We had an absolute perfect wedding at the LAAC. My husband and I are big movie people, and we wanted our wedding to feel cinematic, grand, and classic - but not stuffy. And we got that from the LAAC and so much more. Our wedding ceremony was on the rooftop, which provided the most epic backdrop with the city skyline behind us. (Our wedding photos on the roof at sunset are absolutely stunning!). But what we also loved about the venue is the ability to have numerous setting changes that gave our wedding a sense of escalation. Our happy hour was at the Invention bar which has since become one of our favorite places in town to grab a drink. The vibe is romantic and atmospheric in the best way. Then we moved into the ballroom for the most majestic feeling dinner we’ve ever experienced (with an incredible three course meal and wine pairing that was probably the best wedding food we’ve ever had). And afterwards, we lit up the dance floor in the Olympic Lounge. Many of our guests stayed at the hotel (which was really convenient!), and everyone who worked there was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. And Christie, the LAAC’s rep, was just so amazing to work with — she’s great at her job and cares about her clients first and foremost. She helped us carry out our vision to a tee and when our rehearsal dinner location dropped out last minute, she offered to let us move it to the Hercules beach rooftop for a catered dinner and Tiki drinks which really saved us at the 11th hour! The weekend was perfect. Thank you LAAC!

Our wedding at The LAAC is what dreams are made of!!! Everything was perfect! Rooftop wedding?! Yes please! The venue, food, drinks, & service was top notch!!! If you have the pleasure of having your big day here, please request Christie to be your coordinator! You will not regret it! She was very attentive and didn’t mind alllllll of the questions we had. Terry was also amazing at helping us with the block of rooms in the hotel! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We spoke to many hotels in the Downtown Los Angeles area and none were as accommodating in having a room block as LAAC. Working with Teri to set everything up was a pleasure! As if that wasn’t enough, when we checked in the hotel and facilities turned out to be amazing. Our guests raved about the incredible spa, gym, and sports facilities and the hotel rooms and staff were also top notch. Also, the included breakfast every day was delicious! We recommend using them for your next event and hope to be guests there again soon.

My bride and I asked a lot of LAAC for our wedding. We poured over every excruciating detail of our menu and apparently requested more tastings than any other couple before us. We pushed extremely hard for a cocktail menu that was so involved it required several days of additional prep. We were THAT couple who couldn't let anything go and probably drove everyone crazy.
Everyone at LAAC took it all in stride. Roxy, Director of Catering, somehow managed to keep us from going crazy and delivered on everything we asked her for. Brandon, Bar Supervisor, went above and beyond his duties to hit the ambitious mark we set for him and he was on the money. Melissa was the warmest and most attentive server we could have asked for. And while we didn't get to work much with Rob leading up to our wedding, it eventually became evident that he had been working very hard for us behind the scenes.
Thank you to everyone at LAAC for the support, well-wishes, bearing with us, but most importantly for delivering on a set of ridiculously high and nearly unfair expectations. We're so happy with how everything went and will forever treasure our new LAAC family.

The whole banquet crew (Juan, Miguel & Rob) were on top of all the details, and so easy to work with. I wish I could remember everyones names as the whole crew were that amazing!!! Roxy was the venue manager and sales rep who is so easy to work with, and on top of all the details...thanks again for all your help as my clients had the best wedding!!!

Roxy and all her staff made our night VERRYYYY special. The attention to detail from the staff and constant communication with Roxy, making herself available anytime, and I mean anytime was incredibly comforting. We didn’t want it to be over. The staff were polite and professional always being positive while having smiles on their faces. We seriously talked about having another party there haha. The Los Angeles athletic club is beautiful with views that don’t seem real. We will definitely be back. Just because. Love you guys!

The LAAC is an exceptional venue! From the space and the decor, to the amenities and the staff - everything and everyone makes you feel special. We had a smaller wedding of 75 guests, and Roxy worked closely with us to make sure everything was planned and setup on the day-of exactly as we intended. She loves love and weddings and has tons of wonderful experience, ideas and advice. We used the lounge, ballroom, and Invention bar and kept our guests entertained, fed and liquored up :) Can't recommend it enough. Would love to do another special event here if I can find the occasion!

