My Dress Ruined My Son's Wedding For Me
1. It was incredibly hard and frustrating to get in contact with Michelle by email and phone.
2. When I first contacted Michelle I only had 2 weeks before my son's wedding. In my email to her I gave a very in-depth description of what I needed to be done. She gave me an appt. one week before the wedding then after pinning the dress she tells me she is going away and won't be back until right before the wedding. I couldn't take the dress elsewhere because I didn't know where to take it. I kept waiting to hear from her and finally I started to call and email her as to when I could pick up the dress. The wedding was Friday, the rehearsal dinner Thursday evening and Wednesday night she emails me that they are driving home from NC.
3. She brought the dress to the rehearsal dinner so I didn't have a chance to try it on. The day of the wedding I put the dress on and it doesn't fit properly. Instead of removing the built-in bra and boning she talked me into leaving it in and wearing a padded bra to fill up the bra. The bodice was taken up at the shoulders to raise the waist, neckline and bust line. The armholes were too tight and cut into me the whole day. I am recovering from knee surgery so I had to sit a lot, the bust in the dress rode up over my own bust and bunched at my neck. I was self conscious and so uncomfortable that instead of enjoying my son's special day I couldn't wait to get home and get the dress off... the day was ruined.
I would never recommend anyone to use Michelle Renee. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding where Michelle was to do three bridesmaid dresses and alterations to the bride's gown.We contacted Michelle in May and did our first fitting. She stated at the first fitting she would contact us within a week.
After many attempts to contact her by text, email, and Facebook through myself and the bride I then threatened to use legal action against her to complete our dresses and contact us for our next fittings. She then emailed the bride and a few days later finally gave us second fittings. Many were the. canceled including the brides. I live 3 1/2 hours away and came to PA for medical Appts and gave her dates ahead of time and she never responded but gave me a date where I had to drive up that wasn't one of those. Michelle promised us that she would be there and make sure that the dresses were done and that there were no issues as the bride was stressed and I wrote I was very worried. My bride had already given her money and was afraid that she wouldn't get it back so she stayed with her as Michelle stated she would have them done. Some of us only had one fitting.The bride tried contacting Michelle multiple times to pick up her dresses or see the progress of the dresses. The bride picked up the dresses two days before the wedding at 11:30 at night. The dresses look like a five-year-old had made them they look nothing like the pictures that were given. She had added spaghetti straps to two dresses where one was supposed to have a sweetheart neckline the other was to have a halter top and the straps were not even the color of the dresses. The dresses were not complete parts of the hem not completed and didn't match nor where the seams even straight lines and fabric bunched together. Michelle caused undue stress to the bride and the bridesmaids. Due to the horrible quality of the dresses we had to go to David's bridal and purchase new dresses the day before her wedding off the rack one having to be altered. I have also read and spoken to other people who have used Michelle services recently and have had similar issues. If it was my wedding I would have sued her. She had also did the brides alterations, her straps kept falling and one of her bustle hooks broke. Thank God for David's Bridal!!
Very unprofessional, quality of work is horrible, does not respond back, rip off!

Could there please be a negative star selection?
What a HORRIBLE experience!! My husband took several coats to be altered, and was told it would take her three weeks to get them done. SIX MONTHS later we still didn't have them.
My husband called, texted, drove to her place...all to no avail. She did text him once and said she could meet him on a Friday, but never said what time or where. My husband tried to call, and as usual there was never any response. He had given her $20 as a good faith gesture.
In one text he told MICHELE RENE he didn't care if she hadn't done the work, but he did want his coats back.
So, over SIX MONTHS time he called, text, and even drove to her place all to no avail. Today, he decided to drive to her place again....and MICHELE RENE was home.
She was surprised to see him. Didn't say a word to him and gave him his coats. He asked her if there was a balance and she said "no".
After arriving home, he discovers that she had DONE NOTHING to any of the coats. So, she kept the $20, very unprofessional, fraudulent, poor work ethic.....I could go on.
RUN RUN RUN away from doing any business with MICHELE RENE. I don't know how she says in business !!
Not wedding related but had difficulty finding another place to write a review-
Left a pair of pants with Michelle and won't ever see them again. Doesn't respond to texts, emails, or messages. Extremely frustrating experience- don't risk it!
Overall ok experience. She did great things to my wedding dress as well as my rehearsal dress. Never sent my bustle instructions as promised to anyone including myself. Also was hard to contact for scheduling. Is selling my unused bra at consignment however I really doubt that I will see that again. She made it a point to tell me that she was changing the boning in my dress so it didn't stab me and at my second to last appointment (last try on appointment) she said she was going to fix it. It was totally obvious that it was not fixed and you can see it in my pictures depending on how Im standing. I decided not to let it ruin my day because honestly that wasn't the most important aspect. I never tried it on again at the pick up appointment which I anticipated on doing since I was instructed to bring everything with me. Just make sure you fully understand whats going on and don't be afraid to ask questions. This was a semi frustrating experience.
