Review for Lourdes de la Peña – Exceptional Wedding Cellist
Lourdes de la Peña was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding on March 15, 2025. From the moment we booked her on October 14, the entire process was seamless. She was incredibly easy to communicate with, always responsive, and open to any changes we needed along the way.
Not only is she a talented and knowledgeable musician, but she also made the planning process effortless. She knew all the music we wanted, worked flawlessly with our organist and church, and was completely adaptable to our needs. Her professionalism and encouragement made the entire experience stress-free.
On the wedding day, she was punctual, prepared, and performed beautifully. We received countless compliments on the music—it was truly one of the highlights of our ceremony. Honestly, organizing the music with Lourdes was probably the easiest part of the wedding!
If you’re looking for a musician who is talented, reliable, and wonderful to work with, I highly recommend Lourdes. She made our wedding ceremony even more special, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Lourdes and her violin partner were awesome!
We had our catholic ceremony back in October in Fairfax and Lourdes was very willing to collaborate with the music choir director in accommodating our very specific requests. Not only they played a bilingual mass with the choir, but she also recorded some of my preferred songs so I can watch them after the ceremony!
Thank you Lourdes!❤️

My now husband and I decided to throw together a civil ceremony at the DC War Memorial ahead of our bigger wedding in Italy next year. While I was okay with keeping things very simple, he was insistent on having a musician there to make it more special. So just a couple weeks before the day he went on a somewhat frantic search to find one. He stumbled upon Lourdes and was so impressed by her professionalism and willingness to work within our budget. She coordinate the songs with us and even made sure to consult with us on her attire ahead of time. All of guest loved her and talked about what a nice touch she added to the day. She made our wedding day so special and we are so thankful for her flexibility, professionalism, and all around talent.

Lourdes and Emera provided us with the most beautiful music for our wedding. The highlight of the ceremony was our recessional. They played a violin and cello rendition of Rick Atsley's "Never Gonna Give You Up".
They were very professional and willing to work with us. They sent me images of their outfits to ensure they wouldn't clash with the bridesmaids.
Overall, a joy to work with. Quality, professionalism, and flexibility = 10/10
