All the chefs were so friendly and we had just an awesome experience overall. Everyone is so kind and responsive, we would do it a million times over if we could. 10/10 recommend having your wedding here. All of our guests RAVED about our day yesterday at L’Auberge and said the sunset over looking the Pacific terrace during the reception was so breathtaking and stunning. We loved every minute of our wedding day and plan to return back for our anniversary every year!

Our guests, who mainly came from out of town, were all raving about L'Auberge. The views are incredible, they all loved how welcomed they felt, how amazing the lobby smelled (seriously a scent I'll never forget!), and how DELICIOUS all the food & drinks were! Our wedding weekend was truly perfect thanks to everyone at L'Auberge Del Mar, and I just wish I could relive the weekend again and again! Thank you thank you thank you L'Auberge Del Mar!

were very flatly told that the hotel could not accommodate our wedding because our guest count was not large enough. We asked if we could do it on a weekday and the reply was that we could only book this at the most 3 months in advance (which wouldn’t have worked because ours was a destination wedding). I completely understand if that is their policy. However, there is a way to treat potential customers to still make people feel valued and hears, especially when planning an important and emotional event like a wedding. They did not do this and just flatly told us no, without any more discussion on if there was any other option for us or what other couples holding smaller weddings have done? Overall, we just found Courtney to be cold and dismissive in the way she responded to us, and felt that this possibly was because we were having a smaller wedding and weren’t important enough or wouldn’t bring in enough revenue for the hotel to be given any attention? Not a great first impression.

There was never any doubt that our wedding would be a beautiful event knowing that it would take place at L'Auberge, but it was also the kindness and thoughtfulness both Courtney and Allyssa had that made it so much more special. They really will accommodate each individual's own vision. For me, it was important for people to feel relaxed (and give them time to take in those breathtaking ocean views in this incredibly beautiful and newly renovated boutique paradise of a hotel!) It is a beautiful venue with unparalleled individuals that make up the team at L'Auberge. I cannot wait to go back. Here's an extra: the food was out of this world. One thing that mattered to us more than anything was the food. Wow. We had guest after guest tell us how delicious the food was. That is a testament given that no one really remembers wedding food. L'Auberge is different - it was literally a Michelin-star menu.

The food was lovely and the banquet staff was so incredibly kind. The chef made a special vegan option for us as we had a few plant based folks in attendance and it did not disappoint! We asked to have sparklers on July 4th told ,"No" then see other Instagram pictures of weddings after ours with Sparklers, cold fire works, from our OWN SAME DJ!!!! she never told us we could start earlier she set the most awful timeline so the wedding was so rushed time wise from flipping the terrace to the dining, to the party. Unless you have hundreds of thousands of dollars to decorate the terrace for days ahead, or you don't have much decorating then it could work, but if you are in the above average range where you need time to make the venue look and feel amazing WITHOUT TIME, and your PICTURES being compromised, go somewhere else! Fortunately we pulled off the look we wanted, but getting to that point was a shear headache all along working with this woman. There is also no reason our vendors had to go eat dinner, they came prepared to work. That made our photographer miss out on shooting so many more family table shots, etc. Our final bill had other people's services on ours, plants that were promised to block the ugly traffic street view were given the morning of the wedding and were only one foot tall!!! Why promise to fix something, then on the day of not deliver what you promised?? How do you do that to people when it was discussed in great detail months ahead? How do you leave dead plants and dead grass on the property and need us to tell you to fix it a few weeks ahead of our wedding, after you spend 2.5 million on a remodel? How do you leave dead plants in the planters on the village view suite rooms on the 1500 square ft patio we obviously were using all weekend with our friends and family? How do you as the representative of L'auberge not even mention those rooms that share that large patio to us when you knew we were doing a 4th of July holiday weekend wedding from Friday thru Monday and needed to reserve those rooms and that patio? Luckily, I saw those rooms and patio myself on the website. Why did I have to ask you?Courtney is the worst unaccommodating wedding venue personnel I have ever worked with and this is not my first daughters wedding!!! The hotel is not as "bougie" as it seems when you are planning a beautiful wedding there. The hotel is mismanaged and people quitting left and right because of it. There are other ocean views in San Diego where I'm sure it would be better orchestrated without ugly traffic street view on the street side (in pictures unless you do something about it ahead) and managed on a higher level commensurate with the costs. Be aware!!! My friend whose daughter got married there 2 weeks after mine had the same terrible experience. So disappointing. Planning a wedding is an amazing time. Choosing a venue either makes it more or less stressful. There are no do overs...this hotel is like beauty and the beast....beautiful on the outside, ugly on the inside once you start planning.

