My (now) husband and I found Loft 310 back in March of 2019 and fell IN LOVE. After a year of planning, COVID happened and 2020 became such a year of uncertainty and loss, for us and this industry. Throughout all of the ups and downs, Loft 310 was very transparent with us, kept up with communications, and offered many options for us to contemplate. As it came closer to our big day, we were told we could move forward with our wedding!! Loft 310 went ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate us and our wedding while also following state regulations. We were not expecting for our wedding to even happen, let alone happen without hiccups.. but our day could not have been more perfect and everything flowed wonderfully. I could not ask for more out of this venue and we are so happy with the service we've received. Our wedding was a DREAM.
Everything was great up until Shannon left the loft a month before my wedding. Once Shannon left the following events took place
* one month before the wedding Shannon left the loft
* 21 days prior I had my final meeting with Lori where penthouse pricing was discussed and misinformation was given
* Lori told us at the meeting that we would be able to set up for the wedding the day of starting at noon because the venue was booked Friday
* Received an email from Nathan at 1:30 on Friday about setting up for the wedding before rehearsal, we live 2 hours away
* didn’t meet Nathan, our new wedding planner, until the rehearsal dinner. Less than 24 hours before our wedding.
* When we arrived for rehearsal we were locked out for 10 min
* Because I was unable to set up the day before because of misinformation the day of the wedding I had to get makeup done, run to the loft to set up, go back to the cottage to get my hair done, to come back to the loft for the ceremony
* The salad at the wedding was the wrong salad
* There was no champagne toast
* $600 worth of desserts were thrown out after being set out for only an hour and 45 min
* I paid for a projector and screen and there were no screens used
* I asked for fruit for appetizers and dessert and didn’t see any fruit out
* Guests had mentioned being held in small coordinates while waiting to be let into the ceremony loft. They said it was extremely crowded, cold, and felt as though it was unorganized
I did reach out to the loft to see if they wanted to make any accommodations for all that went wrong before making a review and have yet to hear back from them, it has been a week.
One of the main reasons I booked the loft for my wedding is because I loved the space and felt confident in Shannon and her abilities, and once she left things did not go as planned. I would not recommend the loft for what I paid and the service I received.
I had my wedding here last November and it was an experience I will never forget! Everything went smoothly, Shannon made sure everyone was on track and really helped me relax on my big day! They are so attentive to any questions you have and we’re always helpful. The loft is so beautiful, a blank canvas that you can dress it up any way you want! We also had the get ready rooms for the groomsmen and bridesmaids which was perfect to be able to be onsite early and just sit back and sip on some mimosas! Everyone that works at the loft we’re so nice and willing to help out, it really made for a great experience and would recommend the Loft to anyone!
Everyone warned me, "no wedding goes perfectly", but honestly, our Loft 310 wedding was PERFECT!
From the venue to the staff to the food, Loft310 was the ideal event space for my wife and I to create the wedding we had dreamed of. We had our wedding in the Loft 310 and the event space was already beautiful before we started decorating it. It was the perfect starting point that enabled us to add our own personality and touches. Loft 310's all star staff partnered with us to plan menus, timelines, layouts and we were so impressed with their professionalism. It was obvious from day one that they are very experienced and we really valued their opinions (we'd never planned a wedding before!) We were also extremely impressed with how helpful they were during our rehearsal, working with our officiant, as well as how well they managed the wedding day itself. Last, but certainly not least, the food. The food was FANTASTIC. We had so many guests come up to us and compliment the food, both the quality and the unique options we had available. They were able to make both the vegan bride and her carnivore family happy!
I would suggest Loft 310 to anybody who is looking for a wedding venue in Michigan. Our guests loved the venue, the food, the staff, and the Kalamazoo / Portage area.
I am not really sure where to begin with Loft 310 and their staff - they were nothing short of incredible!
We live out of state, so as you could imagine, it was difficult being to far from the wedding venue. However, Shannon and her team were always in contact with us and welcomed us for a visit or walk through the few times we were in town. The planning phases were seamless - Shannon created the most amazing Google Spreadsheet that kept us on the same page from day one! She was open to changes and happy to answer my many questions.
Day of our wedding was no different. Shannon was in contact with me even during the day of rehearsal and morning of (the weather was making us nervous), but she was always available. Shannon and her team helped turn our vision into reality on the day of our wedding and we were absolutely blown away with how perfect everything was!
I still to this day brag about this unique venue and my out of town guests loved the space and what downtown Kalamazoo has to offer!
We were in the first handful of weddings to have our ceremony in the Chapel space. We would tour it while still under construction, and I can safely say that during the rehearsal I was blown away! The folks at Loft 310 really have an eye for detail and know how to do lighting, space... aesthetics were incredible all the way! We received so many compliments on the beauty of the venue. With a white canvas, even in the Upper Loft, your day can be anything you want it to be... and it will never go out of style.
The best part about Loft 310 is that you get the best of *all* worlds, in one. The food was amazing - we did a salmon and a steak dish - and the presentation for dessert was laid out beautifully. The DJs provided were so friendly; they gave us a call to go over our preferred music, our Do Not Play list, and shared their experience with us since we did not get a chance to meet them prior to the big day. They coordinated everything from the grand entrance, to the first dance, and beyond. The pieces all came together so smoothly. They also had a designated person (Megan - what a doll) who came around and made sure that I always had a full drink in my hand - as the bride, it's not easy to make a break for the bar!!
Most of all, highest kudos to Shannon. She is SO responsive, creative, and made everyone feel welcome during the rehearsal and on the big day. Honestly, this was worth every bit of time and energy spent. We wouldn't change a single thing about our day. Can we do it again?
There's so much I want to say here because this place and their team is so incredible.
The whole 1.5 year planning process was a BREEZE. Shannon and Amanda made everything so easy for us. Even on the wedding day, it was perfect.
The bartender (I feel terrible we forgot her name, but that's because we were pretty drunk thanks to her LOL), she was AMAZING. Every time we turned around there was a drink in our hand. Someone even bumped me on the dance floor and I dropped my glass. When I went to get another drink, she had it already ready in a plastic cup. I was blown away, honestly.
We had our ceremony on the SkyDeck and our reception in the Upper Loft. The beauty of both spaces is so simple yet so elegant and clean. During our ceremony, right as we were saying "I do," it started to sprinkle and honestly, I knew it was meant to be. like how perfect is that?!
I was one of those brides that was VERY particular about the music being played and DJ's Jon & Noah did NOT disappoint. We got so many compliments on the DJ's, they were so much fun and kept helping the groomsmen find creative ways to ice my husband. They made it so much more fun.
The food was AMAZING, the desserts to die for. I can't thank everyone enough for all their hard work that day.
We wish we could re-live that day over and over because it was INCREDIBLE. Thank you a million times, honestly. Seriously such a dream come true. <3
We had our wedding ceremony on the SkyDeck and reception at loft 310, It was the best day ever! The staff made sure that everything ran smoothly and was set up on time. From the first tour to our final meeting everyone was great with communication and answering questions. The guests could not stop raving about the food and the desserts. The location is perfect to have both parts of the wedding in one location. Also there are many great photo opportunities within walking distance. Our guests also received wrist bands at the end of the night so we could enjoy all the entertainment district has to offer. We would recommend this place to anyone.
