My husband and I were married on 9/21/2024 at Lauxmont's Japanese Gardens. What a naturally beautiful and dreamy venue! From the minute we went for our first walk-through, we saw the vision of our wedding day come to life and knew this was where we were meant to be married.
Lauxmont is a completely DIY venue, which is something I would emphasize to future brides. I did not realize how much planning that goes into making your day piece together without having a designated planner - so make sure you spend time looking into logistics with the venue coordinators. We hired an additional Day of Coordinator (Beyond Blissful Events, LLC), and I highly recommend doing that as the Lauxmont Coordinators are separate and mainly for venue related items. My DOC alleviated any and all stress day-of and took care of EVERYTHING! I did not have to worry about any details, vendors or timelines.
We were incredibly lucky when it came to weather, and did not need to use our rain plan. We rented an additional tent in the off chance that we had inclement weather, as there really is no plan B for cocktail hour or the ceremony. Keep this in mind.
The venue is beautiful and I wouldn't make any changes. Just be aware that you are in charge of all vendors, clean up, trash, decorations, etc and are required to have everything off-site the night of the wedding and completely off property by 9AM the next day. You also cannot store any items at the venue the day before or week prior, this was a challenge.
Overall, we had an amazing day with all of our friends and family and could not have done that without the support of the Lauxmont staff and all of our amazing vendors!
The Lauxmont staff made my wedding absolutely wonderful with their effective communication and simple guidelines/rules with vendors and decorations. They definitely made planning a wedding at the Cobblestone Courtyard super easy. Their day of coordinators were both super nice and personable and made sure that the entire wedding went perfectly. My wedding was beautiful and I have no regrets in choosing Lauxmont. I HIGHLY recommend their venues.
My husband and I had our wedding at the Rotunda. You cannot beat the views and the beauty. The venue staff were very communicative, professional, and helpful throughout the whole wedding process and on the day of the event. The venue coordinators were also so kind and helpful. Highly recommend getting married here!
Stunning venue.
My daughter recently had her wedding and reception at the Rotunda at Lauxmont Farms. The venue is absolutely beautiful with a stunning view. The layout, patio and building itself are beautiful and a great location for the ceremony and celebration. Even though we had some rain, the staff was amazing in being able to shift some plans inside and still set gorgeous tables and other decorations. We had a really fun time and thorough enjoyed the evening!
Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful venue for us to celebrate this special day. This past Saturday we were part of once in a lifetime experience. My nephew married the love of his life and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect and beautiful venue in all PA than Lauxmount Farms. We chose the Rotunda venue for its breathtaking views of the Susquehanna River in the background. Everything was designed and planned to perfection with skilled and friendly staff assisting to make sure this was a dream wedding. My family and friends loved Lauxmont Farms, the whole place seemed magical felt like we were on a movie set. Thank you for making this day one that we will forever treasure and cherish for years to come.
Polakoff/Griffin Wedding 11/6/21
We got married last November at the Japanese Gardens, one of the many beautiful locations contained within the Lauxmont Farms campus. To say everything was perfect, would be an understatement. From the top-notch customer service (and having direct interactions with ownership), the Lauxmont team went above and beyond to ensure that our special day was truly special! The scenery around the entire property is breathtaking and the communication with the team was superb. We give them the highest ranking possible because well, they deserve it! Thank you Lauxmont!
Lauxmont Farms was a YES from the start! With COVID at its peak, it was the perfect most beautiful venue for our guestlist of 200 people. We selected to have our wedding outside of the Rotunda & Cocktail / Reception at the Japanese Garden. We were aware that the venue itself was super minimal with a few inclusions, therefore had to get basic needs from other vendors. The venue was happy to help find us vendors & accommodate any nuances. There were little to no restrictions on what we wanted. Which was a definite plus for us. Additionally, the views & farm was absolutely breathtaking which made our big Indian wedding unique & had our guests raving.
Other than what's mentioned above, we do think that Lauxmont has a lot of room for improvement when it comes to items included within the venue packages. We struggled a lot to find a dumpster, additional restrooms / restroom trailers, etc. The venue coordinators also seemed unexperienced & out of the loop & disconnected from our hired wedding coordinators. Since we had a traditional Hindu wedding & our timeline was robust, the venue coordinators were not fully equipped to handle. We're thankful that we'd booked other wedding coordinators because our wedding would not have been a success with just the venue coordinators. We needed to store a lot of the wedding items at the farms before our big day & we're also thankful that the venue accommodated for that; however when it came to transporting the items for the events, our wedding coordinators had dig through rubble to get all the items for the events while the venue coordinators didn't help much. Additionally, the venue coordinators seemed to have been working in shifts so we had different people at different times with the exception of the manager. Overall, the venue is SO beautiful & we had the most beautiful wedding! We do believe that Lauxmont Farms has the potential to become way better to attract the Indian wedding community & vendors if they improve their services & offerings - even with a slightly higher cost. People will be willing to pay the extra dollars for the improvements.
