Our wedding was 4/29/22 and almost all of the staff at Longfellows made our wedding run seamlessly. The waitstaff and kitchen staff were beyond phenomenal. They were pleasant and h...
elpful and just generally awesome. Scott the event manager will make sure that your wedding goes off without a single hitch. He is by far the absolute BEST. I promise you, you will not have any regrets by choosing Longfellows. Our guests absolutely raved about the location and all of the food.
We had an amazing wedding at Longfellows! We were very much cared for, the staff were amazing, and all our requests/visions for the wedding were accommodated. The venue itself is e...
xtremely beautiful as well.
Longfellows is an outstanding wedding venue. My now husband and I picked Longfellows based on the quality of food, and the ability to have a small reception upstairs in their Loft ...
space. We have had so many delicious meals there, and love the ambiance, we really wanted to have it there. I will say this: if we were going for a larger affair, sadly we would not have gone with Longfellows; we both feel like their space with the house-type outdoor/indoor, koi pond, bridge area downstairs is so incredibly outdated...it's unfortunate because their food and service is incredible. SO - all of that to say - the planning that Lauren did for us, and the insane flexibility she offered given the instability of everything going on with a pandemic(!!) - was off the charts!! SO GREAT!! To begin, our ceremony was scheduled to be outside, but even so, we found ourselves cancelling in April because of COVID-19. Lauren said she'd stay in touch, and offered catering if we were going to have everything at home. With the ever-changing tides, we were ultimately able to have the ceremony and very small reception JUST like we'd planned, only with half the people. So much back and forth, but because of their flexibility and excellent communication, it ended up being absolutely PERFECT! The food quality for the price is out of this world - their food is exceptional and cooked to perfection (I have a family of foodies, and so many people were complimenting how great the food was). They will work with any allergies any guest might have, and cater directly to their need - excellent!! Lauren's ability to take your ideas and make them a reality is astounding. She has a great eye, and will work with your vision. She's so great! And the staff /servers were amazing!! Everyone always wore their mask, and they were all so positive and happy! The way everyone was socially distanced was really great. We had guests that were very concerned, who ultimately felt very safe because of the environment Longfellows created for our wedding ceremony and reception. I cannot recommend them enough... When I look back on our day just three weeks ago, I still cannot believe it was so beautiful, the food and service was so great, and everyone was so positive, encouraging, optimistic, and happy. SO, SO WONDERFUL. (And - we got our wedding night in the hotel comped - how great is that?!) We'd give ten stars if we could - they were really amazing!
Longfellows is AMAZING! Our 6/6/2020 wedding date was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and we had to move our wedding several weeks sooner. Longfellows was extremely accommoda...
ting and catered our small backyard wedding with the same menu that we would have had on our original wedding date. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff, especially Lauren, were so helpful and supportive of us. We had a beautiful day and we could not have done it without Longfellows!
We LOVED Longfellows!! The venue itself is stunning, and hardly needs more decorations. There is a waterfall inside, a tree around the dance floor, and you can be introduced as a c...
ouple for the first time on their balcony. The food is absolutely delicious, and they give you so many options! The staff was helpful and wanted to make sure we were getting the wedding that we envisioned. It was a perfect day!
Longfellows was the absolute BEST!!! Lauren is an absolute sweetheart as well as a highly-skilled professional who made all of our wedding dreams come true. Patricia was also a won...
derful member of the waitstaff who was so thoughtful on the day of our wedding and really showcased the A+++ service of this venue. The food, atmosphere, and service was beyond all of my expectations, and everything was also so reasonably priced. I received so many compliments on our wedding, and would recommend them to any future bride or event in general!
While Longfellows is beautiful and extremely reasonably priced, the biggest reason I am SO GLAD I had my reception here is because of Brenda Moreno. Besides being a beyond wonderf...
ul human, working with Brenda was a dream. She coordinated everything for me; menu (including working with the chef), linens, tables, chairs, venue decorations, bar, bartender, etc. At some venues you have to rent tables, chairs, linens, etc. and you then have to work with an outside caterer/servers and an outside bartender (plus get the licenses for alcohol). At Longfellows, the chef, servers, and bartender are all in house and Brenda managed everything so I didn't even have to talk to anyone or worry about any of that. Also, Longfellows provides tables, chairs, and linens so you don't have the added cost of renting. Brenda set all of these up for me AND set up all of my personal decorations and centerpieces. I didn't have to worry about anything on my wedding day besides getting ready and after my reception was over all of my personal decorations and gifts were boxed up and delivered to my room, along with leftover food for my husband and I to eat! There is so much work that goes into a wedding but I tell everyone to book with Brenda because she made it SO easy! Brenda really went out of her way to make our reception perfect and I can't say enough good things about her! I have done a lot of large scale event planning in my career and I can definitely say that there is so much more that goes into it than you realize, especially for a wedding. I didn't even have to think about pretty much anything for the reception besides filling out the menu we wanted (our guests raved about our food), picking our linens, and giving Brenda my centerpieces ahead of time. Weddings are A LOT of coordination and not having to think about the reception besides making key decisions made my life so much easier. Book your wedding with Brenda if you want to thank yourself after!!!! She is the greatest :)