Our wedding was in June, we booked the Skydeck rooftop for the ceremony & loft space for reception. Loft 310 was detailed, supportive, and reliable! We felt totally calm and comfortable on our wedding day knowing the staff was there to make the day go smoothly. Shannon & the Loft 310 team couldn't have been more detailed & prepared. They made our planning process happy and exciting. We had the best day ever thanks to all the staff!
I had such high expectations for Loft 310 and they met all of them.. I honestly couldn’t be any happier with my choice of getting married there. Shannon was a huge help, especially with planning and her help with organizing the big day! Highly recommend!!
A night to remember. We can't say enough about this beautiful venue and their amazing staff (especially Event Planner Shannon Potts). From the start of the wedding process, we fell in love with this venue because of its natural beauty, friendliness of the staff, and options to bundle several services all from one place.
We were so impressed with the event staff and how smoothly the entire wedding went. The bartending services, the quality of food, and the DJ (DJ Joey B) were complimented by all of our guests.
We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful venue in Michigan.
Being a semi-crazy person with Type A personality, I was in search for a venue that checked every box on my list of what would be considered our perfect venue. Loft 310 did exactly that. I could probably right a novel about how many amazing experiences we had with Loft 310, but I will try to keep this as short and sweet as possible, reviewing what I would consider "hot topics" when wedding planning.
The Food: It was absolutely fantastic. The salmon and white cheddar mashed potatoes were a serious wedding highlight. So many guests raved about not only dinner, but also the appetizers as well. We still have people mentioning that salmon to us...let's just say it's highly recommended :)
The Space: Loft 310 is absolutely beautiful. Modern, elegant, and truly a clean slate. We could make the space whatever we wanted it to be and the team at Loft 310 were willing to work with us to make our wedding dreams come true. We rented Loft 310 for our ceremony and the Upper Loft for our reception. Both spaces were fantastic and the transition between spaces was incredibly easy. We also loved that the Upper Loft came with Bride/Groom suites, which allowed us space to get ready and take some fantastic photos prior to the wedding. We had approximately 190 people and the space did not feel crowded at all. There was plenty of room to dance, converse, eat, etc.
The Loft Team: Shannon and her team were phenomenal. They were so thorough and made sure that I consider things not even on my checklist. Every single question was answered and they made sure that we were content every step of the way. The day of our wedding everything ran on time and was so smooth. I honestly never felt stressed one time.
The DJ: DJ Joey was awesome! We completed the paperwork he sent us and had a brief conversation before the wedding. He was able to pinpoint us exactly and every song played at our wedding was perfect.
Photo Ops: We loved that Loft 310 was willing to allow us to take photos in other spaces throughout the building as long as they weren't rented. We were able to take photos in Gatsby and Skydeck (sunset) and the pictures turned out fantastic.
Overall, our experience was better than we could have ever imagined. We would give Loft 310 100 stars out of 5 if we could. Thank you for making our wedding such a wonderful memory.
Loft 310 is amazing! No matter if you're just using the venues themselves (they have so many spaces available) or you're going all the way in with Bash Bakery, flowers, catering, suites, and more - they'll make your experience easy and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or better staff for our wedding. No matter what hiccups happened along the way, they made sure that the day of was everything we wanted it to be. Not to mention, it is STUNNING!! Our guests loved the look of everything and are still talking about how great the food was!
My husband and I got married at the Sky Deck and Loft 310 on September 1, 2018. We had the most magical day thanks to the Entertainment district. Every step of the way Amanda and Shannon were so incredibly helpful in orgainizing every detail for our big day. They made sure every detail was as perfect as it could be. It stormed right before the ceremony, but the crew hustled to dry the Sky Deck off with just enough time to seat gusts on dry seats prior to our outdoor ceremony. The two ready rooms are perfect for the bridal party to get ready in before the ceremony. The venue is great for a big or small wedding. Our 200 guests fit nicely and everyone had a blast. The food was absolutely amazing, and everyone loved our DJ, Joey B, provided through the Entertainment District. The staff was thoughtful enough to save some appetizers for the bridal party in our lounge. DJ Joey B was super helpful in creating a fun and memorable wedding playlist and kept everyone on the dance floor. The speakers broke half way through the reception, but they were quickly replaced with some portable speakers. Shannon promptly answered all of our emails and questions in a kind and helpful demeanor. The only complaint we had was that there was some confusion about the alcohol offered in the select package that we had picked. Booking through the Entertainment District is worth every penny. Overall, we had an amazing day that we will remember for a lifetime. We are forever greatful to the Entertainment District for helping us plan and put on the best celebration of our love we could ever imagine!
We had our wedding here in Dec and the event was everything we could have asked for. Shannon and her team were amazing! The food was incredible, the Staff was awesome, and the entire evening was perfect. They all made the process for planning our big day So much easier!
The loft is a wonderful place to get married! We had a great experience start to finish! As an out of town bride it was so nice that they have everything in house. Shannon and her team are wedding experts and truly made us and our guests feel so special. We got married on Skydeck and had our reception in Loft310. Both spaces are gorgeous and the food was amazing. Our DJ also kept everyone out on the dance floor all night! Three months later we still have everyone telling us how amazing our wedding was! We recommend the loft to anyone looking for a venue! Thank you all again for making our day perfect!
If you are looking for a great venue for your wedding... then this is it! Living in Chicago, and growing up in Northeast Michigan, I knew I wanted to get married in Michigan so that my family would be able to attend easily, and we could avoid the dreaded Chicago wedding price tag. I stumbled upon Loft 310 on a Google search, and it was the first and only venue tour I had.
I was hooked! The venue is incredible, and has that unique modern loft feel paired with beautiful interior design that matched our aesthetic. We booked the Upper Loft for our ceremony and reception and The Gatsby for our cocktail hour. With an Old Hollywood theme to our decor and attire, when I saw The Gatsby I was like YES. And let me tell you, some of our best photos came from that room!
Everything from the amazing Google Doc they provide you for planning, to the minute by minute coordination on the day of is worth EVERY PENNY. These people know what they are doing, and they do it beautifully. The cocktails were perfectly mixed, not watered down, the food was incredible... which never happens at a wedding, and everyone had the best time, which just warms your heart when you have been stressing all year to make this the best day ever.
The best part? Everything is within walking distance to this venue. Being from out of town, and a larger city, most of my friends from Chicago were able to come in without a car. You could walk from train station to the hotel to the salon, to the venue. We even had our rehearsal dinner down the street! It just made everything so easy.
DO NOT HESITATE. Book this venue for your special day... you will thank me later. :)
Loft 310 was wonderful! We are so happy that we chose to have our wedding there. Some reasons why:
1. The staff takes care of you and ensures that your day is amazing. We got to kick back and enjoy the fruits of our planning on the day of our wedding thanks to the detail-oriented staff.
2. Loft 310 provides great planning support. We only had 4 months to plan our wedding long-distance from New York City. Shannon was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and helpful whenever I emailed her with a question, and she put me at ease at the final planning meeting. Their planning spreadsheet also helped me stay organized and on top of all the details I needed to consider.
3. The space is clean, stylish, and looks beautiful in photos. We had a Sunday evening wedding, and being the only event that day, we were able to book the Upper Loft, Loft 310, and the Gatsby. Our guests loved flowing from one space to another from the ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. It made for a great party!
4. The food is awesome. Our guests raved about the cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres, especially the sausage stuffed mushrooms and mac-n-cheese bites. The dinner buffet got rave reviews as well, and the macarons, mini pies, and cupcakes tasted as good as they looked.