Lauxmont Farms is a beautiful venue. I had my wedding at the Sunken Garden and it was perfect. The scenery made for amazing photos. I had so many guests tell me how gorgeous the view was. The staff at Lauxmont were very accommodating and attentive. The only minor complaint was that their staff seemed a bit unorganized. I had to fill out the same paperwork a few times and the staff didn't seem to communicate with each other. I was a bit worried that if I didn't tell them directly what I wanted, they wouldn't get the correct information; however, all of my worries were for nothing. Overall - great venue!
What can I say. This place was spectacular. The views from every location were breathtaking. My wife and I will be coming back for our 10 year anniversary to renew our vows! Thank you Ceci, Ron, and the entire team for everything you did.
Amazing venue!!! The most beautiful views, easy access, wonderful facilities. Attending this wedding was like going on vacation to a five star destination.
In April, we had an intimate wedding at cobblestone courtyard. The views at Lauxmont are beautiful and the perfect setting for a wedding. We chose the barn because it felt more intimate, and we liked the courtyard for the ceremony. The staff at Lauxmont go above and beyond to make the wedding process as easy as possible and less stressful. They are very knowledgeable about what it takes to pull off a wedding and also have great input on decorating. They are very professional and know what they are doing. We went with the florist Laura Kohr and photographer Katy Trefry who were both wonderful to work with, professional, and good at what they do. Our day turned out better than we had imagined! We had mission BBQ cater the food and the staff for them was professional, helpful, and also went the extra mile. You cannot go wrong with choosing Lauxmont as your venue. We even did the horse and carriage ride. We highly recommend this venue for any event.
My boyfriend and I attended our friends” wedding at the Rotunda this past weekend. Wow!!! The views from this venue are amazing - didn’t matter if we were inside or outside it was beautiful. The ceremony was perfect, and the reception was a total blast. The staff at Lauxmont were there throughout the day, and their wedding coordinator , Alyse, went above and beyond in taking care of every detail during the reception. We will definitely be back to have our wedding at the Rotunda (hint hint to my BF) 😍
I Always dreamed of a winter wedding. Lauxmont definitely gave us that! We chose the Rotunda as our venue. Everything was absolutely perfect! The room was gorgeous , with a breathtaking view The staff was wonderful to work with. The facility is very user friendly, our caterer was able to function to his highest standards! The most memorable day was made possible by Lauxmont Farms and there wonderful staff! Thank you!
Our experience with Lauxmont Farms was absolutely perfect. Due to covid we ended up changing our venue, and we took a tour of Lauxmont Farms and fell in love. Brenda showed us around and she was super sweet and attentive. They are very flexible with covid and are very understanding. We were able to change our date if needed, but we ended up keeping our original date. They even gave us a healthcare worker discount as well! They are super responsive with emails as well, and answered my gazillion questions that I had. No one was ever rude to me.
We originally booked in Sunken Gardens, but they let me switch to the Rotunda since it opened up. Due to covid they would've even let me switch back to Sunken Gardens if needed, but we fell in love with the Rotunda and the view is so breathtaking. We had our ceremony outdoors, and the reception indoors.
The place comes with a venue coordinator, we had Adelle. It is not in her job description to help us unload the car with heavy boxes or to help decorate, but she was very kind and offered her assistance to help unload the car and she also helped decorate.
The day of the wedding, I was freaking out all morning because it was supposed to rain 90% chance. I met with one of the owners of the venue and assured me if it did rain I can have it set up exactly how I wanted inside. He said if I had problems with anything I can tell him (which I didn't have any problems, but it was very nice and reassuring to know that). Everything was setup exactly how I wanted, and our day turned out so perfectly! I just wish it didn't go by so fast! I cannot be more happy with how the staff treated us. They really went above and beyond. The place was very clean, and exactly as the contract stated. I got my security deposit back quickly as well. Thank you so much, we HIGHLY recommend them!
Back in February, our initial wedding venue fell through and I spent a friday night literally contacting every venue in PA to see who could accommodate my date with a food truck wedding. Taylor at Lauxmont Farms texted me that night to help me out and got us in to see the venue that same weekend. They have been so flexible and helpful, especially with all of my anxious questions while planning during this year. It worked out for the best as this venue was beyond gorgeous!! We got married at the Japanese Gardens. They have just the right amount of DIY/blank slate options while still being there to help and providing bridal suites, chairs/tables, etc. I'm soo glad our original venue fell through and that we went with Lauxmont Farms!
