We hired Lauren to be our month-of and day-of coordinator for our Water Works wedding on May 6th. Once we were a month out from our wedding day, Lauren spent HOURS on the phone and on Zoom calls with me going over every contract, proposal, and detail of our day. She helped me make some final changes and decisions as well. Lauren quickly became acquainted with our Cescaphe event planner onsite at Water Works, Lexi. They worked well together and had joint calls to ensure that we were all on the same page. She touched base with all of my vendors as well. Her extensive knowledge and expertise was critical in making our day run smoothly. She came up with a day-of timeline, hair and makeup schedule, every single detail regarding our on-site ceremony, timeline for the reception, photo list for the photography, trolley schedule, and so much more. Lauren and her team took care of every detail throughout the night from making sure that our flip flop baskets were being refilled to ensuring that our restroom baskets were moved from the cocktail hour to our reception space. At the end of the night, they took care of counting all of our cards, securing all of our gifts, and gave us a detailed checklist of where everything is and what we took from the reception such as our photobooth album, signature drinks signs, our ketubah, and everything else that was dropped off at the venue for the wedding day. For the longest time I was stubborn and wanted to "do it all myself", but hiring Lauren was our best decision. At the end of the night, I remember telling her and her assistants that, I really don't know how we would have done it without you guys today. Everything ran smoothly because of Lauren and her team. We read what felt like 100 reviews for different wedding planners before we found Lauren James Events (specifically, Jamie and Lori!). In retrospect: all that research really paid off.
We were in great hands with Jamie in the months leading up to our wedding, with no question too big or too small. As our date drew closer, we experienced a seamless transition to Lori, our equally skilled month-of planner.
Personable (immensely likable!). Knowledgeable. Responsive. Efficient. Smart. Perceptive. Detail-oriented. Forward-thinking. Lori is all of these things and more. She proved to be a steady infusion of calm on a chaotic day, and exactly what we needed to be able to relax and truly enjoy the day.
Lori’s depth of industry experience translates to an unmatched ability to work with a broad range of vendors, create and execute a timeline, corral what appears to be 1,000 moving pieces, take the unexpected in stride, and ensure a once-in-a-lifetime event goes off without a hitch.
If you’re looking for a seasoned team with recommendations for everything from where to take photos around the city (and the permits you’ll need to do so!) to how much to tip each vendor, LJ Events sits a cut above the rest. We are so grateful for their patience, flexibility, unflagging energy, and determination to make sure our wedding was everything we dreamed of. It was, with Lori and her assistant Alex keeping our sanity and senses of humor in check along the way.
Lastly, coming from someone who debated whether or not she needed a planner: it doesn’t matter how comprehensive your own Excel sheet is. Your planner will think of everything you didn’t know to think of and free you up to spend more time soaking it all in. LJ Events is the best in the business – we highly recommend their services!
When my husband and I got engaged, we interviewed a few wedding planners before making a decision on who to partner with for our big day. As an event & conference planner myself, this decision was very important to me. After meeting with Jamie, her expertise, knowledge, creativity, proactive nature, and detail-oriented approach set her apart from other planners. I was confident from day one of her ability to execute our dream wedding. With the pandemic, we navigated obstacles, finding a new date and rescheduling our contracted vendors. Jamie was there every step of the way, supporting us (sometimes even emotionally) and assisting with renegotiating contracts. During the planning process, I could go to Jamie for any question related to our wedding and ancillary wedding events ( i.e. the bridal shower, bachelorette, welcome party, rehearsal dinner, brunch, etc.). We would frequently schedule last-minute calls with Jamie for advice on something and she was very accommodating. We always felt like her main priority. It was clear that she was invested in our big day and making it perfect. She made a stressful process, a fun process for my family, husband and I! She kept my Mom and I organized and on track with our deadlines too to ensure we were accomplishing everything we envisioned. Her recommendations, guidance, preferred vendors, and ideas helped create our dream day. On our wedding day, I truly don’t know what we would have done without her! My husband, family and I said so many times on the wedding day, ‘what would we have done without Jamie?!’. Jamie worked incredibly hard to make our day special and ensure every detail was in place. The vendors and details that came together the day of our wedding were spectacular. Through Jamie’s guidance, we had the “A Team” of vendors for our day. The wedding was beyond my expectations - it was perfect! When I needed Jamie, she was by my side, making sure I was happy and everything was going smoothly. We had so much we wanted to do on our wedding day, and Jamie ensured that we were able to do all of it! There is not one thing I regret or would change about our wedding. We had the best day of our lives and were incredibly lucky to have Jamie in our corner. I am so appreciative that I had Jamie making everything happen for my husband and I exactly as we dreamed. It would be impossible to put into words how grateful we are that we chose LJ Events to help plan our wedding. LJ Events was incredible, and hiring them perhaps the best decision we made when it came to planning our wedding. Our wedding date changed three times over the course of several years due to the pandemic, and Lauren was with us every step of the way. Lauren helped us bring our vision to life and was an incredible advocate in terms of helping us select, negotiate with, and manage contact with different vendors. We both had demanding work lives from the beginning of the planning process until the wedding day; there is no way that we could have created our incredible day without Lauren. No question or request was too small or too difficult for Lauren to accommodate. Her attention to detail is unparalleled and stayed consistent in the 3+ years we worked together. What's more, the actual wedding weekend that we planned with Lauren turned out phenomenally.

