of coordinator who has a lot of experience with Los Verdes and he was amazing. We used Michael at True Luxe Events. I would highly recommend using him as he keeps a tight timeline and everything flowing so smoothly. The location has a list of vendors and not only did we get True Luxe from this list, but we also got our florist. We used Flower Duet and they were amazing to work with and did beautiful work. I highly recommend them as well. The original Los Verdes representative changed a few months before our event which was a bit of a dissapointment for us. Jules, the new representative, was good but we felt that with the change, a few things fell through the cracks. We had been told that the men could play a round in the morning as part of the event, and now we are being charged. We also paid a 22% service charge and asked if it went to the servers and we got an evasive answer that was basically no. Lastly, we were not told we had 24 hours to remove all our items. Our event ended at midnight on Saturday evening and by Monday the top tier of the cake had been tossed out and a Waterford champagne flute had gotten lost. These two items were very disappointing to loose. I just felt like we were being shooed out at midnight and could not remember everything we needed to collect. With this being said, we were overall very happy with the location and wedding. We hope these tips help with anyone else who is planning to have an event here. We would definitely do it again.

rough Los Verdes given what I had experienced. First, management was very bad. They were unresponsive, lacked attention to details, and overall made planning extremely difficult. When we would ask questions, we would find Greg never answering our emails despite the simplicity of our questions. I understand needing to take a bit of time before responding, but several emails would go unanswered. Later, we were working with Jules, and she was responsive but overall, there was a great lack of attention to details. When finalizing the Banquet Event Order, there would be several mistakes that would have to repeatedly get fixed. Additionally, they tried to charge us for a higher price on food, decor, etc. before I pulled up the emails they had originally sent and then they honored the quoted prices. The positive is that they did give us a small discount, but it left a bad taste in my mouth that they were trying to upcharge us from what we had originally agreed. In addition, we requested to set up the groom’s suite in the buffet room instead of the traditional suite which is much farther away for some odd reason. It was not set up at all when my husband got there, and he and his best man had to move all of the random chairs, extra tables, and junk away from the room so they could get ready. The food was really good, and we got good feedback from guests. But we paid for a “gourmet dessert station”, and the gourmet dessert station ended up being one small platter of finger-sized treats. Hardly gourmet. There also wasn’t any plates, utensils, etc. and guests had to take out their own napkins to pick up the food. Lastly, the coordinator provided through the venue (Michael at True Luxe Events) is the worst coordinator I’ve ever seen. DO NOT BOOK WITH TRUE LUXE EVER! Even if his service is free, do not do it because they do not know how to coordinate a wedding to save their life, and it’s ridiculous that Los Verdes works with them. It’s also indicative of how all of Los Verdes’s preferred vendors also quoted me severely upcharge prices that were not worth the quality that I saw.

Also, when we were taking photos post-ceremony on the 15th green, the golfers continued to play despite us being in the middle of the fairway. Aside from that, the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious!

e 10th tee was amazing. They did a great job setting it up and making it look great. Also the reception area was done really nicely. It was spacious and accommodated a large guest count. The price seemed reasonable compared to other places in LA. The bad: Communication during the planning process was mixed. Our salesperson was really good at the start but there were several miscommunications in the weeks leading up to the wedding. For example, we were told a date and time that we could do the rehearsal, but the space was double booked for a commercial. We couldn't use the space, had to move to a different area, and we were constantly scolded to quiet down during the rehearsal because they were filming. Not the best feeling the day before you get married Additionally, we specifically asked if the bathrooms would be cleaned prior to the ceremony (because we saw them dirty during our tours), but during the reception, the bathrooms were dirty and were out of toilet paper. Note the bathrooms are shared with the golf course. It took many times asking to get the toilet paper to be replaced. Lastly, there were also a lot more golfers present than we expected, including some that were smoking cigars close to the ceremony and refused to move. One minor note, we were told there would be WiFi to help our guests call rideshares, but the WiFi didn't really work (Palos Verdes is within the hills so service is spotty). Fortunately, all our guests were eventually able to rideshares so it was a non-issue.