We got married at the Los Angeles Athletic Club on December 1, 2019 and the entire experience was unforgettable. We knew right away that this unique historic space was a perfect fit for us.
Beyond the beautiful facilities, the entire team was warm, welcoming, and professional. Roxy clearly navigated us through the wedding process and made every step memorable. From the venue walk-through to the food tasting to our engagement photos, everything felt like a bespoke experience. She even took the time to teach us the basics of the tango for our first dance.
Our wedding weekend was so much fun! I got to start the day with a swim in their incredible pool and my husband started his day with a game of basketball with his groomsmen and it all went up from there. We loved staying at the LA Athletic Club on our wedding weekend and having our loved ones stay there as well. We cannot thank the whole team enough for making us and all of our guests feel so taken care of. We are excited to make the Club our anniversary spot!

My daughter’s wedding was held at the Los Angeles Athletic Club on March 2, 2019. What an incredible experience it was from our initial visit to the venue, to preparing the contract, to the food tasting, to the wedding! Roxy Adlesh and her team at the Los Angeles Athletic Club are amazing! Roxy was always available and responded to us immediately, even when she was dealing with a family emergency! To say she was nice and wonderful to deal with is quite the understatement. The night of the wedding ceremony and reception, Roxy’s team were top notch.
The venue itself is classic and beautiful, exactly what we were looking for! The food was amazing! Everyone commented how great the food was—the hors d’oeuvres, the salmon, the hangar steak, and even the vegetarian/vegan option! Most event venues serve okay food, but the meals here at LAAC were outstanding! The wait staff were incredibly attentive and responsive to our every request. Rob and his team did a wonderful job!
In addition, LAAC has a hotel onsite and they will block rooms for your guests. The rooms are beautiful! Definitely not the standard hotel room you would find elsewhere. The rooms at LAAC all have character, and you feel like you’re staying at someone’s home. Teri Onerato was a delight to work with! Although we live in the Los Angeles area, we all booked rooms for the weekend so we could truly enjoy the whole experience and not deal with LA traffic!
What an incredible wedding weekend, all thanks to the wonderful team at the Los Angeles Athletic Club! Thank you Roxy and her team at LAAC! We cannot recommend this venue highly enough!!

We had both our ceremony (indoors) and reception (ballroom) at the Club and the whole experience was incredible from start to finish. We had nearly 200 guests and we fit perfectly. Roxy, who is the head of catering, helps you with all the details every step of the way. She helped us curate our own menu and our food tasting was beyond incredible. The food the day of the wedding did not taste entirely the same, however we got rave reviews from our guests, so I'm not upset. The day of staff went above and beyond to ensure our day went smoothly. Dessert was not included in our price per person, but we were allowed to bring in our own (we did cake and donuts and had the Club provide gelato).
The Club has a hotel associated with it, although they operate separately so we had to work with other staff to reserve rooms, but they were super accommodating and did not require us to pay for any rooms upfront as part of our block. We were given a free night the night of our wedding, which is where the groomsmen got ready day of. The ladies were given an extraordinary room for getting ready on a different floor. All vendors must be approved by the Club since it is a private club, but only because they have high expectations for their customers. We used a number of approved vendors from the Club's list and were very satisfied. The rooftop is a must for photos with the downtown skyline. We were too large to have our ceremony on the roof, but the pictures are exceptional.
Another perk was getting a month of free social membership to the Club for the month of our wedding. We definitely didn't take advantage of it as much as we should, but it was still a nice touch. Also, bathrooms was a very important piece of my venue search. I wanted to make sure they were clean and big enough to accommodate our large wedding. The Club's bathroom is gorgeous and one of my favorite rooms in the entire building. I had our photographer take a photo of me and girls in it because I was THAT obsessed.

