Laura is wonderful. Her calm and caring presence the morning of was exactly what I needed. Not to mention my makeup was exactly what I was looking for! Laura nailed the “soft glam” look and chose tones that complemented my coloring. I loved working with her!

Laura B and her team were an absolute joy to work with! They were very professional and worked really well with the chaos of our wedding day. For bridal hair and makeup Laura worked with me in our trials to make sure the final look would match what I was looking for (soft glam with an updo) and she really nailed it! I was not stressed at all about how I was going to look or how I was going to get ready with everything going on on our wedding day.

Laura is my go-to gal for any beauty-related needs from now on! She did such an incredible, amazing job at my wedding this past Saturday! As someone who uses a claw clip on a daily basis and calls it a day, I loved that after showing Laura some inspiration photos, she was able to create gorgeous hair and makeup looks that added her own flair to them. She has such a beautiful eye for detail and while getting ready, my cousins and bridesmaids kept commenting on how pretty my hairstyle was. I had two different hair ornaments that wanted to use, one for the ceremony and one for the reception, and Laura graciously stayed and helped exchange them out and helped secure my super poofy veil into my updo. Even with all the accidental pulling while walking around, the veil stayed perfectly in place. Laura is so patient and so kind and she really took her time to make me look and FEEL beautiful. While looking for wedding vendors, we wanted to find people who honored and celebrated diversity by showcasing people from all different walks of life in their portfolios. Asian eyes, in particular, can be very difficult to work with in the USA since many makeup artists do not always take the time to educate themselves on the different ways the eyes need to be contoured. But with Laura, she did such a beautiful job with my eye makeup, and my MIL and SIL, who she also did makeup on, looked stunning and their eyes really popped. She took such care with the base makeup and my skin was glowing, even with a violently brewing chin pimple. Her assistant Sean was lovely and did a great job with my bridesmaids' hairstyles! I really appreciated that they helped retouch my bridesmaids' curls on request as well! Truly, their hair looked so gorgeous! I feel so grateful that I have found a friend in Laura and truly, for my BIPOC brides, she has put in the effort to learn how to make sure she honors your features and showcases them in the most beautiful way! I would highly recommend hiring her for all your beauty needs!

I couldn't have asked for a better hair/makeup experience for my wedding. I really appreciated how quick she was to respond and how helpful she was in narrowing down the final decisions. Our hair/makeup trial day, and the few changes we made after that, made me feel really good about what was going to happen on the wedding day. The final look was absolutely perfect! Both hair and makeup held up so well and looked amazing all night! Lastly, she and her partner were just so enjoyable to work with! They definitely helped in making the afternoon/getting ready feel easy, relaxed and fun! I am so grateful for the whole experience!

I was looking for someone who has experience working with Asian features and also someone that specializes in a more natural look. I reached out to Laura after seeing her tagged photos from local photographer. It was easy to connect with her and communication was always prompt. She was able to squeeze in hair and makeup appointments into her schedule for a last minute elopement. Laura is very easy going and very easy to work with. She was able to recreate the looks I was looking for based on the inspiration photos and videos provided. Additionally, she checked in after step of the way to ensure everything’s still going well. It was such a pleasure working with her and I’m really glad I found her for the elopement! For sure will be reaching out to her again for future events!

Laura made my wedding day so incredibly special. I did two trials for my hair and she was amazing making sure my hair looked exactly how I wanted. Laura was so efficient, made sure to take her time but also stay on timeline. She was so kind to my family and made everyone so happy with their outcomes. Her two helpers, Maria and Astrid were also so talented. Would 100% recommend Laura to everyone.

Laura and her team were fantastic! Laura is very prompt when replying to emails and made the whole process a breeze. I did a hair and makeup trial prior to my wedding and she nailed it! She is very professional and also made sure I was happy with her work every step of the way. On the day of, she and her team did hair and makeup for my bridal party and everyone was extremely satisfied with their work. I felt absolutely beautiful and my hair and makeup lasted throughout the entire day. I would definitely recommend her for anyone looking for bridal hair and makeup (or for any other occasion 😊).

Laura is absolutely incredible! As a Taiwanese-American soon-to-be bride, I really wanted to find a hair and makeup artist who actively showcased work on people of color and who I could confidently entrust my hair and makeup to for my engagement photo session. As I was wearing a qipao, Laura worked with me to create a beautiful but simple updo that complimented my dress and hair accessory. For makeup, she color-matched me perfectly and her eye makeup complimented the shape of my eyes so well; I have never felt so beautiful in my life. I am so so excited to hire her for my wedding and for fellow brides of color in MN, cannot recommend her more! She is also so communicative (we stan someone who emails back promptly) and was great about talking me through all the different steps that go into her hair and makeup! I will update this review or write another after our wedding for those services, but for engagement sessions, she knocked mine out of the park!

