress of my dreams :)
I had a wonderful experience with Lana Addison. The initial visit to try on dresses was the least overwhelming experience I had and I went to five different shops. The dressing rooms are beautiful and simply decorated with enough space to bring a few guests in with you. We were always offered something to drink upon arrival. Lauren worked with me initially and was very kind and helpful, but not intrusive. Once I decided to purchase my gown there, the process was very easy and straight-forward.
Cristina helped us during the several appointments leading up to the wedding and was very kind and helpful. Ruth, their amazing seamstress, was fabulous. She helped me with a very special project to sew some pieces of my grandfather, father and brother's fabric into my gown. It turned out beautifully and her work on my lace gown was perfection.
The entire experience was wonderful and I highly recommend brides to check out Lana Addison when you begin your dress hunt.
Lana Addison Bridal is the perfect place to find a dress-- cozy, and without the "big store" feel. They carry lines that are not necessarily available at other locations (for instance, Martina Liana), as well as more mainstream lines (Pronovias). My dress fit me perfectly!
Very helpful staff and beautiful options. Smaller shop so we received personalized service, which was nice!
I loved Lana Addison Bridal! I loved my helper, Lauren, who was with me from start to finish. This was the first and last place I tried on dresses. It only took me about 10 dresses to find the one! The only downfall is the alterations process - The alterations were fairly pricy, but I am sure this is probably true for anywhere.
I am not the super excited 21 year old bride and this salon was perfect. They let me try on dresses and express my own opinion.
Value was great and service was perfect. Never worried one bit even when my seamstress had to leave to go out of the country for a couple weeks.
Would recommend to EVERY bride!
Make sure you ask for the senior salestaff. My wedding was last year (the date on my profile is wrong and I can't seem to fix it) The dress I choose was beautiful, and they had a decent selection. But, the dress the staff ordered for me was several sizes too large, not just loose to allow for alterations. The alterations were unable to save it. The dress ended up having an inappropriately low bustline. I bought a sweater to wear over the dress at the reception, which saved it somewhat. But the pictures from the ceremony itself without the sweater to hide it are so bad that we are not ordering any wedding pictures. Imagine being so unhappy with your dress that you don't order wedding pictures! That is how bad this was.
I tried on dresses at a few shops in the area and Lana Addison was my favorite. The staff is very down to earth and approachable, and their alterations staff member did an amazing job on my dress. There is a wide selection of dresses to try on and they are all so pretty!
wanted to leave a detailed review, but went over the allowed words. so to simplify. had to go between Lana Addison and Alexia's bridal salon (sister salons) started at alexia's where they didn't get the dress i had requested for my first appointment. said they couldn't get it, that the designer wasn't lending it out. but when i contacted the designer, she said they never asked. so they went back and got that dress along with 2 other dresses for my next fitting, that my mom bought a plane ticket to come to. contacted me just before my appointment to tell me they couldn't get the one dress again, but could the next week. my mom paid to have her flight changed and we went the week after. loved the one dress, ordered it, being told it was in the high 4 thousands. got home and the Lana Addison salon called saying the price was wrong it was $5,500. the dress was already pushing my budget, but i said yes, because at that point i thought of it as "the dress" and i loved it. i had spoken with the alterations woman at Alexia, when trying on the dress, with a concern about the cut of the sides of the dress, and she assured me she could fix it. but when it came time to try on the dress and have alterations done, they sent me to the Lana Addison salon. when i was there on my first visit, i was give an estimate for $480.00 for alterations, showed them what i wanted fixed, talked about what other adjustments needed to be made, and went back home. i wasn't completely happy with one of the alterations (the one i talked to the alterations woman at alexia's about) it just didn't look great, instead of having a line with a natural flow, it was somewhat broken and didn't flow well. they also forgot to do the bustle, so i had to come back (i live 2/2 hours away one way). i came back, said it was fine (honestly, i just wanted my dress and to be done with the entire process), went to take the dress with me and they said i needed to come back so it could be pressed. i told them i couldn't because of distance, so they quickly wrapped it up for me while i waited. they charged me what the estimate was for alterations, even though there were alterations listed on the estimate that were not done (the hem and taking in the back), and when i mentioned that to her and asked if it was still $480.00 she said it was still the same price. i absolutely love my dress, but if i could have gotten it ANYWHERE else (the nearest other salon i found that carries the two designers was in Atlanta which is 9 hours away) i would have done so. i was disappointed with every step of the process and saddened that what is supposed to be such a "beautiful moment" was something i just wanted to be done with.
This is good place to shop if you want good service and not really high prices. They also have a good selection of Claire Pettibone dresses for those brides who want a vintage look.
I LOVE my dress I got at Lana Addison. Every single one of their gowns are incredible. They are good to work with, albeit a little stand-offish. The biggest draw back I had was their alterations person. She is not an employee of the actual boutique and comes in when needed. Aside from that, if you're looking for a chic gown of any style - check them out!