telling us how much they enjoyed the appetizers and their meals. The staff was super well organized and we felt like we were in good hands with our event coordinator Ashley. She answered all our questions in a timely manner and was very accommodating to our various requests. The venue itself is beautiful, especially around sunset. Our cocktail hour began at 5:30 which was perfect for that golden hour (in mid-October) and everyone was inside by the time it got dark. There is plenty of space to mill around and socialize. We had space for a dance floor but didn't rent an actual dance floor but it still looked great, and our guests danced the night away regardless! All in all, we felt like we had the reception and party of our dreams and were very satisfied with the quality of everything. The only negative would be that there was a management change at some point and after the change happened, our emails hardly ever got replies and we had to ask about booking our tasting day (even though we were told in the beginning that they would reach out to us). If we hadn't asked, we would've never had a tasting because it happened to be the last few days we could sign up to be scheduled for one that falls before our wedding date. However, our coordinator Ashley was responsive whenever we emailed her directly and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to book a large event! It's pretty much all-inclusive and the only outside vendors we had to book where the DJ, florist, photo booth, and the usual photographer/videographer. No need to look for catering or rentals!

en though it was an hour away. Our breaths were taken away as we were driving into Los Verdes as we were greeted by breath-taking ocean views. The venue: Even though the outside of the venue does not look like much, the ballroom has neutral wall coloring, wood flooring, and is surrounded by windows that provide ample lighting (blinds available). There is a terrace where you can view the beautiful sunset and grounds. The 10th tee box gives you an ocean view, is well maintained, and sits ever so slightly elevated so you do not really notice any golfers that may be nearby. Our guests could not stop taking pictures around the venue. A bonus is that the space is highly customizable with florals or by their decor team that the venue contracts to provide dance floors, lighting, draping, etc. Also included was a bridal and separate groom's suite. The bridal suite had a keypad lock, much needed AC, and was spacious enough for 8 people at any given time. There are plenty of mirrors, outlets and chairs for the getting ready process. The food: We usually hear that food at weddings can be a huge miss but we received great feedback from almost all of our guests. We opted for the buffet option and everyone was satisfied by the amount of food and variety. People loved the appetizers and mentioned that they kept coming. For dinner, the mushroom risotto was a resounding guest favorite. The service: Last but not least we want to leave a raving review for the events team. You will not find a better venue because no other venue has a Greg Varley. We were truly amazed by his friendliness and professionalism and it is hard not to compare him to other individuals we've met because his service is simply top-notch and blows everyone else out of the water. You can feel the enthusiasm he has for what he does. We were sold on the venue once we stepped food on the grounds and to say Greg did everything he could to make that happen would be an understatement. We felt like we instantly connected with him and he made the entire venue selection process so much easier on us. We had planned the wedding until we hired a day of coordinator the week before our wedding and in the months we spoke with him, Greg was a well trusted resource. He was always on top of things and worked so hard to make every one of our requests and wedding vision come to fruition. We've truly rarely had the pleasure of meeting someone so genuinely invested in making someone else's dream a reality. Truthfully, we are both a bit sad that we are no longer planning a wedding because we don't get to interact with him! Our wedding would not have happened without him. Working with him made our wedding everything we could have dreamed of and more. We also want to give a special shout-out to his teammate Ashley. Although we did not interact with her nearly as much, she did a phenomenal job looking after us on our wedding day. Our wedding happened to be on the hottest day of the year and when my now husband started having signs of a heat stroke, she quickly brought us water and food. She shuffled the schedule around with ease and was empathetic, which made us feel very at ease despite the setback. Let the view speak for itself but we cannot recommend them enough. You will truly be in great hands.

e glad we ended up at Los Verdes. Loved that they handle everything from food & drinks, tables & linens, to wall decor. We really liked the variety of food you can choose from. Beautiful view from the balcony and rear windows in the evening. I think some of the time we worked with them was a period of high turnover and there were a few different people helping us, but Ashley worked with us closer to the event date and she was great. Would definitely recommend, especially if the idea of coordinating different vendors for tables and catering on your own sounds exhausting (like it did to us!).

