Leslie at Leslie Scotto Events did an absolutely incredible job planning our wedding and if you are looking for a planner you should hire her right now. Leslie (and Alison) helped us pull off an absolutely stunning wedding. We got married the backyard - so we had to build an event space from scratch. Covid threw our guest list into a blender. Planning an October wedding outside meant that any weather was possible. Yet, though-out the planning process Leslie guided us and our families with a calm but realistic outlook. No challenge was too great, but a common sense pragmatism helped us avoid pitfalls and focus on the things that were truly important for us. And Leslie shines brightest in the final stretch. In the weeks leading up to the wedding weekend she was everywhere - on site supervising the tent install, helping pick candles, coordinating all the vendors to build the perfect space. The night before the wedding she saw that our dancefloor was just a little steeper and slicker than expected and went out and bought carpet to make it easier for our guests to dance. This attention to detail can go overlooked until you look back and realize that it feels like nothing went wrong. The day before the wedding we were ready to help finish setting up only to find out there really wasn't anything left to do - everything had been done on time and the last few remaining tasks were already assigned out. All we had to do was enjoy the weekend. There are so many more things we could say, but the short answer is that if you are looking for a wedding planner you should absolutely hire Leslie and her team. They will work with you every step of the way and ensure that when it is time for the event everything has been taken care of and all that is left to do is enjoy it. PS - to couples planning your wedding, the only thing that Leslie will absolutely insist on is that you eat at your wedding. Another small thing that makes the day (and rest of the night) go so much smoother.

As the mother-of-the-bride I cannot possibly recommend Leslie and her team enough. From my first panicked phone call four months ago when our daughter and fiance decided to push forward with a fall wedding (in our backyard no less!) Leslie was confident, reassuring and optimistic that she could help us pull everything together in time. And did she ever! With steadfast diligence, incredible ingenuity, and pure determination to make everyone happy, Leslie took the vision we had for our daughter's wedding and made it a reality - a joyful, happy, memorable day that we will treasure forever. And because we had Leslie at the helm, my husband and I were able to enjoy every second of it which we will always be grateful for. Leslie and her team are pure gold - I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

It was so easy to work with Leslie and Alison! They made sure we stayed on track with deadlines and time sensitive decisions. Our vision came to life when we arrived to our venue at the Burr Mansion and everything was spot on! Leslie and Alison helped everything run smoothly during our reception and were always near by if we needed anything. Hiring a planner really takes the added stress of planning a wedding away, so if you are on the fence about it, DO IT! Leslie and her team were awesome! Leslie Scotto did a wonderful job helping to plan my daughter's wedding when it needed to be rescheduled from 2020 to 2021. She is very detail oriented and patiently worked with every vendor that we had hired for 2020 to cancel and then verify their availability for our new date in 2021. As bumps in the road arose, she met every challenge. She was calm and kept us calm and we knew that everything was under control as long as Leslie was on it. She has a great personality, is easy to talk to, and really listened to what was important to my daughter, the bride, and she made things happen. She has a lot of experience in planning weddings and also knew what the correct etiquette for everything was, right down to what is appropriate to tip each vendor. Because of her experience, she was able to give us a lot of good ideas and suggestions, but always listened to what the bride really wanted. My daughter had a beautiful wedding and I know that it would not have happened that way if it hadn't been for Leslie. I would recommend her very highly and without reservation.

Leslie helped me plan a very logistically complicated wedding in my husbands parents back yard in Connecticut. She didn’t forget 1 detail and organized all the venders seamlessly giving us the perfect beautiful end result and day of our dream :) thank you Leslie!

Leslie was a pleasure to work with, and such an important piece of our wedding planning process. She kept us on task with periodic check-ins and was always available to answer our questions. Her services were truly invaluable in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and on the wedding day itself. During this time we collaborated on a "master timeline" of the day, and she took care of all communications and coordination with our vendors. Our wedding day went flawlessly, and that is in no small part due to Leslie's hard work, talent and expertise!

Leslie Scotto Events helped us plan our dream wedding while navigating all sorts of COVID uncertainty and while we lived across the country. We used full service wedding planning and it was the best decision we could have made. It made the whole process so easy and we ended up with something that felt just ‘like us’, we were so impressed with her designs and ideas. She was on top of everything and no change or request phased her. She kept us excited and optimistic even throughout a challenging winter and wrangled a difficult set up timeline with our vendors and changing weather concerns. Things went so smoothly in such a hectic time, to be honest I’m not even sure how much was involved because she kept everything off our plates. I like to think of myself as an organized person but Leslie is something else! We were always 100% certain that things were under control and when the big day came things were perfect, even better than we could have imagined.