Our wedding day would not have been possible without Lauren James Events, specifically Jamie. Jamie met with us multiple times before the wedding to discuss how the whole day would plan out, and provided suggestions and support when figuring out all of the vendor coordination for our special day. She was always very responsive over emails and helped keep us organized with her amazing checklist, photo list, and day-of timeline. Jamie also accompanied us to all of our photo locations, and along with her assistant Jenna, helped keep us warm by carrying my blanket and hand warmers, ready to hand them to me at a moment's notice! The best decision my husband and I made throughout the entire wedding planning process was hiring LJ Events as our full service wedding planner. From the start Jamie was incredibly helpful and diligent in contacting all of the venues and vendors we were interested in. With her knowledge and expertise in the industry we were able to seamlessly plan our May 2020 wedding. As it would turn out...that wedding did not happen due to Covid-19 and Jamie, without hesitation, went on to help us replan our wedding 3 more times with multiple venue changes. With her impressive coordination and communication skills we were able to secure almost all of our vendors for our new date(s) and venue(s). We can’t thank her enough for her invaluable advice and guidance during that time of immense uncertainty. In the end we wound up with two amazing wedding days that wouldn’t have been possible without her. On both the day of the micro wedding AND the larger wedding reception my husband, myself and our families did not have one thing to worry about because Jamie had everything so organized and well thought out. We cannot thank Jamie enough for all of the hard work she put in over the 2.5 years that we were lucky enough to work with her. We truly consider Jamie a friend and would recommend her and LJ Events to anyone without hesitation!
Lauren and Jamie are truly outstanding professionals to work with in all aspects of wedding planning. I hired them because one of my best friends was one of the most organized and best brides that I had ever seen on her wedding day, and she worked closely with LJ Events. I used their full services at the time of the beginning of the wedding process, and they were both with me throughout the entire process. Lauren truly became a friend- someone who understood my wishes, advocated for the aesthetic that I was hoping for, and she truly found a way to meet all needs that I had including my budget. On my wedding day, I felt as though my friend was celebrating my special day with me. I was calm and at ease that I was truly in the best hands, and my wedding day was the best day of my life because of the team that LJ Events helped me comprise. The primary compliment from all guests was that it was the most seamless wedding that they had ever seen. I would recommend them to every bride; they are truly outstanding.
Working with Jamie to plan our wedding was probably the best decision we made. She made the process so easy and took so much work off of our plates. She was able to recommend vendors, arrange meetings and relayed anything we wanted done to our vendors - even arranged our meetings with vendors. Jamie payed attention to every detail and was on top of everything! When planning our wedding with her I felt like I could ask her anything about the wedding process, not just wedding detail questions. She was super responsive and always found an answer or way to get the things done that we wanted done. She was truly the best!
