Lily & Lime

Planning a wedding long distance was always going to be a challenge, but we really liked booking with Lily & Lime for our wedding. Because the photographers were familiar with our venue (potentially even more than we were) it was a breeze to plan out our portrait session. Prior to the event, having their wedding dashboard to make extensive notes about photos we wanted to capture or things to avoid gave us a sense of peace that helped balance out the other pre-wedding anxieties. Our photographers were friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible with our schedules when we (inevitably) hit small snags in our timeline. The only thing we did have challenges with were entirely technical, with multiple issues logging into the website as we got closer to our celebration. This wasn't enough for us to knock a star off, but it's good to keep in mind depending on communication preferences.

When we initially started our wedding planning- my fiancé and I absolutely agreed that having a photographer and a videographer were non-negotiable must haves. Once we started actually researching photographers and videographers it became immediately obvious that there are a lot of options out there! Our budget was something we were extremely conscious of so we were looking for a company/person that would fit within our budget and give us the best quality for our dollar. Enter Lily and Lime- I stumbled upon them while researching and we were both immediately thrilled with the pricing tiers that Lily and Lime offered and LOVED that we could choose our photographer. I loved that there were many different photographers to choose from, allowing us to choose a photographer that fit our mood and style. Daniel was out photographer and there are not enough words to describe how absolutely incredible he was, he made me feel beautiful on my wedding day, he captured the love between my husband and I on our big day so gorgeously, and he was such a kind person to work with. Our videographer, Randy, was a superstar! He was incredible in every way- he was so personable, and the video he captured of our day was so sweet, it is genuinely something we will treasure for our whole lives. I also love that he called a few days before our wedding to check in and make sure he knew us and had everything he needed beforehand. It made the day seamless. All around, I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Lily and Lime- my husband and I are so incredibly happy, and our beautiful wedding was captured in both photos and on video and something we can cherish for a lifetime.

Do not book with Lily and Lime. They are extremely unprofessional. Our photographer was switched not once, but twice — the second time just 23 days before our wedding! They are refusing to issue a refund, hiding behind their 30-day policy even though this situation was entirely their fault. They are the ones who switched the photographer less than 30 days. We’ve been trying to reach them through both email and phone with no response. Their lack of communication and accountability has made an already stressful time even worse. It feels like they go out of their way to make things difficult. Truly careless company. Better off just booking through anyone else.

Lily and Lime did our photography for our wedding, and we could not be more pleased with their work!! We picked a photographer that was close to our venue, and they took care of the rest! Their customer support team was thorough when it came to reaching out to us, and answered emails within 24 hours anytime we had questions. Our wedding was in Maryland, and John was our photographer. He did an absolutely incredible job capturing the most perfect moments for us on our wedding day. And he was so much fun!! He made everyone laugh all day and made everyone feel so comfortable taking pictures! He takes beautiful pictures of all of the intimate details of the day as well as gorgeous portraits! We also got our edited photos back within three weeks of our wedding day!! We highly recommend this company for photography!

We loved working with Lily and Lime! The office staff was always super quick to respond to our questions and we love the photos Klara was able to capture of our day! We were also able to receive a full gallery of our photos within a month!

Our photographer was amazing! She was fun to be around and captured all the important parts of our engagement session and wedding! Very affordable as well! 

Company is aweful. No consideration. I became chronically ill with POTS 2-3 months before the wedding and we had to cancel our services. But instead of refunding the second deposit right away they tried to charge us almost the full amount as a cancelation fee. Had to fight several emails and tell them how aweful it was that they were trying to charge us the whole Amount even tho we were canceling Two months before especially considering my medical condition. Will not be using Lilly and like when I am able to get well enough to have the wedding….