We could not have pulled off our big day without Leslie Scotto Events! She is incredibly flexible with her breadth of service. We needed less hands on early in the process, and all in toward the last 6-8 weeks. Leslie is always professional yet bubbly and happy to help in any way possible. Even while navigating COVID! She was 100% on top of any regulatory change regarding COVID. We had hit a low point in August regarding guest count, and had to cancel our DJ. Late September, the rules changed for the better and we were able to re-instate DJ services! She helped us pull that piece together with only 2 weeks left until the big day. Leslie has fantastic design ideas and for less creative folks like us, that is a HUGE help. In the final week leading up to the wedding, my stress level was next to none (other than excited nerves!) As a high anxiety individual, that was priceless. Any future event or party we may have, Leslie is the only person I would trust to help plan and execute. Our big day was perfect and we cannot thank Leslie enough!!!

Leslie did an awesome job helping me with my backyard wedding. With her help the wedding was a great success. She was able to work with my ideas and add special touches that went above and beyond my dreams.

I was unsure about the value of hiring someone to help me plan a couples shower for my son & his fiancee, but Leslie made the experience easy & had ideas I'd have never thought of. She thought of every detail and had connections to the vendors I needed. She was wonderful to work with, really listened to what I was looking for, and the event was so much better than I could have ever imagined.

My daughter’s wedding was at Penfield Pavilion in Fairfield and it’s a pretty DIY location - tables get set up, but the rest is on us. Leslie met with us several times to understand the bride and grooms’ vision and to plan the day to their exact wishes. She worked coordinating all of the different vendors (food, bar, music, flowers, officiant, rentals, venue etc.) and it was seamless for us. The actual wedding day exceeded my expectations. All we had to do was have fun - it was like we were guests at the wedding. She set it all up, took it all down - and made sure the wedding day flowed as planned. Leslie's humor and expertise are well worth the money -- I honestly can't image what we would have done without her.

We worked with Leslie for month-of wedding planning services and she was incredibly helpful! Our wedding venue required that nearly all vendors be brought in externally, which called for a lot of logistics and coordination. It was also in a location that was only accessible via a ramp (no vehicles!) In the months leading up to the wedding, Leslie made sure that all of our vendor contracts were in order and in line with our expectations. She personally got in touch with everyone and helped to coordinate the entire wedding venue set up and also helped to make sure our wedding ceremony ran seamlessly. She was always accessible, easy to work with, and helped find solutions to all our crazy ideas to make our wedding day was exactly as we had imagined it would be! Without Leslie there were a million little details that would have been forgotten and we are so glad that she was there to help!

Leslie was an amazing find for us to help us with our wedding day. Living in Canada made us a little anxious when trying to not stress over the wee details. Turns out we didn’t have to. Leslie took the time to get to know us and wherever we had little gaps or not sure how formal we wanted to be on some of the details, she knew exactly what we would like and she was right. We loved her suggestions, ideas...and just her in general. Other than saying I Do, hiring Leslie was my best decision.

Where to even begin! Leslie made our wedding dreams come true. We got married at Penfield Pavilion which is a barebones venue requiring everything to be brought in. Leslie helped us consider all the logistics and create our timeline, floorplan and plan for decor. Leslie was considered our day of coordinator but she did so much more than that. Leslie supported us for the full year before our wedding and completely took over coordinating vendors the month of. Leslie was so easy to collaborate with! By the time our wedding came, she felt like apart of our family. We feel so fortunate to have had Leslie on our team.

