Could not have asked for a better venue. Alexa and the rest of the Linden Row Inn staff went above and beyond to help make our wedding perfect!
Incredible venue and hospitality. Your guests will love staying at the Hotel and the wedding venue is a perfect touch of the South
Linden Row Inn is truly a Richmond treasure. If you're looking for historic ambiance, elegance, antiques, and rich history...Linden Row has it all. After looking at venues throughout Richmond and Charlottesville, I knew Linden was my spot for portraits and it quickly turned into our wedding venue. We booked a parlour suite for portraits and stayed the night - such a fun experience and the tall ceilings and decor made for beautiful photos. We considered renting out their beautiful courtyard, but instead selected the Parlour Suite Elopement option and kept our ceremony very small and intimate - choosing to have a larger party at a restaurant nearby afterwards. Big shout out to Casey & Alexa for being so responsive and easy to work with; we booked several suites and rooms for our guests. They accommodated our requests for our older guests and easy-to-access rooms and our entire party really enjoyed the inn. We used a suite for the bride & a suite for the groom and it was plenty of space to get ready. This inn has all the character and so many spots for gorgeous photos. They also have options like the Suite Elopements and can do bigger parties in the courtyard. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for a wedding venue that captures the magic and beauty of a historic location, while adding in its own flair and charm, look no further than Linden Row. My husband and I are truly in awe of how stunning, romantic, charming, and timeless this venue was. Not only is Linden Row a historic venue that is timelessly preserved, but it is located centrally in the heart of Richmond, with all the fun elements it has to offer. Complete with its stunning courtyard, magical tree canopy, and rustic brick, the Linden Row is the perfect place to have a wedding.
Beyond its inherent charm, Linden Row is convenient for guests and couples alike. Our guests loved that they could stay on-site for the wedding, grab a bite at Parterre during the weekend, and retire to their cozy room or suite at the end of the night. As a bride, the fact that we could do everything in one location was a game-changer. Additionally, I would recommend the suites to anyone who is getting married--the floor to ceiling windows, beautiful details, and historic elements make for stunning photos.
In addition to the location itself, Linden Row's value is in its professional staff. Specifically, Casey, Alexa, and the entire team were invaluable in making our day a success. They worked flawlessly with our vendors, were extremely flexible throughout the entire process and wedding weekend, and executed our vision to a tee. I can confidently say not a single thing went wrong on our wedding (which is very rare) and in fact the wedding was even more magical than expected.
Linden Row is truly a rare find. As a budget-conscious bride, I found its value to be incredible, and beyond that it is a place we can return to for years to come to celebrate the memories of a wonderful wedding.
When my husband and I toured Linden Row, we immediately knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding. Casey & her team are so helpful and communicative, and throughout the long processes of planning our wedding, delaying for Covid, and finally moving forward, she made everything as smooth as possible. We finally had our wedding last weekend and everything went so great. My guests were highly complimentary of the Linden Row staff, and the setting is just so beautiful. It was the perfect spot for our wedding! Getting ready in the bridal suite is also so special, because it's so gorgeous and perfectly "Richmond". I am so glad we got married here and would absolutely do it all over again!
Linden Row Inn was the perfect wedding venue. My fiancé and I knew we wanted to have a small, ~50-person wedding, and searched high and low for venue that was right-sized. We finally found Linden Row Inn and it was everything we were looking for. Their garden courtyard space perfectly fit our guests for an intimate ceremony-turned-reception-turned dance party (although, a true testament to how great and versatile the venue is - the space is able to seat up to 125 guests). We had ample time to set up before the event and clean up afterwards, and they graciously allowed us to store our personal items in their meeting room before and after the wedding. My fiancé and I, as well as a majority of our guests, stayed on-site in their various suites and guest rooms - we had the most enjoyable stay and received nothing but great feedback from our guests as well. Linden Row Inn’s historical charm also made for the most beautiful photos. The inn has so many unique hallways, balconies and nooks and crannies for photo locations. But what really made Linden Row Inn so wonderful was their people. Casey and Alexa worked with us from start to finish and were an absolute pleasure to work with. From our initial FaceTime tour of the property until their post-event outreach, they were fantastic. They were responsive, professional, flexible and somehow never lost patience with me even after what must have been my 1,000th email to them with questions. They were incredibly knowledgable and helpful and I felt like they truly cared about my event. Linden Row Inn is a beautiful venue made even better by incredible people. I would highly recommend it to any couple.