Absolutely everything was perfect. It rained on my wedding day and I was initially so upset, but We moved our Rotunda wedding inside and it ended up being better than I could have imagined. Everything was perfect. Caroline our day of coordinator was so helpful. Ron and Cecilia were so kind, caring, easy to get a hold of and organized. The venue was beautiful, inside and out. I was so relaxed leading up to the wedding because everything was falling into place between the venue and vendors perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about the Lauxmont team. All of the venues are beautiful, I chose the Rotunda because I was worried about the weather and because of the views, the beautiful round barn and the easy access for older guests. If you, are like me, and anxious about worst case scenario (rain) consider Lauxmont because their team made my worst nightmare into a perfect day. I’n actually glad it rained now!!!
I was a bridesmaid in a wedding at the Cobblestone Courtyard in the beginning of June. The day was absolutely perfect. Our venue coordinator, Ceci, was so easy and great to work with. We knew we didn't have to worry about anything because she had everything taken care of. The bride and the bridesmaids truly all had such a fun and relaxing day! The venue was absolutely beautiful and well-kept. I highly recommend Lauxmont Farms.
We got married at the Cobblestone courtyard and it was beautiful. The venue was perfect for our vendors and had the perfect setup for the day to run smoothly. We were told that the weeds between the cobblestone would be pulled the day before our wedding, but they were not. Overall, though, we could look past this because the coordinators were so flexible and allowed us to setup early. If you're looking for a venue to give you some great pictures, I definitely recommend Lauxmont.
Kevin and I had our wedding at Cobblestone Courtyard on April 27, 2019 and were blown away by the overall experience. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for in terms of atmosphere, scenery and overall experience.
The staff was nothing but helpful in the run up and during the course of our weekend-we couldnt praise them enough. Their attentiveness and care was so genuine that they all felt like guests on our favorite day. They are dedicated to seeing that everyone has a good time and that they exceed expectations. In conclusion, I’d have no problem recommending Lauxmont Farms or using them again. Truly a great experience!
Do not fall for their lies. Very nice location overlooking the Susquehanna. Unfortunately the place has been let go. The management has absolutely no clue what they are doing. It is a real shame because the place could be top notch if there were more common sense and attention to detail
I advise all future brides to pick a different venue!! They make false promises, are unprofessional, and are disorganized.
I picked Lauxmont farms because the Japanese Garden was beautiful! I ignored bad reviews because I thought the negative reviews were just some brides being too particular.
But I hope I can help a future bride when I say DONT GET MARRIED HERE!!
Here are the top 4 things that happened that I feel like you need to know about:
1) I was promised that the venue would have a new area built for my girls to get ready. I confirmed multiple times that it would be built. At my rehearsal they told me "it won't be built, sorry". Me and my 12 bridesmaids were put in a small and DIRTY cottage! There we're bugs, one toilet that wouldn't flush, and the air-conditioning didn't work.
2) I was told by multiple people that we could hang lanterns in the tent. 2 weeks before the wedding that information changed to "you can do this but you have to pay us an extra $200".
3) They promised an air-conditioned reception tent, and they told us the wedding morning that it was broken. My mom ask the staff to open up the sides of the tent to let some fresh air in. In the MIDDLE of the ceremony they started using what sounded like a sledge hammer to bang the doors open. My husband and I could hear loud banging as we we're trying to listen to the officiant in the middle of our wedding.
4) We were told that they would have people on horseback to direct guests to the wedding. This didn't happen. I confirmed with my guests, and nobody saw anyone guiding traffic on horseback, and multiple people had trouble finding our venue because of it.
My wedding was beautiful and the view was spectacular. I loved being able to decorate everything how I wanted and we have some stunning photos. But I was really unhappy with the venue. I wish I knew that they were disorganized and full of empty promises before I payed a LOT of money for this venue. I would go back in time and pick a new venue if I could!
My husband and I got married at Cobblestone Courtyard it was just perfect. The staff was very helpful throughout the process. The bridal suite is on the small side for this location, it could is some love. Overall we would recommend Lauxmont!
Attended a United Voices of Hope event at the rotunda. It was the perfect spot to worship God. Absolutely beautiful view and venue.
Lauxmont Farms is first and foremost a beautiful venue. I had my vow renewal at the Cobblestone Courtyard and it was amazing. The scenery makes for fantastic photos. My guests were all very impressed as well. The staff at Lauxmont is very accommodating and attentive. They reached out several times leading up to my event to make sure everything was all set. My only minor complaint was that my tables were not laid out as I had intended which made for a stressful set up. Overall - great venue, would definitely book again!
My husband and I had looked at a few other venues before coming to Lauxmont, but when we got there the view took our breath away. The views from the Rotunda, even in chilly, rainy April, were enough to get us to make a commitment even before we spoke to anyone. Now were there a few things that I wish were included with the price, of course, and of course it would have been easier to have everything included (linens, trash, decorations, etc.) and a specific person you work with as far as catering and bar tending goes, but it made our experience unique and allowed us to get our families more involved and to put a little more personality into our wedding. Everyone we got to work with at Lauxmont was extremely helpful, although you have to email a few times, or call, to make sure you get the answers you need. I would definitely recommend because all of our guests would not stop talking about how this was the most beautiful venue they've ever been too!