Finding the right wedding planner was our first, and arguably most important, decision when we started planning our wedding. We asked around for recommendations and kept hearing the name, Lauren James Events, and we're so glad we did! When we met with Jamie from LJE, we felt easy chemistry and were immediately impressed with LJE's expertise and full-service offerings, and post-meeting, their responsiveness and attention to detail. When we signed on, we didn't quite realize just how *full service* LJE is. We had a large, backyard wedding, which requires A LOT of planning. Over the course of the year, LJE managed over a dozen vendors and helped us navigate countless decisions from the tiniest details (e.g., string light placement) to the biggest decisions (e.g., our rain plan). LJE kept us on track throughout the year-long planning process and, most importantly, on our actual wedding day. It's not hyperbole when I say our wedding was perfectly executed thanks to LJE. We wouldn't change a thing about our wedding day. Working with LJE was the best decision we made throughout the entire wedding planning process... besides our decision to get married in the first place :) Thank you, Jamie and the whole LJE team!!
Jamie Nadeau: Simply The Best. Our daughter's wedding was absolutely perfect and the reason is that we were lucky enough to find Jamie to help us coordinate it all. While the bride and groom live in Philly, both sets of parents are out of town, so this was a destination wedding for us and most of the guests. Thereby we knew we'd need very experienced "boots on the ground" to pull off the caliber of wedding we envisioned. We figured the best place to get verifiable wedding planner recommendations was to ask wedding coordinators at the venues toured: Lauren James Entertainment was the first name suggested by most, and after our initial telephone conversation it was easy to see why. Jamie is delightful; knowledgeable, professional, experienced, well-connected, warm, and easy to talk to. Honestly, she left no stone unturned. Although our wedding was a year and a half out when we hired her, and in the beginning she had clients with more pressing needs than ours, we were always made to feel that we were a priority. Our wedding was on a holiday weekend and Jamie helped us to secure some of the city's most highly sought vendors promptly so we wouldn't be closed out. From the get-go, Jamie worked with us in establishing and organizing our parameters - number of guests, style of reception, and met with the bride and groom to talk about their vision and expectations. She listened so well that her recommendations always were spot on. She created meeting and planning timelines with our vendors, and maintained a meticulous spreadsheet of expenditures. She attended vendor meetings along with us, taking scrupulous notes, and worked with us to negotiate contracts. She advised us well as to where we should be spending money and did not hesitate to steer us away from the things we didn't need. She established wedding blocks at the most central hotels for out of town guests and kept track of the bookings, so we knew who was staying where. She also assisted in planning the other events for the wedding weekend. In the week leading up to the wedding we were talking several times a day to tweak additions, guest cancellations and ensure that everything we expected came to fruition. She produced welcome bags for out of town guests and delivered them to the hotels. She surprised the bride and groom by having their room upgraded to a phenomenal suite. When a few glitches arose that week (as they inevitably will), she resolved them and only afterward told us so we didn't have to stress over details. On the wedding day, Jamie never left our side - arriving in the bridal suite beginning early morning with the bridesmaids, orchestrating our hair and makeup people, the photographer and videographer, lunch delivery for everyone, rode the wedding trolley with the bridal party to the bride and groom's first look and off-site photo sessions, at the venue for formal photos, managed the catering staff and band so that the timing of everything ran smoothly. We actually had to beg her to take a break and eat dinner (I still don't think she ever did: we owe you dinner, Jamie!) . Throughout our entire process, she never once lost her cool and as a result, the bride and groom and their parents were able to relax and completely enjoy our family's special day, stress-free. Weddings are highly emotional occasions, but thanks to Jamie the only emotions we experienced were total elation and tears --of joy. It is truly money well spent, and we cannot thank her enough.
This is a hard review for me to write, because there is so much to say about how incredible Jamie and her team were throughout the entire wedding planning process. Where to begin...
When you start working with Lauren James they make sure that they understand your vision and your vibe. They take into consideration what you say and feel and also try to accommodate the expectations of your parents and your guests. They can see the big picture, even if you can't.
Jamie and her team are also connected throughout the entire Philadelphia area so they only introduce you to the best vendors to work with and believe me when I say they will assemble an all-star team for you! Our band, our venue, our photographer, our flowers and invitations were all amazing and that is thanks to Jamie coordinating with all of them.
Jamie and her team are also hands on from day 1 of planning, which I appreciated because I had so many questions throughout the year of planning the Wedding. And she answered each of my questions with patience and grace via email, phone and text. Jamie and Lauren James are always there for you and are happy to provided peace of mind constantly.