lly booked, the coordinator we worked with was wonderful. She was thorough, helpful, and made the first couple months of our engagement and wedding planning process great. Unfortunately, she let us know she would be moving on to a new opportunity and we would be moved to a new coordinator. We were assured by one of the managers at the venue that the new coordinator would be seasoned and knowledgable about Los Verdes. This couldn't have been farther from the truth. We were given a brand new coordinator who knew very little about the venue - when I would provide her information or details she needed, it didn't seem she ever took note of them. I was very thorough in updating the venue, and she asked me the same questions over and over again. Eventually, she stopped responding to my emails, and all of a sudden other members of Los Verdes' staff would respond. Finally a couple months later after receiving responses from other people consistently, I asked if this person was still our coordinator. This manager, who was very rude throughout the whole planning process, then informed us that coordinator was no longer with the venue. She did not even provide the info of our new coordinator - I had to explicitly ask. When we finally met our third coordinator, it was at our venue walk through about 6 weeks before the wedding. She did not bring the venue details paperwork I had filled out and continually updated with them, so I had to check details myself on my phone when we had questions. Our third coordinator was actually very nice, and we definitely do not blame her for all the annoying things we had to deal with from the venue - she also, however, was new and not very knowledgable about the facility. We ended up hiring a friend of mine who works for a fantastic planning company, Samantha Hall Events, as our planner for about a month before the wedding and to have a day-of person to help out. I don't know what we would have done if we hadn't because although the venue says they provide a day-of person, we barely saw our venue coordinator during the rehearsal or the wedding. We understand if the venue feels a day-of person hired specifically takes precedence, but we still wish she would have at least checked in with us. Mostly, the venue looked beautiful on the day of and was everything we could have hoped for - mostly due to the weather being perfect and the golf course having a beautiful ocean/sunset view. However, we asked that trash around the venue be picked up before the wedding (my mom asked several times), and it wasn't really - there were overflowing trash cans, etc. Not very pleasant. The bathrooms also smelled very poorly and looked like they hadn't been cleaned at all. For a wedding venue, these items seem ridiculous. You would expect it to be a given that trash and bathrooms would be cleaned before an event as important and expensive as a wedding but at Los Verdes, this was not the case. Luckily, our pictures came out beautifully and the venue worked out on the day of, but I would not recommend Los Verdes to brides just starting to plan their wedding. Weddings are very expensive, and we felt like the quality of service we got at the venue absolutely did not align with the money we paid for it.

r till midnight. The sunset was beautiful day of and you can see the ocean from the ceremony and reception areas. The reception room needs a lot of decorating. Los Verdes works with another company for draping and lighting which made a huge difference in the decor. I also had a lot of flowers all around which dresses things up a lot too. The planners/ coordinators were very helpful with planning the whole day, would always work with us on pricing, and assured us that everything would be taken cared of. Our coordinator was changed a month or two before the wedding, Emily. She was very sweet and attentive when we would have questions or changes needed to our wedding plans. The day of was a completely different story when it came to working with the coordinators. Los Verdes promotes that they have an in house coordinator but don't be fooled. I would 100% recommend hiring a day of coordinator if you book this location because day of they are MIA. Luckily my family took care of the situation and I had no idea what was really going on behind the scenes (thank god). The Los Verdes coordinators were sitting in their office not doing anything during set up while everyone was stressing outside trying to get things together and organized. They allow you to come 2/3 hours before your time to start set up which is not a lot of time at all and can be very stressful! My family had to ask the coordinators several times to get out of their office to help. When you walked into the room near the restrooms it smelled like a dirty locker room and fish. The coordinator had no idea what to do to get rid of the horrendous smell but luckily my family figured it out. The mens restroom was out of order the day of the wedding so they had to leave the building and use the restrooms out back. The food was very good!! I got a lot of compliments on how good our wedding food was. We got the buffet option and had tri tip, chicken breast with cilantro cream sauce, salads, asparagus, & potatoes. The appetizers for happy hour are a little over priced, we only got some to meet the minimum on our package. I would recommend hiring outside for that. Overall I still had the most amazing day but my family and I were very disappointed in the lack of help the coordinators were the day of. I think they should be a bit more honest with their work flow day of and not promote having an in house coordinator. The location is well priced with gorgeous views!