Laura was such a joy to work with! She and her team did a phenomenal job and are masters of their craft. Laura styled my hair and applied my makeup, and I was blown away by the end result -- she made me feel more beautiful than I ever had before! Both Laura and her assistants listened to myself and my bridesmaids throughout the whole process, giving us expert advice and helping us to decide on styles that we were really happy with. I appreciated how Laura offered more natural styles and worked with me to find a look that felt "me" (I don't wear makeup or style my hair often). She is such a wonderful person and I can't recommend her enough!

I used Laurabbeauty for my wedding day hair & make-up. Overall, the services got the job done. I wasn’t blown away, though. Especially for the price I paid. After my trial, I was nervous about the makeup application. It didn’t seem like a good amount of coverage & didn’t leave me feeling super beautiful. So for the wedding day, I had her use my own foundation so I could feel my best. My bun ended up falling apart during the reception of my wedding. My hair accessories didn’t stay in after the ceremony because they weren’t secured enough. In terms of personality, Laura is more shy & reserved, so I wouldn’t recommend for someone who is in need of more guidance. Some of my bridesmaids were unhappy with how their hair & makeup turned out as well.

Laura kept all our wedding party in high spirits and did a phenomenal job. Would 10/10 recommend. Thanks Laura!

Laura and her team did an amazing job on our wedding day! I paid for my 6 girls to get their hair and makeup done, my mom's makeup, and my makeup and hair. Laura and her team made all of us look fantastic and I was so happy to have her at our venue instead of having to consider timing to and from a salon. They ran almost an hour ahead of schedule which, personally, I thought was great so that any other last minute hiccups could be taken care of if needed before the ceremony. We all also got small portions of our lip color to reapply as needed which was super helpful for pictures and after eating at the reception. Laura is super easy to contact and chat with and such a nice person. I will definitely be recommending her and her services to anyone I know who needs make up or hair services done!

As the tomboy bride (and procedural nurse) I rarely do my make-up and/or hair so I was so excited to have booked Laura. She was able to turn my Pinterest board into my dream hair and makeup look. She maintained my wish for having a natural makeup look and since I wear glasses, was able to make my eyes standout in the pictures. We did a romantic updo for my hair with a hair band...it made me feel like a princess. I danced a lot and my hair and makeup were great throughout the night. The other two women that helped did amazing work on the ladies in my bridal party and everyone was ready in time for pictures. Enough time was allotted but they all worked very efficiently. Highly recommend!!!

They did such an amazing job on my wedding makeup! Truly such beautiful work, and such a pleasure to be around!!! I would recommend to anyone for their special occasion. She was so accommodating and made me look like a forest fairy.

It was so amazing working with Laura for my wedding hair and makeup. She and her assistant were able to come to my apartment (and lug all their stuff up 5 flights of stairs!), and do hair and make-up for myself and 4 others! Laura is a very thoughtful beauty artist! She cares about what I want, and does everything perfectly. Laura did my makeup trial, my hair and makeup and MOG hair and makeup for my wedding. Laura has been my hairstylist for the past 4 years or so, I mentioned to her during my haircut that I got engaged and wondered if she had any friends that did bridal hair and makeup. Turned out she did and was such a breath of fresh air as I already had a great relationship with her and she understood my hair. The trial we did in Aug for my Oct wedding went flawless as she helped me get ready for my bridal shower and everyone there was so impressed which was great since it was my bridesmaid who also used her for my wedding. Laura and her team helped my seven bridesmaids and my Mom with hair and/or makeup and everyone looked awesome for the day. So thankful for Laura and her team and would 100000% recommend her to get ready for your big day.

I had the BEST experience with Laura and her team. From the beginning, she was so responsive to all my emails and answered any questions I had. I don’t know much about makeup, but Laura was so helpful in creating a look I loved during the trial run! She also was able to do my hair just by looking at a picture of what I wanted. For the wedding day, she created a schedule for me and my bridesmaids for hair and makeup and it was great. She’s super organized and so nice! Laura and her team were amazing and everyone’s hair and makeup looked amazing. One of her hair stylists Alyson was also super patient with our squirmy flower girl! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Laura is very professional, but also very personable and fun to talk with. We hired her to do our makeup, but she went above and beyond and touched up our hair as well.

Laura did my hair and makeup for my wedding in late September. I showed her a few general ideas I had and she easily came up with the perfect updo. Weather for outdoor weddings can be unpredictable and an added stressor for a bride; despite a little rain, I wasn’t at all worried because of Laura’s great attention to detail! Overall, she did such an amazing job on my hair, makeup and lashes.