The Wedding Weekend would not have happened without Jamie and the Lauren James team. They were there throughout Friday and Saturday and even assisted on Sunday. Jamie and her team were there to wrangle family members, set up photo opportunities, hold my bouquet, and much, much more. Not to mention that their attention to detail and enthusiasm made the Weekend special.
I cannot imagine planning my Wedding without Jamie and I cannot imagine my Wedding Weekend going so smoothly without Jamie and her team. Lauren James is incredible and every bride should use their services!
The best decision I have ever made (aside from saying yes to my husband) was choosing work with Lauren James Events as our wedding planners. I am a very detail oriented person and live for a good to do list but we knew we needed a wedding planner from day one and so it was a priority to seek out the best. LJ Events came highly recommended and exceeded our expectations. From the first day we met both Jamie and Lauren- it was like planning with my best friends- they completely understood our vision for our wedding. I knew we would be a perfect fit. Within hours we had signed our contract and began working with Jamie. We explained what we were looking for, for our wedding and Jamie quickly provided us a list of recommendations for vendors tailored to our taste and budget. She was beyond helpful with setting up appointments, listening to our pro and con lists and assisting us with finding who would be the perfect fit. Jamie's responsiveness (seriously, minutes), professionalism and attention to detail constantly amazed and impressed me. Jamie attended many of our vendor meetings and helped us to make the right decisions- to see what we wanted and needed and to help clarify our vision when it sometimes blurred. As the wedding got closer, Jamie and I would meet to discuss any outstanding items on our fluid to do lists and to just relieve the stress that comes with wedding planning- I would leave these meetings feeling like I had just come from an afternoon with a friend (which she now is) and with all of my to-do's checked off. Not only were LJ Events a key part of our wedding planning, I would be remiss to fail to mention the day of. My husband had been side-planning with Jamie for months to give me gifts each hour of the getting ready day. Jamie handled that so seamlessly on top of making me the calmest, happiest bride there has ever been. From the time Jamie and Lauren arrived I knew I was putting the best day of my life in the most capable hands. I did not worry about anything (and I did not need to)- everything was taken care of and if anything came up, I still do not know about it. We are so lucky to have worked with LJ Events for our wedding and could not recommend them more!!
We strongly recommend Lauren James Events to help you plan your wedding. Lauren is an amazing wedding planner and also an amazing person. She helped us throughout the wedding process and came with us to various floral design meetings and joined us on some vendor calls. Lauren handled all the nitty gritty parts of wedding planning such as vendor communications etc. She answered all of our questions and was very helpful, friendly, and happy. The day of Lauren and Jamie made the wedding day go by seamlessly!! I was not stressed at all. They were efficient, down to business while also being positive and happy and making the day fun. Over the past year+ I worked with Jamie and LJ Events to plan my dream wedding. From our very first meeting, Jamie was professional, accommodating, responsive, and quickly became an integral part of our planning process. Jamie made it very easy (and fun!) for me and my mom to find the best vendors, stay organized, create the "vibe" (decorations, vendors, etc.) I was looking for, and not feel overwhelmed throughout the process, even though we had the added challenge of planning the wedding from across the country. She regularly communicated with us (and was extremely quick to respond when we reached out to her via text, email, or phone call) and our vendors to make sure we were all on track and had all of our questions answered ahead of schedule. Once the wedding weekend had arrived, we were able to totally enjoy the festivities knowing that Jamie and Lauren were there to make sure that everything ran smoothly. Both Jamie and Lauren helped make the wedding weekend the best ever for my family and guests - we couldn't have done it without them! Hopefully there will be another event in the near future for us to work with LJ Events!
My husband and I would recommend Lauren James events to ANYONE who is planning their fairytale wedding, Words cannot adequately convey the sentiment we have for the effort, professionalism, enthusiasm, and sheer perfection of our wedding day, which was absolutely the result of Jamie Nadeau's expertise and planning. we spent 11 months planning and the coordination was superb, with attention paid to the smallest of detail. The rehearsal dinner, bridesmaid details, welcome bags, ceremony, and of course, reception, were all exactly as we hoped and we did not spend one moment of our wedding day wondering about any detail or vendor. Not only was our day absolutely perfect, we continue to receive emails and calls from guests who say it was the best wedding they have ever attended. We agree!
