My husband and I got married at Lombardi’s on the Bay in October of 2016. Unfortunately things didn’t go as planned. I will start with the issue of having 4 different banquet managers. We booked with Robert who then left the company, and we wer...e given Elissa. Upon our initial meeting with her, she didn’t even introduce herself. I was explaining how I wanted things to be set up to my parents she told me that my ideas were terrible and that I should listen to her and do it how she thought it be best. We then sat down to go over my menu, and on her copy of my contract THINGS WERE CROSSED OUT. That means after we booked and signed a contract, someone crossed out certain selections. After getting that issue resolved and switching our banquet manager again, things started to look up. Our banquet manager was Sophia, and she and I communicated mostly via email. Unfortunately for us again, Sophia left the company and we were assigned Amanda. Although Amanda was great, at our last meeting to go over our menu things were missing from our contract again, and they had no access to Sophia’s email so they couldn’t confirm what she and I had gone over. Good thing I saved everything, because I had to provide them with proof of the promises she had made me. It was ridiculous. All the money we were spending and they fought me tooth and nail on things that their own staff had guaranteed. Now it was our wedding day, and we were supposed to be married outside but it rained. Due to another party, they were late setting up our ceremony and we started 40 minutes late (so I assumed my wedding would run 40 minutes past 12) but at 12am on the dot the lights were turned on and our wedding was over. I met our maître d once when I got out of the limo, and WE NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN until it was time to cut the cake. He was nowhere to be found. I don’t even remember his name. My husband had no idea who he was. We actually thought the manager was our maître d. Our cake was horrendously wrong. I asked for all round tears with gold beads and I received square and round tears with bright yellow beading. They didn’t put my cake topper on my cake. For cocktail hour they assured us there would be seating for all of our guests, and there wasn’t. People were eating standing up. Earlier in the week I dropped off some décor and picture frames with instructions on where I wanted things and when I walked into cocktail hour things were missing and it took them 30 minutes to find my stuff. It was horrible. As for “top shelf liquor”, what a joke. They had none of it out, and when my husband asked for it they took it out of a hidden cabinet. So I am assuming that if he hadn’t asked, no one would have seen it and known that it was being offered. It was embarrassing. We also paid to have 3 desert stations which we saw at one of their expo’s, and what we got was nothing like what they displayed at the expo even though they claimed it would be set up the same exact way. I was so disappointed. On a good note, the food was delicious and my guests raved about that. My bridal attendant Larissa was fabulous. I am grateful she was there for us. The room was beautiful and turned out how I wanted (despite Elissa’s negative comments). It took me a while to actually sit down and write this review, but I knew it needed to be done. I planned to go back for our anniversary and Valentine’s Day as we usually would, but unfortunately Lombardi’s on the bay has lost my business for a lifetime.
