I scheduled an appointment here after a bridal show and I met with Mel for the first time almost exactly a year before my wedding. She was super friendly and did an amazing job trying to keep my guests on track and while I picked one the first time I felt it wasn't really the one and I was overwhelmed by the people I brought. Mel was fantastic and helped me schedule another day to visit and I picked the real deal! She kept checking in and provided updates at every step and was really just a superstar through it all! If I had to do it all again I would go there without hesitation!
Laura's was great. They had a lot of plus size options in store to try on and the woman who helped was super nice. Only complaint was the dress took so long to come in I had trouble finding someone to do the alterations on time. They do offer a payment plan which is nice.
I had my appointment with Laura's Bridal rescheduled THREE times - the last time with barely 24 hours notice! I canceled with them at that point, because if you can't manage to properly schedule a bride to try on dresses, there's no way I can trust you to get a dress shipped and fitted on time, and I do not need or want that kind of stress on top of planning a wedding.
They were great throughout the whole process! From dress selection, to tux rentals, to getting my dress ready for the big day, to dress preservation. Highly recommend!
Shae went above and beyond both helping me try on wedding dresses and helping us design tuxes. She was patient while I took dresses on and off half a dozen times, and always greeted us with a smile. The other staff were also helpful and friendly when we needed their assistance. The entire wedding party looked wonderful!
So helpful and down to earth! Very attentive
Horrible place to work with! I have never been so disgusted with how we were treated by the redhead when trying to decide on tuxes. She acted like it was a bother to be helping us. They also did not carry the color tux I wanted. She also couldn't find the color pink for vests and ties I wanted. We decided to go to Something Old Something New for tuxes because she was much more helpful and had the exact colors I wanted! My husbands pants were too big and she got new ones before the wedding.
I had to buy the bridesmaids dresses there due to a shopping time limit. The whole time my maid of honor was trying on dresses the sales associates were gossiping. Also many men came to return tuxes with complaints. They also stopped carrying the sash I wanted before it was ordered. Instead of calling me to tell me I need to order it before I can't they tried to sell me an uglier more expensive sash after the fact.
They still had only the grooms info for tuxes because we never followed through with them after we found the other shop. They decided to call the weekend before our wedding to see if we still needed the tux.
Do not go here there are better shops around! The shop in Port Henry is very worth the drive.
The staff at Laura's bridal is spectacular. I found my dress on my 1st visit. There was a problem with the bridesmaid dresses (vendor discontinued them) but Laura's bridal was able to help find a new dresses and did all the alterations for free. Just 2 days before the wedding they helped my sister in law find a dress and made the need alterations when her dress was lost by the airlines. highly recommend this store!!!
I love my dress I purchased from Laura's bridal!!! The staff was extremely helpful and kind!
I think Laura's was absolutely fantastic. I found the perfect wedding gown there, along with the bridesmaids dresses, and rented the tuxes from them. The only thing that went wrong was my father's jacket was the wrong color and the ring bearers shoes were the wrong size - but all was fixed by the day of the wedding so no sweat! Was probably not even Laura's fault that that happened. Great experience, would definitely recommend!
My wife and I couldn't have been more pleased with the service at Laura's Bridal! They were great through the whole process from my wife's gown, the bridesmaids and all my groomsmen! I would highly recommend them to anyone getting married!
I bought my dress from laura's Bridal it was the only bridal shop that I went to and spent a very short time in there consultant Justin ended up picking out the perfect dress for me which was nothing like the dress I had envisioned the only problem I had was having to call to hunt down my dress and my girls dresses
My sister got her dress at Laura's and I remember the service being awesome and the atmosphere relaxed and homey. It had been on my list for 3 years by the time I finally got my ring. Sure enough, we headed back there to look for my dress and sure enough, we found it! Our sales assistant was wonderful to work with. She was attentive and knowledgeable about the products and knew exactly what to have me try on based on my personality. It was a really great experience and a ton of fun. We went back and got our bridesmaids dresses there, too! And my mom also found her mother-of-the bride dress as well. One stop shop at this mom n' pops wedding shop.
Very nice people. We ordered our tuxes just a couple weeks before the wedding, but they were still ready in time. Gave me a deal because I bought my dress there.
From the moment I started looking for a wedding gown, the women at Lauras were wonderful! I am plus size and I was very apprehensive about trying on gowns. I never felt "plus size" when I was there. There were lots of gowns that I could try on and see how they looked. I visited many other bridal shops in the are including Davids Bridal ( who had TERRIBLE customer service) and only one compared to the experience that I had at Lauras. I ended up purchasing my dress after going back about 5 times and never once did any of the girls seem annoyed with me. They never pushed me to buy, and always allowed me to stay in the dresses as long as I wanted. I would highly reccomend them!!
I purchased my Maggie Sottero gown from Laura's Bridal and was so impressed with the service I received! All the girls were very friendly and knowledgeable. They recommended a fantastic seamstress! The shop is small enough to give amazing service, yet big enough to carry a great variety of dresses in a variety of prices. I love my gown, and I'm so happy I purchased it from Laura's.
The staff at Laura's Bridal were welcoming and detailed. The selection of dresses was so much more than I expected! I chose my dress on the first day of shopping but ordered a size smaller than suggested. To all the brides reading this: don't do it! After a lot of stress, dieting and alterations, it all worked out. I must have ordered my bridal party dresses too late, however, and they only arrived in the knick of time...so trust the staff, order the size they tell you and at the right time...and everything will be perfect!
my husband and I rented our tuxes from Lauras bridal and they had a good selection and worked with our wedding party that was mostly from out of town. The day of the wedding, since they didn't have my husband try it on, the shirt was missing buttons and had to switch shirts with one of the groomsmen. Then his button on his jacket fell off and we had to safety pin it.
I changed my mind at least 3 times with the wedding gown I wanted and the staff was wonderful with my indecisiveness! My Bridesmaids gowns came in right when they said they would and they all fit beautifully except for my maid of honor's dress. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I believe she was sized wrong, her dress was at least 3 sizes too big and when I pointed it out they didn't even bat an eye. I was also upset that there wasn't a bigger selection for plus-size brides.
Helped me dress my whole wedding party and were easy to work with. Helped my find my perfect dress and steamed it days before the wedding so it looked wonderful on the big day!
This was the first and only place I looked for a dress. I did not have a set idea in my mind what I wanted. I was in between lace/satin, I didn't know about beading, The only thing I was sure of was not puffy and needs a train. I really didn't give my consultant much to go on. I chose the 3rd dress she picked. It looked sooo exspensive I didn't think I could afford it....then I looked at the price tag and started crying. It was under my budget. My measurements were correct, the dress came in earlier than they estimated by a month!
They also had a matching veil I fell in love with and I got to take it home that day.
They offer tons of shoes and shoe dying, they reccomend seamstresses, and carry jewelry. My sister got her maid of honor dress there as well. Hers also fit perfect, came in early, and she got her shoes and got them dyed there as well. Everyone was professional, the prices are great, I highly reccomend them.
