We were lucky enough to work with Andrea as our partial planner for our wedding, and bringing her on was one of the best decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process. From the initial call, Andrea put all my wedding worries at ease, and I knew I could trust her to help our day run flawlessly. Andrea absolutely delivered and went above and beyond. Andrea was so helpful throughout the planning process, keeping my husband and I organized and on track through providing us dates and timelines for key milestones leading up to the wedding. There were things I did not even think of (such as securing time for my husband and I to have our own apps and drinks in a private room before cocktail hour) and Andrea was always 3 steps ahead. I don’t even know how we would have operated the day without her, but I could not be more grateful for the care and attention her team provided to me and my husband to ensure the day ran smoothly. Would highly recommend- Extremely satisfied with Wedding Planning support. Reached out to LK based on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. We worked with Carolyn for the Partial Planning package and looking back would not have wanted to or been able to do it without her help. Carolyn was proactive along the way and helped get us organized early on, and picked up all of the many details and coordination needs as we neared the big day. On the day of, her team was seamless with making sure everything went perfectly. There were so many things we thought we would have a handle on, that we could not have without the help of Carolyn and her team. If anything went wrong, we weren't aware of it.
Carolyn. She is the person you want. Carolyn was our "month of" coordinator and she was fantastic. We got to a point where we would send stuff her way to deal with, and she did, well. She was super prompt with responding to an questions or concerns. She followed through with EVERYTHING she said she would. Day of, she, and her assistants were on it. The timing flowed perfectly and she kept everyone on task. I can't speak highly enough of her! The day of our wedding she literally told me not to worry about anything as she would tell me where to go and what I needed. She was fabulous!
I cannot say enough about Lauren the owner of LK Events and her team. My daughter’s wedding was September 8. My daughter and her fiancé are living out of the country and I do not know how we would have managed without Lauren’s dedication to keeping us on tract with contracts and help with finding the best vendors.
Her kindness and efficiency made a complicated weekend with people coming in from out of the country so easy as she took care of every detail. We think the world of her and my daughter had the most spectacular wedding!!
Using LK Events (Allison Young in particular) was easily the best decision I made for the entire wedding!!! From day 1, Allison went above and beyond to ensure that my wedding day was everything I imagined and completely stress-free. The recommendations she made for vendors were perfectly tailored to my taste and budget – seriously, I loved them all. We were planning from out of town, and didn’t have to worry about a thing - she ensured that everything was organized and on schedule from start to finish. Allison was incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of the planning process and was more than willing to respond to my *countless* e-mails asking about minor details she had already taken care of. She was great about giving suggestions, but not pushing me in any particular direction. She was always available to quell my anxiety or give advice. I think one of the worst parts about the wedding being over is that I don’t get to talk to her regularly!! LK Events is seriously the only way to go for a wedding. They outdo themselves to make sure your day is perfect, and will not disappoint!
Allison and LK Events were awesome for our daughter's wedding! She was the calm force that connected all the dots that made the planning process fun and worry free. I cannot thank Allison and the LK Events team enough for making our wedding truly perfect. Every step of the way, Allison was there to answer questions, provide recommendations and keep us on track. Even when I was feeling stress from the wedding, work or life in general, Allison's positivity and geniality made every moment of planning enjoyable. LK Events is truly the best in the business. I worked with Allison and she was truly the best thing that ever happened to us. Without Allison and the team my wedding would not have been as amazing as it truly was! Allison was so organized, helpful and thought of every little thing that I would have totally forgotten. She also really helped me with delegating tasks and managing the vendor relationships. She set up all of my meetings to make sure everything was on track to run smoothly. She also sent us a very detailed agenda the day of so we knew exactly what to expect. When our venue had a change in Sales Managers she was on it to reassure us that everything was going to be perfect (and it was). She has great relationships with everyone in the business and she'll give you her honest opinion of who she thinks you should use. She was so prompt with answering questions and we asked her advice, she always had amazing ideas. I can't say enough kind things.
Nicole Zenner with LK Events was recommended to us by Allison Krcatovich, the Catering Manager at The Langham. As soon as we met with her we knew we would enjoy working with her and felt we were in good hands. We were not disappointed!!! Both my new bride and myself own our own businesses and split our time between Chicago and Atlanta. So we needed someone with strong organizational skills as well as someone that can execute. Nicole is all of that and more. Her responsiveness, demeanor, attention to detail, and desire to make a great experience for us was perfect. She was genuinely invested in us and expressed itself in everything she did for us - that was remarkable.
All the vendors she suggested for us were fantastic - we could not have begun to deal with trying to pick out photographers, florists, wedding cake designer, stationary, etc. She also helped so much with all the other myriad of decisions we had to deal with. So thankful for that!!