5. We were able to adjust our menu choices and cut things that we didn’t need up until a few weeks before our wedding, which helped us to stay within our budget.
6. The downtown location makes it easy to walk to another bar for an after-party, take an Uber/Lyft, or stroll back to the Radisson, where many of us stayed.
We are grateful to the Loft 310 team for a fantastic experience and highly recommend them!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Loft 310 in mid-November and I cannot even begin to tell you how absolutely magical everything was- Everyone at the loft really knows how to throw a party!
Katie, and Amanda:
They work in the offices and with sales, and they are absolutely amazing! From the first instant we met them until the goodbyes at the end, they worked tirelessly to make sure we felt completely comfortable with them. Katie showed us around the venue originally, and even took time out of her day to do it again a few weeks later because my mom was dying to see the ballroom. Seriously some of the nicest humans and are amazingly quick to respond, so you always feel like a priority.
Shannon:
My GOODNESS I love this woman. She was so incredibly attentive to every single detail we wanted in our day it was insane. She emailed back in a timely fashion, and I never had any hesitation that she 100% knew what she was doing. Shannon took time to get to know me and my fiancé, and we even had inside jokes by the time the big day was happening (#Doritos2k18). I really appreciate that she only told us what we really needed to know the day of (she didn’t bother us with little details- she just took care of it!) and she never even bat an eye at us changing things even 30 minutes before our grand entrance. Working with people all day, and especially in a high pressure situations like weddings, it can be easy to forget that you are working with someone’s most favorite day, and I never once felt as if Shannon was “over” everything happening or irritated: she really knew the details that we would remember forever, and made sure that she kept in mind that this was our wedding. We appreciated her so much it is hard to put in words, but trust me, she’s great!!!!
Food:
Okay the food was LIT. So many people are still RAVING about the food options 2 weeks later. We had the plated Pineapple Salmon and Chicken Medallions with green beans and Mashed Potatoes and everyone loved it:)
Staff: The servers, bartenders, and day of event assistants (Michael and Caitlyn) were SO SO SO NICE! Again, I know these kind of jobs can get very tiring, however they were always willing to go the extra mile. I spoke with a few of the servers at the end of the night, and they took the time to stop what they were doing and made sure everything was going well. Michael stayed until the very end with us, and even got us drinks throughout the night which was beyond helpful!
Tips and such: If this venue is within your budget ABSOLUTLY go for it! As with anything wedding related, it could sometimes get a little bit pricier then initially expected, so make sure you have that wiggle room within that budget for extra things (and don’t forget about service taxes and such). They also offer the option for cleanup and storage for an extra fee, but make sure to let those helping you with everything know that it is an extra fee! My parents got a little confused and almost kept everything there overnight. Just make sure everyone helping you knows that you are not keeping things overnight so when the staff asks you if you are keeping it overnight they know that that is not a free option! They also hand out wrist bands at the end of the night to get into places downstairs and that was SO FUN! I got to ride a mechanical bull IN MY WEDDING DRESS!!!
I would totally chose this venue again! Thank you so much all the Loft 310 staff for helping us make the wedding of our dreams come true!
If you are looking for a classy, trendy wedding venue the Loft 310 is for you! My (now) husband and I booked the SkyDeck for our ceremony, the Gatsby for a cocktail hour, the Loft 310 for the reception, and both Penthouse suites for our bridesmaids and groomsmen. Having everything at one location the day of was perfect and definitely contributed to a stress-free day. Shannon, the wedding coordinator, and her team handled every detail and made our wedding day seamless. My husband and I live in Chicago and had zero issues planning an out of town wedding thanks to the Loft 310 team. Thank you for everything!!
We got married 2 weeks ago on the sky deck and had our reception in the upper loft. Let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazing!!!!! Shannon, Katie and Katrina were seriously the best and thought of everything. The staff is amazing, the venue is absolutely beautiful and the location is prime! We also stayed in the penthouse the night before and the night of and it really just made things so easy! Loft 310 Has it all. If you want an all inclusive experience, this is the place! Taco bar was to die for and the bash bakery knows how to make some bomb desserts!
Thank you all for making the best weekend ever a dream come true!
Sandy and Rocky Parker
We toured Loft 310 and fell in love the moment we stepped foot into the space. Their venues are stunning and they have services available for anything you could possibly need or want for your wedding day - it all depends on your budget. It can get quite pricey if you use their services or select any of their upgrades (decor/linens/chargers/chandeliers, chiavari chairs, Bash Bakery, hors d’oeuvres, late night snacks, bridal/groom suites, etc.), however, they are flexible and allow you to bring in and set-up your own decor and customize the space however you imagine. They even offer decor installation and clean-up (for a price, but we felt it was worth it) so that you can relax and enjoy the day/night. If you follow their social media, they often have promos and giveaways that you can win to enhance your space or event!
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Shannon. Her organization, planning and communication was exceptional, especially since we were planning the wedding from 2 hours away. She was very accommodating and quickly responded to emails. She made planning the wedding so easy.
We rented one of the Penthouses above the venue, which aside from some AC issues the night before the wedding, was totally worth it. We had Bare Beauty Bar & Spa come to the Penthouse (without a travel fee) to do hair and make-up for 10 ladies, and they did a phenomenal job. There was plenty of room for all of us and it was such a fun experience for my bridesmaids and me, and later for our wedding party when we had downtime between the ceremony and rehearsal. Furthermore, it was such a beautiful space for photos! Having the Penthouse available to us at any point during the wedding was definitely a plus.
The food was delicious and we received many compliments from our guests. We elected not to have hors d’oeuvres at our cocktail hour, but felt that the dinner portions were satisfying enough so that our guests didn’t go hungry. Furthermore, they are very accommodating to dietary restrictions and food allergies. I just wish we could have sampled more than 2 entrees at our tasting!
You can bring in outside cake/dessert as long as it’s from an accredited bakery and they don’t charge a cake cutting or serving fee.
When envisioning our day, we considered the DJ to be one of the most important parts of our reception. It was too expensive to bring in an outside DJ, but the one that was assigned to our reception did a good job. I was a little worried because we didn’t hear from him (via email) until the week of the wedding and didn’t actually meet him until 15 minutes before the wedding party introductions, but he adhered to our “must-play” list and had everyone out on the dance floor until the very end.
When all was said and done, our guests could not stop raving about the venue, the food and overall how much fun they had. The actual day went very smoothly and the staff did a great job behind the scenes to make that happen. We would definitely recommend Loft 310!

I cannot even begin to say how happy we were that we chose Loft 310 as our venue for our ceremony and reception! They answered every single question we had and explained things so well. Yes, the pricing and understanding some things can get confusing but I never felt like they were avoiding telling me anything. You just need to ask questions if you want something clarified. Our ceremony was on the SkyDeck and I feel like it turned out so well. I didn't notice any hiccups with the microphone or the ceremony music. Our reception was in the Upper Loft and the space worked amazingly well for what I envisioned. The food was amazing and tasted exactly the same as the tasting prior to the wedding (we had chicken medallions and pork). Our guests have continued to comment that its some of the best food they've had at weddings. The service was also amazing and again, our guests noticed! We also used their in house DJ and he did everything we asked and more! We asked him to just keep people on the dance floor and he did exactly that. Though he didn't play many songs on my "must play" list, I wasn't really disappointed at all because the songs he did play kept people on the dance floor and everyone was having a good time. I felt like they took care of us so well that day and it felt less stressful knowing they were making sure things were running smoothly.
