Vanessa and her team at LBB were exceptional and helped us bring our dream wedding to life flawlessly, with minimal stress and lots of joy. We hired Vanessa for full planning services and she was helpful in every part of the planning process, from providing options and input for every wedding vendor at the start of the process, to guiding us on what needed to be done when, to handling tasks like printing and purchasing wedding favors, to making our wedding day run smoothly. She was honest about timeline and budget questions we had while also providing options that aligned with our priorities for the day and kept us on track. Her value was immeasurable in the week of our wedding and the wedding day itself — Vanessa volunteered to handle anything that needed to be done as we were finalizing details and dealing with family, which was big in keeping our stress down. (That included things like getting my wedding dress steamed at a tailor last minute, printing and bringing all our printed materials like programs and menus, and taking all our things back from our wedding venue to our hotel after our wedding so we could go directly to our after party.) She was always flexible and made us feel reassured that everything was handled and running smoothly, because it was. We had a big wedding (250 people) and our guests, especially our families and wedding party, raved about how great and available she and her team were and how smoothly things ran. (Special shoutout to when we had a wedding crasher that my mom was worried about, Vanessa handled it with venue security calmly and confidently.) Vanessa is attentive, thoughtful, nice, and fun to work with, and all the vendors she recommended to us were equally high-quality and great to work with. Her wedding planning services were worth every cent and more. We recommend her without hesitation for any wedding or event.

Working with Jacqueline was the easiest part of our wedding planning, and was absolutely the best decision we made. If you are considering working with LBBB and on the fence regarding if you should use this service when all of wedding planning is so expensive, let me help you: this service is worth so much more to me for piece of mind and for catching issues early than the dollar amount you will spend for it. We met with Jacqueline several times in the early phases of planning, and more frequently as we approached the day of the event. Not only was she organized and helpful with reviewing our contracts and communication over email (she caught several potentially devastating schedule mistakes we had made and helped us fix them), but she was just so incredibly warm and supportive. As we got closer to our date, she handled much of our communication and checked in regularly by text or phone call. She is patient, she asked the right questions, she handled every detail on our big day and even advocated for us with vendors who did not deliver on their promises to smooth out details, and I did not even know it was occurring. Working with her is the best decision you can make!

Vanessa is the best in the business. We had a nontraditional event – we're gay, we had already eloped and we just wanted to have an intimate, meaningful party with friends and family. Vanessa took that scope and ran with it, making the run up to the event a breeze for us. She recommended vendors and made the venue look spectacular, never once pushing us into something that wasn't the right fit for us. You can't do better if you're looking for wedding help.
The only regret of my wedding is only using Vanessa as a day of coordinator! I wish I had hired her to plan everything from start to finish. She helped keep us organized, set the venue up beautifully, and calmly handled any issues that occurred. She also went above and beyond! When our pizza order for the after party got messed up, she ran out to get pizza so our guests had a snack after a night of dancing! If you are looking for a wedding coordinator Vanessa is your girl.

I booked LBB for their Day of Coordination Services and I was assigned Jacqueline to be my coordinator. Jacqueline was amazing and handled everything on my special day. She was instrumental in making sure everything was flawless. She understood my vision and things I wanted for the day and made sure it was executed. When needed, she was able to make snap decisions and pivot to continue to make sure the day went well. I really could not have been as relaxed as I was on the day without her and appreciate everything she did!

Hiring LBB for month-of coordination was easily one of the very best decisions we made! Jaqueline was our coordinator, and she reached out early to get all the details and vendor contracts to help ensure we didn’t miss any details — well before the month-of service start. Then month-of, she made sure to track all the final details, reminded me of things I’d said I wanted, and was there for all the final prep in the days prior. We were thrown quite a wrench in our best laid plans with a hurricane making an appearance day-of, and Jaqueline made sure I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She helped advise on decision making and made adjustments to plans as things evolved so I didn’t have to remove myself from enjoying our day.