l of our request and even thought of things we did not know we needed or wanted. JD is an amazing chef and from the horderves to the main dish everything was delicious and out of this world. Such a beautiful experience in a beautiful place with amazing staff!!!
Longfellows was hands down the best experience I could ever have dreamed of having. There were many times that my family, now-husband, and I said things like "We feel like we're li...
ving in a movie!" Longfellows handled everything, but still allowed us to add all the personal touches we wanted to truly make it our special day. Brenda, our wedding coordinator through the entire process, was AMAZING. She answered emails and phone calls promptly, gave tons of information and advice while still allowing us to make our own decisions, and was happy to work with us to make it fit our vision and our budget. At the last minute, our rehearsal dinner venue fell through and with less than a week to go, Brenda worked with the rest of the team to make sure that we had a phenomenal rehearsal dinner at Longfellows (we should have just selected them from the beginning). Finally, some of our closest friends and my mother in law have severe food allergies, and Longfellows accommodated with beautiful, delicious meals with no aggravation or hesitation. Every single person I encountered, from the folks setting up the room to the managers to the servers to the desk staff were friendly, kind, and so incredibly helpful. I truly cannot recommend Longfellows highly enough; I cannot imagine a better place for such a special day.
Longfellows made our wedding perfect! I'd recommened Longfellows to anyone. Lauren Salvato was the most helpful person ever for our wedding! Everyone loved the food, to this day we...

l really special and amazing for my wedding weekend. Everything went according to plan, all the setup was done beautifully, and the food was amazing. We barely had to lift a finger or stress out over anything, we just had to go, get married, and enjoy our time with family and friends.

bekah we just knew this place was in the wedding business. They had a clear understanding of what couples are looking for and boy do they deliver! You honestly won't have a worry in the world when you book with Longfellows. Our room was set up perfect, all my small decor was set up beautifully, the service was wonderful, and the food was outstanding. We got so many wonderful compliments from our guests on how unexpectedly beautiful the courtyard was & how great the food was. We had 140 guests and many people who came in from out of town. Longfellows was our little "hub" for the whole weekend! Having accommodations on premises for guests is just so key! We had an informal "welcome party" on Friday night at the Tavern bar. Then on Saturday after our reception we went back to the Tavern bar for a little after-party. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves all weekend. I could really go on & on about our experience.... If you're looking for something different than the traditional ballroom & you want the convenience of a beautiful hotel, look no further. Just book this place!!!
Gerri was a godsend when it came to making sure me and my guests were happy and comfortable for our weekend. She helped me get 2 rooms adjoining so that me and the girls would have...

Everything was great from the beginning to the end.
My groom and I were lucky enough to book our Saturday evening wedding at Longfellows in September 2014. Being from out of town, I had no idea what to expect from a Longfellows wedd...
ing except everyone who heard that was the venue locally was very impressed. I personally fell in love with the venue after seeing the beautiful tree in the middle of the courtyard without ever tasting the food.
Now after the wedding is over, I can see why Longfellows is so special. Our wedding coordinator, Rebekah, was extremely friendly and professional during the whole process. When it came to the day of, one of her associates, Monica, was our coordinator, and she made sure everything was perfect before our arrival. The guests who came in from out of town still talk about how wonderful the food was and how much fun they had. Even our post-wedding brunch was very organized and handled very professionally (plus it was delicious!).
I would recommend Longfellows without a doubt for anyone looking for a great wedding caterer or venue in the capital city area.
I couldnt be happier with the service we got from Longfellows. We worked with Geri, who is by the far the best wedding coordinator I think I have ever met. We were considering our ...
wedding at Longfellows but went a different direction and choose National Museum of Dance, we then hired Longfellows to do the catering. They were supportive and helpful the whole way. They worked with our tastes, budget, cultural themes, they did everything we asked and it was simply amazing, the food was unreal! We had so many compliments. It wasnt just the food, but the service, from the beginning Geri just took care of everything, she organized the wedding exactly how I wanted it and I couldnt have been happier. They made our day so special and easy!!