I really can’t stress enough I would not recommend this place for your wedding. There is a lot of wow factor when you first walk in but by the end of the wedding you will realize it’s all about the money for them and not the customer experience.
They handle a lot for you, which is one of the reasons we really picked the venue to begin with but that ended up being a downside in the end because they don’t have a focus on quality like we thought they did and didn’t put nearly as much attention to detail on a lot of stuff that was important to me.
For example, we really emphasized that the DJ was a very important part of our day for us. To go with an outside DJ tacked on a large fee for “set up” and we were assured if we went with theirs that we would receive a quality DJ so we trusted them and went with theirs. I wasn’t given the name of the DJ until the week before the wedding. I personally sat with Shannon and went over all our important moments where music played a huge factor in our day. Then we met in person with the DJ to ensure everyone was on the same page. The music for our ceremony and all major dances got messed up, things weren’t announced right, timing was wrong. When you go to a wedding you know what a good DJ experience is and we really did not receive that and we had many guests that noticed.
The most frustrating part is when we escalated it to the people running the venue we were pretty much brushed off.
There was many more problems we had with the venue, if you have any questions as a bride to be or somebody booking feel free to message me.
My daughter’s wedding was at Loft 310 on Friday, August 3, 2018. The venue is beautiful and we had a blessed day celebrating but there were some things that happened that were very disappointing for the newlyweds. One such occurrence was at the beginning of the ceremony music was supposed to be switched and this was not done smoothly, and at the end, again not transitioned well. During the ceremony the mothers of bridge and groom were to pour wine they choose with notes on why, into glasses for the bride and groom to pour together in unity. The coordinator took the bottles without the notes and did not open the bottles so the groom had to do this during the ceremony and the notes were never found. The music was picked out very intentionally and was special to them and the DJ was not good at all. We understood to bring in a DJ of our choice was an additional expense but my daughter was convinced by the venue that the DJ they had was experienced and would do well. My daughter had given specific instructions on music for the ceremony and the wedding that she wanted played that were not followed. The DJ fumbled a lot through both the ceremony and the reception. Requested music by guests, we as the parents and even the bride herself was ignored or we had to repeatedly ask to be played. My daughter and son in law took it all in stride and were determined to enjoy every moment of their special day. We wanted to enjoy the day and not be fussing and complaining with all of our family and friends there celebrating with us. It was an amazing day but it is disappointing that when a customer brings up areas that did not meet expectations there is no recourse or care given.
I fell in love with the look of the loft, and it did look great on our wedding day, but if I had to do it over again, I would probably go somewhere else. Our day turned out to be beautiful, but the look of the loft and the endless stress were not worth the price and the hassle. Everything was overpriced and we were nickeled and dimed at every turn. They were somewhat accommodating of our requests, but we felt it was a bit ridiculous that we even had to make the requests in the first place. It was difficult to understand their pricing and they were evasive when asked direct questions. The DJs they provided were unresponsive and did not play the correct song during the ceremony. We paid for a microphone during the ceremony, but it stopped working just before we started, so we couldn't be heard very well during the ceremony. They also stopped songs while people were dancing at the reception. We had selected steak as a meal option, but our guests were not provided steak knives, making it very difficult to eat. Another wedding was happening at the same time in the other loft space and we could barely hear the toasts over the noise of their music. Overall, we felt more frustrated than anything in planning our wedding at Loft 310.
This team is nothing but amazing! You won’t regret planning your wedding at loft 310. The loft is beautiful and so is all of their other rooms. The team there is amazing!! Each person is amazing on their team!
Loft 310 was an absolute beautiful venue with a wonderful crew. We rented out the penthouse suites for our bridal parties, the sky deck for our ceremony, and room loft 310 for our reception, and it led to a fairy tale wedding! The suites are spacious and were perfect to get ready in and hang out with family. The ceremony ran so smoothly with the help of Shannon, and the reception was flawless! The dj was great and all of the guests raved about the food taste and quantity. Our guests also loved being able to go out to the bars after the wedding. Everything was all in one location which made it very easy for our guests! Shannon and Amanda made it extremely easy planning and day of the wedding with all of their support, guidance, spreadsheets, and timelines. They really helped make the evening magical and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! Not to mention, they always answered all of my emails and questions really quickly and lowered any anxieties I had. They were awesome! Highly recommend this venue!
Loft 310 was everything we dreamed of and more! The white walls and dark floors are the perfect setting to create the room of your dreams with very little decorations needed! The staff, food and vibe of this place are phenomenal! We received countless compliments on how incredible the venue was and how wonderful the service was! We would highly recommend this venue to anyone!!
We got married in May and we worked with Shannon and Amanda to plan our big day. They were professional, accommodating and always excited for us! We also used one of their DJ's, Clint Colborn of Baseline Productions DJ Service, and he was GREAT! The space has large windows overlooking Kalamazoo and is big and bright! It is so pretty that you do not need very much decoration, we did simple centerpieces and it looked great. The venue is a few blocks away from a very nice hotel, the Radisson, which is where we set up our room block. There is parking available close by as well. We also did a cocktail hour at the Gatsby, which is next door to the loft and apart of the package we chose. We did a buttered cocktail hour with three different hors d'oeuvres and an open bar. We had 184 guests attend our wedding and the cocktail hour was a little tight, but not uncomfortable. The food was fantastic, we chose a plated dinner service with three entrees (chicken, salmon, and steak). Everyone raved about the food, from the cocktail hour to the dessert. At the end of the night the bartenders hand out wrist bands to guests 21 and over that gets you in to several close bars for free and ahead of the line. We went to the Wild Bull and rode the bull! There is also a piano bar and a rooftop bar included. We were so happy with our decision to have our wedding at this venue and highly recommend Loft 310!
Loft 310 was SO easy to work with. Shannon and her staff made planning stress free and the day of our wedding was absolutely perfect. We also went with Fond-of-Florals for our wedding florals and that was probably one of the best decisions we could have made. Lori worked seamlessly with the Loft 310 staff and made our vision a reality while staying on budget.
I cannot say enough good things about our wedding with Loft 310! The whole team was easy to work with and truly cared about making our day special. We had our Wedding at The Gatsby; this space was perfect and gave a cozy & sophisticated feel to our wedding. Even during the event, the staff were professional and accommodating. They helped monitor/kick out wedding crashers and adjusted the temperature when guests were getting cold. When the bartender had to leave for a couple minutes to restock the bar, Shannon (the event planner) jumped behind the bar because our guests were lining up. The real surprise was the food! We did not do a tasting before our wedding (although they do offer it) so we were taking a shot in the dark and to our delight, our guests would not stop talking about how good all the food was! As someone who has worked several years in customer service I know what it means to go above and beyond and this team does just that! I would recommend Loft 310 for any private event you may be considering.
This plan is AMAZING!!!! This space is truly a one of a kind venue and is guaranteed to wow your guests. From start to finish, all the staff members went above and beyond to make sure the day was perfect. Our guests are still raving about the food (especially the grilled cheese shooters!), and talking about how glam/unique this venue is. I promise you the penthouse and ready rooms are well worth the extra money - they really made the day stress free being right onsite . If you are looking for a place to hold your wedding - this is a must see!!!
