Lily & Lime contracts out the actual video recording to a local videographer and then the footage and audio is sent back to Lily & Lime for editing and final delivery. Our videographer, Amanda, was wonderful and captured lovely footage while also remaining in the background during the event, and she was so kind and helpful about posing and asking for shots during photoshoot windows. Lily & Lime were one of the lowest-priced vendor options in our area and while our video is as expected (similar to sample videos on their site) and we think we got our money’s worth, there were some issues with communication and quality throughout the process: After signing a contract with them, we weren’t sent a copy and had to request it later. We provided the requested information about our event through their company portal, but the portal does not have any place to submit information about our style, videography preferences, inspiration photos/videos, provide music we wanted to include, or call out specific moments we wanted to highlight. We provided this information to our videographer who passed it along to Lily & Lime’s editing team, but it was unclear how we could contact the editors directly, making us feel like we would have little say in the outcome of the video. Leading up to the wedding, we received a flurry of emails about payment requests, filling out forms, and submitting various pieces of information, without us ever knowing the full timeline or having more than a week’s notice to submit things. This could have been avoided had the company provided an automated message outlining timeline, important deadlines, and what was needed from us either as email or in the original contract or in the company portal. After submitting the form to request the raw footage, we received no confirmation and later had to re-confirm the request with customer service. The price listed on the form did not include taxes, fees, etc. which felt misleading. Working with their customer service is a headache. Their representatives are very nice to communicate with, but every email sent to them (even as a reply) seems to start a new conversation with a new representative. As a result, we had multiple parallel email chains about the same topics, and would occasionally receive conflicting answers from different representatives. After receiving the final product (about 3.5 months after our wedding), we went through three rounds of edit requests, despite us leaving very detailed and specific requests each time. Many of our concerns were about audio quality, volume consistency, and chosen camera angles (avoiding having people in the shot). These were mostly addressed, which is great, but given they were very baseline quality requests, we expected these to be met in the original edit. In summary, Lily & Lime’s price point is one of the lowest and we are happy with the video we received, but their customer experience leaves much to be desired. If you have a local photographer/videographer team available, we would recommend working with them over a larger, more distributed company like Lily & Lime. (We hired a local photography team and loved the pricepoint, communication, professionalism, and final edit quality - with no revisions).
