We really liked Alex during the consultation process. The days leading up to the event, he switched it to another DJ, Alexis. On the day of, Alexis was on time, kind, and easy to communicate with. The ceremony went great, no hiccups. Some things that could have been better is that he didn't get on the mic to try to get people to dance during the reception. During speeches, there was an issue with the best man not being available for a speech and he just awkwardly announced the next speaker. It was an awkward situation that was made a bit more awkward. He also didn't play a lot of the music we suggested he play (the genres). A few guests told us after the fact that they had requested songs as well that didn't get played. Overall, we had a good time but we were looking for more of a club/dance vibe and it was very subdued.
I was day of coordinator for recent wedding, he was very unprofessional during the whole experience. I called him to confirm day, time, and details. He mentioned it was "his business and I shouldn't question him" which was rude. When he arrived day of he was setting up as I tried to go over the song start/stop times details that were determined during rehersal the night before. He wouldn't talk to me. During ceremony, the song times were wrong. During cocktail hour, I had to ask him three times to put the speakers on the patio as discussed in our call. He was setting up photo booth during cocktail hour so wasn't paying attention to songs. I asked if I could finish setting up the hand held photo booth signs that guests would use and he said "no i dont like people touching my stuff"... im confused because evryone is going to holding these paper signs at the photobooth. He played multiple song from the "do not play" list and we had multiple people bride included to tell him to play the songs we requested. All around not a great experience with him.
Ruined my wedding. First of all - he didn’t even try to pull off the Co2 cannons that we purchased that he said was doable for our entrance - thank you for that HUGE waste of money. Second of all, for our first kiss song that we asked him to play at the end of our ceremony he just didn’t. Just thought, nah I’ll play whatever song I want to play. Perfect. Then we pay extra for “dancing in the clouds” effect for our first dance. That was honestly embarrassing for him, it looked like the building was on fire. THEN he interrupted my dads father of the bride speech with a terrible one liner joke which threw off the whole flow. Excuse me? Is this your comedy show? Then, (yes it continues) we had the venue until midnight, our guests were all on the dance floor and the clock strikes 11:00pm and he just shut off the music turned the lights on and started packing up. I wish this was made up. My husband went up and asked him what he was doing, encouraged him to turn the music back on and when he did he just put on elevator music to spite us. Such a child, so unprofessional and just gross. Our guests sat in a quiet room for an hour waiting for the final shuttle. Can’t believe we trusted this DJ. So bad.