I was very disappointed with the Upper Loft. We were so excited about it at first, but after we signed the contract things went downhill fast. We were worried about noise from the other wedding reception in the building but were reassured it wouldn't interfere. During our toasts I could barely hear anything over the music pumping from below. Dinner service interrupted the best man as he stood go give his toast. We were 'sold' on their wonderful 'day of' coordination but there was barely any communication between the staff and us that night, and I could never find our 'coordinator' when I needed her. Cocktail hour at the Gatsby was a nightmare, we had 150 guests with only two bartenders, so no one could get served... even me, the bride! Multiple guests said the bartenders were really rude, I wouldn't know because I couldn't get waited on. The bar was littered with garbage and there was just one staffer clearing the napkins/glasses/plates with his bare hands. The sound system they charged us $1000 to plug in to was terrible. The staff ended up serving real champagne to all the kids (which they loved LOL)! We paid the extra money for the digital sign on the side of the building but were never told that it was featured as one of several signs scrolling throughout the night. We complained after the fact that we never once saw our sign and they refunded us our money because they said it was in fact not working. Had we not said complained they wouldn't have given us our money back. The food was great and the ambiance was beautiful, but unfortunately it was a very disappointing night.
We loved our day at the loft 310! Everything was taken care of and we got to really enjoy our special day!
The absolute best! We planned our wedding here based on a referral from a friend that turned out to be for a different venue. Oops! This blew that venue out of the water, what a happy accident! The entire staff (Amanda and Shannon especially) were incredibly attentive and saw that all the details were taken care of so our families and friends could have a blast and we could relax and enjoy our big day. They made it so easy to have a perfect wedding day.
Christian & Olivia’s Wedding…We held our daughter's wedding at Loft 310 in July 2017 and it was SPECTACULAR!! The venue was so unique, elegant, and absolutely everything our daughter and son-in-law envisioned for their Big Day! Everyone loved the space and the ability to flow from the beautiful ceremony in the Upper Loft to classy cocktails in the Gatsby and then to the enchanting reception in the Loft 310. Amanda and Shannon were amazing and made the entire day a joy. They made sure every detail was attended to and every guest was taken care of. They were professional, kind and caring. You can truly tell they love what they do! And hats off to the chef and wait staff! So many guests have continued to talk about how amazing the food was and the quality of the dinner service. Did I mention we also stayed in the luxurious Penthouses?! What a wonderful way to extend your wedding weekend experience and stay right at the venue! Just so amazing!! Thank you to all the Staff and Management at Loft 310 for helping to make Olivia and Christian's wedding day so perfect!!!
We had both our ceremony and reception in the Upper Loft. From the minute we walked into the Loft offices and spoke with Katie, to the actual day of with all hands on deck, we felt so taken care of. Shannon was stellar to work with and answered all of our questions as if we were the only wedding she was planning and the only couple on her mind. This is one of the most expensive venues in Kalamazoo, but we fell in love with the spaces and knew this was where we wanted to get married. All of our guests had a fantastic time and are still talking about how beautiful it was and how good the food was. We wish we could get married here again! :)
My husband and I held our ceremony on SkyDeck and our reception in Loft 310. When I first toured the location with Kati, I fell in love with the venue and booked it the next day. Kati, Shannon, Amanda, and Christina all were amazing through the whole planning process as far as responsiveness to any questions or concerns we had. Our wedding day was perfect. I didn't have to worry about a single thing thanks to Amanda and Shannon being there to make sure everything ran smoothly. We had so many complements from our guests on the venue as well as the food. We chose to do a cocktail-style reception with hors d'oeuvres and it was really unique and fun. We also booked one of the penthouses for my bridal party which I would highly recommend doing if you have the chance! Overall, it was a great day that was well prepared for and that we and our guests really enjoyed.
I am a wedding Coordinator in the Detroit area. I blew up Shannon / Amanda / Katie with questions, comments etc. I would HIGHLY recommend this team, this place, this experience. They were so easy to communicate with, they make a damn google sheet for you! Like- I just filled in the blanks and was all set. It does not get easier!
I would not change a thing about my experience with the Loft 310 team. They helped me with every aspect of our big day! If you are a bride looking for ease- tables, chairs, great food and an incredible maintained space- SCHEDULE A TOUR I promise you will not regret it.
I wish I could give them more stars. I love this place and my wedding was perfect.
The Loft staff was incredibly thoughtful, responsive, and respectful. The ease of having all the linens, tables, cutlery, chairs, food, beverage service, and planning assistance in one place was wonderfully efficient. Any time I had questions, even if they were small and silly, I received a friendly, quick, and thorough response. The day of the wedding we had no worries because the staff was present and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this venue to everyone and anyone!
We loved our wedding reception in the Upper Loft! What grabbed me initially about the Loft spaces when looking at wedding venues was the exposed brick, the open layouts and the simple elegance of both spaces. They were pretty much blank slates - perfect for using as little or as much decoration as we wanted.
We chose to have our cocktail hour on the SkyDeck, and our reception in the Upper Loft. We hired our florist to design hanging installations with greenery, and it was absolutely breath-taking. We also put greenery on the walls, and utilized their crystal chandeliers.
I decided early on that I wanted to rent out the Penthouse Suite for the night before the wedding, and also the wedding night. My bridesmaids and I had such a fun night together in the suite before the wedding, and then woke up to a beautiful room full of windows and light where we had our hair and make-up done the next morning (our hair stylists from Cheeky Strut got us ready in the Penthouse)! We had a full kitchen to make breakfast in and had the ultimate getting-ready experience! It was also really convenient to stay in the Penthouse with my husband for our wedding night - after hanging out with our guests on the Skydeck after the wedding, we just walked downstairs and retired for the evening!
Shannon P was so present throughout the entire wedding planning process and answered countless questions and emails from me, many times within a matter of an hour or so! Katie was also such a great resource before signing with the Loft, and was equally as responsive to all of my questions.
I'm very glad that we chose the Loft 310 to host our wedding reception, our guests were blown away and had the most amazing time! I definitely recommend this venue to brides who want to have their wedding in a central location with plenty of things for their guests to do, there was never a dull moment. Thank you to Loft 310 for helping us create our perfect wedding day. :)
This venue was everything we wanted and more! Shannon and amanda executed every detail perfectly and kept me sane thru it all.
If we could give the Loft 15 stars, we would. The whole team is on top of their game and made us feel truly at home and cared for. From our first tour of the venue to our wedding date, Kati, Shannon, Christina, and Amanda all worked their butts off to make sure we were happy. We felt like the really cared about us and our special day. We're so happy that we chose them for our wedding.
Our wedding was nerdy and they worked to make sure the entire experience was personalized. Additionally, we had several guests with severe food allergies, and they worked with us make sure that everyone could have a delicious meal that fit their food needs. It was just perfect!
We actually had our reception at Monaco Bay and Amanda and Christina and the Entertainment District made our special day the best we could ask for. They worked with us at every step of the planning process, kept us on track the day of, and were very accommodating to all of our wants and needs. Everything about our experience was stress-free and truly allowed us to enjoy our night. We received compliments from all of our guests about the decor and setup of Monaco Bay, and everyone loved the food! Plus, who doesn't like dueling pianos?