This shop is very quaint and has a southern charm. There is the biggest selection but all of the gowns are high quality.
My wedding dress was everything I dreamed. It was not a chore to select the one for me.
Lana Addison truly has a very professional staff with the best seamstress ever! I found my dress off the rack and truly enjoyed all of my visits back for alterations! I've previously worked in a bridal shop and had only bad things to say about that shop and that experience. Lana Addison is totally different! Please shop there for your dress! You will not be disappointed!
Finding a dress is arguably one of the most important parts of the wedding planning process for brides, so it's very important to find a dress shop with employees that put you at ease and really listen to what you want for your special day. I found this very personal treatment at Lana Addison. I didn't know the proper terms for the dresses that I was looking for, but I had a very clear idea of how I wanted to feel on my wedding day (nothing too revealing, very comfortable and able to move). Cristina pulled the dresses that I thought would look nice and also continued to look for items that she felt might also fit my requirements - she actually ended up pulling out the dress that I ended up purchasing. This was only my second trip dress shopping and I felt so fortunate that I was able to work with such a sweet and knowledgeable salesperson. You can also check out their inventory on their website so you can get an idea of what you'd like to try on before you even go. I highly recommend shopping at Lana Addison!
I had the pleasure of having Lauren help me find my dream dress. In the beginning I picked Kennedy by Amy Kuschel- I loved it and immediately put down a deposit. My mother did not feel that it fit the lavish affair of my wedding and was not pleased- I called Lauren in tears and she was so comforting. She spoke with the owners of Lana Addison and Amy Kuschel and I was able to chose another dress.
While I was planning my wedding I had recently moved to the NC area and didn't have any one to bring with me dress shopping- dress shopping without friends or family can be lonely and sad but I felt supported my Lauren. I felt Lauren gave me her honest opinion- she just wasn't trying to sell me a dress, I could tell that she truly wanted me to find The One. I did end up getting Swanson by Amy Kuschel. Lauren helped me find the perfect veil. She also let me come in to the store numerous times throughout my process to try on different jewelry with my gown. I loved working with Lauren, she is so sweet and made my dress shopping fun and exciting! I really appreciated all Lauren did to help me through the whole process. I would recommend Lana Addison to anyone- it is such a cute shop located in downtown Cary. I would HIGHLY recommend working with Lauren- she is awesome!
the sales ladies at lana addison were very nice and knowledgeable. i suggest going during a trunk show as there are those extras to look at/try on and that is how i found my dress. i would not recommend using their seamstress though. she did not listen to my concerns and told me that things could only be fixed a certain way. i found out the hard way the week before my wedding that they could be fixed and thankfully found a great seamstress that was not only reasonable with her pricing but did amazing work in 2 days time.
Lana Addison was one of the smallest boutiques that I went to looking for a dress, and I ended up picking the first one I tried on. The individual service was great, and they were able to find me the perfect dress. They had a free alterations incentive because I bought the dress on my first visit, which saved us hundreds of dollars. They were also willing to customize my dress by adding buttons onto the back. I loved working with the ladies at Lana Addison!
Lana Addison made my wedding dress experience special from the very beginning. The dress I purchased happened to be on sample sale, and Lana Addison helped me to schedule fittings and achieve the look I was going for with professionalism, and flare. Maria- the expert seamstress was wonderful and gracefully took all my feedback and worked her magic. Lana Addison has a selection of dresses in a large variety of styles but also has the feel of a small town boutique which was wonderful and made my experience feel very personal and special. The staff know what they are doing and are always there to answer questions and help in any way they can. I highly recommend Lana Addison for anyone looking for a unique dress with a personal touch.
I had the pleasure of purchasing my wedding gown from Lana Addison Bridal for my wedding this past weekend. The staff at Lana Addison were the best! The experience I had there was not what I expected when I started dress shopping. The atmosphere at the boutique was very relaxing and calming. I never felt rushed or pushed along so they could get to their next appointment. They were awesome!! I also had my alterations done here and the dress fit perfectly! I would definately reccomend Lana Addison to any bride and her family!
I loved Lana Addison!! They were so friendly and it was the most awesome experience!! It's an old house renovated into a bridal salon and it is adorable! I loved my entire experience with them!! My dress was gorgeous and all of the alterations and appointments went off without a hitch! If you are looking for gorgeous dresses at a reasonable price I would definitely recommend!
Lana Addison is the sister store to Alexia's in Cary. They offer a little bit lower price range - which was exactly what we were going for. They bring in trunk shows frequently that have deals and offer really awesome wedding dress options. They carry a very wide variety of very high-quality dresses. Not only was my dress beautiful on the day, they took amazing care of it and were awesome to work with when I needed to take it for alterations and bring it back. The lady who did our alterations commented on how well-made the dress was. They made everything go seamlessly and have great pride in their dresses. Sometimes the woman who owns both shops comes off as haughty, but it's because she really believes in what she does, and she does it extremely well.
