The florals turned out beautifully and you can't deny her talent, but where she fell incredibly short for us was in customer service, organization, and kindness.
Upfront we gave her a mood board, photos of the venue, estimated guest count, number in the wedding party, estimated tables, rows, etc and were quoted at a price that seemed fair. The first time we met in person, we were told she would have a centerpiece for us to take a look at and a few options of colors to play around with. However, when we showed up she apologized that she was low on stock and we didn't have much to look at. We went over the estimate to finalize, but she spent a majority of the time talking about how busy she was and all the events she was responsible for, leaving us feeling incredibly unimportant.
We met at the venue to walk through and discuss the final vision. She showed up with a centerpiece that was gorgeous yet completely off the color scheme. We had discussed that we wanted fall colors including ivories, deep burgundies, burnt oranges and general darkness overall. She showed up with bright summery true reds and oranges. We gave her feedback and she said she would make a revised arrangement later that week. She told us she was going to go to the flower market and send us more options and then the day she was supposed to she texted and said she had no orders and wasn't going to go. Another week went by and she finally went to the flower mart and sent over a revised arrangement which we felt looked great and we were relieved to feel like we were mostly aligned at this stage.
We received a revised estimate and the price had DOUBLED. I wrote out exactly what had changed in the list from our original estimate and questioned why it had gone up so much. Her response was that the price of florals had gone up in general, but also that the "flowers we chose" were expensive. I had to ask her to problem solve with me and provide recommendations.
We never saw a final arrangement. She shared a previous version image and a writeup of what else she was going to add. She sent me an invoice with final flower choices we agreed on one night, then in the morning began texting me photos of other flowers we had not talked about for me to review. When I said I was uncomfortable not having agreed on flowers before she placed an order for them, I was asked "what did I want from her" and was told to "let her do her job". I simply explained that I was confused and she said I am not changing the flowers from last nights estimate.
That weekend at the wedding she came in, dropped the flowers without saying much, and just left. Didn't even set up the groomsmen just said "they're labeled in the box here you go" and bounced. My coordinator had to chase her down because we had agreed the mothers would get corsages (especially as one is handicapped and cant carry flowers) and she showed up with nosegays. She said "sorry I was told nosegays I have nothing to help tie them onto wrists" and drove off.
Very unreliable, confusing, and unpleasant overall. We have been nothing but kind, patient, and understanding throughout the entire process only to be met with unprofessionalism. We regret not going with the other florist options as their prices were better and they were much more organized and kind and collaborative. If you are looking for a florist that you want to have minimal communication with and to just come up with something beautiful and drop it off she's your girl.
Lily Pad Floral Design knocked it out of the park for our recent micro-wedding. Rebecca is the friendliest, most easy-going true artist. From the very beginning when I sent her many emails and had an initial phone conversation to get an idea of her work and our budget, to when we went in person (pre-COVID!) for a consultation when she wowed my mom with her quick understanding of our vision, Rebecca was wonderful. She was also quick to respond to numerous questions and requests for changes after we changed our original wedding date and venue and made some tweaks to our flower plans as a result. The flowers at our wedding were even more stunning than I had imagined, and my only regret is that we aren’t local because if we were, I’d use Lily Pad Floral for all of my floral arrangements for any occasion from now on!
Holy crap, Rebecca is AMAZING! She made my entire wedding unbelievably gorgeous. She can literally take your idea and create something that will COMPLETELY blow you away!!! I got so many compliments on the arrangements she did- when I saw them, I was in AWE. She even made me a flower crown that made me feel like a queen! She is absolutely awesome and I highly suggest you do your wedding florals with her because you DEFINITELY will be amazed!
Rebecca did an amazing job with the flowers for my ceremony and reception. Everyone was amazed at how beautiful the centerpieces were, and she has a natural eye for making any ceremony space look ten times better. Highly recommend!
My wedding flowers were amazing! Even better than I had imagined. Becca was so easy to contact and she really got my vision in just the one time meeting we had. She did samples for me at my food tasting which helped so I could see exactly what they would look like. She even did extra on the day of which really added that extra touch. I highly recommend and would use her for any other occasions I may have.
For our recent wedding, I wanted to find a local florist and I happened upon LilyPad flowers. We had a short meeting with Rebecca and knew she was the “one” for us! We didn’t want many flowers for our wedding- just an aggressive bouquet for me and corsages and boutonnieres for our bridal party and parents. I had a few ideas that I shared with Rebecca, and I received one of the best surprises on my wedding day when I got my bouquet. It was beyond words stunning!!!!!!!!!!!! Rebecca is a floral genius!
I received so many compliments on my bouquet, and the corsages and boutonnieres. Rebecca’s arrangements were beautiful, and exceeded every expectation I could possibly have. I was impressed with her work based on the pictures I saw when looking for a florist in the South Bay, and was just floored when I saw the bouquet she made for my wedding. THANK YOU REBECCA!!! I am still in awe of the work she did. I am trying my best to preserve the bouquet so I can admire its beauty forever J
Rebecca created such magical, beautiful pieces for our special day and was easy to work with! I would highly recommend her for your floral needs- especially wedding!
