Cat Alexander brings to Pheasant her deep appreciation for design, hospitality, and extraordinary food. After moving to New York City to attend NYU, her path through film and television ultimately led her to her true calling in design and hospitality, where she discovered the art of crafting unforgettable moments through food and storytelling. Chef Vincent Fraissange brings a rich heritage of French cuisine, having spent summers with his grandparents in Sancerre and along the Mediterranean coast. His culinary journey began at nineteen as an apprentice at Vancouver's celebrated Le Crocodile, where he refined his craft in the city's most distinguished kitchens. In 2009, their paths crossed on a business trip, leading to the eventual creation of Pheasant. Today, this woman-owned, chef-driven catering and events company marries Cat's eye for beautiful, thoughtful experiences with Vincent's masterful seasonal cuisine. Their approach creates celebrations that feel both elegant and effortlessly intimate, rooted in locally sourced ingredients and their shared vision of bringing people together around a beautifully set table.

Pheasant was the most pleasant experience we could have had with a wedding caterer. They were very thoughtful in helping us put together the menu. We had MANY different dietary restrictions to accommodate our guests (gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, etc). Not only was the food great, but their staff did a wonderful job setting up under less-than-ideal circumstances and made everything look fantastic. The charcuterie spread was especially stunning. The food was delicious, and we had only tried it for the first time at the wedding. Everyone raved. The five stars doesn't do their service or food justice. I would ABSOLUTELY hire them again if I ever had another large celebration.

From the very beginning, when we did our first tasting, the quality and presentation of Pheasant's food stood out. Throughout the planning process, the Pheasant team went above and beyond—not only delivering incredible food, but proactively addressing any concerns and offering thoughtful solutions along the way. On our wedding day, they truly shined. The service, attention to detail, and flawless execution were all top-notch, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about how delicious everything was. We had a great experience with Pheasant. They welcomed our feedback and we were very happy with all the food. The taste, quality, and presentation were everything we had hoped for. Pheasant was fantastic start to finish. From a magical, delicious private tasting at their Greenpoint space to the warm, thoughtful attention to detail day of, we’d do it all over again with Krista and the whole Pheasant team. Krista made sure we got everything precisely as we wanted, from customizing the canapés to napkin folds. The Pheasant team at the wedding was such a delightful bonus - all of them were so warm, on point, and genuinely having a good time. And the food - woah. All of the guests commented on how it was the best wedding food they’d ever had, and we agree! Somehow salmon was cooked to tender perfection for 110 people, the focaccia was amazingly fluffy and warm, and avid carnivores asked for extra of the vegetarian pave because it was so good. Our favorites though were the canapés - creative and totally unique, they were a perfect way to set the tone of the whole wedding. We’d go with Pheasant again in a heartbeat.

After falling in love with Pheasant when it was a restaurant in their neighborhood in Brooklyn, my daughter and her fiance were thrilled to discover that they could have the Pheasant team cater their wedding in Williamsburg. They were able to choose some of their favorite dishes from the restaurant menu, along with a fabulous array of passed hors d'oeuvres and themed tables, from mini reuben sandwiches and lobster rolls to local oysters and spicy tuna, and addictive dessert bites (like strawberry rhubarb and salted caramel mini-pies, and melt-in-your-mouth chocolate-ganache-filled cakelettes). Cat and Krista and the team at Pheasant were a dream to work with, so genuinely excited for our couple and full of ideas and encouragement. Many guests commented to me not only on the delicious food, but also on the gorgeous tablescapes and the incredible skill and professionalism of the serving team at the venue, who navigated expertly along tight rows of tables delivering different courses and individualized plated meals throughout the night. We were beyond delighted with our experience working with Pheasant, and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

The Pheasant team did the most beautiful job for our wedding. We had a small, intimate wedding on a farm and they had to innovate many times over (build a kitchen! Climb stairs in the dark! etc.)! They did so with grace and gusto and made our day absolutely perfect. The food was insanely delicious and service impeccable, warm, chic, and totally unfussy :)
Hire them immediately, you’ll be so glad you did.

Stop searching, book Pheasant now! We have gotten non-stop compliments on the food at our wedding; and it's not just that every item is next level delicious, everything also looks so beautiful it doesn't seem real.
The entire team at Pheasant is superb to work with. They made several custom dishes for us including a special fish entree as a nod to my Chinese heritage, adjusting dishes to be season appropriate, and a special canape and starter because my partner and I had a whim. Lola patiently responded to an absolutely ridiculous amount of questions, including filling out a 23 row table of dietary restrictions for every item.
The expertise of the entire Pheasant team is clear. They knew what to avoid (for example, certain fish or frying styles because of the smell) and exactly how the schedule should be set for everything to run smoothly. I think there was exactly one suggestion of Cat's I didn't take and, of course, she was right in the end.
If you're working with a raw event space, Cat's background in design is especially useful. Pheasant took care of every rental need and set up the space flawlessly, down to crisp corners on every table cloth. The pheasant team are exceptional at what they do and exceptional people. The team at Pheasant are kindred spirits; they are detailed, prompt, organized, responsible, and kind. Additionally, their food is delicious, their service team is warm and exceptionally well-trained and they were an absolute delight to work with from beginning to end. The Pheasant team was lovely to work with and all of our food and drinks were truly fantastic! So many of our guests gushed about the beautiful charcuterie board we had for our cocktail hour and about the delicious and memorable dinner. We did a family style dinner and everyone had more than enough to eat - we really didn't want anyone to leave hungry! Our cocktails and wines were all amazing and very special - many people asked us for the exact wines so they could get them on their own! We had a lovely tasting a few weeks ahead of time so the menu would reflect what was seasonable at the time, which was important to us. And it's really nice for us to be able to go back to the restaurant to celebrate with just ourselves and with friends.
They were very accommodating with my gluten allergy and we were able to have options for vegetarians and vegans. Can't recommend highly enough!

We are SO happy that we worked with Pheasant for our wedding catering. The food was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented, our guests were talking about how good the food was for weeks after the event! Lola, Cat and the whole team were so much fun to work with, and truly put on a seamless, stress free and wonderful evening for us. Little Pheasant was recommended to me...and from the first call...to the meetings and menu tasting everything was top notch!!! A year later people are still talking about the delicious food and the level of service . If I was doing it again nothing would change!!!