Gerri to find out about having our reception we didn't feel any pressure to commit, but boy are we glad we did! Our guests raved about the food (taste and abundance), the uniqueness of the actual place, and we were very happy with the friendliness of the staff.
We worked with Gerri for the entire process and she was very quick to respond to emails and phone calls. She made everything very clear and the planning process went smoothly with her handling the details.
They have a large number of packages and add-on options to fit a wide variety of budgets and styles. They also cater off site, which is delicious from weddings I have been to where they cater, so give Longfellows a thought if you are looking to have your wedding elsewhere!
When we started planning our wedding, I knew I wanted it to be somewhere that had charm. We looked into a few places, and then I thought of Longfellows and every place else was no...
longer an option. We worked with Gerri and Brenda, who were absolutely amazing. Gerri always told us that no matter what we needed, they would do it. Any questions that I had were promptly answered. The level of organization that Longfellows runs at is impressive. When we had our final meeting before the wedding, we brought in many boxes of decorations and other items for the ceremony and reception. After so many months of planning and putting everything together, it felt a little strange to hand everything over, but Brenda made us feel at ease.
When the wedding day came, she had every single detail exactly how we had envisioned it. From the time that guests were arriving for the ceremony, to when last guest left, everything ran smoothly. Brenda had everyone where they needed to be, when they needed to be there, and we were never rushed. The food was fantastic. I only wish we could’ve extended cocktail hour to eat more of the delicious appetizers! To top it off, when we made it back to our hotel room, we were greeted by a congratulations card, along with chocolates and chilled champagne. Thank you so much Gerri, Brenda, and the entire Longfellows staff, for everything you did to make our wedding perfect!

ding was a must. I was able to meet with the chef to create a menu that was delicious and safe for me to eat (at no extra cost). I am still so impressed with their willingness to accommodate all of my requests. The day of the wedding went very smooth. Our coordinator communicated with us from start to finish so we didn't have to worry about timelines, etc. They were also able to take my decor vision to the next level and create an environment that blew us away. Our guests are still raving about the classy and beautiful event and venue.
This venue is great for some many reasons. To start, the unique interior design is so much more inviting than a standard ballroom or reception hall. The tree and indoor pond offer ...
beautiful ambiance, and they provide many basic decorations so you don't have to add much. The food was absolutely delicious. We opted for their buffet menu, which our guests loved. They felt full and were grateful they could return for seconds. They even worked with us to offer a mashed potato bar and a make-your-own-sundae bar for dessert. The team was available to answer my hundreds of questions from the day we paid our deposit to the night before the event. There was a coordinator on-site for the whole evening, and they really helped to make the evening go as smoothly as possible!

ressful. We had a lovely tasting from our chosen menu so there were no surprises the day of. Gerri and the staff were very good about setting up all of my decorations / centerpieces just the way I wanted them. I did not have to worry about a thing! The service was great at the wedding and everything ran smoothly. Our waitress was even kind enough to wipe chocolate cake off my neck after my brother thought it would be funny to smear it all over me! I would recommend Longfellows to any bride! Oh and the venue itself is beautiful and very unique, definitely not your everyday banquet hall. A+++++++
The event area, food and staff were wonderful. Our biggest problem was our consultant was changed 2 days before the wedding and the issue we ending up having stemmed from the new c...
onsultant not knowing all the things where decided upon with the original consultant. We also ran out of cake, and the food and coffee where constantly out and needed to refilled and we had to tell them get new ones. We also didn't get itemized receipts of our bills. Other than that we enjoyed it.

th the walls decorated like the outside of houses and a pond and tree inside! We quickly came to love everything else about Longfellows too! We worked with Rebekah, who was always professional, helpful, and prompt in response to any questions we had. She made everything so easy on the wedding day, made sure everything was perfect, and went off without a hitch! The wait staff, especially Robb who made sure we were taken care of that day, were wonderful. We had dinner stations for our wedding. The food was great, and our guests were happy with the selection and amount of food available to them. We also had a lot of out of town guests who were very happy with the hotel rooms and staff. I would highly recommend Longfellows for a wedding (or any event)! I don't think our day would have been as perfect anywhere else!

