I am so grateful I was able to book Leigh for my wedding. She has the eye for all the perfect shots. Leigh captured the beauty, elegance, happiness and perfection of our day. Every time I look at my wedding album, I get to relive every moment of that amazing day. Leigh also did my husband's and I engagement photos which were equally as beautiful. Leigh was the absolute BEST photographer we could have ever dreamed of! She was so professional, and all her photos turned out AMAZING!! She was also so easy to work with during our engagement shoot/wedding day! She kept everything moving in a timely fashion and got all the shots we asked for (and more we didn't even think of!) But perhaps most importantly, she was so friendly, nice, and fun!! Having beautiful pictures is (of course) a wonderful thing, but having such a lovely human being taking those pictures and supporting/guiding us through the magnificent whirlwind that was our wedding day was priceless :) <3 I would recommend Leigh (and her awesome team!) to any future bride! I literally cannot say enough good things about Leigh! She's an amazing person and so much fun to work with! I was worried that I'd be uncomfortable/awkward for formal photos but she just made it so much fun. She's super organized and on top of it- kept this "type A" bride sane beforehand- stuck to the timeline, etc - all of the professional things you could ever ask for! She was flexible and supportive when we had to postpone from 2020 to 2021. And most importantly, the photos are absolutely spectacular! We love them and have gotten so so many compliments. I have worked with Leigh before on other projects, so I knew when I got engaged we needed to snag her. She was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond. She was great at directing everyone where they needed to be for family pictures and bridal party pictures. She made sure to get all shots that we wanted and then some. She helped keep me calm when my ring bearer threw up all over my maid of honor 1.5 hours before the ceremony. She helped get the dress rinsed off and dried. There were still a few spots on it, but no one knew anything. She was incredible, and we will forever recommend her to anyone and everyone. Photos are the only thing you have to look back on of that day. Pick the photographer that understands how important they are. Leigh Skaggs you are amazing. Thank you for EVERYTHING!!!!

Hands down the BEST decision to book Leigh for engagement and wedding photography for our daughter. Leigh will bring the professionalism AND fun! (She's got moves for the dance floor too!) Handled all the family dynamics, like a true champ. From detail shots to fireworks photography, each photo tells a piece of the story of the day. I have said for years, her photography makes me want to marry my husband all over.

Leigh is AMAZING! We booked Leigh for both our engagement photos and our wedding photos, and could not have been more pleased. During our engagement shoot, Leigh traveled to Alexandria, VA ahead of time and even had spots in mind where she felt we could get some phenomenal photos, which we did! I really appreciated her taking the effort to do this research before even meeting us. For our wedding, we found it extremely helpful to work with Leigh to create a timeline and family shot list beforehand. Leigh is very easygoing and was a delight to have around during the wedding day (as was her assistant and daughter Morgan). Although I don't have any prior experience with wedding photographers, we received photos back within about 10 days, which I understand is seemingly record speed. And the photos are phenomenal with over 1200 to choose from! I could not say more great things about Leigh, and my bridal party/family have raved about her repeatedly since our wedding! Throughout the process, I especially appreciated Leigh's prompt communication, answering my questions at any hour of the day. We would HIGHLY recommend Leigh as a wedding photographer!!

Ok if I could give 100 stars I would! Leigh was the BEST photographer to capture our wedding day, she made everyone in our wedding party and family feel so comfortable and the day went so smoothly. She really listened to what we wanted and captured EVERY moment from that day. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants photos done in general. Book Leigh before you're even engaged! Leigh and her team bring so much more than photography to your big day. Their energy, good vibes, and problem solving attitudes make them truly one-of-a-kind. My husband and I got married in the early stages of the pandemic and Leigh had no problem pivoting from our 150+ person ceremony and reception to a *very* intimate gathering. If you want someone who is more than a body behind the camera (and you DO!) do yourself a favor and reach out to Leigh right now. PS- Mine was the third of three weddings in my group of girlfriends and we all used Leigh. Another friend just got engaged and booking Leigh is her #1 to-do. We can't imagine weddings without her!