My daughter’s wedding (although much smaller than originally planned) went off without a hitch 9/19/20. I give high praise to the entire staff at L’ Auberge for making us feel so special the entire time we were there. They knew our names which always makes one feel special. As soon as we stepped onto the property we both looked at each other and knew this was the place that my husband and I should get married. The event planner was not on site that day so we gave ourselves a tour, fell more in love, and ended up signing our contract less than two weeks later without ever taking an official tour of the property. The best thing about L’Auberge is its customer service. Courtney and her team went above and beyond throughout our entire experience. There was a lot of uncertainty during our planning as covid restrictions were changing on an almost daily basis. Although all parties came to the decision that we should downsize our numbers, none of the magic was lost. Courtney was an advocate for us as a couple and worked tirelessly to ensure that our day was as perfect as could be. Our wedding went off without a hitch (or at least no problems I was aware of) with Courtney and her team checking in throughout. Even my guests commented on how excellent the customer service was. The entire weekend was an experience, rather than just a singular event. If you want a wedding with beautiful ocean views, excellent food and drinks, and a team of people who genuinely care about you, then L’Auberge is your only pick.

stination wedding after getting engaged in San Diego and discovering L'Auberge! Best decision ever!! The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and the location/views could not be better! They have a lovely pool and it's just a short walk down to the beach directly from the hotel. It's the perfect size hotel for a destination wedding and the perfect place for guests to get to experience Del Mar! They have the best wedding package options and everyone at L'Auberge was so amazing to work with from the start. We were originally supposed to get married in June but had to postpone our wedding to October due to Covid. L'Auberge made the entire process as stress-free as possible and did everything they could to work with us during this crazy year to help make my dream wedding come true - and boy did they deliver! We worked mostly with Courtney, who is the absolute best!! Nothing but amazing things to say about her! She was so helpful and responsive throughout the entire process and did everything in her power to make sure our wedding could happen safely. They were flexible and patient with us, and always upfront about the policies/guidelines/etc. They allowed us to have our wedding as we planned it, without having to disinvite guests or change major aspects, all while following the safety protocols. They were also willing to give us a full refund if we chose to cancel given the circumstances, which was so huge!! We of course decided to move forward with the wedding, and we are so happy we did!! We had our ceremony upstairs on the Pacific Terrace, which is also where we had our reception. Everything was absolutely stunning and perfect! And the food was incredible!! Best Short Rib I've ever had (we got TONS of compliments on the food from all of our guests - everyone loved the Salmon and the Short Rib!). The service was impeccable and all of our guests had the best time. I wouldn't change a single thing and I will be recommending L'Auberge to anyone and everyone who is looking to get married in the San Diego/Del Mar area!

Most of our guests stayed at the hotel and loved it. Their wedding packages make planning so easy, especially figuring out the budget and staying on the budget. The food is phenomenal, the setting and views can't be beat and they welcome you like you are family. Truly was the wedding of all of our dreams in the perfect location. We miss L'Auberge already and can't wait to go back for a vacation. My favorite hotel ever!

Mar accommodated all of our wants, needs, and budget, very unlike the other venues that we visited. This venue provides the complete package and is well worth your while. Planning and having our wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic was far from easy, but Courtney and the staff at L’Auberge Del Mar were 100% there for us and were flexible with our changes. We felt so very grateful to be able to move forward with our different but absolutely beautiful wedding and outdoor mass, while our friends at other venues faced cancellations and heartbreak. The staff went out of their way to provide a safe, unique, and beautiful weekend that was so personal and special to us. Our guests were blown away by the friendliness and joy that they felt from the moment they arrived. We are forever grateful to Courtney for carrying out our plans beyond our wildest dreams and we will be back to celebrate for years to come.

