Her attention to detail and professionalism made us feel confident and cared for every step of the way. And the event captain (we wish we could remember their name!) was the unsung hero of the day. Their calm, attentive presence kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes while making sure we, and our guests, had everything we needed. Truly top-notch service. The venue itself was magical—gorgeous natural surroundings, a romantic ceremony setup, and a spacious, elegant pavilion for the reception. It felt intimate and grand all at once. Our guests couldn’t stop praising the beautiful lakefront setting. Plus, there were plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy, like the game center and golf course on the island. The food and drinks were excellent, and we loved spending our complimentary wedding night at the Legacy Lodge, complete with champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries—such a thoughtful touch! Overall, we’re so glad we chose Lanier Islands for our big day. We’ll definitely be recommending it to our newly engaged friends!

We were from out of state and we zoomed with the coordinator and stayed in contact via text and email. Venue also has wonderful accommodations!! All guests said how much fun they had and how perfect the place was for breakfast and other meals! I do not think this place can disappoint! Our wedding was in January, so it was a little cold but they could not do anything about that but if they could I bet they would!!

From the start months before through the conclusion and close-out, this was an absolutely incredible event, impeccably planned, coordinated and executed by Lanier Island Weddings led by Olivia Hinze. In this day and age of so many people taking other people's performance for granted, it is imperative that superb performance be immediately and widely recognized, and such is the case for the entire Lanier Islands Weddings management and staff. As one can well imagine, this was an extremely stressful time for my daughter and wife and everyone around them as we all prepared for the big day. From the initial entrance into "our lives", Olivia and her Lanier Islands Weddings “family” were nothing short of incredible as everyone with whom we came into contact was professional, personable, proactive, informative, dedicated, and the list goes on and on! Regardless of what was discussed or coordinated, this group was "spot-on" and very welcome persons with whom to interact. The outdoor lakeside venue was unparalleled and each associated function from the rehearsal dinner through the wedding ceremony, reception and brunch was flawlessly planned and executed with delicious food and beverage and impeccable service. The hotel, villas and cabin accommodations were incredible as our group definitely enjoyed where they stayed and the readily available activities around the resort. We could not be more pleased with the entire weekend and the related exceptional value. I do not make these statements lightly as I have been involved in various customer service activities for over 54 years - 21 years, 3 months and 4 days in various command and staff positions in the Army around the world; followed by 19 years in commercial real estate building and managing millions of square feet of space for numerous high profile organizations such as the FBI, DEA, ATF, CDC and the like; and now for the last 14 years as a Director for the U.S. General Services Administration, the Government's landlord. With this background as a foundation I believe I am at least marginally qualified to comment on a person's and a group’s performance and, in that regard, the Lanier Islands Wedding family are "superstars".

Sunday everything was just perfect. Our Friday night gathering after rehearsal and the wedding itself the very next day was absolutely amazing. Every single guest complimented the venue (Legacy Pointe), the food, staff,... Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

t major airport is over an hour away and can be a difficult ask to have people make travel arrangements around this. However, for those who are local, this property is beautiful and peaceful. Our wedding photos turned out excellent and had many different spots for photos. There's wooded areas, open areas, and water areas to have a wide range of backgrounds for photos. The reason I am ranking this venue 2 stars though is the staff that works at the venue. My wife and I had to go through 3 coordinators from the time of our deposit to the day of our wedding in less than a year. It became stressful over that time due to the lack of confidence with the front desk staff and the coordinators. The front desk staff made it very difficult for our guest to book under our room block and constantly kept telling guests that our wedding didn't exist. On the wedding weekend some guests had the wrong rooms or the rooms were unavailable and given a different one. One scenario was very disappointing where we asked the hotel to book a handicap room due to a family member's ill health, and upon arrival was given a step in shower at the back of the hotel. It was so far away that they had to take a break walking to it. They did not change their room after this was reported. The day of the wedding the venue was supposed to put cocktail tables at our venue but instead put children's tables, when asked to replace them they simply removed the children's tables and did not put cocktail tables out. I later found out our bridal party had to take them from a venue that had a wedding the night before on the property, their quick thinking was the only reason we had any tall tables that evening. When the reception began, I was interrupted by our photographer who informed me the catering captain was not going to allow them to eat because I "didn't book the right number of vendor meals" I told her to go read our contract and feed them, which she eventually did and apologized for. At the end of the evening however the staff began to pack up the bar 45 minutes early, did not do a final call and cut us off 30 minutes early. Due to this we rushed our final send off and by the time everything settled the venue was already being cleaned up and was not able to do a final dance with my wife which was the chery on top. It was a very disappointing way to end the otherwise beautiful weekend we all had there. I'm only writing this as a warning to those who are considering this venue, it's very beautiful and a great place to host with your friends and family, just be prepared to deal with the people that are already there.