Andy P did a fantastic job with our wedding's photography! I really appreciate the quality and variety of photos he took. Neither my husband nor I have really had professional photography done before, so some of the poses he had us do seemed strange at first, but I'm so glad we went with it! All of the pictures came out looking natural and wonderful. We're so grateful he was there to capture our special day. EDIT: While all of the above is still true, the back-end experience with Lily & Lime following the wedding has been simply abysmal and has completely changed my opinion of the company. First, we'd purchased a print package discount: 2 photo prints for the price of 1. A month after the wedding, their shop was open for us to purchase prints and the like, but we hadn't received the coupon we'd bought. We didn't end up receiving it till after emailing them another two times. We also realized we'd like to spend the discount on an album instead of just prints. Mind you, this meant we'd be spending *more* money with them overall and, given that, we hoped to apply the credit toward the album. Their customer service team told us this would be fine, then proceeded to misquote us the price (even after I sent screenshots of their own shop page showing the correct price, TWICE) and mislead us about how this discount would be applied. I last reached out to them over 2 weeks ago and have not heard back. Book your photographer with them if you must, but I would not recommend giving them any more of your time or money. 2nd EDIT: After the first edit listed above, I took my review from 5 stars down to 2. Now, I must regretfully take it down to 1. In response to my edited review, I did hear back from a Lily & Lime representative who attempted to refund the money we had paid toward the discount, as we never used it. The refund took twice the quoted length of time, but ultimately did go through. Mind you, I would have continued to hear radio silence if I didn't resort to discussing this in public via reviews. After the refund was processed, I thought my business with Lily & Lime was concluded. I thought wrong In the weeks since, I received multiple emails from Lily & Lime requesting that I post a review to improve their chances at winning the "Best of The Knot Award". I declined, given my previous experiences, and requested that they not contact me again. Yet, what did I wake up this morning to find in my inbox? You guessed it!!! Another email about this. They are incapable of taking any kind of request seriously, or worse, they are incapable of applying restrictions on contact when they *know* they should. They do not have an "unsubscribe" option from their mailing list, so this is all sent by individuals - meaning they're so incompetent that they have no way of flagging client accounts with any kind of "Do Not Contact" warning. They will NEVER remove you from their mailing lists, even long after your wedding. They will continue to harass you and spam you and ignore you when you ask them to stop. I hate this company. I wish we'd never booked with Lily & Lime.

BEWARE!! Lily&Lime as a company is a scam and will predatorily take you for all you can give. We booked with over a year in advance and paid in full for our wedding. Two months into the planning stage we requested to change our date, which is still 10 months out from the wedding date. We were slapped with a $400 charge to change the date which is our fault I guess. We paid since we have no other choice. Once we finished the shoot we requested the RAW files since in our package they state we will receive the "digital negatives". 5 weeks of back and forth later Lily&Lime defines their "digital negatives" as their edited JPEGs you receive at the end. If we want to buy the original uncompressed unedited RAW files that's an additional $1000 on top of what we've already paid. That is ridiculous! Everyone unanimously consider ".RAW" files to be the equivalent to "digital negatives" since the negative is the ORIGINAL FILM on film cameras. Their terms of service doesn't even define what their "digital negatives" are now we just have trust what they say after the fact? It cost nothing for them to give us what we paid for when we signed the contract but we're at their whim. Our experience with the photographer itself was no better. We've had experience hobbiest photographers and professional photographers in the past. These are by far the worst pictures I've ever seen. The photos we received in the end were absolutely horrendous and are unsalvageable in their current state. The exposures completely off, each photo is overblown and the sky is completely white. The composition of the photos are terrible, most shots we're so far away the completely white sky is literally all you notice. I don't think the aperture was ever touched since none of the photos look cinematic, but since we're so far away in each shot that would had done nothing anyways. We were never once directed how to pose or adjust our position. We literal have ONE SINGLE PHOTO from our FIRST DANCE. How is that possible!!! In total we receive 537 photos in the 8 hours we booked. How many of them do we actually like? None since we end up using my hobbiest friends photos from the wedding instead. AVOID!!

We had such a wonderful experience with Lily & Lime Photography! Our photographer, Tori, was absolutely amazing; professional, friendly and so easy to work with. She arrived right on time and captured every single shot we requested, plus so many beautiful candid moments. I even had to change the photography timeline at the last minute, and she handled it with complete ease and flexibility. The photos turned out stunning, and I’m so grateful to have these memories captured so perfectly. Highly recommend!

My husband & I used Lily & Lime for our wedding in January. It was a wonderful experience and our photographer Adam was great. The pictures turned out and with Adam’s help everything ran smoothly!