Cal you know how hard it is to have good parking. They were so easy to work with about payments and accommodating our guests. Their food is out of this world & their service is honestly next to none. Every staff member was so helpful and more importantly happy to do so. Del Mar is a beautiful place and will always have a special place in my heart. L'auberge was also very flexible when we had to change our tasting visit, and shared lots of great options so that our dinner and hors d'oeuvres were delicious. While we felt there were some restrictions and errors with the room block logistics, they certainly were friendly and attentive hosts for our wedding weekend. All of our guests said they felt treated to a special California get-away, and L'Auberge gets credit for confidently and beautifully providing that setting for everyone.

Even when some uncooperative weather blew in, she seamlessly put our plan B into action, and the day was perfect!

d seen the hotel a few times while my Dad was temporarily living in La Quinta and knew I wanted to look at it from the moment we got engaged. The moment we stepped foot onto the property and met with the wedding coordinator at the time (no longer there, but the current coordinator, Robin, is great too!), we knew it was a done deal for us. We were absolutely in love with it. Both the property and the staff made it an easy decision. From a pricing stand point, it definitely is not inexpensive, however, now that our wedding is done, I can say it is worth every penny! Throughout the planning process, Robin and the rest of the staff were incredibly prompt in their communication with us. Any question I had was answered pretty much immediately. They were also very flexible with us in helping bring our wedding vision to life. They wanted to make sure our day was perfect for us. We had our tasting a few months prior to the wedding and what an amazing experience that was! The chef came and met with us and was so incredibly nice (the food was amazing!). Now for the wedding weekend! Absolutely magical. The hotel staff treated us and our guests like royalty the entire weekend. I truly can't say enough positive things about them. The ceremony at Seagrove Park was truly breathtaking. Our guests were blown away. We also loved that we were able to split the reception up into a few different locations at the property--cocktail hour on Sunset Terrace, dinner on the roof, and dancing in the ballroom. Every portion of the day was a dream come true and the staff and Robin at L'Auberge are a huge part of this. They worked with Bree (our planner from I Love You More Events) and all our vendors to execute such a perfect day. Also, I must mention how many compliments we got on the food! Wedding food can be tough when it is mass produced, but this honestly was exceptional. A lot of people told us it was the best wedding food they have ever had! I truly can't thank the hotel enough for being a part of the best weekend of our lives. We can't wait to go back there for a vacation in 2018!

We got a suite for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in - and that in and of itself was so much fun and so amazing!! We had two balconies that offered THE best views of Del Mar. Having our wedding here was the 2nd best decision we've ever made... the first... deciding to get married in the first place :) Robin and her team were BEYOND fantastic, making sure that every with was absolutely perfect throughout the planning process and, of course, the day of. I was so happy that I did not have to stress one bit the day of our wedding because I knew they would take care of everything. I was also so appreciative that Robin took the time to meet with me and my family the day before the wedding to walk through everything once more to ensure everything was good to go. Her positive and easy going attitude, combined with her professionalism and organization made for stress-free wedding planning, which is virtually unheard of! We also received tons of compliments on how helpful / customer-service oriented the L'Auberge staff was - especially the valet team - the definition of white glove service!! They even took the time to remember all the names of our wedding party! That made everyone feel really special. The banquet captain was also unbelievably helpful and attentive - making sure everything went smoothly and our guests were fed and happy! All in all, I can't recommend this venue highly enough. I am so thankful that we were able to have our special day in such a beautiful setting - getting ready in the suite while drinking coffee (and mimosas!) on the balcony, walking down the aisle of the pacific terrace to say "I Do" with the backdrop of the blue ocean, sipping a cocktail on the sunset terrace, enjoying our world class dinner under the market lights at sunset, dancing to wild music in the ballroom and sipping champagne by the waterfountain - all the while enjoying the views, sounds and salty sweet smell of the Pacific Ocean. Our first planner, Allie, was fantastic in helping us get started and pick out our vendors, and then when she took a different role, Catherine took over from her with no hiccups at all and made sure everything came together perfectly. 10/10, would do it again and recommend to anyone else wanting an oceanfront wedding in southern California.