We looked a lot of wedding venues around the area, but none of them had all the elements we were looking for. Having been a member for a couple years we were familiar with the LA Athletic Club, but I always assumed it would be way out of our price range and that we'd only be renting a venue. Roxy, the Event Coordinator / Director of Catering is simply the best. She handled virtually everything. Having heard horror stories of other weddings, I was relieved that she had planning weddings at the LA Athletic Club down to a science. The food was EXCELLENT. We even rented out the bar for the after-party and Rob the banquet manager helped us set up our own playlist over the clubs speakers. Melissa Pascual the lead bartender kept the booze flowing until we were all partied out and made sure the bride groom were well taken care of! It was all perfect, and my wife and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's truly the best place to have your greatest day.
One last thing, every single last preferred vendor was fantastic from the wedding photographer (Fitz) to our day of coordinator (T).

We researched and visited many venues for our daughter’s wedding reception. We were familiar with the Los Angeles Athletic Club (LAAC), however we assumed Membership was needed to host an event there. We found that was not the case.
In choosing her wedding reception location, our daughter had a few requests.
1. A historic Los Angeles venue.
2. Ability to provide a vegan food choice for the bride and some of the guests.
3. On site accommodations, due to the large number of guests traveling from all areas of the country.
4. After Party options at the venue, to follow the formal reception.
LAAC fulfilled all her desires and more.
The venue’s Centennial Ballroom and connecting Olympic Lounge gives the feeling of an old world, classic private club adorned with rich wood paneling, chandeliers, and timeless art. The photo opportunities were many, including the building’s rooftop views. Lastly, the Invention Bar adjacent to the Olympic Lounge, was the ideal place to host the After Party.
The food was delicious! Unlike many venues, your menu selections at LAAC are not picked from a list of pre-defined meal options. Instead, you work with the Event Coordinator and Executive Chef to create a custom menu of your desires. We were able to accommodate the vegans, vegetarians, and yet other guests who appreciate classic cuisine.
The service was exemplary! Roxy Adlesh, the Event Coordinator, worked tirelessly managing our function up through the start of dinner. Rob Adlesh, the Banquet Manager did a superb job managing the Banquet, Bar, and the After Party food and beverages. He was most gracious and accommodating to all requests asked of him. The Cocktail Hour, Reception, and After Party were all executed seamlessly thanks to the wonderful management and staff.
In all, every element of the evening was deemed a great success by the Bride, Groom, and all our guests.
The original wedding date was delayed an additional 9 months, so we had many conversations with Roxy Adlesh. She was at all times accommodating, gracious, mindful of all our wishes and budget. She has many years of experience in the field of catering and event management, and was an amazing source of information and expertise.
Teri Onorato, the LAAC Hotel manager was also so very accommodating, helpful and gracious when we requested additional rooms at the discounted room rate. Guests commented about the spaciousness, classic decor, yet modern features of their rooms. The Bride and Groom were given a lovely complimentary suite for their wedding night. The Mother and Father of the Bride received a beautiful corner suite at the single room rate. Plus, a delicious, complete breakfast is included with the room fee.
The Bride’s cousin, whose own wedding took place a month after ours stated, “The LAAC is so beautiful and the food so delicious, I want to scrap all my wedding plans and start all over here!” We wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend the LA Athletic Club as a wedding venue. There is not one detail or aspect of our event that disappointed. Actually, we’re glad we have another daughter to marry, so we can repeat our wonderful experience at the LAAC.