I got married earlier this month and Leigh and Keke (her assistant) were absolutely amazing to work with. Leigh did both our engagement photos in Virginia Beach and traveled to St. Augustine to do our wedding. She was great at helping us find poses (Since we are not the best) and even let us free style if we wanted to do something weird. Before the day of the wedding, she was in constant communication with us and helped us put a timeline together as well as went over every photo we wanted. On the day of the wedding, She was there early and got every detail I wanted and helped carry my train during transitions to locations. She also made sure I was fed as well, which I though was really sweet since most people complain they don't get to eat during their wedding. The pictures she took were edited and given to me within a week! So by the time I came back from my honeymoon they were all there and they are beautiful. Leigh is absolutely amazing and personable and I would recommend her for any event. Even my bridesmaids were asking me where I found her because she was so great and made us all feel extremely comfortable and a part of our group. 10/10 wound recommend.

Leigh was amazing to work with! She has an open and caring personality and you can tell she has a real passion for photography. Doing our wedding photos with her was really fun, it felt like we were just hanging out. She had us completely at ease, joking around and laughing. She made sure I got every single shot I asked for and utilized our locations beautifully. She was communicative and a pleasure to work with. We got our photos ridiculously fast after the wedding day, it was impressive. The only downside was having too many great photos, it was so hard to pick which ones to print!

Leigh is the best photographer I have ever had. During the stress of putting together a beautiful day in a global pandemic!!! I called Leigh freaking out about having to change the location of the ceremony, she was amazing and reassured me it was okay and that really showed me how much she cared! She only took photos of the ceremony and then bridal party photos at the beach for me. She showed up before everyone to take pictures of how beautiful my husbands child home was, took so sexy shots of the groom, then came to the front and took some individual photos of me. You can tell she puts everything into her photos and seeing them shows me that. She is amazing and I love her!!! Her assistant was pretty great too!

I am so happy to have chosen Leigh for our wedding photographer! I initially chose her due to experience and exceptional galleries of bright, happy and beautiful photos. I was blown away by her kindness and energy throughout the process as she took our engagement photos, helped us plan our shot list and went our of her way to get all the wedding photos we wanted! WOW! Leigh and her team made our wedding day complete and we are very pleased with all the photographs! Leigh is a very hands on person and is not afraid to do ANYTHING to get that perfect shot...even if it means laying wet/muddy grass to get the perfect moon shot under the tree and stars after send-off :) I heard of Leigh as she was the photographer at my friends wedding and she took an amazing picture in the RAIN and we not afraid to stop because of the rain, equipment and all. We wanted an outdoor wedding, but it had been raining all day and we were close to moving it indoors. I asked her if she wouldn't mind shooting in the rain for our ceremony and she said absolutely not! The rain ended up letting up a little and it couldn't have been more perfect, but she was more than willing and prepared to get a little wet! Her team works amazingly together and kept the wedding day and bridal party moving and on time. Not only were the pictures AMAZING, but she is also very easy to communicate with and responds to EVERY question quickly and respectfully. We absolutely LOVED having Leigh and her team (Devon, and Kiki) as a part of our wedding :D oh and in-between shots, Leigh is not afraid to get down and dance!

When it comes to wedding planning, there's so many decisions and choices to be made. Who to use as a photographer to capture our special day was not a decision we had to make. Hands down, it would be Leigh Skaggs!! Leigh has photographed many weddings I have been in and attended. Not to mention following along those friends and family members after their weddings for maternity photos, newborn shots, and family portraits. Her work is simply phenomenal. She is quick to respond, professional, yet fun and personable making you feel comfortable even in awkward or intimate moments. If you don't know how to pose or what to do with your hands like me, don't worry, she will show you and then she'll go above and beyond to get the best angle for the shot. We booked Leigh for our wedding date, Sept 15th. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Florence my husband and I had to make a difficult decision to postpone our wedding to a later date - Oct 27. Devastated we had to change our plans, but grateful for one another, we still decided to wed that day on the beach with family and friends. Leigh was available for our reschedule date, but knew we planned to still marry on that Sept day and have our reception in Oct. Out of the kindness of her heart, she showed up at the beach and took incredible pictures of our ceremony. Her and her other shooters killed it again in Oct capturing every detail of our day from getting ready, to our first look, bridal party shots, family pictures, from dancing to our send off. Thank you for being apart of BOTH our special days. <3

Leigh is a shining star, and we could not imagine our wedding day without her! Our bridal party adored her and had so much fun taking photos. She was efficient and organized, immediately answering our many questions from day one and running the wedding day photos like a champ. We clicked right away, and she made our engagement shoot feel effortless. On the actual wedding day, her team was on it from the moment they arrived, capturing every little detail. She wasn't afraid to lie down in the middle of the street for the perfect shot! She even had our photos back to us in less than three weeks, which we were so impressed with! We are so glad we took the time to find a photographer that we loved.

