WE have one simple goal for YOUR wedding celebration… to create a memory that is all about you. As is true of anything that is great, it does not happen on accident. A memorable event has to be intentionally planned, collaborated, and managed. A team player listens to the way a dream is articulated, then they take that dream and start to build a memory. Legacy Entertainment features DJ Monte Slaver. He has personally DJed over 1000 weddings in the DFW metroplex. The benefit of this experience is an extensive knowledge in all genres of music, the confidence that you have a DJ with a proven track record of executing the elements of your big day, an in-depth ability to operate a state-of-the-art digital sound system, and a polished ability to emcee with professionalism and discretion on a mic. What’s the difference between a party DJ and a wedding DJ? A party DJ thinks they are the entertainment, a wedding DJ knows the bride and groom are the entertainment. A wedding DJ’s role is to not only provide the emcee, music and audio, but to provide the direction and assistance in the planning process. He does this by providing a detailed music planning guide that is designed to give you all the possible elements of the day, as well as inspire creativity, embrace individuality, and spark imagination. This music planing guide includes a flash drive with all the song suggestions mentioned through out the planner. When it is all said and done, of all the things you spend money on, what do you think will have the greatest impact the memories of the day? The music and dancing are most likely going to contribute to the lingering memories of the day. Monte Slaver would love a chance to talk through all the possibilities over a cup of coffee. His booklet of music selections made it very easy for my daughter to plan every dance and sequence of events.

Monte’s performance was outstanding! The live band experience gave our reception the exact classy and entertaining tone that we were looking for. For the DJ part of the reception, he was able to keep both crowds wanting to join the dance floor...

or the wedding. Monte gave us helpful advice and we felt reassured knowing he would guide the evening smoothly. He was also familiar with our wedding venue and made recommendations for how the night / venue should flow.
Legacy Entertainment contributed to the perfect ambiance for our wedding. The musicians were top of the line and we received compliments all night and for months on end, especially from our musically-inclined friends and family. My wife and I love jazz music and we highly recommend Monte's band for any event in the future! I would also note that the pricing was VERY reasonable.
Lastly, we wanted to give our friends the opportunity to dance to their favorite hits at our wedding. Although live versions of songs can do this, it isn't always the same...so having the option of a DJ was perfect. Monte was a great MC for the entire evening, put together a fabulous playlist using our requests, and overall did a superb job throughout our entire wedding planning and execution process.
Monte is the best and his daughter has a beautiful voice. The music is fantastic, they are easy to work with, and are at a great price point. This was an easy five stars to give!

cktail hour and dinner. The band very talented and was able to learn new songs for our walkout and first dance. The songs were very romantic and provided the perfect atmosphere. Additionally, Monte was the perfect MC and was able to keep the flow of the wedding as he announced dances, toasts, and cake cutting. When dancing starting, we switched to DJ and every song drew a huge crowd of dancers. My husband and I could not be happier with the band and we highly recommend!