We had so much fun working with Nicole of LK Events on our wedding for the last year and a half. We decided to hire a full wedding planner due to our busy schedules and the fact that we didn’t know the Chicago wedding market and wanted someone to help us find great vendors within our budget. Nicole did just that. Every single vendor she suggested was AMAZING and all within our budget; there is no way we would have found them all ourselves. It was also evident what a great relationship Nicole had with them and how much they enjoyed working with her too, which made the experience that much more positive. Nicole was always willing to work around our schedules and meet us at our house, which helped us immensely. She was extremely responsive and was great about keeping us updated on our budget all of the time. I also loved how she was genuinely invested in us and our wedding vision and made so many great suggestions for us along the way (she made up the perfect hashtag, came up with a really cute way to display our place cards, helped us put together our ceremony, etc). She also has so much wedding experience and was able to navigate us through many decisions we had to make or to determine what the right wedding etiquette even was! It was so rewarding to always have that sounding board and to have someone you trust guiding you through.
Nicole truly shined though the day of! She had an insanely detailed schedule to keep us all organized and was always there making sure we were on track and no detail was missed. She was even, on the fly, able to sew one of my bridesmaids into her dress (who accidentally ordered it two sizes too big and wasn’t able to get it taken in)! I was stunned at how well she did it – you couldn’t even tell! There was no issue Nicole couldn't solve. Above all else, Nicole is dedicated, patient and kind no matter how stressful the situation. It was such a delight working with you Nicole, thank you for everything!!!

We hired Nicole as the month of coordinator for our daughter's July wedding, and she was the perfect choice for us. She has a lovely, calm demeanor and she enjoys what she does. Leading up to the wedding, she kept us on track and gave us great ideas and advice, but she was not controlling at all. My daughter and I chose all the vendors, but then Nicole took over with contacting them all, coordinating the timeline, and making sure they were prepared for the day. That was a huge timesaver for us! On the day of the wedding, Nicole had everything organized and all the details taken care of. It was wonderful being able to enjoy getting ready with my daughter and her attendants and to not worry about anything, because Nicole had it all under control. I highly recommend Nicole and LK events. Thank you Nicole- you truly are the best!
We worked with Lauren, Jen and Jamie. From the beginning they were on it! We had already selected our venue (the Adler Planetarium) and the date, other than that....nada. We were planning from out of state and they made it soooo easy! They took care of everything. I'm sure that I don't even know all of what they did behind the scenes. :) I was even able to have the items for the welcome bags shipped to Lauren and Jen brought them (assembled and everything) to the hotel. Lauren and Jen were at every single vendor meeting helping us navigate the options. We knew when we hired them that Lauren was unavailable the week of the wedding, but Jen and Jamie were fantastic that week! There were several events leading up to the Saturday night wedding and they were on top of all of it.
I really can't speak highly enough of these well organized, energetic, kind, fun and capable women. Thank you LK Events!
Hiring Nicole from LK Events as my day-of wedding coordinator was the best wedding investment I made.
Being the control freak I am, I knew I wouldn't need much help with the actual planning, but wanted someone to handle all the day-of stress and details. Especially with a lot of family coming in from out of town (and not necessarily used to getting around in a big city) Nicole was a godsend.
She created and provided customized schedules to vendors, bridesmaids and groomsmen. She confirmed everything with vendors the week of the wedding (and put out several fires that could have been HUGE issues had she not been on top of them beforehand.) She delivered my welcome bags to the hotels.
She and her assistant helped friends and family members get taxis from the church to the reception, made sure everything stayed as close to the schedule as possible (while staying calm and collected dealing with a major catering issue that threatened to throw the entire evening off and managing my impending freakout in the process.)
She even tracked down my husband's ipod that he left on the trolley that we needed for our entrance to the reception.
Bottom line, if you want someone who is meticulously organized to make sure your wedding day goes smoothly and will act as your advocate for friends, family and vendors - leaving you free to actually ENJOY your wedding day, you MUST hire Nicole from LK Events.
If you need to skimp on your budget elsewhere, it is totally worth it and necessary to have Nicole there on your wedding day.
We hired LK Events as our week/day of wedding planner. It was honestly the best decision we made during the wedding planning process! Lauren Knuepfer (the owner of LK Events) was seriously a rock star, we LOVED her! Lauren always made herself available for consults (we had a lot of etiquette and logistical questions throughout the process) and was incredibly responsive to e-mails, phone calls and text messages. She also assisted with any vendor recommendations we needed and helped with any contract questions that came up.
Our wedding timeline, created by Lauren, was detailed, thorough, and had line items we would never in a million years think of. On our wedding day she was organized and kept every single person involved on track. We don’t know how we would have gotten through the day without her. Seriously!