When we got engaged in December of 2019 and began our search for our wedding venue, Linden Row ticked every box on our list. We were enticed by the convenience of this almost all-inclusive style venue. Our guests stayed in the Garden and Main House rooms, parents and wedding party stayed in the suites which were perfect for getting ready (and ABSOLUTELY stunning...and HUGE!), taking photos the day of the wedding and general hospitality spaces to entertain friends and family throughout the weekend. We also booked our Rehearsal Dinner nearby so guests were able to walk to dinner the night before and bar hop throughout the neighborhood in anticipation of the festivities that were to come. The bricked over, intimate garden space provided the perfect backdrop that does not require over decoration and the in-house catering through Groovin' Gourmets was absolutely delicious. Their team knocked it out of the park as they handled the set-up, turnover from ceremony to reception and break-down at the end of the night. It honestly felt like we didn't even have to lift a finger and their team was on top of the details before we could even think about it. At the end of the night any guests that were interested in keeping the party going we had coordinated with the in-house restaurant, Parterre, to stay open so our guests could continue to enjoy their time together. This was so convenient so no one had to worry about even leaving the hotel, they could just walk to the restaurant inside, have a few drinks and then head upstairs to go to bed. We enjoyed brunch at Parterre the next day before family and friends parted ways, it was just the perfect weekend and I would not have changed a thing. The Linden Row team made this all possible from their outstanding front desk team to the sales department helping keep all of the details straight-10/10 would recommend, do not overlook this awesome venue!
We were looking for somewhere with the charm of old Richmond but has progressive values. We feel like we got that in this venue.
Casey with Linden Row Inn was amazing to work with. We used Linden Row for our intimate reception of about 70. We tented the courtyard and it was so beautiful for our early summer wedding.
Casey knows the ins and outs of the venue and was able to work with our vendors regarding any logistics with set up, take down, space limits, etc. She was flexible and understanding, especially since we had to postpone due to COVID.
It was nice that our family and friends could stay right at Linden Row by booking through the room block we had set up. Also, their suites are amazing and huge! I'd strongly recommend booking one or two for getting ready on the day of your wedding. My room could easily fit my bridesmaids and moms as we were getting our hair and make-up done. There was another suite across the way for my partner so we wouldn't run into each other on the day of. He was able to host the groomsmen and dads in there easily as well.
Would definitely recommend it!
Linden Row was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Planning a wedding during COVID wasn't exactly fun but Casey, their sales & events director, was so extremely helpful. She kept us up to date on any and all updates regarding guest counts, masks mandates, etc.
As a Richmond transplant, I wanted to find a venue that would give a good representation of the city to my traveling guest. The ability for my guest to book rooms and stay at the venue was so convenient and they all loved the charm. The courtyard venue was breath taking and exactly what we were looking for. The entire Linden Row team was so accommodating. We were extremely happy with their food vendor and the overall price tag for rental was fantastic by comparison.
Linden Row Inn is an AMAZING wedding venue! Everyone in our families said it was the most flawless, unique, and fun wedding they had been to, and that's in huge part due to the awesome tea at Linden Row Inn and their catering team at Groovin' Gourmet (Casey and Michelle in particular, respectively).
The people: Casey was wonderful in helping us navigate all of the changes in Virginia due to COVID so we could have a lovely intimate reception where people felt safe, but we still could have a ton of fun! She has a great eye for floorplans and is great at troubleshooting ay challenges that could come up. Plus she works really closely with the caterer - Groovin' Gourmet - and they are a dynamic due. The staff at the Inn are sweet and kind and great at troubleshooting whatever comes up. All of the staff have worked there for a long time, which speaks to the quality of the hotel. It felt like everyone was invested in making the day a great one - you'll feel the love here!
The space: The garden space + board room is a BEAUTIFUL space and is perfectly set up for a dance floor, buffet/dining room, cocktail hour, and reception space all in the same area (that way you don't have to book multiple spaces!). We had 56 guests and it was perfect, but we easily could have had more and it would not have felt too crowded. We had the tent because it was a little rainy and everyone raved about how perfect it was - clear top so you can still see the trees, little lights to brighten up the space. Plus, the hotel rooms themselves are lovely and comfortable (the beds are the best), and many of the garden rooms have been recently redone. The rooms feel both historical and comfortable - whether you stay in a garden room or splurge for a Parlour Suite.