y about food and so is my family. They knew I was concerned about it so they let us taste our dishes for free during a meeting for our rehearsal dinner. The night of the rehearsal we were an hour and a half late and Longfellow's was VERY accommodating to us. It was not a problem and the staff was ready for us when we finally arrived. The space was really nice and unique and the appetizers were very tasty. However, the dinner was not so great. We had a pork chop, chicken dish and salmon on the menu. The pork chops were very dry and overcooked. The salmon was also very very dry and barely had any of the bourbon glaze that was supposed to come with it. I requested in advance that the food not be overcooked and that there be plenty of glaze. When we tried the food at the tasting and at dinners at Longfellow's it was wonderful. Not sure what happened at the rehearsal. Maybe they are not great with making food for large groups or maybe it was because the food was made in advance seeing that our party was so late? I'm not sure. The food for the brunch was very basic, just eggs, toast, home fries...your basic breakfast food, not hard to mess up. That was all very good. So overall it was so so. I would not have had my rehearsal here if I had known and I'm thankful I didn't have my wedding here. The Saratoga National (my wedding venue) next door is more expensive but I would recommend going there for any event as their food is remarkable. ~Natasha (Bride)

done. They followed our decoration directions exactly and would confront us on things here and there if need be as well. We didn't have to do anything, which made for a stress free day. I can't stress how important that was to us and how wonderful it made the experience. On top of great service constantly there, the food was wonderful! All of our guests couldn't stop raving about how wonderful everything was!!!

end for weddings. The staff at Longfellow's was organized, helpful and supportive- in two meetings and a few emails, they managed to put my ideas together into a cohesive and well-executed reception. The Longfellow's package includes everyting- food, cake, linens, set-up and take-down, and a wonderful day-of event coordinator. The food was DELICIOUS, the day-of staff was so friendly and hard-working, and the entire went off seamlessly. We had about 130 people and spent just around $10,000 for EVERYTHING for the reception. When you have your reception at Longfellow's, they also provide the newlywed couple with a complimentary room at the Inn on their wedding night. My husband and I were so pleased with everything, and we received so many compliments about how beautiful our reception was. Even though there was a reception there the evening before, and another immediately following our reception, we never felt hurried, overlooked or stressed throughout the entire process. Longfellow's is the premiere reception venue in the Saratoga area for a reason!

utiful and unique in their own ways, there was something special and different about Longfellows. With that in mind, we booked them for our April 30th, 2011 wedding!
I have always dreamed of my wedding day and hoped I could find a place that would see my vision and truly help it come to life. The staff at Longfellows not only saw my vision, they executed it in a way that became even more spectacular than I imagined! From the very start, they helped us every step of the way, covering all the details with us. By the time our final meeting came, when most Bride's would be in panic mode, I felt like an enormous weight was lifted off my shoulders. They absolutely made me and my husband feel like there was nothing to worry about and our day was going to be as fun, relaxing, and enjoyable as possible....and IT WAS!!
Furthermore, after the wedding was finished (and every single detail was immaculate and perfect) we found a wonderful surprise in our complimentary Suite...they stuffed our fridge with dinner, appetizer, and cake leftovers! We were able to really sit and enjoy the food from our wedding when there was no one else around! We were also provided with a wedding night Champagne from our coordinator, Rebekah!
I would honestly suggest Longfellows for any wedding, of any style, and for any personality type!
Thank you Longfellows for making all our dreams come true!!!
I highly recommend Longfellows to anyone who is looking to have a stress free beautiful wedding. The planners are amazing. I had meetings with all three but worked with Gerri on my...
wedding day. She was wonderful. She had every detail thought of, every issue squared away, and made my bridal party and myself feel completely at ease.
Second, the food was delicious. I have heard that most wedding food is the same and because so many plates are made it is hard to get it right, but everyone raved of how delicious the food was. All in all it was an amazing experience, and I would recommend Longfellows to anyone looking for a stress free wedding venue!

During the ceremony and reception, my husband and I did not have to lift a finger, make a decision, or think about anything except ourselves and our time together. Gerri and the reception staff were amazing and coordinated every detail - they even had our gifts and leftover cake waiting for us in our room (with a bottle of champagne)! I can't say enough about how happy we are with our choice. Longfellows made for a wonderful winter wedding.

My guests even 3 weeks later are still talking about how great the food was and what a beauitful place we had our wedding at. Our wedding coordinator did a great job making sure every little detail was taken care of. Thanks to the help of the staff at Longfellows my wedding day was truly perfect! I would recommend Longfellows not only for weddings but for any event you are looking to hold!