Leslie was the best, most helpful person at our wedding! She made all of our ideas and visions come to life! I never could have dreamed for a more perfectly put together event and it was all because she was there to organize our day! Many years ago Leslie helped at my grandmothers surprise party, my brother and I both used her at our weddings and she has become family to us!! My husband and I were married on 5/31/2019 at Penfield Pavilion, in Fairfield, CT. Leslie was unbelievable and great to work with. She was so attentive, accommodating and on top of every detail. She is truly a professional and was able to take all our ideas and execute our vision. Leslie was very familiar with the venue and has a great relationship with some of the best vendors in the area which was a big help when it came to coordination and communication leading up to our wedding. Leslie helped create a ‘day of’ schedule that kept everyone on track and the day of running completely smooth. Our event was seamless all due to her effort. We just got married on May 26 2019 at the Stamford Yacht Club. Our day was absolutely perfect and it wouldn’t have been possible without Leslie. Leslie came in to save us when we realized we couldn’t do everything ourselves. It was my dads idea to get a planner/coordinator and I’m so thankful we found Leslie! From the first meeting I knew Leslie would be perfect. Leslie has such a bubbly personality and always makes everything so easy. Leslie was able to seamlessly handle my sometimes difficult father- a task I still struggle with! Leslie was always on top of everything and usually when I asked her a question about something it was already completed. Leslie was always in communication with all our vendors and made my life so much easier! Leslie had such great ideas with signs and decorations for our wedding and it added the perfect touch! Leslie was always available to talk and ease my worries. Leslie found us the perfect favors and made awesome gift bags. Leslie always went above and beyond for anything we wanted or asked to add in to her responsibilities. Leslie was absolutely amazing on our wedding day and made sure everything was perfect! I am a messy eater and spilled several things on my dress and Leslie came to the rescue with wipes to get the stains out! Leslie walked our flower girl down the steps to make sure she got down safely. Just a few examples of how amazing Leslie is! Leslie doesn’t miss a beat and is always prepared for everything. Leslie is the best and we can’t thank her enough for making our day so special and amazing!!! We highly recommend Leslie- she will make your day just as special!

I just read a little of someone else's review that started off with "I am a pain in the A**, thought we could do it ourselves." Well they hit the nail on the head. I thought I could too, I started too... but thats just it. I started to but I needed help. Working full time as a nurse and my now husband a police officer, it was NOT feasible. (Even with an extremely involved mother, friends and family) So I will admit that while originally I did not want a wedding planner (because I thought I could do it myself and I didn't want to spend the money) it was HANDS DOWN the best decision we made. Not only did Leslie save me more $$ than she herself cost she took EVERYTHING I wanted and made it happen. (and was honest about what was not feasible- nothing is worse than a "yes ma'am" but then unable to execute what you want) Our wedding reception was at Burr Mansion in Fairfield and I believe we had the biggest wedding they've had yet (270 people) in a tent... we had to add tents and do so much ourselves. Leslie was amazing from the start. She met with us WITH our vendors, came to tastings, florist meetings, tent/rental meetings. EVERYTHING. She was by our side every step of the way. She worked hard to make sure we had everything we wanted, putting our needs first. We had so many special/personal touches incorporated into our day and she helped execute them to the fullest. We couldn't be happier (nor could our guests- thats a compliment we keep getting--that our personal touches really made everyone feel special) Everyone always says your wedding day is the best day of your life, I was a little nervous that my hopes would be up and the stress of the day and little details would not live up to that expectation. Once again, I was wrong.... it def WAS the best day of our lives... and apparently so many of our guests who are still raving about it. Honestly, if I can offer advice to any new bride to be or groom, it is to GET help. It IS worth it and you CAN'T do it all yourself. I'd be happy to answer any questions regarding her service, avaliability and things she did.... I have a million more things to write but I doubt anyone will read a review this long.

Where to begin?!  Leslie was the best partner we could have in fulfilling our dream wedding reception. Our vision was to have a casual Maine Lobster Bake with some elegant touches.  Lots of dancing and lots of fun… a party that was fancier than a backyard cookout but nothing too formal. There is no way we could have achieved our vision with out Leslie. From the beginning, Leslie was our partner in achieving our goal. It was a destination wedding in Maine. We selected a venue that did not offer all inclusive packages, so all vendors and services were “al a carte.” She took care of contacting all the vendors. Her intimate knowledge of all aspects of event planning allowed for clear communication with all of our vendors. She knew exactly what was required for our event and was able to effectively convey such to each vendor. She advised us on what made sense and didn’t make sense, and came up with creative ideas to make the party match our vision. The day of the party was stressless. Leslie took care of it all so we could focus on enjoying ourselves - she even did the flowers, which were gorgeous! Everything went on without a hitch! I would highly recommend Leslie Scotto Events in a heartbeat. She made it an easy and fun process leading up to the party and a joy the day of the event. I need to come up with another party to work with her again!