Leigh and her team are simply stellar. Let me add to all the other outstanding reviews to say that she went above and beyond in all ways to capture the best of our amazing day. My three favorite things about working with Leigh were: 1. She's great at giving clear, concise directions while also keeping things fun and relaxed. Not an easy task! 2. She was happy to review my wedding timeline with me beforehand and provide (extremely helpful) feedback and guidance on a few tricky things I wanted to make sure we captured. 3. She's done this A BUNCH - she's a professional. She knew the equipment to bring, where to be when, and how to get the right candid shots without us even thinking about it. This may seem like a given, but I think Leigh really stands out in this regard. 4. Okay my four favorite things :) she's just a delight! A really fun and perky presence to have at your event. We are absolutely THRILLED with the photos she produced. She shot an engagement session for us in March and our wedding in July. We'll treasure both sets of photos forever!!

We took our engagement photos with Leigh and half way through the session we KNEW we needed her for our wedding. We booked her for our wedding that same day! There aren’t enough positive adjectives to describe how I feel about Leigh and her team. From the start, with early communication, she was transparent, responsive and extremely nice! I was impressed by her portfolio and the packages she offered. Then when we got to meet her during our engagement photos I knew we were getting so much more than a photographer. Leigh is an absolute joy to be around and she made the entire process so easy for a busy bride! I love the way our photos came out and we will cherish them for years to come. On the day of the wedding, Leigh and her team continued to impress me. They were professional and Leigh helped keep me focused and calm throughout the day, constantly reminding me that it was my day (I’m a people pleaser!). Our wedding was outside on a farm, and Leigh even thought ahead to bring rubber boots for me to wear when we took photos in the field so I didn’t ruin my heels. And the photos...OMG.. they are unreal. Her team was able to capture everything from the guests to the details and everything in between. Hold on while I break out my thesaurus, I want to use every possible adjective for awesome to describe Leigh. From the very first email she was always prompt to respond and she was just as quick in getting us our gorgeous photos. She and her second shooter (husband Jay) were a ton of fun! We would not have taken engagement photos if she hadn’t insisted and I am so glad that she did! They are stunning (and it turns out that we needed the practice before the wedding). Leigh helped us with the day of timeline and was on top of every moment from pre-ceremony to reception. Leigh was an absolute joy to work with as our wedding photographer. We took our engagement pictures with Leigh and Jay this past weekend and they are truly an amazing couple. Everything felt so natural and Leigh made sure to capture every moment that we requested. One of the best decisions I made while planning my wedding was picking Leigh Skaggs Photography to be a part of it all. The entire crew (Leight, Jay, and Devin) were INCREDIBLE. Not only did they capture some amazing shots (all of them!), they offered support, confidence, humor, and amazing company overall. I found myself reaching out to Leigh in times of stress, and she was able to leave me with a peaceful feeling as soon as I hung the phone up. I can't stop looking at my photos from my engagement and my wedding - she captures beauty in every situation. I have had multiple guests ask how on Earth I found such a down to earth, talented photographer. She is adventurous and talented and that is obvious when you glance at my pictures. Leigh and Jay shot our wedding on a very cold and rainy day in April. Our rehearsal weather was warm and sunny which was perfect for our outdoor wedding at the Planter's Club in Suffolk, VA. Flash forward 24 hours and the rain began without an end in sight. Leigh and Jay took it in stride and produced some of the most beautiful wedding photos given a very limited area to shoot. They didn't skip a beat and even snuck us out to get an amazing rain shot that night! Leigh's personality is warm and fun! She is the type of person you instantly feel comfortable around and that flows into her work. Being camera shy with Leigh is not an option because she has a way of making everything so natural and captures your most candid moments in such a beautiful way! We love Leigh so much that even though we are now 4+ hours away, we still travel back to her for our photography needs. I couldn't suggest a better team for your most special moments! Leigh and Jay are amazing!