Unfortunately, we were reassigned to a different coordinator (Zelina) a few months before the wedding. After meeting Zelina (once), she too left Los Verdes and we were reassigned a third time to a wedding planner, Emily. As you can imagine, my husband and I were very concerned with all the staff turnover and lack of consistency. On a positive note, Emily was accommodating, professional and answered all our questions. However, our dissatisfaction came with the day of our wedding. Prior to our wedding, there was an event at the venue, giving us only 2 hours to move out furniture from the previous event, set up our decorations and get dressed. This created undue stress for my florist, and all those helping with decorations. In addition, the women's restroom had a strong sewage smell that everyone complained about and when the day of coordinator was informed, she did nothing about it. Also, while the day of coordinator was a nice women, her lack of experience and inability to keep us on track, on the day of, really affected our timeline. My wedding party/family is full of huge personalities that needed to be checked, but she failed to do so. Instead, many details were left, and there was miscommunication throughout the day, which caused me considerable stress. Positive take-aways for the event: decor was beautiful, setup was as discussed, food was good. My advice for brides: make sure you have your own wedding coordinator who is able to keep your timeline on track, effectively communicate with the venue on your behalf, make sure things are running smoothly on the day of, and can keep all wedding party in line!

The beauty of the ocean, the trees was fantastic and the food was surprisingly good for a buffet-style service catering to 150 guests. The wedding was broadcast internationally on Facebook and we have great comments from friends and family worldwide. And of course, the wedding was on-budget (-:

m can't walk, so I had my hands full on my wedding day! They handled everything and went above and beyond! I also had a tire blowout on the freeway which caused me to have to put all of my wedding decor on the side of the freeway so we could get the spare out, then when we put the shredded tire back in the trunk, it took up a lot more room then the spare, so everything had to be taken out of the organized boxes, and shoved back in to the trunk! Some items broke, and all of it was a complete mess. So when I saw the venue the next morning, with almost everything set up the way I wanted it, I was beyond grateful!!! there was a lot of choices for decor, and even their vendors were fantastic! My invites were done with Myluxe, our cake was done by Torrance Bakery, and flowers were from J Flowers! All of our guests really enjoyed the food, the views, and how beautiful the venue was!!! If you are thinking of using this venue, please do yourself a favor and drive out there and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed! Thank you to the whole staff at Los Verdes, we will always be grateful for what did for us on our wedding day!

Los Verdes stood out to us. The scenic views were great, the staff was very sweet and helpful and the price was the best in the area. We appreciated that they worked with our budget and accommodated our wants and needs. They let us specialize our packages and did not try to convince us to add other services that would increase the budget, which was awesome. Food was also sooo good! Our guests kept talking about how good it was after the wedding. Although our coordinator was changed a few times due to people no longer working there, we ended up working with Greg and he was absolutely amazing!! Any uncertainty and fears that we had, Greg made sure to reassure us that everything would be fine and was like my own personal therapist. He served as our event coordinator as well as our day of coordinator and I could not have asked for a better person. He went above and beyond! My florist did not bring one of the bouquets for my bridesmaids and instead of him letting my freak out, he was really calm and explained to me what happened and he even made a bouquet from our arrangements so that my bridesmaid would have a bouquet. How amazing is that?! Our guests all loved him as well and we were happy that he was there for anything that we may have needed(even providing lighting for our selfies haha). We can't thank Greg enough for being so absolutely amazing and the whole Los Verdes staff for making our day flawless and amazing!

ig day. When all of your guests are furiously taking pictures of themselves at your venue you know you've found the picture perfect spot. My now hubby who loves to golf used to play out there on the green and think to himself, "This might be a nice place to get married." Boy was my man right! Our venue was not only eye-catching but the staff was impeccable and really took care of us. They were informative, friendly, very helpful when it came to all those wedding details and just an all around fabulous team to work with. Their vendor recommendations were spot on too. And, the catering was great, very delicious. I'm sorry I was so busy being a bride to eat more! Our day of coordinator Emily was totally awesome!! The Halliseys couldn't have done it without her! Accommodating, sweet, patient, I could go on and on. Get this girl for your wedding and book this venue immediately. You'll be so happy you did. I couldn't have asked for a better place to begin my Happily Ever After. Thank you Los Verdes!