I had the BEST experience working with Lauren James Events. From the very first day working with them to now, two weeks after the wedding, they have been amazing! I personally was very overwhelmed by the idea of the wedding planning process, but thanks to Lauren and Jamie, it could not have been a more enjoyable or stress free experience. Their attention to detail, their responsiveness, their network of vendors and contacts are incredible. The months leading up to the wedding were very organized and manageable due to their structured and reasonable approach. The day of our wedding was just perfect and I did not have a worry in the world the entire day! Their execution was flawless – not to mention, they were a joy to work with throughout. Lauren and Jamie responded to my millions of emails no matter what silly questions I had, attended all of our vendor meetings, and provided invaluable perspective and experience to each aspect of the planning process. Lauren James Events was the best wedding coordinator we could have ever asked for!! We worked mostly with Lauren, and she was absolutely incredible. She was extremely responsive, friendly, organized, and professional throughout the entire wedding process. In the month before our wedding, Lauren took over with the planning details and was truly a lifesaver. She went above and beyond in every way. Her organization, expertise, and attention to detail kept us on track and helped make our wedding day perfect. I would highly recommend using Lauren James Events . Booking them for wedding coordination is one of the best (and easiest!) wedding planning decisions you will make!!
Lauren was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was responsive and helpful every step of the way during our planning process and was an incredible asset during the wedding weekend itself! I couldn't recommend Lauren James events more for your event planning needs. We are two weeks post-wedding and people are still constantly telling us "you had the best wedding ever." Their attention to detail and professionalism is amazing, but more than that they genuinely want to make your day the best they can. We choose to use their full-service package and Jamie was with us every step of the way. From day one she understood the vision I had for my wedding and she made it happen. She even took time on a weekend vacation to DC (where we live) to go to a vendor appointment with us. She balanced family dynamics and personalities flawlessly. Her vendor recommendations were great--we were so pleased with our entire team and her coordination among many, many people was amazing. As the bride, everyone tells you to be prepared for something to go wrong with your wedding and "don't sweat the small stuff", but I can honestly say I think everything went off without a hitch and we owe that largely to Jamie. I actually miss my daily emails with her (and I think most of my immediate family misses her too!).
When I first told my mother that we were hiring a Wedding Planner, she was very skeptical; believing that we could handle ourselves all the preparations. She will now admit she could not have been more wrong. From the moment we hired Jamie and she started working with us until the very end of our spectacular day, I am convinced that she and her team were instrumental in almost every aspect of the planning and execution.
There were many things that we had no clue about and many more she helped steer the wedding ship away from potential danger or outright disaster. All of the events on September 16 went off flawlessly because of the meticulous advance planning and her ability to calmly and quickly deal with any issue that, real or perceived, threatened to throw things off at the church, Memorial Hall, and in between.
Things could not have gone any better from our perspective. The irrefutable proof occurred during and after the wedding in the overwhelming number of glowing comments we received from our guests and as captured in the photos everyone in attendance has shared. Words will never be able to convey our profound thanks to Jamie and her team on doing such a wonderful job and know that her personality and professionalism added immeasurably to a perfect day!

From the very first time I met Lauren and Jamie from Lauren James Events, I knew that they would be the perfect fit for our wedding day. They were professional, extremely responsive and overall a pleasure to work with. Throughout the entire wedding process, I worked with Lauren, and she could not have been more helpful. She was so well organized that I literally had nothing to worry about, and when I did start to worry about certain things coming together, she assured me that everything would be perfect...and IT WAS! Even with a unexpected last minute change a few days before our wedding, she did not even bat an eye, handled the situation flawlessly and without any hesitation. On the day of the wedding, Lauren was AMAZING! She was there for me and my now husband and made sure everything we discussed leading up to that day was taken care of. My vision came to life so much because of her and her exceptional communication skills with so many of my vendors. I am beyond grateful for Lauren James Events and could not have imagined our day without them!