The main reasons that I wanted to work with a wedding planner were because I had no idea where to start planning a wedding, and even more, I wanted our families, friends and us to be able to relax and truly enjoy the wedding weekend. Nevertheless, my fiancé was not thrilled about the idea of hiring a planner, but he agreed to consider it, so we met with Lauren of LK Events. After meeting Lauren, I knew right away that we should to hire her, and the doubts that my fiancé had were gone as well. Before I met Lauren, I was nervous and not excited about planning the wedding, but Lauren put me at ease and made me really excited about planning our wedding. Planning our wedding was a ton of work, and we could not have done it without Lauren. Lauren was amazing throughout the entire planning process. She helped us to pick vendors that we loved without blowing our budget. She is extremely professional and detail oriented, but also a ton of fun to work with! Lauren worked extremely hard to make our wedding day perfect. I highly recommend using LK Events!
When friends and acquaintances of ours get engaged, we tell them two things: 1) Hire a wedding planner because it really is worth it, and 2) Hire LK Events. So often you hear about wedding planners who are too aggressive; we are here to tell you that LK is quite the opposite -- Lauren put forth a yeoman's effort in making the entire experience as smooth as possible by taking care of EVERYTHING while still involving us in all of the decisions; not an easy task I can assure you! From hotels to transportation to gifts to the band to the photographer and on and on, she was right there making sure everything was signed, sealed and delivered! Everything down to our meetings was painless with LK -- she met us at places and times that were convenient for us, and always seemed to have time when we knew she had countless other clients to tend to. Bottom line, she took care of everything that goes along with a wedding so we could simply enjoy ours. We have no doubt that our wedding experience was made better by hiring LK Events; and have no doubt hiring them will make yours better too.
Lauren was our week coordinator for our June wedding in Chicago. She also gave us lists of vendors so we didn't have to do so much research ourselves (Chicago has a ton of vendors...). She was a HUGE help. She was very responsive and recommended wonderful vendors. The weeks around the wedding she did everything in her power to make sure that things ran smoothly. Our event (at least to me knowledge) was flawless. All of our guests to us what a wonderful time they had, and we could not have had such a successful event without Lauren. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding coordinator - she is extremely organized, well connected, responsive, and everything you looking for in a coordinator. Lauren planned our wedding from the get go after we had picked a venue and she did a spectacular job. We were planning from Boston for a wedding in Chicago and I only made 3 trips out prior to the wedding (we planned over about a year) and my husband only made 2 trips. We were able to get everything done in those trips including 3 tasting and a re-tasting, cake tastings, multiple florist appointments (including a sample), meeting the DJ, meeting the photographer, my hair and makeup trials. She had an answer for all our questions. She coordinated everything for the rehearsal dinner and the day of, and the wedding day was super stress free for both of us. She had a crazy organized schedule.
We were able to do most of the planning via email and a few phone appointments. Every vendor that Lauren recommended was spectacular. We only had to talk to 1 DJ before we booked and 1 photographer. We also had the best caterer and baker for our cake. She was able to coordinate our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hr, and our reception without a hitch. When we weren't sure what the weather was going to be like, she did a dual set up, and then when the weather looked good, called us to tell us it would be outside, and we didn't have to worry about a thing.
The day of the wedding was so stress free for me as the bride. I enjoyed every minute of my wedding and our pictures reflect that (we both look very stress free) and all our family and friends could tell how much we were enjoying ourselves. There were things that came up during the day, and I didn't have to deal with any of it.
Lauren also found us vendors within our budget and worked with us to help us stay within our budget and had some creative suggestions about things that saved us a lot of money. She has great relationships with vendors as well and EVERYONE we spoke to loved her.
Would definitely recommend her as a planner. She will make your wedding amazing and also make it the best day ever!
We were so lucky to have found Lauren to be our day-of coordinator for our wedding Sept 4th! After interviewing a handful of other coordinators, I had learned quickly the value of first impressions and knew right off that Lauren was a good fit for us. I was doing a lot of the planning myself (with a decent amount of help from the hubby-to-be), but I really wanted to be able to let go of the details on the wedding day and truly enjoy it. Being a bit of a control freak, I was worried I wouldn't be able to actually hand over full responsibility to someone else, but I felt so confident with Lauren. If there is one thing I can say to all brides-to-be, hiring a coordinator really is the best money you will spend. What I really appreciated initially is that Lauren was so helpful in the months leading up to the day. I was told by a few other coordinators that they would charge for emails or phone calls prior to the week of the wedding. But Lauren was totally open to providing advice or insight. It was clear she has had extensive experience in weddings of all shapes and sizes. Even though my wedding was relatively small and simple, she treated it as the most important wedding ever. She is extremely professional and handled all the details smoothly and calmly. Things just got done without anyone noticing, which not only put my husband and I at ease, it also put our families and wedding party at ease so everyone was able to just enjoy the party. Our wedding was everything we could have imagined. Both my husband and I have said that there is nothing we would have changed and that it was the best day of our lives. We truly have Lauren and her team to thank for that!!!