this was the place. As soon as we toured “legacy pointe” we knew it was the location where we wanted to tie the knot in front of all our friends and family! Since the day we booked, every one has been so on it! From our sales manager, Celita, to our banquet manager, to every single person working, even those that open that lodge door with a smile on their face. However, the person who truly made this experience so seamless & stress free was our catering manager, Olivia Hinze. I honestly can’t even believe this is her title because the girl does it all!!! If i had a question or the slightest “issue”, I say that lightly because there really wasn’t many, she was right there to answer, fix it or make sure we had whatever we envisioned or needed. Planning weddings are stressful but Olivia made it sooo easy!! She even showed up to our rehearsal dinner and wedding day to check in, make sure everything was perfect & give her well wishes. We have received nonstop compliments on everything: from the friendliness of the staff, to how wonderful the food tasted, even down to how clean & well taken care of the whole island is. We cannot recommend this place enough! We will definitely be back to stay, maybe our one year anniversary, & just enjoy all the resort has to offer. Thank you Lanier Islands & thank you, Olivia!!

Both of them were great partners right from signing the contract to assisting with room block for guests to helping in creating a detailed plan to flawless execution on the day of the event. Both of them demonstrated great attitude with the sole objective of bringing happiness to us and our guests. Throughout the 14 months of interaction, they were very flexible and patient with our requests, and did everything that was possible for them to accommodate for us, at times going out of the way. And they were highly prompt in the communication that helped a long way in easing out the stress that comes with planning such an event. Overall it was a great experience from the start of the interactions 14 months before the event to the closing at mid night on the day of. We could not have asked for anything more. Thanks to Anna and Olivia, and the entire Lanier Islands team!

Olivia Hinze took over and really made all our dreams a reality. There were times that I definitely freaked out, and she did such a wonderful job calming me down. And then when it was finally time for the rehearsal dinner and wedding, it was even better than I could possibly imagine!! Our rehearsal dinner was at Venetian Pier and the wedding was at Legacy Pointe. My husband had a pre-wedding event at Gamechanger and we had a post-wedding brunch at Sidney’s. Many guests remarked that this was the best wedding that they had even been too. I am sure that this was definitely in large part because of the staff at LLI. I will be forever grateful to them for the most memorable and perfect wedding ever!!!

Cory was great to work with and made sure all the details were handled to a tee! The Banquet Captains, Christina for the rehearsal dinner at Venetian Pier, and Danitza for the reception at Legacy Point, were most attentive to all the food service needs. Both meals were delicious, and the wait staff and bartenders were all excellent! We chose to use Lanier Islands preferred vendors for the wedding details. Our wedding planner, Jackie from Smooth Tie the Knots, was a true pleasure to work with. She helped us throughout the entire planning process from beginning to end. Jackie and her assistant, Katy, were so helpful and made sure all the wedding day details were in order. Jessica and her team at Design House of Flowers in Buford created a spectacular rustic night at the Venetian Pier for the rehearsal dinner. They also provided beautiful bouquets and arrangements for the ceremony and transformed the Legacy Point tent and pavilion into a beautiful elegant reception for dining and dancing. Malinda and her team at The Baking Grounds in Buford provided delectable sweets for both the rehearsal dinner and reception. Our wedding weekend experience at Lanier Islands was incredible! Every staff member was so nice and friendly from the guard at the entrance gate, the valets and bell staff, the front desk staff, the servers at Sidney’s and the bartenders and servers at Bullfrogs. Also, our king suite at the Lodge was immaculate and the housekeeping staff was also very friendly. Our wedding guests enjoyed the pool as well as golfing and spa services. It was the perfect venue for our wedding and for our family and friends to enjoy a little slice of North Georgia and Lake Lanier!

