Laurie was a pleasure to work with. She took the guess work out of our planning. Specially since we had never hired a harpist. Her great communication, professional insights and expansive music selection helped make our wedding an event that people are still talking about today. Laurie did a beautiful job playing the harp for my daughter’s wedding. She was so easy to work with and accommodating on their music choices! She even played songs she had to learn especially for them! It made the wedding so special. So many people commented on how beautiful it was to have the harp played during the ceremony. Laurie Leigh was the harpist at my son’s wedding over Memorial weekend. She played during the ceremony as they walked down the aisle and also during the reception. Laurie is so talented and customizes the music requests to the bride and groom. She is able to take current songs that are meaningful to the couple and recreate them with the harp. Her music adds such elegance to the event. She uses an amplifier so that everyone can easily hear her plunking the strings. I highly recommend hiring Laurie for your special event - everyone will remember how lovely the music was!

I cannot say enough good things about Laurie Leigh and her incredible harp skills. I mean....first and foremost she is amazingly talented and her beautiful music was the PERFECT addition to our wedding ceremony. But beyond that she was also just such a pleasure to work with. She was kind and compassionate and was so congratulatory and you could tell she genuinely wanted to be a part of our special day and she wanted to do whatever she could to ensure it was unique to us and what we wanted. To that end, she bared with my numerous emails and inquiries about this and that song and she provided perfect recommendations and even took on a new song for us that she now has included in her overall repertoire. Laurie is an absolute GEM! She was able to play at our wedding! She played when the guests came in, when we had the grand march, and the receiving line. She even played quietly through the ceremony so its not quiet, but just beautiful ambient music. She was super communicative, very friendly, and wanted us to hear her play before we made our final decision and let us hear her play at a craft show. I couldnt say no. Her smile is radiating and her professionalism is outstanding. She also helped us figure out what songs to play and even our grand march song. She played through the phone and made sure I liked it all. Loved working with her.

Her mastery of her instrument is immediately apparent from her lengthy list of known songs, her willingness to play them on the spot to help us choose our playlist, and her ability to learn any requested song that we would like to be included. When booking wedding vendors, one of the most important traits is flexibility. Laurie demonstrated this many times and has the ability to lengthen and shorten songs as she is performing to seamlessly follow the flow of the wedding. On top of all of this, Laurie is simply a treat to interact with. We absolutely loved Laurie Leigh! She was very professional and communicated with us plenty before our big day. She eased all our nerves about it being a garden wedding and handle the day of events tremendously. From planning to originate some classics to learning a new song for our first dance, she was great to work with. The day of she adapted to all our uncertainties (weather) and gave wonderful tips to changing our timeline/plans for outdoor cocktail hour. She was super nice to our little boys with showing them her harp and worked with the other vendors (dj and photography) for our first dance moved inside. I would highly recommend and would love to repeat that day with her again a part of it!

Laurie was beyond-the-charts excellent at our Wedding, she truly made our vision come true! From excellent communication from the beginning, scheduling a call to get an idea of what we’d like for our day, to providing music choices to help us select songs, and executing perfection during our ceremony and reception was just a couple things that made our experience so great! She was honestly the easiest vendor for us to book. She has her own music and also offered to learn any songs that she didn’t know that we would like. Additionally, Laurie is so sweet and so kind, and will literally go the extra mile—or extra 900 miles in our case— as she played at a Wedding in Minnesota the day before our wedding, and drove OVERNIGHT 900 miles to Colorado to play at our wedding the very next afternoon. Incredible and second to none. Her music is flawless. Our guests are STILL raving about her beautiful harp music 4 months later, and many of us have sought out Laurie’s performances around town in MN just to listen more! I would book her again in a heartbeat! Thank you for helping to make our day absolutely perfect, Laurie!

