From early origins serving in & managing restaurants, to planning & running fabulous weddings & events, hospitality's in Lia’s DNA. Her career in weddings began in 2006 with Coastside Couture living & breathing all things wedding planning. She then combined her love of food & event planning as Events Manager at Feast For a King Catering.
Returning to her passion for producing events from start to finish, she started Lia Adams Events in 2017 & her business & capability has continued to grow ever since.

Sophie has been part of the Lia Adams Events family for the past five years. Though she started as part of our larger events team, she quickly earned her way into a lead planning position thanks to her attention to detail, initiative, responsiveness and genuine care for others. As an Enneagram 7, you'll find that Sophie is positive, kind, and outgoing. And, in addition to being an organizational wizard, she has the ability to remain calm, cool and collected - no matter how challenging a wedding day might be.
When she’s not placing out escort cards, wrangling the flower girls or carefully packing up your grandmother's toasting flutes, she enjoys surfing, spending quality time with close friends and family, and crafting ceramics.

- [ ] Lia and her team were amazing! I wasn’t looking forward to planning my wedding during a busy season at work, but her calm guidance made the whole planning process easy and smooth. She got to know our priorities and offered advice that made the evening super enjoyable for our guests. She drew on her wealth of experience with local vendors and gave me great suggestions. She knew all the quirks of our venue and offered clever workarounds to its limitations. The day of our wedding ran perfectly on time thanks to all of her diligent coordination behind the scenes. I would recommend Lia over and over again for anyone looking for leadership in the events space. Lia leads with so much compassion and confidence and was willing to go the extra mile and a half to make sure we were taken care of during our wedding journey. Truly cannot express how grateful we are for her willingness to always be there for us throughout. This is going to sound a bit cliche, but she felt like our sole savior during an experience that was full of unexpected twists and turns.
She’s a sound thought partner, and collaborator, and when things may seem stormy she provides the calm and expertise to keep everything going. She brought creative solutions for us to stay within budget (even save money), and she had amazing contacts to help us bring one of a kind elements to our event.
Felt like we became best friends throughout the journey.

From the first meeting we had with Lia, my husband and I knew this was the best investment we could have made in planning our wedding, especially since we had chosen a rustic venue that required us to bring lots in ourselves (eg., luxury port-a-potties, staff). Lia is experienced to know all the little quirks of planning a wedding and has a way of putting you at ease when you panic about something you hadn’t yet thought of - she is always ten steps ahead of you. On the day of, she made sure everything flowed smoothly and that we weren’t worried about any logistical details. Last but not least, she’s incredibly warm, fun, and down-to-earth, which made the planning process feel like a breeze. A surprising amount of guests came up to us at the end of the night telling us this was one of the best weddings they’d ever been to and we know Lia played a big part in making that a reality.

We looked far and wide for the right wedding coordinator, and I can say without a doubt that Lia is everything we could have possible hoped for in one.
She worked with us leading up to the wedding, offering her time, patience, and expertise in the wedding business. On the weekend of the wedding, she effortlessly executed on our vision and took care of every detail. The wedding day was perfect, from start to finish.
Her prices are also very reasonable, especially considering the level of service offered. She's been in the business for many years, and her deep connections to other local vendors made our life even easier.
I would wholeheartedly recommend her to help with your wedding - would work with her again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much Lia!

I wasn't going to hire staff for my small, 35 person, wedding, but boy am I happy I did!! Lia gave me the BEST crew. They took care of everything and were super professional and nice! I didn't have to worry about anything all night, it was perfect! I highly recommend!

Lia Adams handled staffing for our wedding at the Cowell Hay Barn in Santa Cruz last weekend and we literally couldn't have pulled it off without her. Professional, knowledgeable, and a dream to work with. Every time we got off the phone with her we felt relief and confidence that she had our wedding well in hand.
140 guests + bar + taco bar, her staff we're incredible and we will always be grateful for their efforts in making our celebration truly special. Thank you Lia!

I don’t know what we would have done if Lia wasn’t our day of coordinator, she was beyond helpful with our wedding planning. She was always available if we ever had questions, and coordinated our wedding from start to finish without any hiccups. As we approached our wedding day with high anxiety, Lia was always 10 steps ahead and managed/handled every single detail. SHE IS A GEM!

From our initial phone chat to our last vendor payment, Lia listens attentively, provides creative solutions, and never ever leaves you hanging. With Lia you'll feel heard, supported, and completely at ease on your wedding day.
Get this: during our first informational chat, she was ALREADY solving major logistical issues for us, and we hadn't even hired her yet! So, of course we hired her and I couldn't be happier that we did. Lia has some qualities that really make her stand out from the pack. She listens to your ideas, hopes, fears, and anxieties attentively. She focuses on problem solving quickly to give you peace of mind. And she NEVER leaves you hanging. She was always there to jump on the phone and chat things out. I felt so incredibly supported by her, and knew that I could trust her to be honest about what would and wouldn't work. For example: a few weeks before our wedding, we found out that the place we wanted to hold our private ceremony was no longer issuing permits. Lia immediately presented us with options - and had even put tentative holds on other similar ceremony sites before she even called us to deliver the news. No drama, just solutions. When we decided to surprise all our guests by having our ceremony at our reception, Lia helped us take our crazy and untraditional plan and pulled it off without a hitch. The best part is that even though I'm an extremely anxious person, I felt completely relaxed on the day because Lia had EVERYTHING under control. This is exactly the kind of planner you need in your corner when you're throwing the biggest party of your life. Lia, from the bottom of our hearts thank you so much for helping us throw the wedding of our dreams. We love you!

Lia and her team are FABULOUS! Throughout the planning and coordination process before the big day, Lia was incredibly responsive and helpful. On our wedding day it felt as if everything fell into place with ease - though I am sure that is because Lia and her team were on it! Her team communicated and coordinated with our other vendors seamlessly They treated all our guests with kindness and professionalism. Multiple of my guests asked after the event how I found such an amazing team! Absolutely would recommend Lia Adams Events!!