We had no idea what we were doing and she gave us plenty of advice and made us super comfortable.... The ceremony itself was absolutely beautiful!!! I highly recommend doing it on the lake during the fall, makes for beautiful photos!!! It was supposed to rain our wedding day and we decided not to move it inside just in case. Well the rain went away right before the wedding and the sun came out as the ceremony started happening!

All of our guests loved staying on the islands for the weekend in the logde and the villas and everyone coplimented us on how beautiful the wedding was. We found many of our vendors on their preferred vendor list and they too were amazing. The food for dinner and appetizers was so good and the staff made sure that we sat down and ate during our reception. Olivia was our catering manager and she was kind, fun, attentive and incredibly organized. I honestly wouldn't change a thing about our wedding weekend because LLI made it as stress free as possible. If there were issues, I never knew about them because they were handled professionally and quickly. I would absolutely recommend LLI Weddings!

Celita, our Sales Manager, was amazing and answered all of our questions. Our Catering Manager, Olivia, was also phenomenal. We were anxious the week of our wedding as the weather forecast was not in our favor, BUT Lanier staff assured us they would do everything in their power to keep the wedding outside. While it was not the sunny day we pictured, we were able to get married outside and it. was. perfect! The bridal party got ready in one of the villas. While the lighting wasn’t great, the room was very spacious and comfortable. If I had to do it all over again, I would 100% pick Lanier Islands!

e had to get married here. The staff were all so kind and helpful, we felt like we got the VIP treatment the whole time. They accommodated every request and answered every question so quickly. I had no stress going into the wedding day knowing Lanier Islands had me covered. They were so kind when we had a last-minute guest count change and made everything go so smoothly. They have such a good relationship with all the vendors which helped things go smoothly in ways I hadn't even thought of while I was planning. All of our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was & how amazing the food tasted. We were even surprised with champagne and chocolate in our room when we got back after the wedding! We had the absolute best experience with them and can't wait to go back to visit!

She and the intimate wedding ceremony location deserve a solid four stars. Though the staff that provided the banquet service for our reception was pleasant, the attention to detail and service was lacking. Several items were left off our banquet order which included dressing for our centerpieces (mirror tile and candles). We had the room until 12:30 AM. We had an open bar until 9:30 then a cash bar from that time on. Before the open bar ended, my husband ordered a double bourbon. The staff was so concerned about cleaning that they cleared our sweetheart table (including my husbands drink) after the open bar ended but well before we were to leave (around 10 PM). If he were to order another he would have had to pay cash for it. They also cleared my cake (the bride) and cake from other guests while we were dancing and before we had a chance to eat it. Our banquet order also indicated that we were to have a portion of the cheese and fruit plate boxed and set aside for us while we were taking our photos. It was not. When we (my coordinator, husband, and I) brought concerns to our banquet captain, her response was "I don't know" or flat out denial. She didn't make any attempts to make anything right. It was later explained to our coordinator that everyone was new. We had high hopes for impeccable service considering that we had only 24 people including my husband and I but it felt like we were rushed through the end of the evening.

e great also. The food that Lanier Islands prepared for the reception was delicious and the drinks were great. We had the reception at Peachtree Pointe and it was decorated beautifully by Design House of Flowers in Buford. We left the doors open and the outside views of the lake were great. The staff really took care of us over the long weekend too. We stayed at the resort and enjoyed Sydneys in the morning and Bullfrogs for lunch and dinner. We even had a great afterparty at Bullfrogs. We even went over to Margaritaville and had great drinks. It was a great weekend! I can't say enough about the wonderful staff and hotel.