My company K's Event Decorations and Rentals had the privilege to style, decorate and coordinate our first wedding at the Sunken Garden. The venue had the pefect view and many layers to decorate. The staff was great and the wedding was perfect. Our bride and groom couldn't be more happier. We are looking forward to many more events at Lauxmont Farms.
We fell in love with this venue because of the view and location. Unfortunately, that was the only positive that came out of our wedding day at this venue. We were disappointed with the staff, management, and terrible communication. We would not recommend the boutique as a rental for furniture as our experience was like pulling teeth to get the correct items we rented and paid for prior to our wedding. Things that were promised were not there or usable. The groomsmen suite was without electricity for my husband to use so he needed to get ready in the caterer’s kitchen. We were not happy about this and the many other details they dropped the ball with. We are not recommending this venue after numerous attempts to discuss our issues with the owner.
Lauxmont provided us with a stunning view and a beautiful venue that created a great atmosphere, and made for some gorgeous pictures. However, the pool at the Sunken Gardens was not clean. There was no power at the ceremony site, so we had no microphones (thank god our DJ used a wireless setup for the music!). The lighting was nonexistent after the sun went down, making it very difficult for our guests to leave. Finally, we were promised mounted parking attendants to direct people, which never happened. Some of my guests ended up at the wrong wedding! Good not great. Go elsewhere for the price.
Jonathan & Edith's wedding! Sep. 8, 2018
We had our reception at Lauxmont Farms, in the Rotunda Venue. Perfection doesn't exist, but for me and my husband it did tha day. Rotunda is beautiful inside and outside, the views are amazing. We loved and enjoyed every moment along with our family and friends. I felt like a Queen with my King, everything turned out the way we imagined. I want to thank Cecilia for all the help she gave us, and making sure everything was perfect for our big day. Cecilia was always available in answering questions we had, very kind, humble and such a wonderful person. The vendors we had are the best. A special day to always remember.
Beautiful venue! The wedding was held at the rotunda. The bride room was so nice and I loved the big mirror. It was clean and comfortable. They were very helpful and came over multiple times to see if we needed anything while getting prepared for the big day. The view was amazing and it looked even better at night. My friend had the wedding of her dreams <3
Lauxmont was the absolute perfect location for our wedding! The view was stunning, the staff helpful and quick to respond to all my questions. I couldn't have chosen a better spot!
Update: January 18, 2022.
Still no change to post from below. No communication has been made and this is product from 2016 totaling over $6,000. Incredibly disappointing!
Provided this business with products for their horses they use for receptions. Haven't paid overdue invoices now for over 2 and a half years! Would not trust using this venue at all. Will not respond to phone calls, won't follow through on promises made, wouldn't consider working with them at all!
Several issues arose with this venue… First that they promised running water in the bridal suite… If it were not for our day of the wedding coordinator… It may not of happened. They also promised us that they would have someone there directing traffic… But during the ceremony food trucks for the other venue Began driving by…. Also… Prior to the wedding… They said that the Workman would be done by noon… They were shoveling mulch at two to 3 o’clock in the afternoon with guests arriving at around 330. Totally Unacceptable and unprofessional. In addition, the on-site person chose to go to lunch in the midst of our set up… Seemed to care more about herself then what we were trying to do with the venue. Also… Don’t believe they are handicap accessible! We had to hunt down the golf cart to get some of our elderly guests from the wedding site to the reception site… Something that they promised! Also… I think it was totally inappropriate that they had a child driving the golf cart! There was a man with him but this kid could not of been even 12 years old! I don’t believe this place is worth the money!… Unless you just want the Riverview.
Although this site is beautiful… Which helped us manage to save the day… The service at Lauxmont Farms is incredible poor. For the price you pay for this venue… One would expect better service… We must’ve just paid for the view!
We had our wedding there August 4th at the Japanese garden. It rained ALL DAY August 3rd and we were so scared but it was nothing but sunshine on the 4th! The staff made sure the venue was clean and dry from the rain the day prior. All four venues are breathtaking and the freedom at Lauxmont is PERFECT. You are able to have your dream wedding and that’s exactly what we had. Our day could not have gone more smooth. Our guests, one month later are STILL saying that our wedding was the wedding of the year!!
This place is below a pathetic joke as for a wedding venue, besides the views theirs not a single good thing about this place. The venues are falling apart, the staff is incompetent, unprofessional, and just dumb. I wouldn't have a wedding here if they paid for the whole thing, its that bad. save yourself a headache, disappointment, and stress and look elsewhere. There are so many other wedding venues out there that are gorgeous and have staff that actually care about you and how well your wedding goes. Lauxmont hides behind "they're just the venue" . That's the sad part, they can't even do that part right. If i could vote negative 5 stars I would!!!!!! GODS HONEST TRUTH, OH SPEAKING IF WHICH THEY WILL LIE THROUGH THEIR TEETH, TELLING EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO HEAR UNTIL THEY GET YOUR MONEY AND THEN YOU'LL SEE HOW MUCH OF WHAT THEY TELL YOU IS ABSOLUTE BS!!!