This place was incredible, cannot say enough good things about the venue or the staff! We had 2 hours up on the skydeck, in which we had a short ceremony and also open bar/appetizers with butler service. It was a beautiful sunny day, and you have the option of a tent so your guests can have some shade. We were able to have a singer up there, and the view cannot be beat, it was wonderful to see the guests oohing & aahing over the view! Shannon, Amanda & Christina were just top notch all the way. We lacked for nothing, and were able to have all the quirkiness we wanted in our wedding. We next moved one floor down to the Upper Loft, which is a gorgeous space with a similar feel to the skydeck, with huge windows along 3 of the walls. The food was very, very good, had several guests tell us it was the best they'd had at a wedding. I'm a vegetarian, and the veggie option was great, not just an afterthought like at many places. It was really great to have a venue that took care of all of the food & drink - one stop shopping! They had a great bar package for us, including some craft beers & top shelf liquors. If you live near or in Kalamazoo & are getting married, you absolutely owe it to yourself to see this incredible space!
We Just got married recently on April 15, 2017 and it was seriously the best day ever. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous! We utilized the Upper Loft for our ceremony and reception and the Gatsby room for cocktail hour. The whole staff at Loft 310 made our day effortless, memorable and amazing in every way. Coordinators Shannon and Amanda were so accommodating and made rehearsal night and our wedding day run so smooth. We just floated around while they made sure people and things were where they needed to be and when. It made for a stress free day on everyone involved and allowed for us to enjoy every moment possible. They also took it upon themselves to contact all our vendors and direct them on all instructions for the day of. We really had to worry about nothing. Time leading up to the wedding, they were very responsive and informative to all emails, calls, questions ect. I 100% recommend using their DJ’s. We were assigned to DJ Dave and he rocked it. He made it a party and had everyone up dancing all night long. We also loved that wrists band were handed out at the end of the reception for the Wild Bull Bar and Piano Bar below the venue. We all has so much fun going to the Wild Bull Bar watching everyone take a turn riding the bull. (Bride and Groom are free and we took full advantage!) We have heard nothing but praise on the food, DJ, venue, and overall experience our guests had at our wedding. I would strongly recommend the Loft 310! Worth every penny spent.
I was not happy with the way Loft 310 handled the food for the evening wedding. The guests did not get time to enjoy the variety of hors d'oeuvres that were paid for. They charge extra to bring in your own DJ and their DJ had a hard time following the instructions given to him. If you use Loft 310, be sure to print a hard copy of the contract. They use a webpage as a contract and when your event is over, the contents of your contract disappear. Also ensure that everything is written down and not spoken over the phone. I did not have a good experience with this venue or the staff and they have not righted their mistakes.
My husband and I struggled to find a venue that felt right for our day. We wanted something open, contemporary, and with a big dance floor for us and our guests to enjoy. When we came and viewed the Upper Loft, we knew right away this is where we were going to get married. The icing on the cake? Loft 310 is virtually a one stop shop-our DJ, food, bar items, rented furniture, where we got ready, and where we stayed (we rented the Penthouse for the weekend) were all through them. Not only did that lessen our stress, but it was nice to have one contact to reach out to when we needed questions answered. On that note, Shannon was our coordinator and she was amazing. She answered every little question we had for her and was always upbeat and positive while doing it. Our wedding day went off without a hitch. Amanda, Shannon, Morgan, and Katrina were incredible. They were so organized and communicated with us throughout the day to ensure everything was as it should be. In all honestly, I felt how invested they were in our day and they their effort showed. We were able to focus on enjoying ourselves and not what was going on behind the scenes. All of our guests kept coming up to us throughout the night asking, "how did you find this place, it's amazing!" And amazing it was. Getting married at Loft 310 was the best wedding decision we made and we can't thank the staff enough for everything they did!
Loft 310 did a wonderful job listening to our requests and helped us create an absolutely gorgeous wedding. Their staff is exceptionally friendly and extremely kind. We highly recommend their services. If you are looking for an AMAZING Wedding Day, look no further than LOFT 310.
Where do I even begin? It's honestly hard for me to put into words how incredible our wedding day was, and Loft 310 was a HUGE reason it was so perfect....
Shannon and Amanda truly are a "dream team" when it comes who you want running your event. They both paid such close attention to detail and made sure everything ran to perfection. If there were any "fires" the day of my wedding, I had no idea. I know that if there were any issues at all that they handled them with the highest level of professionalism. Oh, and their staff is top notch as well! We had multiple family and friends comment about how great the staff was and how they had never seen a wedding run so smoothly. We couldn't have asked for more in terms of how well our guests and us were taken care of!
I have personally never heard anyone rave about food at a wedding. There's always a couple of things that were decent, but nothing is ever phenomenal. Well, I can't say that about the food at our wedding. Just about every single person we talked to at our wedding commented about how amazing the food was. Everything from the hor d'oeuvres, salads, main dishes and desserts were incredible! Chef Tony and his staff truly nailed it!
All in all our wedding was more than we could have ever dreamed of. We can't thank the whole Loft 310 staff enough for making our day so incredible and one that we will never forget!!
My fiance and I toured the venue back in September and we wanted it! We even spent the next day, a whole 14 hours of our lives, picking and planning our vision for our wedding there with the information they sent us home with. We sent back a very organized email with our desires as they asked us to in order to give us a proposal for our date and we never heard anything back! We were ready to book them, deposit and everything, but they stood us up. It's quite a shame because it's everything we dreamed of and when we were about to drop $20,000 (alone) on this place we expected better customer service.
Positives: the location is good, the venue is a blank canvas, and overall, the food was good, but we did have some issues with the venue not serving the correct salad dressings or kids meals (not necessarily huge issues, but still issues). Negatives: Our biggest issue was with the in-house DJ. To put it bluntly, she was horrendous. Here are a few of the issues: she didn’t know what an anniversary dance was (despite it being listed on the spreadsheet that the venue requested that we complete), she played very few of the songs that were on our play list yet played songs that weren’t even close to the genre of music that we requested, she played standard end-of-the night songs as some of the first open dancing songs, she played the wrong version of the father-daughter dance song, and she didn’t play any music during dinner. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but it was horrible and our guests (and even our videographer) commented on it all night. Another major issue was with dinner service, including dessert. There were large gaps between courses. They were also very slow to clear dinner plates, yet, were Johnny-on-the-spot with clearing the cake from the head table, even after being told multiple times not to touch the cake, so much so, that the groom didn’t get to eat a bite of his cake. They completely botched service of the cake despite the staff being well aware that this was the most important part of the meal for the bride. While we were upset to hear that several tables of 8 or 10 people received only 4 pieces of cake, we were furious to hear that at least 2 complete tables did not receive any cake and were told by the servers that the cake ran out. This is particularly upsetting because we specifically ordered a cake that served 30 more people than were there and because the venue sent us home with a large portion of two tiers of our cake. Another big issue we had is that the staff did not follow through on things that they said they would, including items outlined in the spreadsheet they request you to fill out. As one of the other reviews said, the staff tends to be a bit misleading and we felt like they were trying to pull a bait and switch on us a few times. Every time we mentioned an idea that we wanted to do, the staff enthusiastically said they could do it without a problem. When it came down to it though, things either weren’t done or they tried to add an additional charge for something that we were told from the beginning was included. We had several other issues of varying degrees of importance, but you’ve gotten the point by now that we weren’t happy with the service we received, which is frustrating because we paid a good chuck of change for our reception. The most upsetting part is that when we responded to the venue’s request that we complete a review, we got a response that, while admitted some mistakes, essentially called us liars on a number of issues. After some email exchanges, the manager took the time to listen to us vent, admitted that the staff made numerous mistakes, and apologized for the mistakes. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, “sorry” just does not cut it in this situation. It’s unfortunate that we had such a bad experience with the venue because it really does have the makings to be great place to hold an event except for the attention to detail that is needed when people are shelling out that kind of money and entrusting you with the biggest day of their lives.