I had a lead photographer, associate photographer and a videographer. They were all professional, arrived on time and followed our schedule. I highly recommend lily & lime!!

I loved how the pictures turned out, and the photographer was very helpful and did his homework in studying our timeline. I liked the portal setup and it helped in planning out the events. The communication through email could have been better, and I also would have liked to have talked to the photographer more than a week before the wedding to get to know his personality better.

They were the best deal in town and they have very talented photographers/videographers on their team that did an amazing job! Jessica was so friendly and made us feel so comfortable and her pictures came out gorgeous. Paul was so fun and his video made us cry. Thank you for an amazing experience!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Lily & Lime for our wedding and we especially enjoyed working with our photographer Josh. It was definitely stressful planning for all elements of the wedding but Lily & Lime with their reminders, follow ups, and fast responses helped give us one less thing to worry about. We are very happy with our photos and would recommend Lily & Lime to all couples getting married in the future.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Lily & Lime for our wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional, and we are absolutely thrilled with our photos.

Lili & Lime seemed like the perfect fit initially. However, on my wedding day, I wished I had worked with a different company to find my photographer and videographer. I gave them a 2-star rating because even after all the disappointment, I loved the photographer and videographer we ended up with and would work with them independently again. Initially, Lili & Lime asked us to pick a photographer and videographer, and we did. Some weeks later, they sent a message saying the people we had chosen were unavailable and they sent us a list of 3 to pick from instead. We did. The conversations over email seemed promising and we thought they would lead us to a stress-free wedding day. However, 2 days before the wedding, the videographer sent an email asking similar questions we had already answered to Lili & Lime. Then, a day before my wedding, the photographer wanted to get in contact to ask the same questions, yet again, that we had answered to Lili & Lime and the Videographer. I forwarded the email. I found out on my wedding day that the videographer, the photographer, and the assistant don't talk to each other until they all show up on the wedding day. On the wedding day, each had a different address of where to arrive. There was a lot of miscommunication and only the photographer showed up to the right location. The groom missed an hour-long session with the assistant photographer because she had been given the wrong address and was at a different location. The correct addresses and itinerary for the wedding day had been communicated with Lili & Lime before. There is no reason why this should have happened. The groom tried to get in contact with Lili & Lime and had no luck. Customer service was closed. It was very stressful. It just so happened the lead photographer had worked with the assistant before and he was able to get in contact with her. Otherwise, I'm not sure she would have found the right place and we would have had to continue our day with a missing photographer. I would avoid using Lili & Lime services to hire a photographer and videographer again.

I would highly recommend Lily and Lime for your wedding photographers! Our lead photographer was Tracy and she was great to work with. Our associate photographer fell through a few days before the wedding and Lily and Lime were very apologetic and found an other associate photographer who was available for our wedding day. We received our photos a few weeks after our wedding and had over 2,000 photos to look through! I would refer any couples who are looking for professional photographers for their wedding day to Lily and Lime!

We had Shawna as our photographer and she was amazing to work with. She didn’t force us to stand forever taking pictures and kept the day moving and was very laid back. We’ve only gotten some of the pictures back so far but they look great. Highly recommend her!

We weren't originally planning on getting a photographer since we thought it would be out of our budget but I decided to look anyways. We found Lily and Lime and saw that the price was super reasonable so we went with it. The service was excellent and the photographer was super awesome. We are so glad we decided to get a photographer and if you're on the fence as well then I would really recommend Lily and Lime.

The whole process was great, our planner was very responsive and helpful. It was very easy to hire a photographer, and we were very happy with his manner and the quality of the photos. Would highly recommend Lily and Lime for your event.

The team at St Irene's are fantastic. They were so friendly and kind, they walked us through every step of the process with ease amd were so accomodating. And the food was so good! Paired with a great facility that is easy to get to, we couldn't have been happier with a different venue.

We had a great experience with Lily & Lime, our photographer had to cancel a week before our wedding and Lily & Lime did a great job finding a replacement for us that we loved and fit in so well with the day. Everything was easy from booking, to entering our wedding details, to communication with our Manager. Would highly recommend!