From the moment Laurie Leigh picked up the phone in response to our inquiry, I knew she was THE ONE for our wedding rehearsal cocktail hour and dinner! Enthusiastic, quick to respond with audio links, song list, and a contract, we were thrilled to book with Laurie. Laurie is incredible. She did the ceremony music for my wedding and I absolutely loved everything about working with her. She is incredibly talented. Wedding days get to be incredibly busy and it was so nice to know that my music was completely taken care of. Laurie and her harp are a fantastic addition to any wedding. She was so easy to work with and her songs are BEAUTIFUL. Laurie played while our guests were seating, during the processional, my wife's beautiful entrance, during our unity ceremony and the recessional. She also was super accommodating and learned a song to play during our first dance. Having Laurie play at our wedding was one of the best choices that we made for our big day. Her music was beautiful and ethereal. It created such a relaxing and enchanting atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of the wedding. She was perfect!!!! Also, she did learn Africa by Toto for the groom and it was better than he could have ever imagined. Laurie played absolutely beautifully for our outdoor wedding ceremony at Silverwood Park. We received tons of compliments on the music. Laurie has an extensive repertoire that was easily tailored to our event, and she could really project! This was important to us as we had a large outdoor space and ultimately were spread out further with social distancing. Our guests in the furthest seats were pleased to find out they could hear the music well. Not only is Laurie a talented musician, the harp itself is beautiful. The harp added something visually to our ceremony and was the right scale of instrument for our large ceremony space. It also was a more accommodating instrument in terms of the weather it could withstand compared to some other instruments. Laurie was very communicative and professional throughout the planning and re-planning process and on our wedding day. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend her!

I cannot say enough good things about Laurie's work. She is amazing. We hired Laurie to play during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was to have her as part of the event. It was elegant and created the perfect ambience for our small gathering. Laurie was absolutely wonderful! Not only was her music BEAUTIFUL and the perfect touch for our big day (she is clearly an incredibly talented musician), but she was so sweet, professional, and easy to work with. Especially throughout the process of postponing and rescheduling our wedding during Covid, we were so appreciative of her flexibility and kindness. Also, she was very helpful during our consultation. With so many other things to worry about when getting ready for the wedding, I was so glad that I didn't have to worry at all about the music. Laurie Leigh - Harpist performed at our daughter's wedding in June 2019. Laurie is the ultimate professional and the talent she possesses is amazing! She can play any genre and makes the music selection process so easy by categorizing music selections by genre. Laurie also recommended a vocalist for the ceremony that had such a beautiful voice and sang with so much emotion. We selected 3 solos that were not the "norm" for a wedding but Laurie and Callie were so accommodating and did a beautiful job that our guests are still complementing them to this day! Laurie's talent will be remembered long past the wedding day!

Her repertoire is so large and command of her instrument so impressive that it makes a ceremony perfect in any sense—and this one ranged from traditional to modern. The bride and groom were delighted and the guests entranced during both ceremony and reception as Laurie’s selection of music also contains contemporary songs not typically heard on the harp that guests take notice of in ways that only enhance their experience at the event. Laurie was an amazing addition to our day on 10/19/19! We had a brunch wedding so she played the pre-ceremony time while friends and family had mimosas and pastries, during our wedding ceremony itself, and also at our cocktail hour. The music she chose was perfect - contemporary before and after, and some traditional music we chose for the ceremony. She sent a huge selection of songs for us to narrow down our picks from, and even sent a cd so we could be familiar with her music prior! I had known her through a mutual friend, but she blew us away for our event, and made an extremely smooth transition between harp music and the dj playlist for our dance.

Laurie was so wonderful to work with and so approachable and friendly! I am the mother of the bride, so I never met her prior to the wedding. My daughter and her fiancé met with Laurie prior to the wedding to determine music selections. My daughter was not necessarily so enthused about having a harpist at her wedding. After meeting with Laurie, hearing her play and ultimately, after the wedding and reception, they both were extremely happy she was there. As a suggestion, (which we didn't think about until after the ceremony) communicate with your other musicians about who you want to be playing and when. We also had a pianist. Unfortunately, the piano overpowered the sound of the harpist and cellist in my opinion. I wish we had told the pianist when we did not want her to play to so that we could have just enjoyed the sound of the harpist and cellist. (beautiful together) Laurie is a professional! Very talented and a great addition to the wedding day!