I have to start off by saying; I am the pain in the a** groom that insisted we did NOT need a Wedding planner/event coordinator. I was VERY adamant we could do it ALL our selves, I remember vividly saying “Why do we need to spend that money, I can go the morning of and set it up the way you want it”! I’m sure this is said by most grooms. So I am writing this to the people that “think” they can do it all yourself.. You CAN’T, everything you want done for your day add ups to hours and hours of work when you should be focused on your day and nothing else. I honestly regret being as stubborn as I was to hire Leslie, it was the BIGGEST relief once she came to our rescue! She took care of all the little details we could come up with and the ones we had NEVER thought of (Her experience really shines here!). During our wedding, my wife and I did not have to think about ANYTHING other than enjoying our day. In my opinion (now), you can NOT put a price on her services! Leslie is AMAZING! We had a DIY wedding but we needed someone to do our flowers and help with day of coordination. Weddings are exciting and stressful and she made our day stress-free so we could enjoy ourselves. She made sure that our vision was executed and that we were having fun. Leslie is AMAZING. We hired her to help execute our August wedding in New Haven, CT. Despite rain and summer heat, Leslie ensured that our outdoor tented reception was just as dreamy as we'd imagined. Her attention to detail, willingness do jump in, and creative vision were an invaluable asset. Among the many details and decisions that accompany wedding planning, hiring Leslie was BY FAR the best decision we made. I would work with her again in a heartbeat and recommend her to anyone planning an event--large or small--in the Connecticut area.

My fiance and I chose two separate venues for ceremony and reception, both which did not have coordinators or planners. We were clueless as to where to begin and were very fortunate to have friends recommend Leslie Scotto. We got in touch with Leslie probably 8-10 months before our wedding. Our first meeting we felt right at home with Leslie and hired her for day-of coordination. Leslie is approachable and makes it a point to get to know the couples she's working with, which is why I think she's so good. If she didn't make an effort to get to know the couples she is working with then there's no way she would be able to create a ceremony reflective of the couple. Leslie is detail oriented, organized, and on top of everything. She is resourceful and if she does not know the answer to a question she finds out. She investigates prices and vendors in order to find the best bang for your buck. About halfway through the process Leslie introduced us to Kristin, her assistant, who would be handling day of coordinator since Leslie had another event. Initially my fiance and I were nervous b/c Leslie handled everything herself, but were 100% pleased with Kristin. She was efficient, friendly, genuine, and CALM, exactly what you need as the wedding approaches! Leslie and Kristin were amazing. My fiance, my parents, his parents, and I all agree that the success of the wedding was due to their creativity, results not reasons attitude, organization, and calm demeanors. Besides deciding to get married, it was the best decision we made during the wedding process!!

Just had my wedding on July 14 at the Discovery Museum and Planetarium. None of it would have been possible without Leslie’s guidance, creativity and hard work. From the beginning Leslie had her work cut out for her because I have NOT been planning my wedding since I was a little girl, but I am an incredibly controlling person. Leslie somehow managed to figure out exactly what I wanted, while simultaneously taking all of the stress out of everything. The first time I met Leslie was at the venue where she showed us around the place. Since it was a kid’s museum – and there was an event going on that day – it was very crowded and chaotic with tons of kids and parents running around. I knew she was the right person because at one point a woman approached Leslie asking for help locating something. The woman assumed that Leslie worked at the museum because she looks like she knows what she is doing. Without skipping a beat Leslie pointed her in the right direction. I remember being so happy that Leslie was the type of person who is very approachable, but very clearly in charge. This proved to be true on the day of the event when everything was taken care of without my mother or me having to lift a finger. During the initial stages of planning I was having a hard time narrowing down a theme and deciding what I wanted. Leslie was very good about keeping us on track and helping us to be realistic about time and logistics. For example I became fixated on this idea of making paper flowers for centerpieces myself. Leslie was very encouraging, doing research and offering to help with the crafting and supplies. Thankfully I came to the realization that it was going to be way too stressful and went the traditional route of getting a florist. While Leslie was relieved for me that I made that choice, I also know she would have done everything she could to make it happen if I had decided to proceed. To summarize: Leslie was beyond encouraging of our ideas while simultaneously guiding us to make the right decisions. When the major planning began about 6 months before the event, I had just started a new job that was taking up a lot more time and attention than I had anticipated. Leslie was always able to work around my schedule and made every aspect of the planning process enjoyable and stress-free. Leslie met with us over a dozen times throughout and was always reaching out to give us updates or prompt us when decisions needed to be finalized. Not just once, but on two occasions I got nervous about falling behind schedule and Leslie met me at a café right next to my office in the middle of the day to go over things with me and reassure me that we were on track. To be honest I did not expect everything to go perfectly, because nothing ever does. It has been two weeks and I keep saying how I can’t believe that nothing went wrong. I went into it expecting there to be a few hiccups, if not one major mishap, but from the guests’ point of view and mine it was flawless. I am sure I don’t even know the extent of what Leslie did behind the scenes, but she made it look easy. I am sure there might have been some luck involved, but I think the majority of the credit goes to Leslie. There are a million things that can go wrong at a wedding, or any event for that matter, but you cannot go wrong with Leslie.