My photographer was AMAZING! However I wish I’d found her on her own, rather than through Lily and Lime. Her editing looked fantastic on her personal business account, but turns out she doesn’t even edit my photos, she just takes them. Also the lack of communication with the company isn’t cool, and the fact that I don’t get any sneak peeks. Not one photo until my whole album is ready 6-8 weeks later 🙄. Which is a real bummer since we had an entirely unplugged wedding! I have no photos of my most special day :( Friends of mine used Lily and Lime and got sneak peeks within a week…. Not sure what happened with me!

Very professional and seems to be everywhere. We have so many great photos and memories that were captured.

I recommend Lily and Lime to anyone planning a wedding. Their customer service was great whenever I had questions and my photographer Scott did an amazing job at catching all of the best moments. I got SO many pictures, it’s unbelievable that he did everything he did with just being one person.

The photographer was amazing and our pics turned out fantastic! Any questions I had pre and post wedding were quickly answered by the Lily & Lime team.

We got some beautiful photos and the photographers and videographer were so nice. Some of the indoor photos weren’t as great, but that’s probably due to the lighting in our venue rather than anything the photographers did. Still waiting on our video (almost two months since our wedding day), but we got our photos right on time. Prices for prints on their site seem too high (and the site itself isn’t the easiest to use), but we did get a print credit and the cost overall was good.

SCAM!! You are not talking to a “planner”. You will speak to a different underpaid customer service representative each time. They refuse to let you speak to your photographer until the week before your wedding, and in my case our photographer CANCELED two weeks before our wedding. Had to fight for my money back. READ THE CONTRACT and DO NOT book these people unless it’s absolutely your last resort!! You will REGRET it.

My wife chose Lily and Lime for our photos and I was nervous when she explained it to me but our photos turned out great and our photographer was everywhere and captured some great photos of the party. I would not be nervous if we used Lily and Lime again in the future.

Lily and Lime made our experience a breeze! The price is unmatched and the quality is AMAZING! We have THE BEST wedding photos thanks to our amazing photographer Alicia. As someone who is camera shy she made us feel comfortable and didn’t miss any details. Everything was so organized and our gallery got back to us so quickly. Truly the best company to book with for your wedding in my opinion.

My wife and I got married back in April. I didn’t do much of the choosing with vendors but choosing Lily and Lime my this wedding journey for my wife less stressful. The customer service at Lily and Lime is outstanding. My wife’s questions were always answered in a timely manner and everyone there are so kind. Our photographer Matthew was amazing too. Lily and Lime are the best! Their customer service is outstanding. I had questions along the way and Every time I would ask a question, they would get back to me in less than 24 hours!! Everyone there were so kind too and always made me feel at ease. I chose Matthew as my photographer from Portland, Oregon and he was amazing! I am such an awkward person when it comes to photos but Matthew made it fun and just so easy! His portfolio is stunning too!! I am so happy I went with Lily and Lime, I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you again for making this experience amazing for me.

I went with Lily and Lime after little luck pursuing photographers I was familiar with and I was very hesitant up until our photographer, Josh, showed up. The communication with lily and lime prior to the event was up and down- very automated. I did not get to pick my photographer- when I entered my date and location the website said only one photographer was available that day- fine and dandy but I did not know who the photographer was until the week before our wedding. I was just looking for peace of mind there was a real human designated to work my wedding and I wanted to look at their work. Josh Krause, our photographer, has done beautiful work and was punctual and professional. He was familiar with our venue and was very perceptive to my vision for our big day. He was everywhere and captured so many great photos. So many of my guests thought he was a family friend and commented on how great he did at being everywhere. Our photos were returned to us in 32 days which I was pleased about. Some of the editing looks like it could be better but that’s not left up to the photographer in this situation. I am very excited to get our photo album! I would use Lily and Lime again if I was in a similar situation as before- unable to book my preferred photographers. For the price I am very happy for the services provided.

Going through this company was so amazing! Photography can get so expensive especially for a wedding but we got two photographers for very affordable and our photos turned out so beautiful! The photographers we professional and very personable and we got our photos back in a timely manner. Would highly recommend this company!