We used Vanessa's month of coordination service and couldn't be happier with the way things turned out. She was kind enough to have a couple of short consultations with us even before the one-month period began, and was very flexible in the times she was able to meet virtually.
She took care of a lot of the nitty-gritty details like making sure vendors were aware of venue rules, and going through contracts. Naturally, she thinks of all the things you don't think of and everything was absolutely seamless on our wedding day.

After our first meeting, she gave me an excellent, personalized set of recommendations for vendors (all of whom were fabulous). We hired Vanessa for her "month of" services, and it was genuinely the best choice we made in the entire planning process. She is ridiculously smart, capable, flexible, endlessly creative, and indefatigable. She seamlessly took over coordination with vendors and handled messes major and minor in the lead up to the event. On the day of the wedding, we genuinely didn't have to think about a thing other than enjoying the day—something made far easier because Vanessa kept us fed, watered, and happy. You will not regret working with her for a second.
I loved having my wedding planner during my wedding. I got married in the middle of covid. Vanessa walked me through every step of planning the wedding. Please consider this company! if you don't think you need a planner, you do. Book them for your wedding.
My husband and I planned our entire wedding. We decided to get a day of coordinator to handle things on the actual wedding day. Four weeks before the wedding, we reached out to a couple of planners. After talking to Jacqueline we felt she was a perfect match. We are so happy we went with her. She is so patient, professional and very knowledgeable. We had an issue with the florist last minute changing the delivery times to an earlier time. Jacqueline knew exactly how to handle it. She really made it possible for us to enjoy our special day. Guests even complimented on how well she handled everything. Go with Little Black Book Events. You will not be disappointed.
I don't even know where to start with this review - we hired Vanessa for her full planning services, and she was just a dream to work with. My husband and I got engaged in 2019 and planned to have our wedding in summer 2020, but COVID had other plans. Vanessa helped us navigate two years of uncertainty from our engagement to our wedding in July 2021. She saw us through multiple reschedules and almost-reschedules and barely broke a sweat. The stress of having to manage rescheduling and that many vendors alone would have brought me to tears, but Vanessa had it handled! There was a lot of stress and uncertainty that came with the pandemic but I can honestly say that my wedding wasn't one of them - she was so communicative and flexible that we always felt like she had things under control.
A few highlights from working with her:
1. She helped us pick all of our vendors, from cake, to DJ, photographer, and all of her recs were spot on. If we didn't like a set of options she provided, she was always willing to come back with more until we found something we were happy with.
2. She went above and beyond consistently. I forgot my afterparty shoes in my hotel room and she even went to pick them up for me and brought them to the party! She was also like the Mary Poppins of weddings the day of - I managed to forget my steamer at the hotel for my dress change and was panicking in the bridal suite, and she just made an extra steamer appear out of nowhere. I don't know how she does it!
3. She was a master communicator, juggling details and all the moving pieces between my husband and I, our venue, vendors, and even family members. The sheer number of emails with important but tiny details she managed that I would have dropped the ball on...very impressive.
4. She was also great at helping us realize our vision of what we wanted. We needed to find a way to blend a religious Jewish ceremony that also incorporated aspects of west African culture, so it wasn't the most straightforward wedding, but Vanessa was more than up to the challenge.
I can't recommend her enough, our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Vanessa to make it happen!
We hired Little Black Book for “day-of coordination”, and Vanessa supported us immensely both on the day of our wedding and in the weeks leading up to it. We are very glad we hired LBB, and we strongly recommend Vanessa and LBB!
We planned a 30-person wedding, which turned out to be almost as much work as planning a larger wedding. Having Vanessa by our side made the process much smoother and less stressful. Vanessa helped us tremendously with vendor communication, working through decisions we were having trouble with, and countless small things that we would have just missed without her. On the day of our wedding, Vanessa was an effective manager and a comforting presence -- she juggled egos and unexpected hiccups, from vendor arrival through party clean-up. A bunch of last-minute issues came up with both of us (bride and groom), and we just told Vanessa what was happening and she took care of them with a confident smile.