On August 11, 2018 my used Rotunda venue at Lauxmont Farms. The venue has breathtaking views and was beautiful, but there were several issues that could have been avoided or handled differently that have caused me to give this negative review.
1. The bridal party arrived at the venue around 9am to begin preparation for the day. The groom, spent approximately 45min helping the wedding coordinator, make a broken window safe for the day. They had to apply clear tape to the cracked window to secure the glass so that it would not fall out and injure our guests. This should have been handled by the staff, prior to the wedding party’s arrival.
2. The bride and groom rented a wash tub to hold drinks. This item was not at the venue until after noon. The delay caused the ice for drinks to melt more rapidly and more needed to be purchased.
3. The cake table that was reserved arrive at the venue after 1 pm. The table was green and orange, not wooden table like the pictures. The groom spent approximately an hour in a barn with the staff member trying to find a suitable table. During this time the person bringing the cake had arrived and had no place to set the cake up. They spent over an hour in her car with the AC on trying to keep the cake from melting.
4. Around 3:30 pm, I witnessed a staff member walking past the rotunda windows with a can of spray paint. The staff member going to touch up the paint on the Arbor. I stopped him just before he was ready to spray paint, because we had decorations sitting by the arbor that he was NOT going to move. The staff should have notified someone of their plans before proceeding
5. The grooms involvement in some of these issues caused photo opportunities to be missed due to time running out.
6. At 4:30pm, the coordinator informs me that the horse chosen to pull the carriage after the ceremony is afraid of dogs. The bride and groom had planned from the beginning to have their dog present at the wedding ceremony. This information was untimely and should have been discussed prior to 4:30pm. We had to make some last-minute changes to the wedding party exit to accommodate the frightened horse.
7. Finally, around 6:30pm when everyone was inside the rotunda, dinner was being served and speeches were being made, there was a staff member and his children standing outside the rotunda windows. The staff member was lighting the fire pits, which the bride and groom specifically requested not to be done. The fire was unnecessary and unwanted. This was yet one more distraction that could have been avoided.
Most weddings can expect to have an issue or 2, but to have 7 issues that happened on the same day was disruptive and caused unnecessary stress. These issues started overshadowing the natural beauty of the venue itself.
I have reached out to the management at Lauxmont Farms and they have not responded to us. It is disappointing that there is so little customer service. Future Bride’s beware!
We got married at the Rotunda on Friday, 8/24/18 and couldn’t have been happier. The staff was extremely helpful on the day of. Alyssa asked us multiple times if there was anything we needed or how she could help. Ron answered every phone call i made after hours leading up to our day and was extremely accommodating. It was a fairytale day and everything exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Lauxmont Farms, Rotunda!!
Couples beware! Beautiful views but not worth the headache/heartache that comes along with it! Venue was hard to communicate with throughout the entire process and almost completely unreachable the day of. What was promised during walk through and contract was not provided during the wedding. We were left without a coordinator most of the day and did not even have access to our cocktail area of the venue which we did not find out until cocktail hour itself. Below I will go into greater detail. When we contacted the venue after the event to discuss (we wanted to ensure no other couple would go through what we did) their response after over a month wait was $200 attached to the security deposit and no actual apology or promise to correct the site (the site cost almost $9,000). We would have posted this immediately after but unfortunately opted to go with the photographer who lives on site, Katy Trefry. She did not provide our photos until 8 months after the wedding and we wanted to make sure we received them.
Bridal/Groom Suites
-We were not told which location until 30 minutes after we were supposed to have access
-Locked outside delaying our ability to use it until our ‘coordinator’ arrived almost an hour late
-Dirty on arrival, still had previous bride’s belongings EVERYWHERE including old underwear, empty beer bottles, and cigarettes
- Someone apparently living there which we were not informed of.
- Unprotected electrical outlets sticking out of walls
- A lot of dead bugs
Event Coordinator
- Not an actual coordinator, works with the horses (her confession not a speculation)
-Gave multiple tours to prospective clients without letting us know instead of helping or being available the day of
-Provided no help when asked, did not assist in setup, and unreachable almost the entire time
- Several guests directed to the wrong wedding
-When found and confronted (multiple times) she would again disappear to be seen later giving more tours
Cocktail hour (Japanese Garden)
-Garden completely out of service (no interior lighting, pumps not turned on)
-Ponds filthy
-Lighting minimal to nonexistent (dangerous to guests)
-Nothing in that area to use, despite going over the plan and laying out the site and tables with the venue a month prior
Reception
-Coordinator went home just before cocktail hour without completing most duties
-Everyone from venue unreachable (no one on location, no one answered phone)
-Several electrical problems including tent lights/outlets going dark, exposed outlets, etc.