Having our reception at The Loft 310 and The Gatsby was one of the best decisions of the day! We were planning a wedding across the country, and the staff made everything so easy for us. They truly take care of everything- food, rentals, set-up, tear down, etc. The day of our wedding was very stress-free much in part to Loft 310. Thank you for everything!
Working with the girls at Loft 310 made our wedding experience outstanding. From our initial tour with Kati, to planning every detail with Shannon, to the day of with Amanda... everything was seamless. Their positive energy and confidence in what they do is contagious and took away all my worries about our wedding day. We had cocktail hour in The Gatsby and reception in Loft 310. Both spaces were absolutely stunning. Many of our guests have commented on the event spaces and how outstanding the food was. Can't say enough about our experence!
I have been thinking how to put into words how amazing this team is at hosting your wedding! I am still having a hard time but Kim, Shannon, and Amanda are absolutely amazing! They really care about you! Also the venue is amazing because it has so much options and you do not have to bring in any vendors for food, dessert, tables, chairs, etc. they have all that there for you which not all venues offer! The variety of spaces and stuff to make your day perfect is what brought me to them, and after I met the people that work here I was sold! They also are very reasonably priced compared to others! I rented out the Penthouse (which is tastefully decorated and convenient for the day of your wedding), SkyDeck for the ceremony, The Gatsby for cocktails and appetizers, and Loft 310 for my reception! I could not be any more happy about how my wedding turned out and it would not have been possible without Shannon! Love you all there! Thanks for the perfect day!
Our wedding was at loft 310 on July 1,2016. It was amazing!!!! we wanted our wedding to be a cocktails and heavy appetizers/desserts and one big party celebration...and that's exactly what we got!! Shannon Potts and her staff were amazing to work with! I planned our wedding from out of state, they made it super easy to contact them and responded to emails very quickly!!! their venue was beautiful and decorates itself ...we used minimal decor with just centerpieces and decorating our welcome table. Everyone had the BEST time and all we heard from guests was how great of a time they had, awesome food or this was the best wedding they've ever been too! Great to hear after a year of planning!! Convenient for any guests traveling from out of state as the radisson is walking distance. Our wedding pictures turned out AMAZING as the themed clubs, rooftop overlooking downtown kzoo and the suites make any photographer drool with so many photo ops!!!! You'll feel like a model for a bride/groom magazine. Definitely book your wedding here...you will not regret it!!!!
I would highly recommend Loft 310 for any special event. The staff is absolutely amazing! They do a fantastic job at making sure you are stress free on your wedding day (and that's something I really wanted in a venue). Shannon and Amanda are INCREDIBLE! They are both very professional and responded to all my questions promptly (and I had a lot). Shannon and Amanda took my wedding and acted like it was their own, which I really appreciated. They didn't want anything to go wrong just as much as I didn't and made sure everything was perfect. I keep looking back on my wedding day and questioning how it was so perfect with no flaws but it's all comes down to the staff at Loft 310! Without them I wouldn't of had my dream wedding! I am very blessed for their team.
Also this venue is stunning! Absolutely stunning.
My experience working with everyone at the Entertainment District in Kalamazoo was nothing short of phenomenal. We had our ceremony on SkyDeck, our reception in the Upper Loft, and we rented the Bridal Suite as a ready room. The staff is very professional, extremely outgoing & friendly, very responsive to all communication, and their organizational skills are remarkable. From the time my husband, Justin, and I went on our first tour of the facility we fell in love with the urban chic setting. It was exactly what we were looking for. Kimberly was our initial point of contact and she was such a kind and patient individual and sat with us going over multiple details until we felt we had all our questions answered. Even after the tour I emailed her multiple times for clarification and she responded immediately despite it being a weekend. Upon signing our contract with the Entertainment District we began working with Shannon, whom was an absolute gem. Shannon and her counterpart, Amanda, worked together throughout the wedding preparation and were both present during our tasting and final meeting to ensure everyone was on the same page and able to step in if the unexpected were to arise, giving us peace of mind. Justin and I live on the east side of Michigan and chose to have our wedding in Kalamazoo since this is where I’m original from. This was the perfect venue for an out of town couple with limited time to make the trip back and forth. The venue provided all the tables and linens, the catering, the DJ, and they coordinated with all outside vendors to ensure minimal stress on our part. They also provide a Google Document with all the information one needs including the tasting schedule, the meal and beverage package selected, payment details, the ceremony details and timeline, reception details & timeline, contact information, parking information, DJ form, and the master guest list with formulas created to know exactly how many meal types were at each table. It was so simple and became my lifeline to ensure all details were covered. The facility itself is impeccable, very trendy, and the staff runs like clockwork. If there were any glitches during our wedding day, I was not made aware of them and from my perspective everything ran so smoothly with no stress. I can honestly say the Entertainment District put on the most perfect wedding for us and made sure it was “The Best Day Ever.”
My wife and I had both our ceremony and reception in the Entertainment District of Downtown Kalamazoo. The ceremony was on SkyDeck and the reception was in the Upper Loft. We also rented out the Penthouse for my bridal party and I to stay at the night before/get ready the day of and as the place my wife and I would stay the night of our wedding. The spaces themselves are absolutely stunning and required little decorating on my part, which was a serious plus. But, it was the private events team that really made our wedding the wonderful event that it was. Kimberly did a wonderful job explaining the financial breakdown and made us feel comfortable with our investment.
Shannon and Amanda are literally the best and were irreplaceable members of our wedding team! I don't think we could have pulled this off without them and had so much fun working with them through the whole process. Everyone was quick to respond to questions and help with last minute details for things that I didn't even think about until I thought it was too late. I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of and everything went off without a hitch largely due to how talented and professional Shannon and Amanda are.
If you are looking for a space that needs little decoration, AMAZING food, and absolutely wonderful and supportive staff then I cannot recommend Loft310 and the Entertainment District enough. Both my wife and I wish that we could do it all again because it was so great the first time! (Plus, if you are looking for an LGBTQA+ friendly location and team you will be so happy with them!)
I could not more highly recommend the Loft310 team! Our journey began with an incredible tour and detailed meeting with Kimberly that suited our personal needs, tastes, and vision. We then had plenty of follow-up contact throughout the planning process and met Amanda and Shannon, who led us through the food tasting, detailed planning, and ongoing communication (along with goodie bags, gift certificates, and plenty of hugs). The whole team is SO warm, so professional, and truly truly top-notch. I was in the midst of an intensive graduate program, and the Loft310 Team took much of my planning chaos and set me at ease. This is not their first rode0! My husband and I could not be more impressed with the quality and efficacy of their work. We were not terrific at wedding planning on our own, and the Loft310 Team was just what we needed! I truly can say our wedding day was one of the most relaxed, joyful, and amazingly peaceful days of my life, and I attribute much of that to the Loft310 Team! DJ Disco Dave, Tony the Chef, the waiters, bartenders, and all other behind the scenes workers were unbelievable also! We definitely recommend using in-house services (ie. Fond of Florals, Bash Bakery, etc.) if you are able - that added to our sense of ease, peace, and joy! We loved our experience with Loft310. Could not have asked for a more special journey, and a more special day.