Stop searching, you have found your photographer!! We absolutely loved working with Leigh (and husband Jay)! From the start Leigh was so easygoing. My husband and I had our engagement session with them while they were on THEIR vacation in NYC. They are too kind for letting us steal them away for a bit! We knew from the second we met them that they would be great and couldn't wait to see them again! Leigh is the perfect combination of fun and serious. She knows how and when to use both! Our bridal party was about 24 people plus little ones, and she handled the big group like a champ! During our ceremony you would have never noticed Leigh was there capturing the most beautiful photos - and during the reception, you would have thought she was a guest (in the best way)! Leigh got right in the action of the dancing and partying, and was able to capture images that perfectly described us and our day. I cried at how beautiful the photos turned out when I saw them. I can't thank her and Jay enough for not only the incredible photos we have that will last a lifetime, but for being by far the best people we had the privilege of working with! There are not enough words in the English vocabulary to describe how amazing Leigh and Jay are! Every single one of my wedding photography dreams were granted, AND THEN SOME! Not only did Leigh travel to Cancun, Mexico to photograph my entire wedding weekend, they blended right in like they were family. My friends and family still talk about how professional they both were, while still be able to kick back and relax, just like they were part of the family. One situation we all still talk about it how AMAZING Leigh and Jay are with going with the flow. My flower girls were getting pretty grumpy after the ceremony just when we wanted to take group shots. Leigh was literally not even phased at all, she worked with them and made them laugh and took amazing shots all while doing it. She made it look so effortless and easy. One quality about Leigh and Jay that also resonated with my husband and I, was there ability to stay calm, low stress and remain so positive and happy during the whole weekend. They make it feel so relaxed, they are truly professionals but they have a "we got this" vibe that just puts everything at ease. I can go on and on about Leigh and Jay but what proves it all, is the RESULT. There is not one photo that I do not absolutely love. Leigh takes risks with photos and she has no fear! I got into the water with my wedding dress for a post wedding day shoot and she was right there with me! In her bathing suit! Another quality about the way they shoot, they NEVER make it feel forced or awkward. You want to be happy and laugh because they are so funny and so care free! It makes it actually fun! Choosing Leigh and Jay to be a part of my wedding in Mexico was the best decision I made and I was in literal tears when I saw the finished product. Once your wedding is over, all you have left are your photos to keep the memory. Hiring Leigh and Jay was worth every penny and I recommend them to anyone and everyone I know!!

Leigh and her husband were absolutely great! They went above and beyond when there were some hiccups throughout the day and I do not know how the day would have turned out without them! They were kind, fun to work with, and all around nice people!! They were worth every penny. The pictures are stunning and captured the entire day. I'm taking a moment to say how BEAUTIFUL and dreamlike Leigh Skaggs Photography made our day in pictures!! They were so good I struggled to pick favorites out of the hundreds in the entire photo series. 4 of the best days of my life where spent with Leigh and her team! From the proposal in Feb 2016 to the wedding June 2017 - all of it was a dream come true. Simply wonderful! From the engagement photos to the wedding photos, my husband and I have pictures that we will cherish forever! Leigh and Jay were so wonderful when they came to photograph my engagement! It was definitely a new experience since it was a Pakistani function done at my parents' home but Leigh just did such an amazing job! She knew exactly what kinds of photos we would like and managed to capture such beautiful moments over the course of the night. And we had our pictures back within a week which was so fantastic! We absolutely adore Leigh and her husband (Jay)! They shot our wedding on 11-19-16 & it was so much fun. I wanted outdoor photos & beach photos (yes, at the end of November!) & Leigh made that dream a reality. She also found a gorgeous spot for more outdoor photos once we finished at the beach. We had joked about Leigh having a time machine & being able to bend time so nothing could throw our photo timeline off track, but it was also like Leigh had a magical transportation device that took us far away from my hometown. We found a beach spot that looked like we were on a tropical island. I never dreamed that we would find such amazing spots for photos right here in our hometown! Leigh is extremely passionate about photography and she has so much positive, bright energy. My husband & I both went into our wedding day being a little camera shy, but that faded away immediately when we met Leigh. If you want a photographer who will do an amazing job & make all of your worries melt away, definitely choose Leigh & Jay! Their warm personalities made us feel as if we had known them for years, despite meeting them in person for the first time on our wedding day. Leigh got our photos to us in record time after the wedding & she was always just a phone call or a text away. Not only did I find a photographer in Leigh, but I also found a new friend! I seriously cannot say enough great things about Leigh. She and Jay were so wonderful! She did such an amazing job with our engagement pictures. She was great at making my husband and I comfortable enough for the camera. Because of her, we finally have amazing family pictures with our furbabies. She was able to capture all of the moments that I wanted during the wedding and some more! All of our wedding pictures turned out beautiful and she definitely made it hard for us to choose which ones to print. :) Very quick turnaround for pictures. She was able to calm me down and help me not worry when I was running a little behind for the wedding ceremony. She definitely moves fast and was able to take great detail pictures of my dress, jewelry, shoes, etc. She is someone that I definitely want to be present to capture new moments as our new family grows.