I was a bride who liked being in the loop on all the details, and Casey and Michelle (with Groovin Gourmet) are real pros who were super patient with all my questions - I could tell they make anything happen, and make it beautiful and in budget. They truly rock. Have your wedding here, and do it brunch style (the cheesy potatoes will blow your mind).
Linden Row Inn was the perfect place to host our intimate pandemic wedding! Since it took place in January, we opted to bring the celebration indoors and we chose one of the gorgeous first floor suites for our ceremony with a phenomenal sit-down dinner following in their reception hall. Casey was incredible to work with throughout the entire process as rules and regulations changed during COVID lockdowns. She was creative, positive, and incredibly helpful! The entire staff at LR is exceptional and we couldn't have imagined a more gorgeous backdrop for our special day. Our photographer took us out front and around the courtyard and captured some incredible pictures with magnolias, brick, and the historic hotel as a gorgeous backdrop. Linden Row Inn partners with Groov'n Gourmets for catering and they provided a DELICIOUS steak and seafood dinner with scrumptious hors d'oeuvres and a full bar! They provided just as yummy a vegetarian options for one guest and were the nicest to encounter during the reception! I highly, highly recommend getting married at LR. Their courtyard will hold much more people but we are glad we chose the spectacular navy and gold gilded suite with original chandelier, black marble fireplace, and floor to ceiling gold mirrors. You just can't beat that classic, luxurious setting. We woke up the next morning feeling like royalty. We look forward to returning for future anniversaries to remember the happiest New Years ever!
Linden Row Inn's courtyard is so beautiful and elegant, we fell in love with it immediately even seeing it for the first time on a rainy day. It is lush and Edenic, peaceful while being right in the middle of the city. We used it only for our reception, and it worked well for having a cocktail hour space, a dance floor with our 3-piece jazz band, and then our dining space for a plated dinner. We only had 15 guests total, but it still felt cozy and intimate. Casey was AMAZING to work with, especially considering we planned our entire reception in less than 3 weeks due to a late decision to move to an outdoor venue because of the pandemic. 10/10 stars for Casey alone!!
The ONLY negative about working with Linden Row Inn is that they only let you work with one caterer, Groovin' Gourmet. The food itself and the day-of service were very good, but communication leading up to the day was a challenge and did cause us some unneeded anxiety. This is not Linden Row Inn's fault specifically, but it would be nice if they offered catering alternatives.
My fiance and I had a March 14th wedding, and we were in the very first wave of postponements due to the pandemic. The staff at Linden Row that helped us set up our room block were absolutely fantastic. They have been so responsive, understanding, and amenable as we explored next steps. We are so, so grateful to have a room block at Linden Row for our wedding! They have been willing to work with us throughout this very difficult process and we are so grateful for their flexibility and prompt communication!
My parents hosted an engagement party for my fiance and I just the other weekend at Linden Row Inn and it went better than I could have ever imagined! From Casey & Sarah helping assist us with table layout, linens, timeline, etc. to the awesome caterers it was an all over hit! My mom bragged about all the compliments she received from family and friends over the few days that followed the event saying how lovely the event was.
The venue itself is super cute and has a vintage type of charm to it. The banquet room is spacious but it also backs up to an adorable outdoor courtyard that we were lucky enough to have warm weather and make the event indoor/outdoor! If you're having an intimate wedding, reunion, or small party like we did I would definitely recommend this location!
Romantic, intimate setting for our wedding ceremony. Beautiful historic brick courtyard, shaded by trees, with a quaint trickling fountain.
Casey, the manager of the space was EXTREMELY easy to work with. She answered all my questions throughout the whole planning process within a couple hours! She made the whole process very stress-free.
Only $1000 to rent for the ceremony space. My only cons were that there were a lot of extra charges. You have to rent a DJ/or even speakers because the venue did not provide one. And as a rain plan, you typically have to pay around $500 non-refundable fee for a tent rental. There is also no place you can really get ready, so you'd probably have to buy a hotel room--unless you wanted to get ready off-site.