One thing that deserves special mention is that one of the pieces Vanessa took on was laying out our reception flowers and candles. Vanessa supported us in our decision to go with a not-full-service florist while allowing us and our guests to stay out of table set-up duty. Vanessa knocked it out of the park -- the tablescape was ridiculously picturesque and wound up being maybe the closest element of our wedding to our pinterest-instagram visioning.
We feel confident Vanessa would be great for any wedding, but we have a special note to our Jewish sisters and brothers: Vanessa was on point for all the Jewish rituals. From tisch to ketubah to yichud, Vanessa knows what’s up.

I hired Vanessa to manage the day of the wedding and coordinate vendors leading up to the day. Bad weather on the day of the wedding moved it from an outdoor ceremony to indoors. Although it wasn't what we had planned for my son and his bride, the ceremony in front of the fireplace was perfect indoors. Vanessa coordinated all of the changes smoothly while we enjoyed the day celebrating with family and friends. I highly recommend Vanessa as your wedding planner. If you want to have a carefree beautiful day, hire Vanessa.
Vanessa was absolutely amazing!! I was looking for a wedding planner that was local to where we were getting married (DC area) since we lived in PA. I interviewed a few planners and Vanessa seemed professional, knowledgeable, organized and very calm. From the beginning she was very reachable, timely in responding to me, extremely organized and on top of all the details. She let me handle the details I wanted to and took care of all the things I didn't want to deal with myself. A little over a month before the wedding my reception venue canceled due to COVID and Vanessa was calm, reassuring and confident in the hours following assuring me we would find a solution and then she set out helping me find a new venue - a venue that turned out to be even better than what we originally had planned. The weeks leading up to the wedding she made sure we had every detail covered and having her made it so that the days leading up to the wedding I could relax and simply enjoy my time with friends and family. The day of while waiting to get ready I had several guests tell me I was the calmest bride they ever seen and that in large part was because I had Vanessa and I knew she had everything in order. During the wedding and reception she was attentive but gave me space to simply enjoy the day. She was always professional, always calm, always understanding and I highly highly recommend her - you and your wedding day will be thankful that you hired her!
From start to finish LBB was PERFECT! We had heard of their services and I called her the day after we got engaged. She met with me on a Sunday night and immediately helped me plan next steps and make a play-by-play agenda for planning, which was important to me as a bride. Every step of the way Vanessa was there to not only remind me of pending deadlines, but to stay on track with my budget and also to keep me sane. On the day of she kept me calm and on schedule and if I ever get married again (lets hope not!) I would definitely use her again!
In terms of our wedding, Vanessa at Little Black Book was the best decision that my husband and I made (second only to marrying each other!). We were supposed to get married in May of 2020 and wound up married in August of 2020, and I never felt the need to panic because I knew Vanessa had it all under control. In countless instances, Vanessa used her incredibly calming, rational presence to help us work through the difficult challenges of getting married during a pandemic. She is fabulous with logistics, brilliant at thinking of things to make the event that much better (drink covers when you're getting married in a pandemic, a reusable straw the morning of the wedding so your lipstick doesn't get everywhere!), and a real joy to work with. Hire her. It will be your best wedding planning decision--and the rest, she'll handle.
We were about halfway through planning our wedding when we reached out to Vanessa, and all we can say is that we wish we had contacted her sooner! Her professionalism, efficiency and knowledge made bringing our wedding together so much easier than it could have been. Vanessa was fantastic to work with! We hired her for day of wedding services and she made our day stress free. Our son was married this past weekend. Can't say enough good things about working with Vanessa. There are so many details in planning for a wedding and a good amount of stress. We met with Vanessa a couple of times before the wedding but primarily used her services the day of the wedding. She helped manage all of the details, coordinated with the vendors before and during the wedding day and made sure that everything was where it needed to be. She was calm, professional and very supportive and friendly during the entire process. Honestly, I don't see how we could have managed without her support. We highly recommend her services.