-Site still clearly under some construction (we were promised completed by event).
-Told only 1 month prior that we would be responsible for all trash cans and trash removal, that's a fun one to try to figure out and add to budget last minute.
Please beware! Read other reviews as we were not the only one to go through this, Lauxmont charges you (a lot) and promises so much that is never delivered. Your wedding day should be a dream not a nightmare!
The only good thing about this venue is the location. They are extremely disorganized, unhelpful, and make promises they cant keep. I was promised a horse and carriage and mounted parking attendants which i was told literally before i walked down the aisle wasnt going to happen. I was told i would have a beautiful new bridal suite, promised it would be done, then told it wasnt done a week before the wedding. I was told if it wasnt done i would have a house to get ready in, then i was told that was wrongly promised to me... so At first they wanted to put me in the Attic of a lived in house to get ready.. I freaked out so then they gave me a smaller less nice location to get ready that was further away from my venue. The thursday before my wedding i received an e-mail which sounded like i could choose my location to get ready so the bridal suite was seemingly done but there was no running water in it. My day of person was nice but clearly had no control over many things. We were told if the suite wasnt ready we would get 500 dollars back and then when we called to get it back after arriving thinking the suite was ready day of and it wasnt. My mother called the venue after the wedding and was treated terribly and did not receive the promised money. throughout the planning process the venue was very nice and "yes dear" but when we arrived for our 30 day walk through, they had forgotten about our appointment. They will be nice to you and make you think eveyrthing will be perfect for the day but no one communicates with anyone. If i hadnt hired outside day of planners they wedding wouldnt have worked at all. I had an amazing wedding despite Lauxmont farms staff.
Where do I even begin! The best decision my new husband and I made was choosing Lauxmont! All four of their venues are gorgeous and offer a different look depending on your style. After taking a tour and seeing all of the venues, my husband and I knew we wanted Lauxmont to be our venue but couldn't decide which venue to choose because they are all so beautiful! We ultimately chose the Cobblestone Courtyard for its rustic feel. The cobblestone area itself is beyond gorgeous. We used the dove house for the bar which our guests were super impressed with. The reception area has 3 bathrooms and a great amount of space. We had about 135 guests and still had a ton of room to work with. The staff was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. They are a wealth of knowledge on the wedding business and vendors in South Central Pennsylvania. They offered support and guidance when needed. The 30 day consultation really brings a bride's plan together. We really loved that it was an open venue. We did things a little nontraditionally and Lauxmont was easily able to accommodate those things for us. Our guests had the best time and raved about the flow of the venue. One guest even said it was the best wedding she had ever been to! It was an absolute blessing that we were able to have our wedding at Lauxmont!
Wow! We are still in awe of how beautiful our wedding day was. We got married at the Japanese Garden venue at Lauxmont Farms on 7-14-18. The weather was absolutely perfect and the venue was gorgeous. Our guests repeatedly told us that it was a fairytale day! As soon as our ceremony ended, the horse and buggy came over the hill to pick us up. It was a beautiful sight! The staff at Lauxmont was very accommodating and even allowed us to use another bridal suite that was not being used for the guys to get ready in ! Our favorite thing about this venue was that there was no "end time" that we had to be out by. We actually kept the party rolling until 12:30 ! Also, we were able to bring in any vendors that we wanted as well as bring our own alcohol which saved us a ton of money. The only negative was that communication was hard at times, but once our wedding got closer, that improved greatly. If you are looking for a great spot with an amazing view and flexibility, this is your spot!

Lauxmont Farms is a gorgeous establishment to host the wedding of your dreams. With four scenic venue options to choose from, all well maintained by the hard working staff, it is easy to find a site that suits your desired tastes and accommodates the varying numbers of your wedding guests. I have attended several events at Lauxmont Farms, which always take my breath away. Friends who are brides or bridesmaids always describe their pleasant experience working with the Lauxmont staff. I highly recommend Lauxmont Farms, it will not disappoint!
We originally had planned to have our wedding at the beautiful Sunken Garden. However, due to projected flooding issues and heavy rain in the forecast, Lauxmont was generous enough to offer us the use of the indoor Rotunda for our ceremony and reception. They contacted me a few days before the wedding to discuss this option as we were the only wedding that day. We met the morning before the wedding to completely re-plan everything, and Ashley and James were just so awesome in getting everything in order. Also, Alexis was awesome in helping throughout the day and for being so sweet in giving me a call about moving everything! I am so grateful to Lauxmont for turning what was a very stressful few days into one of the most memorable days of my life. They will do whatever they can to truly make your day special. I will be recommending Lauxmont (any of their venues!) to everyone I know!