We recently had our wedding at Linden Row Inn and absolutely loved every minute of our weekend. The beautiful, historic Inn was an amazing setting for the romantic, intimate vibe we were going for. The Bridal Suite is HUGE and offers a gorgeous bay window with amazing lighting for pre-wedding photos. The staff were incredibly helpful, from the time we toured the venue, to planning to our stay, everything was top notch. If you're looking for a venue where you're guests can stay right onsite, this is the place for you. The location is ideal as after the wedding our guests were able to walk to a nearby bar for our after-party. Not to mention there's an adorable (and delicious) restaurant/bar that was such a great addition as we didn't have to go far for amazing breakfast and lunch. Big shoutout to Casey Watson in the Sales Department as she made the entire experience of planning our wedding an absolute breeze. If only we could have a wedding every weekend, we'd have it here for sure. Highly recommend!!
We had the absolute best experience working with Casey who helped us book our wedding reception at Linden Row Inn this past spring. She was responsive and had great recommendations on layout designs or any other questions we had. The courtyard looked gorgeous the night of our wedding with lots of ferns (our favorite) and beautifully landscaped plants. We reserved a block of rooms with the inn for our guests so they didn’t have to worry about driving anywhere when the reception was over. My husband and I decided to book one of the parlour suites to stay in the night of our wedding and would highly recommend for future brides and grooms. We booked it for the night before as well so that my bridesmaids and I could get ready before the wedding. The parlour suite was very spacious with lots of rooms for the six of us. Unfortunately Urban Farmhouse had closed right before our wedding took place which would have been convenient for our guests to have breakfast or quick meals, but it really wasn’t a problem at all. There were plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. Linden Row has preferred vendors for their catering so we ended up using A Sharper Palate which did a phenomenal job. Since the weather was looking a questionable the night of our wedding, we went ahead and reserved a tent and lighting through Rent-E-Quip. We really wanted an outdoor wedding so we were a bit bummed to have to put up a tent. However, we were surprised by how beautiful the whole setting looked in the courtyard with the tent. The tents were so tall that you could still see plenty of greenery, minus the tree foliage over top, and we didn’t feel boxed in at all. Fortunately it didn’t rain until right at 10 pm when our band wrapped up. Linden Row Inn was the perfect setting for our reception - would highly recommend! We can’t thank Casey and her team enough for the amazing work.
Linden Row was the best choice I could have made for our September wedding! The venue was gorgeous and the staff was beyond accommodating. From start to finish, the day went off without a hitch. Casey let us know what exactly to expect and was super responsive to any questions I had.
The great thing about the location is that you can have your out of town guests stay right there, so they don't need to worry about driving to another spot after the event.
The only thing I wish was different was the option to bring in our own catering.
My fiance and I fell in love with Linden Row right from the start. The staff was great and Casey is amazing. She was so helpful and accommodating even put welcome bags that I dropped off into the guests room. It is great if you are having a wedding with out of town guests... everyone can stay there and the rooms are neat, clean and affordable. Our families loved the place and enjoyed the history. It did rain briefly on our wedding day after the ceremony during the cocktail hour and Mosaic our caters, along with Casey and our wedding planner moved everything inside.... rain stopped in 20 min and we were back outside. Tenting is expensive and a hard call to make because the space looks so amazing without it... we took a gamble and won. The only con was the in house caterer which thankfully you no longer have to use, they were horrible and we had them replaced after they no showed to a scheduled tasting so our planner secured Mosaic instead. Now that they are gone and you have other choices to pick from its a great spot. Clean, beautiful and Casey is great. I would give them 4.5 stars for sure. Our wedding was 80 people, food stations.... wedding 1st, cocktail hour and then reception all done there, 5 to 10pm.
Pros- This venue is simply alluring. It has such a romantic appeal. It’s in a great location. The scenery is beautiful. You can save money on flowers and decorations because the setting is so wonderful with minimum additions. You can spend more time with your family/friends when they are staying close by with a block of rooms. The staff is friendly and they will walk you through each step.
