Liazzos Catering

First, I'd like to say how absolutely incredible all of the food was. Everyone raved about all of our stations and the vast array of options provided. I was so sad the day we finished the to-go boxes Jessica and her team had packed up for us. The only thing that concerned me was the communication between Liazzo's and myself. It took me multiple emails and phone calls to be able to pay our deposit and several more to get a contract and confirm our menu. I was passed to a few other people who didn't know much about our wedding or preferences, so it seemed like there was poor communication internally, as well. The quality of the food and how seamless our day ran does not excuse the poor communication, however at the end of the day, everything was perfect. It was just a little bit of a headache to get there.

I am a wedding planner/coordinator and was working with a mother and daughter as they planned the daughter's special day. I have been in business 8 years and can honestly say that I have never worked with a more difficult caterer on several different levels. During the planning process they were hard to get in touch with, lost the credit card number that was given to them for the deposit, there seemed to be discord among the staff about who was to handle what, etc. We were able to get most of this worked out prior to the big day. However, once they were on site, the catering manager, Crystal, was rude numerous times to family members, myself and the photographer. Again, there was confusion about how things were to be set up and executed during cocktail hr, they ran out of bread sticks, which were at a self serve station, before all of the tables had been called to dinner. When asked, we were told that's all there was and that kids had been coming to get them. The truth is, they probably had been because it took over an hr to serve 90 guests for dinner. It was a select your own pasta station where it was cooked for you but when the family booked they were told they could serve this many guests in 30 minutes, no problem. In addition, some of the guest informed the family the next day that their food was served cold, as if they burner had gone out or something similar. Overall the family was VERY disappointed in Liazzos. I doubt very much that we are the only ones to have experienced this. I would definitely look for a different caterer.

If you are looking for fantastic food, then look no further. If you are looking for a professional and helpful staff to accompany it, then keep looking. You cannot have both with Liazzos. They catered our wedding and the food was absolutely amazing. The communication leading up to the wedding was unreliable. Our contact constantly had an excuse as to why she had not gotten back to us in a timely manner. When we called to pay the balance to the owner she could not even tell us our balance and wanted to take our credit card details anyways. We also drove 4 hours to pick up food for a tasting to go, due to COVID, to find that the girl that works the store front had given away our tasting to another person and then tried to put together whatever she had in the fridge to make up for it, which was not helpful as it was nothing we had picked out for our menu and all but the salad had meat and I am a vegetarian. On our wedding day we had a plated dinner, which they did a very poor job of serving. Our grandparents, sitting at the table next to us were some of the last people to be served and those at the table who had vegetarian meals were served after those with meat dishes. When we should have been enjoying ourselves we were annoyed with their poor customer service, yet again. I would NOT use Liazzos in the future. Great food should come with GREAT customer service.

My husband and I ended up choosing Liazzo's from a list of caterers that our venue recommended. We set up a tasting with them and everything was absolutely delicious! Their team was very friendly and gave us great suggestions (as we couldn't make up our mind!) They day of the wedding, they were punctual and set up everything beautifully. They even set up our desserts that we had hired from a different vendor. Several guests mentioned to us how awesome the food was and we agreed! The only thing they could have improved on is communication. They are slow to answer emails and return phone calls which caused some anxiety right before the wedding when we were trying to confirm details.