We had our wedding on October 17th of 2017 at the Japanese Gardens. When we booked our date we were told that the bridal room attached to the venue would be open by the summer.. untrue. By October it was still under construction. We were lied to. I think it has been under construction for about 24 months honestly. This stressed out my wife a lot.. they told her she would have to share a small building with another bride. We told them this was unacceptable and she ended up using a house where someone lived on the property... In addition during the whole year of planning they were very hard to get responses from! Please do yourself a favor and get your own wedding coordinator because the one that Lauxmont had provided honestly didn’t have a clue... I rated this venue a 2 because the views are spectacular on a nice day, and the gardens are beautiful. That part gets a 5/5... But that’s the only thing you’re paying for. Management gets a 0/5... I hope they restructured their wedding management, because this could be one of the best wedding venues in the state if not for poor organization and communication. If you decide to go with Lauxmont, just be prepared to deal with stress and sadness. As soon as they get your money and book you, they are very difficult to work with...Or just spend the money and have your coordinator deal with them!
Attended a wedding here over the weekend at the Japanese Garden. What a great venue! You could tell everyone was really happy about the pick. I had walked through some of the other venues and they were just as beautiful too, would not expect something like this for a wedding in Pennsylvania. Absolutely amazing.
The property is absolutely beautiful. The location for the wedding I attended had amazing lighting and floral decorations that really make you feel like you were in an enchanted forest. The staff was very professional and friendly and Cecilia (helps set up the weddings) was a pleasure to meet, she really puts a lot of work and dedication into making sure everything is perfect. If you enjoy being close to the outdoors in locations that enhance the scenery this is definitely the right place!
I was a bridesmaid at a recent wedding at Lauxmont Farms, and I think that it could not have gone better! The venue was spectacular; the views of the river were amazing and the venue was clean and pretty as well. The Japanese Garden area with the ponds was very scenic and perfect for photos. I really enjoyed the privacy and comfort of the wedding. There were no time restrictions, and I felt very welcomed overall to the venue. The staff was very attentive and it was very evident. Everything was set up on time and the wedding ran very smoothly. You could tell that the staff cares about the bride and making her dreams come true. Cecilia was very helpful and kept things very organized. My experience at Lauxmont Farms was unforgettable. Because of the care of the staff and the perfect setting, this wedding really was perfect--which is just what the bride deserved.
Lauxmont Farms left me with an unbelievable impression that I will never forget. The wedding was elegant, organized, and simply beautiful!! The views of the river and the farm were picturesque. Not only was the venue perfect, but the undying attention from the staff was very helpful in keeping everything as scheduled. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and flexible. They treated the guests with kindness and were very hardworking when it came to certain tasks. Overall, I would just like to thank the staff here for leaving me with memories that will last a lifetime!!!
I first visited Lauxmont Farms in late May 2017 - the property was stunning I every aspect and at every single location (there are 4 venues in total) was absolutely lovely! Are tour guide Mike was literally awaiting are arrival standing out front with his one hand out welcoming us by name, and the other holding the doors for us and our family to say he was anything but honest, polite, professional and a gentleman would be a miss representation. What I loved about Lauxmont was that they allowed me to completely personalize my wedding from every aspect. They provide us as many tables and chairs I needed, the setting up and teardown, and the location that included some of the most Breathtaking View’s that I myself and guest couldn’t get enough of. They truly do provide you with an empty canvass per say so you’re able to Imagine, Dream, and then create your true Childhood Fairytale Wedding! We really loved the whole experience from start to finish and have nothing but wonder experiences to share with you. (btw, we picked the Japanese Garden, but there really is no bad location!)!!
In a word....BREATHTAKING! The Lord led me to Lauxmont Farms, He told me it was THE BEST in the land, and He wanted His daughter to have her Best and that was Lauxmont Farms. It's elegant and timeless wrapped up into one shinny bow! The entire Lauxmont Farms Wedding Team was Beyond Fabulous! They met with me and immediately grasped my vision. They knew what I wanted and they delivered along every step of the way, and some! I was completely blown away by their pricing, I found it reasonably fair, not to mention everything that’s included. Cecilia insisted on making my wedding
day a Dream come true, she was so accommodating and incredibly generous as she had many extras and surprises for me on my special day. They’re all so incredibly kind and went out of their way to make me feel Loved & Special. Their hard work ethic and dedication is admirable and they’re meticulous attention to detail was impeccable! Her customer service was excellent. Lauxmont Farms earned a well-deserved 5 stars across the board, Bar None! I'm so incredibly Grateful & Honored to call Lauxmont Farms the Home of one of the most Special Day of my Life!!!
Lauxmont Farms Venues are Exquisite but Chic and they’re Timeless but Elegant all at the same time! The entire Lauxmont Farms Weddings Team is Truly Amazing as they truly went above and beyond, and even at times out of there way to help and assist me throughout the entire process… They’re hard work is Exquisite, They’re Attention to Detail is Impeccable, and there Professionalism with not only me and my family but also with my out of town vendors was excellent. Lauxmont Farms Earned a well-deserved 5 Stars Ratting Across the board, and being honest I’d give more if I could! I'm forever grateful to Lauxmont Farms allowing me to be able to have all of my Ideas & Visions come together so perfectly and making ALL my Dreams True on my wedding day! I can not Thank You all enough as Lauxmont Farms will always have a very special place in my Heart!