Cons- It was much more expensive than I budgeted for which got out of hand quickly. A tent is a necessary rental in case of rain, this cost more than the venue itself (about 2k). You can hope it won’t rain and you will only loose a tent deposit ($600), but you can not have the wedding in the rain without a tent- per catering contract. The catering was decent, but you are required to use the in house caterer. Due to staffing changes within the caterer, I fell in love with the venue and booked it before seeing catering prices (about $30 per person for the cheapest options I could find). Catering was roughly 5k for 60 guest after adding tax, required service fees, linen rental, drinks (non alcoholic) and a champagne toast. My guest all reported their food was cold but tasted decent. Someone within the catering outfit was insistent that we could not spend 5 extra minutes finishing up a crucial piece of our send off. Our exit time was 8:00 on the dot and they were not at all flexible to allow us to fix the problem that came up with the send off. Apparently your end time is when everyone must be off the premises not when the wedding is over, we were told. Which is unfortunate since almost all my guest were also hotel guest.
If I could plan my entire wedding again, I would not use this venue. Simply too expensive and I went way over budget.
What a joy it was to work with the amazing, talented staff at Linden Row Inn! Casey Watson, the sales manager, and Jeremy Weaver, the catering and events manager, are on top of their game. From start to finish, they were responsive, helpful, courteous, top-notch professionals. If you have a grand vision and need help executing it; they got it. If you have no idea what you're doing and need a lot of guidance; they got you.
Everything was so well-executed, and everyone knew exactly what to do and when. At no point did I feel stressed about the event, and at no point did I question if something was going to be forgotten or left undone.
Because the venue has an exclusive, in-house caterer and a list of recommended and approved vendors for music, tenting, and flowers, a lot of the research and guess work is already done. They say you get what you pay for, but at Linden Row Inn, you get so much more. I couldn't recommend the venue more highly.
Cherry on top: several of our guests said that ours was one of, if not the best weddings they had ever attended.
My husband and I recently had our wedding here and everything went so smoothly--the staff was an amazing help and the food was perfect.
My family felt so at home and taken care of during the whole wedding - it's such an amazing and cozy atmosphere. We were blown away by the wedding staff (Mat and Casey), they are so detail oriented and thoughtful. We can't thank them enough and would highly recommend this venue to all Virginia brides!
My wedding at Linden Row Inn couldn't have been better! Not only was the location exactly what we wanted, but it perfectly accommodated our guests. And the staff were so wonderful to work with. From the first email until the end of our reception, they were on-point, hard working and dedicated to making our wedding vision a reality. I would enthusiastically recommend the Linden Row Inn to anyone wanting to get married in a gorgeous urban setting with a vintage feel and a fantastic staff!
Oh my! The Linden Row Inn helped to create the dream wedding for my daughter! It was such a beautiful and romantic setting. The accommodations were excellent and the Urban Farmhouse Catering department did an outstanding job. This hotel exceeded our expectations.
We had THE BEST wedding day at Linden Row Inn. If you are looking for a charming, intimate and historic atmosphere this is the place for you. Our wedding day was without tenting, thank goodness because the large tree in the courtyard, brick surrounds and festoon lights created a sparkling ceiling in the open air. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the bridal suite for getting ready in the morning. It has all the charm.
We had our ceremony and reception in the courtyard at Linden Row Inn. We had about 65 guests, and it was the perfect size. Casey Watson was absolutely wonderful to work with through the entire planning process, and was very prompt in responding to all of my questions and comments. One thing to note with this venue is you have to use Urban Farmhouse as your caterer. They are a bit pricey, but they were willing to work with us to get the cost down a bit. And on the day of, they took care of everything, and the food was wonderful! I can't gush enough about what a beautiful place the courtyard is. It was the perfect place for our wedding!
so cool
The BEST hotel block in Richmond. Period.
A gorgeous historic hotel with an incredible hot breakfast included with room cost.
If your block books enough rooms, you earn two free nights in a parlor suite. Their parlor suites are classically beautiful.. I wish I had done bridal portraits in one of the rooms. Couldn't have asked for a better spot to chill with our wedding party or crash after the reception.
For a memorable, super affordable experience with excellent customer service... make a room block at Linden Row!!!
The courtyard of Linden Row Inn is a beautiful outdoor and affordable location in Richmond. The staff of the hotel is really helpful with all wedding preparations. The cost to rent the space includes tables, chairs, linens and all dining ware.
perfect for family gathering!