The LAAC was where my bride and I first met, and it was the most iconic location for our wedding. We worked with the Director of Catering, Roxy, and she put together the most beautiful event.
Early: Roxy will give you an all star team for the wedding. Just trust that she is giving you the best of the best. Roxy has a lot of knowledge about hosting weddings at the venue. Just talk to her about your dreams, and have some trust with her suggestions because she had some things that she protected us from that we would have never thought of.
3 Weeks Before: Final details get ironed out during a 2-4 hour meeting where you confirm final layouts, number of people, meals, etc. Everything that you can think of gets covered here. This front loads the effort and makes sure that the final days leading up to the wedding are less stressful. She sorts out a 90% final timeline and confirms all vendor arrivals so that she can work with the day of planner to make sure there is nothing that you need to think about on your wedding day.
Day of: Roxy is working with the wedding planner/coordinator to make sure that everything goes without fault. She was on top of it tasting food, making sure that the vendors could unload, ensuring her staff is quick and invisible to deliver the most amazing day of our entire lives!
Food: We received tons of compliments on the food. It is a fully custom menu, and you work with Roxy on all the ingredients and the recipes. We did a southern menu, and we did multiple tastings to make sure that we nailed everything. The chef met with us, and he made sure that he exceeded all expectations. He went 100% out of the box for a cheesy shrimp and grits recipe that he had never made before, and he crushed it! Well done! Only small note would be for the jalapeno poppers that they make them a little less spicy haha!
Venue for photos: One of the most diverse buildings in Los Angeles. This provides the best venue for photos
that you will hold on to for the rest of your life. Both indoors and up on their roof, every picture was almost entirely unique and was stunning with all the background elements.
Thank you, Roxy!

We had wedding in LAAC and it became the best choice I ever had. When I stepped in the venue my husband and I knew its the place. But what really made the decision is how the cater director - Roxy made us feel the sense of secure and professionalism which I couldnt find with a lot of vendors in LA. I saved so much trouble by booking my wedding with her, very responsive and responsible. We got a night staying at their beautiful suite, food was amazingly delicious, and all the guest had a memoriable night at this place. Special thanks to Roxy and Rob and the whole team in LAAC gave us such a wonderful night - it was definitely the best day and the most dreamy wedding I couldve imaging. I highly recommended to go with them, its breathtakingly beautiful place and good service.

I recently held my bridal shower brunch for almost 40 people in the Presidential Lounge (4th floor) of the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The room is absolutely gorgeous and feels like you are in a piece of history. My contact person was Roxy Adlesh and she was so down to earth and easy to work with. She was very conscientious and respectful about my budget and requirements. The staff was incredibly helpful and the banquet team helped me get everything in order, especially Rafael and Jose and another gentleman whose name I did not catch. They did an exceptional job and paid attention to every detail. My guests were so impressed by the team's friendliness - they were always around to help but literally did not get in anyones way. They even set up a PA system with microphone and were there every step of the way to make sure I was accommodated. My guests could not stop talking about the room and the food and the intimate setting for a group of friends to celebrate with me. I will be having many more events here in the future. Food was excellent and the ambience was so inspiring to work with. I created my own floral arrangements and table settings but did not bother with room decorations because the room itself is a work of art. Thank you LAAC, I am proud to be a member of your fine establishment.

We love the Los Angeles Athletic Club! What a fantastic venue! We were planning a very small, intimate wedding for up to 30 guests and wanted a classy location where all family members and friends could gather together for our special day.
We checked plenty of locations within the greater Los Angeles area but when we visited the Los Angeles Athletic Club everything just clicked! The place is absolutely gorgeous! It's like walking into a time machine. "Athletic Club?" you might ask. Do not let the name confuse you. It is an athletic club, but it is one of the oldest establishments in L.A. where Olympic athletes have trained.
Think: Chariots of Fire-type settings in the 21st century.
We met with Roxy, the Director of Catering who, along with the LACC catering staff are absolutely the nicest, classiest group of people one might hope to meet and and work with while planning our wedding. After a few short meetings with Roxy outlining our requirements, the event's schedule, the layout of their gorgeous Milennium Ballroom, etc. we were set.
On the day of the wedding everything went off without a hitch. Roxy and the catering staff were there on hand to make certain that everything proceeded as planned. Given their years of experience planning wedding events they knew all the right questions to ask, anticipated every need we could think of and were always courteous and available to make certain that everyone -- the bride, groom and guests -- were all comfortable and enjoying themselves.
And enjoy it we did! What a class act!
Our parents were first skeptical whether we would have the time and ability to really pull off a nice wedding. But those doubts were quickly dismissed and replaced with a great deal of awe and satisfaction when they saw how beautiful the wedding was.
Our family and friends kept commenting on what a beautiful place the LAAC is. The Millennium Ballroom was used for both our wedding and reception since we had such a small event, but it is a grand location that I believe can hold well over two hundred people and it is just magnificent.
In fact just about every part of the LAAC is gorgeous and full of history. It is almost like walking through a movie set filled with period settings.
Our photographer just loved the place -- so many great locations to shoot some very stunning wedding pictures! It was a good thing we were on a schedule or I think he would have had us shooting pictures the rest of the day.
If you are like us -- looking to get married in a classy, intimate place, you should definitely take the time to visit the Los Angeles Athletic Club. You will be glad you did.