We used Lily Pad Floral for our wedding in November and they were absolutely wonderful! Rebecca was so patient and thorough during the planning process, listened to exactly what we wanted and helped us choose the perfect flowers for our day. She was incredibly responsive to emails and was so flexible in helping things fit in our budget without sacrificing anything we wanted. The flowers on the day were absolutely gorgeous, looked amazing in all of the photos and stayed looking beautiful the entire day.
We had our wedding On January 16, 2016 and our wedding planning went back into mid 2016. Unfortunately, finding a florist isn't that easy, but from the minute we contacted Rebecca at Lily Pad the whole process became a breeze! Whether it was sending dozens of little tweaks to our quote, helping us go from Pinterest to reality, or any other concern, she was always quick to respond and come the day of the wedding, made everything we discussed a reality! Everything was done punctually, professionally, and perfectly! I would 100% recommend Lily Pad to anyone!
I came to Rebecca with a very specific vision of what I wanted for our ceremony and she did a really phenomenal job making everything come to life. She was very personable and quick to respond to emails, and handled the job with ease. We were so happy with how everything turned out and I highly recommend her services.
I picked Lily Pad because my friend had beautiful flowers at her wedding done by Rebecca. I went into Rebecca intending to have her just do ceremony flowers as I was doing everything else, but by working with me and being so great I decided to have her do my bouquet and couple other items. Compared to other vendors with the same quality she was a great value and she was so chill to work with. She was on-time, willing to try something new that I had seen on a blog, and did a great job and all at a reasonable price. Just fabulous!
Lily Pad Floral did an excellent job with our wedding. Rebecca was fabulous and gave us exactly what we wanted. My bouquets were absolutely stunning and all the flowers were perfect. I would highly recommend this flower shop to anybody!!
We couldn't have been happier with our flowers!!! WOW!!!!! AMAZING!!!! Rebecca of Lily Pad perfectly captured our essence and style with the most amazing pieces for our wedding in Palm Springs. My bouquet was magical--she so got my personality and the look I was trying to achieve. And she created the most unique and creative pieces for our ceremony that was in an orchard of trees using lanterns full of flowers—they were utterly gorgeous.
Rebecca did the flowers for my sister's wedding in 2006, recreating cherry blossoms in CA in August by gluing white blossoms on branches. They were so beautiful, I still have them! We also recommended Rebecca to a friend in 2008. This year, it was my turn! I did meet with another florist (a friend) before Rebecca, but either because of her talent or by coincidence, Rebecca totally got my vision (all green flowers) from the very beginning so the choice was easy. Her price was reasonable, she had great creative ideas that helped solve random problems that came up during the wedding planning, and like I said, she totally got my vision from the beginning so the whole experience was easy! I loved how everything turned out and would readily recommend her to anyone else who needs a wedding florist.
Followed what I wanted in color scheme and flowers. Creative. Not too expensive.
The owner of Lily Pad is absolutely amazing! Not only is she extremely talented but she is so organized and helpful. I was having a wedding in San Diego and she made is so easy and stress free. Whenever you have a vendor traveling long distances you wonder if everything is going to make it there okay and fresh. Everything was perfect! The one thing I loved the most about her is I never even knew she was at the wedding. She didn't call me to ask me any questions on the wedding day which would of stressed me out. I came into the ballroom and everything was set up, she even put in some extra floral touches in places she thought it needed it. I was blown away at how she handled my big wedding. She wasn't scrambling at the last minute to get it all set-up and she never once looked stressed or concerned, for me that was a big deal. I wanted someone with the confidence to deal with any problems that came up and not bother me unless it was a huge design issue. The florals were also over the top and beautiful. Everything was exactly like we disgusted, no surprises. If you want a florist that is organized, super creative and extremely professional, Lily Pad is the place!
I got to say looking for a florist was tough. I went with my friends florist because at least I knew what to expect and the price was the best quote we received (got 5 quotes prior)
Pros:1) Rebecca is down to earth and super helpful
2) The flower arrangements where huge with not a lot of fillers
3) She worked with our budget and didn't make us feel bad about our budget
4) She tried to give us exactly what we wanted and match the pictures we brought in... she even when to downtown several times looking for the right vases :) How awesome is that!!
5) Her staff and mother were super nice.Cons: None
The flowers came out beauifully and they looked expensive :) So so happy with how they turned out.
My flowers could not have been better. They were beautiful and Rebecca was great to work with. She easily accommodated me with some last minute changes and/or additions and she did everything I requested and more. She was professional, timely, and had the courtesy to inform me that my coordinator had never checked in with her (good to know!). The only thing I would change about my flowers is I would have bought MORE! Thanks Rebecca!
Rebecca is the Best! We met a year before my wedding and we came up with a visual for both the ceremony and reception.... I was amazed and overwhelmed at how beautiful everything came together!
She completely understood my vision and was helpful in arranging the rental of table lamps that I wanted. The final product was exactly what I wanted and almost half the price of a previous florist I interviewed.
Whats not to love?! She was incredible! She was great at helping us pick flowers that were in season (and less costly) and coming up with beautiful, creative arrangements. She made a sample of each piece to show us prior and they were everything I dreamed of! When she delivered everything to the reception site, she saw that the chair covers had not been put on, the tables for place cards and guest favors hadn't been set up... so she took it upon herself to make sure it all got done! Above and beyond the call of duty!!!
Flexible, responsive, creative, reliable.