Our experience planning our wedding with Jamie and Lauren was phenomenal. These ladies truly care about their clients' special day, and do everything in their power to ensure that every detail is carefully tended to at each step in the planning process! My husband and I were planning our wedding during a particularly busy and stressful year in our lives, and Jamie and Lauren turned an otherwise daunting task into an exceptionally organized, smooth and enjoyable journey. Jamie and Lauren have a solid understanding of the wedding industry in Philly and the surrounding area, and had a wealth of knowledge about local vendors to share in order to put together the perfect wedding team for us. Now that the event is over, we miss communicating with them every day! Their professionalism is unwavering, yet they have a natural ability to connect with clients in a way that enabled them to anticipate my thoughts and requests, and many times took care of things well before I even thought to ask them to do so - they really have a knack for understanding a bride and groom's style and expectations, and they will go above and beyond in bringing to life your vision for your wedding!
People always say a wedding planner is worth the money, and after just having a wedding, I couldn’t agree more!
My venue came with a day of event coordinator, who was fantastic, but the services Jamie and Lauren provided were above and beyond what a venue coordinator can do for you. They are a wealth of information. I emailed constantly with random questions of which were answered promptly and concisely. It is refreshing to work with people who love what they do. They are energetic, fun, organized and calming all at once.
It was clear the focus was on making sure the day was everything I wanted it to be. Because of Lauren and Jamie I truly enjoyed every second of my own wedding. I never worried about making sure everyone was in the right place, if the flowers arrived on time, where the photographer was, etc. If anything went wrong, I never knew about.
For example, I made welcome letters for the hotels to hand out to guests. A handful of guests made reservations at hotels outside of our recommended hotel block. Lauren personally delivered welcome letters to other hotels in the city the day prior to the wedding to make sure all guests were informed. These small tasks repeated themselves and make such a huge impact.
It was a fortunate accident that I stumbled upon LJ events and I couldn’t have been happier. Compared to other planners in the business they are very well priced. Everyone felt taken care of and I knew it was going to be the best day ever. Weddings are expensive this is the best money you’ll spend on the wedding!
Lauren James Events is the best investment you could make for your wedding. Lauren was one of the first calls I made when I got engaged. Lauren and Jamie promptly respond to all calls and questions, regardless of how ridiculous the question may be. They go above and beyond and think of every possible detail, which allows you to plan and enjoy without added stress. When it came to the day of our wedding, Lauren planned every detail and the whole day ran seamlessly. I would highly recommend them, and we will use Lauren James Events for any future events that we plan!
We are so thankful that we hired Lauren James Events for our wedding. We worked with Jamie and she is not only a great person but she is AWESOME at her job. My husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our wedding day instead of coordinating details the whole time. It was WORTH every penny and I highly recommend them!
I was lucky to have another event planner refer me to Lauren James Events!! I worked mostly with Jamie for the three months leading up to our daughter's wedding and Lauren joined Jamie for rehearsal through the last, last, last dance. Jamie was available anytime and for any reason--text, email, phone calls! She guided me to the best hair and make up artist, helped my husband with guest transportation and vendor tips, was in contact with all vendors coordinating time lines and kept me calm!! Because Jamie and Lauren managed every detail, in a most discreet manner, I was able to enjoy my daughter's wedding. We highly recommend Lauren James Events.
I wasn't going to use a wedding planner because I'm extremely organized and knew exactly what I wanted... But I am SO happy I hired Lauren and Jamie. Best decision ever. There are so many loose ends in the 2 months leading up to your wedding, and LJ Events jumped in and took so much off my plate. They were willing to do absolutely anything to make my day perfect, and to take away any stress I had leading up to it. I'm obsessed with these girls and highly recommend hiring them for any event you may have.
I worked with Jamie for our wedding on March 18th, 2017 and have nothing but appreciate and love for her! I truly don't think I could have done it all without her. She was so organized and professional throughout the entire process. She helped me stay on top of payments, communication and ideas. She was able to make introductions to various vendors and helped me get responses from some when I couldn't. My family and bridal party was so impressed with how easy Jamie & her team made the wedding day flow. Her timeline and thoroughness of each detail was outstanding. Working with Jamie was the best decision I made when it came to hiring any vendors. There is no doubt in my mind she is the wedding planner you want!
