I want to start by saying how absolutely beautiful the venue is—our wedding truly looked amazing, and the final outcome was everything we hoped for visually.
However, we did experi...
ence some significant issues during the planning process. We toured the venue in June of 2024 and booked our wedding date for September 6, 2025 at that time. Nearly three months later, at the end of September 2024, I received a call informing me that our date had been double booked and that we would need to change our wedding date. While a substantial discount was offered, our options were extremely limited by that point. We ultimately moved forward with a new date of October 18, 2025.
On the wedding day itself, I strongly recommend having someone you trust designated to ensure everything runs smoothly. The day-of coordinator did not arrive until shortly before the ceremony and left shortly after. Thankfully, my cousin stepped in to help manage the timeline and details. Additionally, I was supposed to make a weather-related decision by 2:30 PM about moving the ceremony indoors due to rain, but the coordinator did not arrive at the venue until 3:30 PM—for a 4:30 PM ceremony.
While the venue is undeniably beautiful, better communication and more reliable day-of coordination would have made the experience far less stressful.
Low concern for privacy shown by staff by conducting public tour about 30 minutes before ceremony. Also, unknown, unsupervised people were wandering around dining/reception area...
before ceremony examining/touching flowers, food, etc. Staff discarded bridal party gifts and family had to dig through trash to retrieve them.
The staff at lazy j was amazing. My wedding was everything I ever wanted. Sarah and Hayley were really what made my day amazing. The two of them made everything run so smoothly and...
were truly helpful and caring. Because of them I would recommend the lazy j. The venue is beautiful as well! And just set up so perfectly!
Joe and his entire staff were so wonderful to us on our wedding day. The venue is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. It stormed and poured on our day and they were all so qu...
ick to go to plan B to hold our ceremony inside. It went flawlessly. All our guests kept talking about how beautiful and intimate everything was. If you’re looking for a barn venue, this is the place.
We just had our daughter's wedding at the Lazy J Ranch last week and it was an awesome experience. The venue is unique, inviting and reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised on the f...
ocus and flexibility of the staff to ensure our our needs and those of our guests were constantly being met.
I also can't say enough about their suggested caterer-CC Catering and DJ-Antoine a.k.a DJTweeze. CC Catering's food was excellent, abundant and reasonable . Our guests could not say enough about how good it was.
DJ-Antoine was very professional. He helped my daughter with music selections and his dynamic personality kept the party going on the dance floor until last call.
I rarely give 5 stars but the Lazy J Ranch earned it. Our family and guests are still talking about the positive experience we all had. If that is the result you would like too, give Joe a call at the ranch. I think you'll be as pleasantly surprised as we were the first time we met him.
I had my ceremony and reception here! The staff could not have been more awesome! I planned a wedding in 5 months and I seriously could not have done it with the wonderful staff at...
Lazy J. They were incredibly helpful and I had my princess wedding!
Joe and Haley take great pride in what they do. Joe wraps everything into one price. So the price he quoted is what you pay for everything. There are no hidden chair fees or linen ...
fees. People still talk about how fun our wedding was! Having the two barns for your reception is really the best way. Dinner in one and everybody moves to the “dancing” barn after! You won’t go wrong hiring the dj they provide DJ Tweezy. He was a great MC and he kept the flow of the wedding moving along. People were dancing all night long. The caterer they suggest is AMAZING. The food was perfect, splurge for the pig roast it’s totally worth it and makes for great pictures :)
We had our wedding this November (2017) at Lazy J Ranch. Joe and his staff are amazing! They made our wedding run extremely smooth and even in the pouring rain, made sure that ever...
yone was having a blast. The staff that ran the bar, and helped serve were excellent as well. They came up to me and my guest the entire night asking if we needed drinks or anything, ensuring we were happy and all set. The vendors recommended by Lazy J were also excellent. The DJ (DJ Tweezy) played music that we danced to ALL night (including special lighting and fun glow sticks) , and CC Catering was delicious! I would recommend Lazy J, their staff and recommended Vendors to everyone. Made our wedding the BEST - from the beginning planning stages through the last guest leaving!

ood on the plate and carried it to the head table for me. He drove our elderly guests as well as my mother in the golf cart from one barn to the next. The scenery at the barn was incredible. I would highly recommend this venue

I got married at Lazy J in May 2013 and I loved having it there! I was married outside and had the reception in the new barn and didn't need hardly any decorations, i love how the ...
barn looks! We rented out both barns, which could be a downside--if you don't, there could be another event the same day as yours, and pretty close too! But we used the old barn for hors d'oeuvres and it worked perfectly. If you want a barn wedding I would recommend it.
We had our wedding at the Lazy J Ranch... It was beautiful and everything turned out quite well. The staff was wonderful and were there to cater to any and every need! My parents a...
ctually got married their many many years ago! But there was concerns that had arised along the way... He set us up to be in the new barn when I put a deposit down for the old barn. We drove out there 2 or 3 times to look at the barn and talk to him and many times he wasn't even there. He didn't make up a contract which resulted in us being charged 1000 more than what was expected. And on top of it got mad at us for taking down our decorations at the end of the night and told us to get out of his barn! I was furious but it was our day and he wasn't going to ruin it for us! Such a shame he acted this way because we really loved the site and his staff was amazing! He ruined it all though with his attitude and disorganization!