While the location is beautiful and the views are breathtaking in Palos Verdes, this venue and everyone running it from the crew and the people in charge (especially Anna, one of the directors) are EXTREMELY unprofessional, clueless and inexperienced when it comes to weddings. They talk the talk and walk the walk and pretend to be helpful and care about your special day, but DON’T BE FOOLED… once your payments are locked in and it is wedding day, they could care less about your day. Seems their goal is to get through your wedding and have as many weddings as possible to make as much money as possible. We understand this is a business, but whatever happened to being honest and genuine to your clients? Anna turned out to be so fake and her and her staff were just clueless about running the venue. Even the assigned wedding coordinator was very inexperienced and indifferent. We were very surprised given the amount of weddings they have... The simplest things and no-brainers needed to be explained to them and even when documented, never happened. With such unprofessional, amateurs in charge it is no surprise the staff is so unorganized and unprofessional too. On our wedding day, it felt like a bunch of college kids coordinating our wedding. Just CLUELESS! The only thing that saved the day for us was the professionalism and experience of our OUTSIDE VENDORS. Everyone from the photographer to the caterer were all very experienced with weddings and so friendly and professional. We were lucky in that respect especially since NONE of them were recommended by the venue. They alleviated a lot of the stress and came through for us and even helped us stay within budget. We can’t imagine how bad it could have been if we had the Los Verdes Golf Course also take care of catering and the other services that Anna was trying to sell us. You’ve been warned! We hate to leave such a negative review but we feel we have to save other couples from this stress on their wedding day especially with wedding season around the corner. We would NOT recommend this venue host your wedding unless you have outside vendors for ALL the services and know that these vendors will take care of EVERY DETAIL… because Los Verdes Golf Course will not! We would also avoid working with Anna at any cost. One last note… After the wedding day, we tried to voice our dissatisfaction and wanted some answers but Anna was just plain RUDE and unprofessional. We could not believe how fake someone could be. She turned into this monster that kept sending us accusatory emails full of excuses to put the blame on us. She did not bother to call us and was insulting us in every way. She even threatened us with legal action! It is so sad to see someone who knows nothing about client relationship be in charge…. Especially when this is something that could have been resolved with a few kind words or a nice gesture. So disappointing… we chose them for our wedding and got this unprofessional, childish behavior in return. As we are writing this review, we see another recent review that experienced the same issues we did... rooms not being ready, staff being unprofessional, and the venue not making things right... like the other reviewer said, "don't count on LVGC to right things".

he most amazing coordinator and she went above and beyond to be certain we had what we needed for our big day. She always responded to my emails in a timely manner and was very patient with me when I changed my mind several times about things. Our day of coordinator, Greg, was fantastic. He made the day run so smooth and I didn’t worry about anything! If we had to choose again we would still pick Los Verdes as or wedding venue. The food, service and atmosphere was amazing!

ss and privacy to assigned facilities. Although this would probably make the average couple balk, we were accommodating. On our wedding day the next day, little did we know that the groom's lounge would be a free-for-all for the conference attendees. Also, when the wedding party is struggling to get ready with tension & stress levels running at full tilt, and the day-of coordinator is running around and inaccessible to us, and everybody is short on time, there can be challenges and difficulties in reaching out to find the right personnel to address our situation. But after getting off the call just now with their staff to raise this situation 4 days later, it was implied that we should've assumed the grooms' lounge *would be* a free-for-all, or that attendees of the other event *should be* allowed to have their possessions stored in the grooms lounge. In all the mayhem, long story short, this delayed our ceremony by a good half hour on the conservative side, and caused a couple of other mishaps that are now irreversible. But just imagine, half dressed men with family around and having strangers bust in on us. No recourse or credits of any significance was provided other than a complimentary couple of rounds of golf (I don't golf). Though most of the day went swimmingly, I'd caution that if anything were to go wrong beyond your control on an already stressful day, LVGC is more than eager to take you for a ride once the day is over. There were a few minor mishaps by the staff we were willing to overlook, but the patronizing, unapologetic, and unyielding level of service after the fact leaves a lot to be desired. So even though you're stressed and potentially on your last nerve, don't count on LVGC to right things.