"My daughter was married March 11, 2017, at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, and we contracted with Lauren James events for our event planners. My contact was Jamie, and I cannot begin to tell you how invaluable she was to us. I have never met anyone who attended to detail so efficiently. Every deadline that needed to be met was managed by her, and she was incredibly pleasant and good humored throughout the process. There was never a moment when she appeared rushed, and she had a way of making you feel as if you were her only client, even though that is far from the truth. Her professionalism, class, and generosity of spirit were indispensable to us, and despite the inevitable tensions along the road, she remained calm and measured herself. She even delivered a wheelchair to the Double Tree for my elderly mother, after we discovered we needed another one at the last moment.
She was our anchor, organizer, and confidant throughout the months leading to the wedding, and I can honestly say, that I will miss speaking to her.
The night of the wedding, we had her partner, Lauren with us, and she was a godsend as well.

Lauren James Events lived up to every expectation and beyond. They made the wedding planning process a breeze, paying attention to every detail so that the day of the wedding was completely dedicated to having fun and enjoying every moment. Leading up to the event they were well prepared, highly organized, tuned into our vision, flexible with meeting times and locations which was a must given my and my grooms busy schedules, diplomatic with parents and helpful with finding vendors and services that fit into our budget. We had a quick turnaround time between getting engaged and our wedding date and Lauren James Events made sure we kept on pace to have everything come together in time. Since they have many years of experience with wedding planning in the Philadelphia area, they are extremely knowledgable about the different vendors in the area and already had great relationships with the hotel we used, our photographer and venue, and suggested hair and makeup artists that were affordable and also extremely talented. They were well versed in the modern etiquette of wedding planning, everything from how to address escort cards to how many people to sit at a table. I never felt rushed or uncomfortable, they are extremely responsive to emails and phone calls, and the day of the wedding went so smoothly and effortlessly. They made sure we kept on pace so that everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there, they organized babysitting services for my niece, sewed on my dad's tuxedo button when it fell off, and never bothered me with unnecessary details. I highly recommend them, not just for their professional services but also for their personal touches and the warmth they bring to wedding planning.
Lauren and Jamie are amazing! Our wedding was incredible and everything went so smoothly because of them. I had zero stress the day of the wedding because they took care of everything and my husband and I truly had the best day of our lives. Even though we just had them as day of wedding planners, they were so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. Thank you to Lauren James Events for planning Samantha and Jonathan's dream wedding. Their vision down to every last detail created the newlyweds fairytale wedding. As the mother of the bride I could not have done it without them. Their expertise and enthusiasm made the whole experience wonderful. Every detail was covered to perfection. It was such a wonderful, stress free evening because of them.
Jamie was hired about two months before our wedding as our day-of planner and she was absolutely incredible. Everything went off seamlessly and she really reduced my stress level! I couldn't imagine getting through that last month of planning without her. I couldn't recommend Lauren James events more highly. They were so professional, organized and most importantly patient with me and very sweet!
amie and Lauren were the BEST event planners ever! Our wedding day would not have gone as smoothly without them. They are lifesavers who helped us plan every detail down to the last minute. With their wonderful planning we actually got to mingle at our cocktail hour and enjoy food at our dinner. They made sure we had everything we wanted during the reception and before heading to the church they made sure we were staying on time to get to the ceremony on time. Before our wedding even began, they helped us stay on task during the planning process, making sure all vendors, my parents, and ourselves knew exactly what needed to be done and what decisions needed to be made. Without them some of the small details that made our wedding over the top would have been overlooked and not have happened (having flip flops for people when dancing, having sand dollars at each seat, and having sunscreen in our welcome bags). We miss their daily emails and know if we ever have another event that involves a lot of planning we will be sure to hire Lauren and Jamie. If you are planning a wedding and need every detail to be perfect, Jamie and Lauren won’Ht leave you disappointed. They go above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly and to make sure everyone is happy. We were sad to see our night end because it meant our planning time with them was over.
