g, which I was told I would. Secondly, when I had booked, I was told it was an unlimited amount of rides back and forth between venue and hotel. Although this was the case, the driver gave me an extremely hard time about an extra ride I wanted to add in to also take the groomsmen to the venue. The driver had such a bad attitude that he said “it says 2 rides. I’ll do whatever you want because it’s your wedding but it says 2 rides.” Then after dropping off me and my bridesmaids he proceeds to say “do the boys know I’m coming? Will they be ready? They better be ready by the time I get there, it’s a 20 minute ride.” When going back to the hotel to get the boys, he tried to take the guests over before my husband and groomsmen, which my husband, father and FIL told him no, the boys needed to go first. When I originally booked the bus, I asked for a wheelchair accessible one, as our best man is in a wheelchair. Well, the day comes and he goes on the ramp and gets stuck 6’ in the air for 20-30 minutes. My wedding coordinator had called Local Motion dispatch and found out that the driver never checked in with them, nor did he report that there were issues with the ramp on the bus. Now, my husband’s cousin had to get on the bus and piggy back our best man off and someone else had to go on and get the wheelchair. All of the groomsmen and guests ended up driving and no one took the bus after the girls. The whole issue caused our wedding to run late, caused us to miss out on pictures of the 2 of us as well as with family.
Fast forward 2 days later, I called Local Motion to discuss our experience with someone. They had to talk to a manager and would call me back but never did until I called back the following day. From what I was told by the supervisor on the phone, the driver did check in but there were no issues with the ramp. I’m not sure which to believe because I was told 2 conflicting stories… he didn’t check in and check his equipment then he did and the equipment was fine. I’d say definitely take caution when looking into this company, as you don’t 100% know what you’re going to get..

Lisa and her team were communicative both before and after we signed the contract, including when the hotel requested that the bus park on a side street rather than at the front door. On the day of the wedding, the bus showed up on time and followed our requested itinerary without any problems. In addition, one of our guests left her phone and ID on the bus and we were able to retrieve them pretty easily after the event was over. We would absolutely recommend them for your wedding or similar event in the Boston area. Also nb though the quoted price was a bit higher than some others, it does include driver gratuity. a school bus to shuttle our guests from the hotel to the venue and back at the end of the night. Our driver was excellent. The bus arrived early to the hotel and shuttled our guests promptly to our venue. At the end of the night the bus again was right on time to shuttle guests safely to the hotel. The booking process was very straightforward and the reservations agent was very responsive with quotes for the bus. We felt that Local Motion was one of the most reasonably priced operators in the area.

We had a guest vomit on the bus on the way home ( yeah i know... ) but they were so nice and did not charge me the full cleaning fee the they easily could have. the ONLY reason that I am not giving them a 5 is because they are not very responsive via email... the process of scheduling, calling and discussing the plan was not as smooth as I would have liked as a stressed out bride. They may not respond to your emails, but I urge you to CALL them .. they did a really really great job and I am SO happy we went with them.

Our biggest complaint is despite providing the correct address to drop folks off in Waltham--and having our wedding coordinator confirm on the day of--2 of our 3 drivers went rouge and dropped guests at not quite the same place. Everything turned out fine, but it was extra work to make sure people knew where to go at the end of the night.

We had two different busses (one of the girls and one for the boys) and the bus for the boys even stopped part way to the venue so they could take some pictures. Very accommodating!!! We also had a van for our wedding guests at the end of the night and he was fabulous also. Couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience!!!