We recently had our wedding at the Los Angeles Athletic Club on 10/23/15 in Downtown LA and it made for a GORGEOUS wedding. Our ceremony/cocktail hour was on the rooftop where the city view was our backdrop. Then our reception was held in the Centennial Ballroom on the 3rd floor of the LAAC which gave our wedding the right amount of elegance we were looking for. From the moment you step onto the property, you can't help but be amazed with its beauty. There are so many unique details of this venue that decorating is best kept minimal (trust me the rooftop and ballroom set the scene all on their own). Aside from the actual wedding day, the staff and onsite planning coordinator were very helpful with every detail. Roxy made sure that we were well taken care of throughout the planning process and while getting answers to our questions from the venue was sometimes difficult, we did get the help we needed in making sure the wedding went off without any issues. The venue also has a small boutique hotel that you can reserve a block of rooms for your guests. I would recommend, though, staying on top of the hotel reservations staff as they were a little hard to get answers from in a timely manner and not very thorough. But overall, the LAAC is definitely that venue where you get the most bang for your buck and it will leave your guests just astonished with how incredibly unique and beautiful it is. I can't recommend this venue enough. No matter what kind of wedding you are having or how much or little you decorate the space, the LAAC with definitely make your wedding day fun, dramatic, special, and beautiful.

I dealt primarily with Teri, the Dir. of Hotel Sales, in reserving a block of hotel rooms for our wedding guests (our wedding venue was nearby). She was terrific and very accommodating with our large guest list.
This hotel was the boutique size we wanted and had GREAT renovated rooms while maintaining the charm of the historic building... for what our guests felt was a very reasonable price, especially for downtown. The $12/day parking rate is also fair for this area of downtown.
Plus, they provided complimentary fruit-cheese-cracker plates for guests in-room upon check-in, and the hotel also provides free WiFi and breakfast buffet for guests each morning. Our guests are still raving about that breakfast. No stale cereal and mushy bananas here. They had waffles and omelettes made to order, yum! Included with the price of the room!
Can't beat their terrific service across the board (concierge, front desk, sales depts.) and all the little extras they provided to make us feel special on our wedding weekend.

We had several requirements for our wedding - we wanted it to be indoors, we wanted the ceremony and the reception to be in the same place, and we wanted it to be in a unique venue. The Los Angeles Athletic Club met all of our requirements, and as an extra bonus, has a fantastic hotel that our guests could stay at for a reasonable rate. The LAAC staff is great, the food was delicious and the venue is beautiful. And they were able to make our signature cocktails to our specifications with no problems.

We had our wedding in this historic building, it is a private club but they allow weddings there. We had a very elegant and vintage vibe. (It has been there since 1880) Everybody so so impressed! The food was excellent, everybody is still talking about it. The Catering Manager(Kelly Bland) was great and so accomidating. The service was very good.We booked the whole floor which included the open bar, appetizers, wonderful dinner, main ballroom, tables, chairs, linens, and the Cake. We even had a chocolate fountain! We got more bang for our buck in comparrison to the other venues in that same area.We also got great rooftop pictures at night. We loved it and we highly recommend the Los Angeles Athletic Club.:)

Downtown LA hotels are not only expensive but parking is usually an issue. The Hotel at the Los Angeles Athletic Club was a welcome find! Not only were we able to stay at a historic building, the rates were very reasonable and parking was cheap! The hotel rooms were recently renovated. We were able to take pictures on the rooftop which is gorgeous! The next morning, we were welcomed by the breakfast buffet.