I toured Lauxmont and I was very disappointed. The gentlemen who provided the tour was not the original person I was speaking with via email. I was never notified of that either. However, he was very helpful and provided a lot of information. I wish him the best of the luck! Overall, this venue is not being kept up at all. I was shown the rotunda while caters were setting up for a wedding and a bridal party was preparing. It felt very unprofessional to show a space during someone's wedding! I was shown most of the venues on their property which is divided up because of its large size. The bridal suites in them were unkept, dirty, the curtains were falling off of the cheap bent plastic rods. The Japanese Garden area was just unkept weathered white plywood walls. Of course the tent was not up as it is the winter. It was so hard to imagine it looks elegant and it was even harder when I was showed the corner area that was a bridal suite in the making. Tools were everywhere, wires hanging from the walls, no drywall or flooring. I would not feel comfortable putting a deposit down without the certainty that it would be finished. The Sunken Gardens pools were disgusting, green, full of leaves.. clearly not kept up with AT ALL. Last but not lease the Cobblestone Courtyard has so much potential but it was not cared for well over the years and it shows. The catering area was dirty and just a wall with a dirty sink and a busted up folding table. The lower area where guests would be set up at tables to eat, stunk like mildew and the bathrooms were unkept. They had dehumidifiers in there but when we pulled up the doors to some of these buildings were just left open. I was so disappointed at this place.. I really thought it would have been the place for us. I warn anyone, please think again... if they manage to redo years of neglect and get this property up to standard, it could be a great thing. But sadly, I don't foresee that. If you are an animal rights person just let it be known they breed racing horses here. The staff has a high turn over rate as well. While I was waiting for my tour guide, I saw some of the employees pull up and they were totally brushing hair and putting on make up in the car, while guests for a wedding were starting to show up.
I attended a dear friend of mines wedding here over the summer and words can't describe how beautiful the venue was. The 360 views of the Susquehanna River in the backdrop during both the ceremony and reception was beyond Amazing. It Had a Wonderfull overall great vibe, things ran very smooth, and the staff really seemed whiling to go that extra mile for not only the bride but all the guest. I also really like how we were able to continue into the night with the reception party, and that no one was their rushing us out., or telling us to turn down the music. They let us party into the night, until 2-2:30am, and only then because we were all ready for bed by then. Lastly the farm as a whole is very well kept and maintained, you can tell the owners of the farm care about their venues.
We loved the venue so much we came back to take our friends who recently had got engaged for a tour over the winter and had Mike as our Tour Giude. Who was extremely personable, knowledgeable & professional, but also hilarious all at the same time! All four of has had a Great Time on the tour, and my friends are planning to have their wedding at the Japanese Garden Venue.
Our wedding was at the Cobblestone Courtyard in July of 2017, and we had a great time with family and friends. Our site coordinators were Nahomi and Cece. They were very helpful, on time, and extremely pleasant to our guests. We loved the venue and our guests loved it too. It was everything that we could of ever dreamed of. We are thinking about even going back to get pictures done with Katy Trefy.
In conclusion: The vendors were great , and the venue was simply unforgettable and stunning.

We were very happy with my sister's wedding at the Sunken Garden. Nicole was extremely helpful to us throughout the whole process. She replied back to us quickly and even offered us suggestions we may not have had when it came to vendors and the wedding set up.
Our venue tour guide was Cecilia. My mother fell in love with how warm and friendly she was. She set our minds at ease after the tour, as she was very informative.
My sister and I did all of the planning for her wedding, and we were still within budget before we bought her wedding dress.
Our site coordinator was Ashley. She was very attentive to every detail. We were very lucky to have a warm day, and the venue was perfect. Everything was on time - we really had a blessed day for my sister's wedding. Everyone had a great time!
I had a wonderful experience at Lauxmont, while planning my daughter's event. All of the vendors were phenomenal to work with, especially Katy Trefy Photography.
I had booked the Rotunda 18 months earlier for my daughter, as I knew she wanted the venue and it was a holiday weekend. The staff at Lauxmont (especially Nichole and Cecilia) were extremely helpful in helping me choose the best vendors for our event.
As mentioned before, Katy Trefy Photography was my best choice. She always answered my emails swiftly and promptly, within the same day. It has been over four months, and my daughter is still being complimented on her photos. The pictures from the mansion are beautiful - stunning, good quality, and classic colors. We loved all of the pictures, and it was hard to pick one over another. I love Katy's work, and we are planning to do more photoshoots with her in the future.
All in all we were very happy with our vendor choices and are thrilled that the day went stress free and easy. Thank you Lauxmont and Katy Trefy Photography!