Vanessa was a really excellent day of coordinator for our early May wedding! As a bride to be I was a little nervous with the few weeks leading up to the wedding and Vanessa was so accommodating and patient with me. She answered my emails/texts promptly and was always very pleasant to work with. On the day of the wedding, everything went very smoothly all thanks to Vanessa in the background making it all come together! We had an amazing, unforgettable wedding and it was all due to Vanessa's help.

Wow, where can I even begin? Vanessa was the best money we have ever spent. Backstory- we’re both physicians who got engaged 4.5 years before our wedding and waited 3 years to start planning because we are busy, lazy, and had only very vague visions when it came to planning. Vanessa came along and not only did she make our dreams come true, she turned them from very blurry, nonspecific dreams into clear, perfect reality.
She is extremely organized: we told her at the beginning that we wouldn’t be good at keeping on task, what with our busy schedules. She kept us on task and everything was always done on time, in spite of us often dragging our feet or having limited availability. This was often because:
She goes above and beyond. She would run to the marriage license bureau for us, pick up all the alcohol for us, return the leftovers, and a bunch of other things that I can’t remember because Vanessa just took care of it. She clearly worked nights and weekends for us, which as doctors, we can appreciate.
She was super flexible: she met us wherever, whenever. She was ok with Venmo for lots of things which made things super easy. When we would decline the first set of options (venue, photo/video, flowers), she would look for more and not make us feel bad/guilty about it.
She is a great person: Vanessa really became our friend in this process. When other people stressed us out about not knowing our colors yet, etc, she reassured us. On the day of the wedding, she ran a smooth, but tight ship. Our photographer and videographer said she was the best wedding planner THEY’D ever worked with- she kept them updated as to the schedule because she knew photos and video were important to us, which our photo/video people said not all wedding planners do. All of our families loved her.
We really gave Vanessa very little in the way of direction or help, and she still gave us our dream wedding. At the end of the night, I (half) jokingly thanked her for letting us attend her wedding. In short, I could not recommend a better wedding planner in this life or the next. I’m almost regretting writing this review since we are actively handing out Vanessa’s info to everyone we know getting married and I want her to be available on their dates. She really is the best.
I reached out to Little Black Book Events to book my small wedding. To add to the task, we were looking to have our wedding in two weeks from our initial conversation. Vanessa was more than up for the challenge. She got to work with finding a venue and vendors to make our day special. She kept me in the loop throughout the entire process and thought of things that we had missed. She also emailed a schedule of how the night would go to and it was very helpful for our photographer. Our wedding guests were so surprised to learn we planned the wedding with such short notice and so organized. The florist she suggested exceeded our expectations with my bouquet, and officiant was personable and very realistic for marriage values.
We will definitely call on Vanessa and LBB Events when planning future events.
Vanessa is an incredibly organized and professional coordinator, and working with her was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. She can handle any curve ball thrown at you before or during your big day, and she will handle those situations with tact and grace. She allowed my wife and I to have a truly unforgettable experience on our wedding day, free from the stress of worrying about vendors, decorations, gifts and keeping to our timeline. Most importantly, she will work with you months in advance to nail down all the details of your wedding day and ensure that nothing is overlooked. Working with Vanessa at Little Black Book Events was the best decision we made during the entire wedding process. Vanessa was our day of coordinator, and I have said time and time again that hiring her was the best money we spent on the wedding. Initially, we weren’t going to hire a day of coordinator, but after hearing many times how much easier it made the day, we looked into it.
We found Vanessa through a recommendation from our wedding venue. After meeting her for coffee, we knew she was a great fit. Vanessa is so easy to work with. She is professional, easy going, but gets so much. I found her particularly helpful because I was the first of my friends to get married, and was completely uneducated about the smaller details of a wedding. Vanessa was able to answer all of our questions about the process, gave us creative ideas to personalize the day, and served as a wealth of knowledge.