out to Anna!!! She was one of the reasons we decided to have the wedding at Los Verdes. She seemed to genuinely love what she does and that gave us a lot of comfort and excitement in planning the wedding with her guidance. She gave really good recommendations on what we should do with the venue and was always immediately available for any questions or concerns we had. She joined us in multiple vendor meetings and we got to know her personally beyond her job title. She knew how stressed I was throughout this process and Anna always reassured me that everything would be okay. Our wedding day turned out perfectly and went above and beyond my expectations! This would not have been possible without her and her team. Thank you again for everything! We will miss you.

I don't know how much they are paying him but it is not enough. He was so warm, friendly, bubbly, organized, on-top-of it. Anytime I or my husband (groom) need something to happen at the wedding or had a question for Greg he was RIGHT there with an answer and a huge smile. He sent me down the aisle with a warm smile, a coaching sentence, and lots of butterflies. We are so, so impressed with how well the Los Verdes team (specifically Greg, are you guys getting this? make sure to ask for Greg) took care of our most special day.

He handled so many things and running around that day without ever stressing us out or even letting us know what things, if anything, needed fixing. A total professional. My tip to brides and grooms is to treat everyone, including all the vendors you work with, with kindness the way you’d want to be treated. We loved how: 1) Los Verdes knows weddings. As 2 busy people who work full time, it was a life saver that we didn’t have to rent tables, chairs, get insurances, and the many other things that the more DIY places would have needed. Their package and professionalism made it easy for us. 2) It’s GORGEOUS. We thought it was too good to be true and kept waiting to find out something bad. But it really is true. Having our ceremony there on the lawn overlooking the trees, ocean and sky felt EPIC! It made the vows and message in the ceremony even more joyful and poignant. October was great weather. The summer months can be overcast because of the “June gloom” marine layer off the ocean. Ballroom was perfect too. 3) The price was decent for us. We did ours slightly off season and on a Sunday to save costs on their food and beverage minimum. Somehow I was kind of like Steve Martin in Father of the Bride, afraid of every penny (even though I’m the bride) but it was a good value and I feel great about it. Also! They do meal tastings 4x per year. I highly recommend it, mostly so that you can go and enjoy dinner at your wedding venue! Your mind will be a million places during your wedding day. Go to the tasting well in advance with your fiancé, enjoy the wine and delicious food, and have a fun date out of it! So much of wedding planning is done on the computer these days. The tasting was our favorite day of the entire planning process because unlike other to-do's that felt like chores, it was so enjoyable.

The food is delicious- there's a food tasting that you & your future spouse go to try food, and the wait staff was super friendly. I had no complaints with the venue and we absolutely loved our wedding day at Los Verdes Golf Course!

l managed to make my wedding feel like the perfect day. First and foremost, when you book be sure to get assigned to Jackie Lowe as your private event sales director and Michael Garcia as you day of wedding coordinator. Michael is amazing. He checked in with me every twenty minutes and kept to my wedding schedule. I know problems came on the day, but he took care of everything including the projector screen for my slide show that I also forgot to bring. He made my day run so smoothly. He also worked really well with all my vendors. I received so many high reviews asking where I found him and on how professional he was. The food here was also amazing. Everyone talked about how delicious and pretty it was. The late snack snacks were a hit as well. There was so much food. My guest were stuffed. The venue is gorgeous. However, if you want the room to look good you have to add the additional elements. It's worth it trust me. I had the ballroom chairs upgraded with chair covers and sashes. My DJ added the up lights and a photo booth which added special touches. Get a good photographer that specializes in natural lighting. My wedding day had overcast, but you can tell in the photos. It is also worth it to hire a wedding coordinator through the planning process as well. The sales department will answer questions but they will not plan your wedding for you.