I truly do not know what we would have done without Leslie!! My wife and I were planning on doing everything ourselves for our wedding, but the further along in the process we got, we realized that we needed help. We were planning an outdoor backyard wedding and would have missed so many important things without Leslie's input. She also has quite an extensive network of local vendors that she helped us shop around to in order to find companies that met our aesthetic as well as our budget, which was not easy! Leslie is also very organized and not only helped us come up with a detailed schedule for our rehearsal as well as day-of, but also kept the day flowing seamlessly regardless of any and all hiccups that came up along the way. She worked her butt of the entire day and into the night, prepping for rain and reorganizing when the sun came back out, reset our tent between the ceremony and reception, guided guests as needed for anything that came up, and stood by her word to ensure that we noticed as few snafus as possible (my wife and I are just control freaks, so some things couldn't avoid our notice!). Overall, Leslie kept us calm and helped us host an event that we were SO proud of, and that we will never ever forget!

Leslie was amazing! We hired her to help us with our "Day Of Coordination" for our April wedding at the Inn at Longshore. It was the best investment ever. My fiance and I were engaged for over 12 months and when you're a bride, you want to do everything you see on Pinterest... Leslie helped make it happen and executed everything perfectly. She made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process and the wedding day was stress-free! Someone accidentally bumped into our cake table during the reception and totally shattered our ceramic cake topper! I didn't see it happen, but my family told me Leslie handled the incident like a pro and redecorated our cake using fresh flowers from the tables. It looked amazing! Thanks again, Leslie!!

I knew I needed the help of a day-of-coordinator at my wedding because we got married in the same room where we'd later have the party, and the venue itself had a manager that was very unresponsive. It was tough for me to find the right person because I am hyper organized and knew I'd be extra picky about the details and this person's work in particular. After meeting with a few different people and not feeling confident that anyone was the right person for the job, I met Leslie for coffee and we clicked immediately. She did not try to sell a cookie-cutter package but instead explained that she knows every event is different and she is there to figure out exactly what I need and the best way to help, and her prices are not too high. While I hired her for "day-of coordination" we began working together almost six months in advance and she never hesitated to answer my (often complicated) questions. The month and then week before she was very involved and I felt totally comfortable turning over the reins to her so I could relax and enjoy the party. She made sure to keep me in the loop with everything so I'd feel like I was still organized and in control, and she never stopped checking in to make sure everything was getting done. She created detailed timelines and floor plans for the wedding and made sure all the details were in place. After some trouble with the first tasting we had at our venue she took it upon herself to talk to the manager at the venue and get us a second tasting that ended up being vital for a great wedding day. On the day of I gave her very very (very!) specific instructions about all the details I wanted set up and how I wanted the room turned over and she executed it all PERFECTLY. I also have complete confidence that someone could hand over their entire event to Leslie (as another bride did and explained in an excellent review) and she would make all the right decisions! Everyone says something will go wrong on your wedding day, but absolutely nothing went wrong and I know that's because I had Leslie there!

We hired Leslie for full service for our wedding reception in our new home. We gave her a very short time frame & a tight budget. She has a good network of vendors so we didnt have to waste time researching various services. Leslie has a creative edge & she was able to personalize our reception so it reflected "our style" . If you are on a budget, she will be able to design a wedding without sacrificing elegance. A wedding planner is an investment to make "your day" enjoyable, stress free & happy. We highly recommend Leslie for full service wedding planning.

Leslie was a gem to work with. I did not make it easy for her. She jumped in two hours before my daughter's ceremony and took charge of everything that was forgotten or incomplete, including the seating chart! She made it so easy for us to be guests at our wedding. We danced the night away without a worry. I will definitely work with her again but I will give up to her expertise much earlier in the process. My advice to anyone reading this review is stop looking and RUN to book this talented and gracious professional!