Great staff, great venue, great food! These were all of the feedback that we got from our guests. The "hard to please" crowd also said nothing but praises! Having the bars close so the after party could continue was an added bonus!
My husband and I had our reception at Wild Bull Saloon. We had a fantastic time! From start to finish, the staff was extremely helpful and made the decisions easy. All of our guests had such a wonderful evening. If you are considering which location to have your reception, I strongly recommend Wild Bull Saloon. It is a fun atmosphere and can be transformed into a beautiful venue (make sure the have the bull running, too!). The food was outstanding as well. Our guests are still raving about it!
This venue was perfect!!! Kimberly, Shannon, and Amanda were all amazing helping us out and accommodating. I highly recommend this place and the staff to anyone. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were also prompt on getting empty dishes off the table as well as serving the food on time. They accommodate the physically handicapped as well, which was extremely important to us.DJ Dave was also amazing. He played all of the music we had requested and kept our guests dancing all night. Our wedding was on the 9th of October, 2015 and our guests are still raving about how much fun they had, along with the food and service. If you want a perfect reception, this is the place. Well worth every penny!!!!!
Shannon and the rest of the team were more than helpful with everything we needed! Shannon responded to emails at all times of the day and always answered my questions immediately! The venue is beautiful and I loved how simple it was so that I could decorate and customize the venue to my personal tastes. Everyone complimented the Upper Loft and how beautiful everything was! We used the in house DJ (Bob Vick) and he was awesome! Our schedule went a little out of order at the reception and we cut the cake earlier than we were ready and the employees that boxed up the top portion of our cake ended up smashing it so we did not get to keep it. Other than that, we did not have any complaints! So many of our guests complimented us and told us that it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to! The venue is in a great location and a lot of our guests continued the party and went to Sky Deck or Monaco Bay after the reception ended.
Everything about this event space was perfect for our wedding. Through the contract signing process, Kimberly was helpful and accommodating, never pushy. Shannon was wonderful to work with; she was laid back, had helpful recommendations but did not push unsolicited advice, super responsive with all communication, worked around our schedule and being long-distance. Our wedding day was easy and stress-free, thanks to their staff. Shannon had everything coordinated, the staff was great, all our belongings were packed up into a few boxes for us by the end of the night. Plus the space is beautiful. I would highly recommend Loft 310 for a wedding, especially if you're planning from a long distance; they really take care of a lot of the planning process and day-of logistics.
Overall, the Sky Deck is awesome and the Loft 310 is a great space.
I am not one of those brides that is a planner and Shannon Potts (event coordinator) and her team made planning our wedding a breeze! From the day that we signed our contract to the moment the lights turned on at the end of the night, everything was perfect! I cannot stress how AWESOME Shannon and all the staff of LOFT 310 are to work with! Shannon was so responsive to emails (it was kind of crazy how quick she responded :), she helped us with finding other vendors, helped us order in furniture, provided an awesome food tasting with the Chef Boswell, and even helped us accommodate more guests 2 days before our wedding! I highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get married in Kalamazoo, Michigan!!!!!
I was recently married on January 10, 2015. We opted for a small, yet formal affair. The Gatsby was the first and only place we considered! The staff accommodated our 50 guests for an evening service on the dance floor with a beautiful backdrop of dramatic windows. The intimate candlelight service was immediately followed by a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception. The food was impeccable and high class (as we knew it would be following the private tasting appointment). The Gatsby was beautiful with minimal decorations and photo options at every turn. Our guests had a fantastic time dancing the night away and then being invited to enjoy the other venues, complimentary, once our event concluded. We are so happy with the outcome of the evening. Shannon was a highly attentive, responsive, and calming wedding planner every step of the way despite my frantic emails throughout the months prior. I am so pleased with our decision to marry at the Gatsby. Every guest has remarked about how unique the venue was and what fun they were able to have.
My wife and I had an amazing experience with The Loft 310 Special Events Team. Shannon and Kimberly were there with us every step of the way. From the first meeting to the evening of our wedding reception everything was perfect! If you want to best for your special day, you must work with the best and we defiantly found it! My highest recommendations go to this wonderful team and beautiful facility!
My husband and I had our reception at Loft 310/ Gatsby. We had the Gatsby for the entire night, which cost more but was totally worth it! It was absolutely beautiful.
The staff was amazing. They were very responsive to my emails, and very organized, and were willing to go above and beyond to make everything perfect for us and to help us out. For example- The day after my wedding I realized that I had left my purse (with my ID, credit cards, etc.) at the Loft the night before, which was a huge problem because I was going out of the country on my honeymoon the next day. The Loft was closed, as it was a Sunday, so I started freaking out. Shannon got back to me almost immediately after I contacted her and had someone meet one of my bridesmaids to get my purse within an hour.
This venue is a little expensive, but that’s because it’s AMAZING. You totally get what you pay for. Everything was stunning. Many of my friends and family members said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Plus, other than bringing any small decorations you have for the tables or anything you want to add- they do everything for you. It’s nice to have the food, music, table set up, etc. all done by one vendor because they know what they are doing and you don’t have to coordinate anything. And if you do have outside vendors (we had a photobooth and of course a florist), Shannon contacts them and works with them to make sure everything goes as planned. She takes so much stress out of the wedding planning/coordinating.
I was worried about the DJ at first, because we just went with the one provided by the Loft (you can bring in your own if you want), and I didn’t know a lot about him. He was PERFECT. He got everyone up and moving but wasn’t too “in your face” or obnoxious. He was there to do whatever we wanted, even the random “snowball” dance game I decided I wanted to do mid- reception haha.
Oh, and one worry that I had was space. We had 229 people, and I was concerned about how we would fit everyone in there and still have space for a dance floor. I was sure we would have to take tables down after dinner to have space to dance but we didn’t. There was PLENTY of space, especially with having the Gatsby added on.
I can’t say enough about how happy I was with our experience with Loft 310. I want to do it all over again!
First of all this was not my first 'rodeo'. Both my fiancé and I have been married before and we have a blended family with our 3 pre and teen-agers. We decided to have a fall wedding (October 4th 2014) and it turned out literally picture perfect. We originally had picked the Sky Deck but were strongly encouraged to have a back up location. Since our engagement was over a year out we had time, but decided to pick early. When we first saw the Gatsby we immediately knew we liked it. Good thing as the day before we had come to the realization that it was just too cold that day to be up on the deck. Needless to say, it ended up being perfect! We had only about 70 people, mostly adults and it was for just hors d'ouerves and cocktails anyway. So the Speakeasy came to life with class and sophistication. We still have people raving about the food and how fun it was. I have to say the staff.. from our first meeting with Kimberly, to Kelly and most of all Shannon (Potts) our wedding coordinator -- they hit it out of the park! It was a little bit pricy, but as weddings go, I knew well ahead what the costs would be.. and it was definitely WORTH it. Completely satisfied doesn't even cut it. If you want something people will talk about for a long time, then have your event at one of the many venues in the Entertainment District. The Private Events staff listened, and we got everything we wanted.
We had both our ceremony and reception here in the Loft310 and Gatsby venues. Coordinating from Chicago, Shannon and her team were super helpful and accomodating, and a real pleasure to help make our wedding dream come true. Our guests loved our wedding, from the beautiful decor down to the amazing food we had. We can't thank you enough!