I can not say enough good things about LK Events! We were not planning on having a Wedding Coordinator but as the day got closer we realized we needed some assistance with ALL the details! From the moment I met Lauren I knew we made the right decision! She is so organized and handled every detail for our wedding with such ease. I could go on forever about everything she did for us; instead I’ll just highlight some of the ones that made my life sooo much easier leading up to the wedding. She contacted all of our vendors and coordinated their arrival on the day of. She put together a very detailed timeline for our entire wedding weekend. All we had to do was send it out to our family and friends. She brought everything I needed the day of the wedding over to our venue and at the end of the night everything I left behind (including my dress because I changed) was in our hotel room. We had the most amazing wedding and I am sure it would not have been possible without the help of LK Events!

Lauren is a dream to have as your wedding planner. She is so much fun to work with and she has a take-charge attitude that allows her to think on her feet and handle any situation that comes her way. I highly recommend hiring LK Events to help coordinate your wedding. I have to admit that initially, I thought I could "do it all" myself because I tend to be very detail oriented. However, hiring Lauren was the best thing that we could have possibly done. My husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our wedding weekend because Lauren took care of all of the details for us....from helping me to make last minute decisions to orchestrating the rehearsal to coordinating and managing multiple vendors to taking care of the "bumps" that arose on the day of, she was an absolute DREAM. We didn't have to worry about a thing. She made me feel comfortable the entire time. She has a pleasant, upbeat, and positive personality and also knows how to take charge to get things done. Hiring Lauren to help with our June 2010 wedding was by far the best decision that we made through the entire planning process. As the day-of coordinator for my wedding, Lauren proved to be the answer to my prayers!!! I had been nearly single-handedly planning the many details of my upcoming nuptials for over a year, and at the last minute, just weeks before the big day, I decided that I wanted someone to assist me on the day of the wedding to help alleviate my stress. Lauren did this and so much more!!!
Upon first meeting her during our initial consultation, I just knew that Lauren was the right fit for what I was looking for. I had interviewed quite a few other day-of coordinators, but none were able to put me immediately at ease in the way that Lauren did. She was very professional, attentive and organized, while also being extremely personable and comforting.
Overall, Lauren’s services went well beyond my expectations, especially considering her very reasonable rate. Aside from supporting me during the walk-thru at the wedding venue, and coordinating the wedding party rehearsal at the dinner the evening before, Lauren made herself available for anything else I needed in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Throughout the process, I had complete confidence that she had everything under control and had a great understanding of my vision for the wedding.
On the day of the wedding, Lauren was the saving grace that pulled all of the many elements together. Every piece of the puzzle was where it needed to be, and everything looked beautiful! When unexpected “surprises” arose, she took care of them with ease, and allowed me to enjoy my wedding without worry or stress.

Lauren is the BEST wedding planner any bride could ask for. Being in California during my 15 months of planning, I was stressed, overwhelmed and lost until I hired Lauren. She made everything easy for my family and I and had great knowledge of every different vendor you could imagine. She was professional, prompt, and didn't let anything slip through the cracks. Lauren's attention to detail was impeccable, and I would recommend her to any bride and groom looking for an amazing planner.
She helped me coordinate my wedding 6 months ago at the Drake hotel in Chicago and I could not have asked for a more perfect day! She is very down to earth, extremely attentive to individual wants/needs, and went ABOVE & BEYOND my expectations of her. In addition, I must say she has excellent taste & suggestions but at the same time would not try and force anything upon you. I ended up finding out she had another wedding the very next day and I would have never guessed, as I felt like I was her one and only :)
Hire her if you only want a day-of coordinator (trust me you will need it!!) or hire her to do the whole 9 yards.. either way it will be PERFECT & you will worry about NOTHING! :)
I would HIGHLY recommend Lauren as a wedding coordinator... She is extremely professional, a very warm and kind individual who absolutely loves what she does. She not only says how excited she is to help you but you can actually feel it in the way she talks about the whole wedding process. It really isn't all about the bottom line but rather about the dream of your day and how to make it a reality.
Lauren comes very highly recommended by both vendors and clients alike. We were really impressed as to how she made us feel when discussing booking her for our wedding. It was like our needs were her top priority. She is calm and organized on the day, staying behind the scenes but always there to manage as needed. She puts together a great timeline, and works with the rest of the vendor team for input. I don't know how I would have managed all these decisions and choices without a professional like Lauren.