Closer to the day, Vanessa gathered all of our vendor contracts and reached out about arrival times and other organizational details. She served as the point of contact for all of these people which was unbelievably helpful. On the day, Vanessa did all the behind the scenes work to make sure the day went off without a hitch. If we had any kind of issue, we were able to tell Vanessa about it and it was taken care of. Having Vanessa there lowered the stress level, and allowed everyone to concentrate on enjoying themselves. If she hadn’t been there we would have been consumed by all the small things that no one ever tells you about. From making sure the DJ is set up in the correct place, to setting up the welcome table, Vanessa saved us time and memories. If we didn’t have Vanessa, those smaller details would have rested with me or my mother. Instead, we were able to enjoy the day as a celebration, not a checklist of tasks to get done. My mom still comments that she wishes she could have a Vanessa in everyday life. Hiring Vanessa was by far the best investment we made on the wedding, and I could not recommend her enough.
Vanessa did a fantastic job as our day-of coordinator for our wedding and her price was so reasonable compared to some of the other coordinators we had contacted for quotes! She was incredibly responsive during the planning stages when we had small questions, and always had great suggestions and was so helpful in finalizing all the details for the celebration. During the wedding she was great and handled everything without a hitch, so I didn’t have to worry about anything! There were so many moving parts and things to coordinate, and she handled it all flawlessly without hesitation. We hired LBB for "day-of" wedding planning services, and it was one of the best wedding-related decisions that we made. Vanessa (the owner) and her assistant were an integral part of our wedding day. I am an extremely organized person, and didn’t know if I needed "day-of" planning help. Thankfully, my parents encouraged me to look into it, and I ended up choosing LBB because of Vanessa's great attitude and her reasonable prices. In the end, she did everything possible to make our wedding day seamless and enjoyable, and I can’t thank her enough.
We started working with Vanessa a month before the wedding, and she asked all the right questions to make sure that every detail was in place (including providing several small things we hadn't thought of like a card box and cake cutter). On the day of the wedding, Vanessa and her assistant really went above-and-beyond to make sure everything came together seamlessly. For example, they made multiple trips to the florist to ensure our flowers were as fresh as possible. They set up the venue exactly as I requested. Throughout the reception, they were there for anything we needed, including getting us our favorite appetizers, helping with schedule changes, and even getting the temperature turned down when we all got too hot from dancing. At the end of the reception, my husband and I were able to go to the afterparty, while Vanessa stayed behind to cleanup everything up. She even brought our wedding decorations and catering leftovers back to our apartment that night!
It was great to be able to rely on Vanessa, and know that all of my plans would be executed to perfection even if I wasn’t there to do it myself. I spent so long planning the wedding, and if it weren’t for Vanessa, I think I would have spent the entire day worried about logistics. Your wedding day will be more hectic than you expect, so do yourself a favor and get someone to help. Again, I can’t thank Vanessa enough for her help and I highly recommend her.
Vanessa was recommended to us by our venue and hiring her as our wedding coordinate was definitely one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process! Vanessa helped keep us on track but also reminded us that we were doing great with planning and kept our nerves calm during the weeks leading up to our wedding. She was always easy to get a hold of and the night before the wedding was quick to respond to our texts about last minute things. She kept everything running smoothly on the day of--everything that we had discussed she took care of and made it so that my husband and I didn't have to even think about a number of things. Though we hired her as a day of coordinator, she met with us 8 weeks prior to the wedding to discuss our timeline and was responsive to all our emails in the weeks leading up to the heading to help finalize our timeline and get additional vendors booked.
Working with LBB and Vanessa was truly one of our best decisions. I am so pleased with her level of service, responsiveness, and flexibility. We booked her for "day-of" services, which actually began weeks before our event with in person meetings, phone calls, texts, and emails along the way. She also attended our final walk through with the venue and our rehearsal to see exactly what we envisioned, and she executed our plan perfectly - even with some iffy weather in the forecast!! Vanessa was GREAT and I truly recommend her to any bride!!
There is no way I could have pulled of IN FOUR MONTHS a two-day, multicultural, out of state, wedding without Vanessa! She was organized, kept everything on schedule so there were no hiccups, was able to refer vendors, and was super responsive! Bringing Vanessa on-board was one of the best decisions I made about the wedding.