Lauren and Jamie are THE BEST. I got married in Philadelphia where I grew up, but I'm currently living in Los Angeles. Both of them were by my side from day one of meeting and helped make long-distance wedding planning not intimidating at all and helped make the whole experience so organized and on schedule. They were BEYOND accommodating to my trips home and made sure to make time for me (even when it was during the holidays or just for a Friday and Saturday). They really made me feel like their biggest priority. Both of them couldn't have been more responsive over email and phone, and went above and beyond in their thoughtful responses. I am extremely indecisive on many parts of the planning process and they both steered me in all the right directions and I never felt like I was going against my instincts or preferences. The day of my wedding went absolutely perfectly thanks to these two absolute pros. They have fantastic relationships so many vendors, and they understand and act on the nitty gritty of the nitty gritty and do so VERY quickly, all the while being super fun and polite. These ladies were two of my favorite people to work with throughout the whole process and even though the wedding is over I consider them friends and true inspiration! P.S. they even participated in a hilarious family tradition, which was AWESOME.
Wow - words can't even begin to express what an amazing experience I had with LJ events. I had hired Lauren and Jamie for "day of" services. From beginning to end, the interactions were professional, yet innovative and exciting! Wedding planning is a great time in your life, but can also be a bit hectic and stressful. After I hired LJ events for my wedding, I felt immediate relief just knowing that they would be there on my wedding day to ensure that everything was executed according to plan (and I mean everything!). And of course, the day was perfect -- from getting ready, to pictures, ceremony and reception -- they were there every step of the way. Not to mention that they are just generally great to be around. Their experience and skillset can't be matched - my only regret was not hiring them as full service.
We LOVED working with Jamie and Lauren (and so did everyone who interacted with them, including our friends and family). Jamie and Lauren were attentive to every detail of our wedding, responsive to every phone call, email and question (no matter how annoying we might have been leading up to the wedding), consummate professionals and cared deeply about our wedding day. It sounds so simple but our words really can't do justice to just how amazing they both were and how helpful they were doing our entire planning process. They helped us stay organized leading up to the wedding, took care of every detail on the wedding day itself (even coordinating with our driver on the fly to take the best route possible to the wedding venue when we hit unexpected traffic), and allowed the entire ceremony and reception to flow so flawlessly there wasn't a single moment where anything was out of place or seemed amiss. What we think also made them special is that they both have great personalities that made us feel so comfortable with them during the entire day as if we had known them for years, not just for the time leading up to the wedding. We'll never forget everything they did for our wedding, making our day so special for us. There is nobody else in the world we would have wanted to plan our wedding. They really deserve 10 stars, not just 5, because they went above and beyond for us.
Lauren & Jamie were beyond amazing! I began working with them one year prior to my wedding which was extremely helpful. They are extremely professional, responsive, supportive and guide you in the right direction while keeping your vision at the same time. I can't imagine not having them present on the day of our wedding. All the behind the scene things they do make the whole day very smooth and easy as a bride and groom! It was so nice not worry about all the little details on our wedding day as I knew they had everything under control :) We are so lucky to have had them recommended to us!

Jamie and Laurie are the absolute greatest event planners that I can imagine and I run lots of very large business events a year, so have a basis of comparison. They have the expertise, vendor knowledge, sophistication and taste to help you plan a truly beautiful event, that takes into account the bride and groom's vision, and skillfully accommodates others that may be involved with the planning (such as interfering moms like me). They are extraordinarily detail oriented--and there are hundreds of details! They were in constant communication as needed, and kept track of decisions that needed to be made, invoices, etc. Best of all, they were such a treat to work with: they were always gracious and fun, and their confidence and knowledge made decision-making painless. My daughter's wedding was spectacular and I give them a great deal of credit in the design and execution of this fabulous day. Of all the bills we paid for the wedding, this was the one that was positively the best value for the services rendered. I can simply not find a single thing to criticize, they are the absolute best!
We couldn't have planned our wedding without Lauren and Jamie! They made the stress of wedding planning disappear! They were always a phone call away (early morning and late at night they were there!) They made the planning process so smooth and the day of the wedding they handled so many stressful situations that I didn't even know accrued until weeks after the wedding when friends told me. They went above and beyond wedding planner duties, I swear they should add "therapist" to their titles! I couldn't imagine trusting anyone else to be there for me and my husband during such a special time, they are family now :)
Lauren and Jamie were a pleasure to work with throughout the entire planning process. I was planning a wedding in Philadelphia from 1,000 miles away in Nashville, and Lauren and Jamie did a wonderful job of setting up phone calls to talk details and offering thoughtful and helpful suggestions!