Have you ever met someone and thought, “Yup, we’re going to get along swell.” When my wife and I hired Leigh and Jay to shoot our wedding we both had this thought and realized this was one of the best decisions we made (except for you know, getting married). Leigh was very thorough in preparing to shoot our wedding. She had us fill out some quick wedding questionnaires, desired photo lists, and then had a meeting with us over Skype to chat about what we wanted and all the extra things we may have wanted photographed but may not have thought to mention. Leigh’s attention to detail is simply incredible, and her ability to recall information about the wedding after a brief conversation was frankly remarkable. On the day of the wedding we were pleased with their laid back shooting style that put even the most camera shy person at ease. They came with a plan for shooting bridal party and family photos, and went with the flow when things got held up with other parts of the wedding. They kept us on our timeline and made sure we had everything we requested. The photos that Leigh and Jay took are absolutely stunning. Leigh’s ability to find, and on occasion make, pretty light is one of the many things that make her an exceptional photographer. They also indulged our nerdy, playful side throughout the day (#lightsaber) and we had a lot of fun hanging out with them. It is important that you like your wedding photographer, you spend a lot of time with them on your wedding day. If you want stellar pictures and like to have fun and laugh a lot, I would suggest you go with Leigh and Jay.

Love love love! Leigh was recommend to me by another friend and I really liked her pictures. For us, picking a photographer was one of the most important decisions and we decided on Leigh because we loved her pictures and her personality! She was incredibly helpful through the whole process, and even made us a timeline for the day of the wedding. She, her husband Jay, and assistants were are easy to work with and fun. I was so impressed with the work of Leigh and her team at a friends wedding that it was if the utmost importance that I had to make her a part of my wedding. There wasn't a single missed moment or piece of undocumented love throughout our experience together. Do the right thing for your wedding and use Leigh for special moments.

My husband and I interviewed a few photographers for our June wedding because we had a specific vision we wanted to create. Leigh was able to bring that vision to life! (Very easily I might add!) Leigh and her husband Jay are two of the absolute best photographers I have ever met! Right from the first time we met I knew they were going to make my dream wedding day perfect, simply because of their amazing personalities! Not once did I stop laughing. They are hilarious! Towards the beginning I shared my concerns with Leigh (which side is my "better" side, I wanted more bridal shots and less party/dancing shots, etc.) She was able to personalize her list of pictures based on what I wanted. It was amazing. Leigh and Jay EXCEEDED all expectations. I wish I could get married again just to hang out with them!!

Leigh is AMAZING! Photography for our wedding was something my now husband and I took very seriously. These pictures are of the most important day of our lives and we wanted to make sure we had an experienced photographer who could capture them, afterall, its one day and you get one shot! We spent hours researching photographers. After reading all the outstanding reviews on Leigh, we reached out to her to set up a meeting. We met with her and feel in love with her personality and work, we signed a contract that night! It was the best decision we could have made! She exceeded all of our expectations and is so wonderful to work with! She will keep you smiling and laughing throughout the whole day too! Leigh was amazing she made our wedding pictures exactly what we wanted and more! She was so involved and took every single picture she possibly could. Her husband was right there with her helping every step of the way they were an awesome team! When my husband and I met we did the wobble together so we had to have that song at our wedding but we needed a reminder of how to do it and leigh stepped right on that dance floor and helped all of us do the dance best photographer I could have asked for to make our wedding complete Thank you both so much! I would recommend her to all brides! It's really hard trying to find the perfect photographer but I found mine!

Leigh was fabulous! I knew the moment that I met her that I had found the perfect photographer to capture our special day. Trust me, I had searched and met with quite a few photographers and I was about ready to give up on finding the right one. I am so thankful that I found her! She was kind, professional, and FUN!
