I was able to think about any changes I wanted on my hair (I requested more volume at the front of my hair and it was perfect) and makeup (more glam and a darker lip color) and Lou and Jenna delivered! Lou communicates quickly and her team was on time and ready to go the moment my crew walked in. My wedding party is very goofy, and Lou's team was laughing with us which we greatly appreciated :).

met her a couple months earlier, as I had scheduled a trial-run hair and makeup consult. Anna met me at my house and worked her magic. I provided her with some inspirational photos via the Lou Stevens customer portal, so she was prepared for the trial-run. I would definitely recommend doing the pre-wedding trial. I was back and forth in my head trying to decide if I wanted to wear my hair up or down. This session helped me decide I wanted my hair pulled back in an elegant low bun. And as far as the makeup, she went a little darker than I wanted, but was able to easily lighten it up. This help both her and I know exactly what I wanted for the day of the wedding. She took pictures so she wouldn’t forget and could refer to while getting ready in the bridal suite. The airbrushed makeup looked flawless and my hair was loosely pulled back into a low bun with an stylish jeweled hair clip, which looked really nice with my dress. My mom and sister also looked so beautiful and were very happy with their hair and makeup.

She and her team member did hair and makeup for myself and all my bridesmaids plus hair for my mother and my husband’s mother. Everyone looked great, our hair and makeup lasted all night, and they were perfectly on schedule. Can’t say anything but kind things about them!

She is extremely talented, very relaxed and extremely easy to work with. Anna listened and adapted styles to reflect exactly what was requested. She created beautiful styles for 5 women which remained flawless through the entire evening. I will definitely be requesting Anna for any further special events. Lou was wonderful to work with - there are zero surprises. Her communication, clarity of services and fees as well as follow up to any concerns and questions leading to the wedding day made the entire experience easy and stress free. Thank you Anna and Lou for making such an amazing day even more special.

She gave me flawless hair, that held all night long (with all the July humidity too). She also gave me the most stunning make-up look I’ve ever had.

I was able to easily plan my hair and makeup trial and Kyleigh (my hair and makeup artist) actually came right to the house! My bridesmaids were so happy with their hair and makeup as was I. Kyleigh and Maddie came to do our hair and makeup. They were so professional and efficient that we actually finished early and had downtime the day of the wedding! I had so many people compliment on how beautiful my hair and makeup was. (That was actually the first thing my photographers said when they walked in to where I was getting ready!) Thank you Lou and your team! You were truly amazing!

t who was there with us that day. She was lovely and did a wonderful job. However, the business of Lou Stevens Glam Squad leaves much to be desired. Communication is inconsistent and information is not given up front. I'd recommend reading your contract thoroughly before signing or booking. I wanted to wait until after my trial to book the complete service but they do not allow that which is fine, but that information was not provided. Instead, I was being pushed to pay the full amount up front. It wasn't until I read the contract that I learned their policy is to pay up front. If you don't like the trial you can cancel I believe. Luckily, my trial went well and with a few modifications on the day of it truly was everything I wanted. The stylist who did my trial was the one with me on the day of the wedding which was very nice. Overall, I would not recommend booking with Lou Stevens. If my stylist were to work on her own, I would recommend her.

er brides - I originally wasn’t planning on doing a “preview” of the hair and makeup I wanted done because of the extra cost, but I decided to add that a few weeks before my wedding. I was really glad I did - the preview was a good chance for her to get to know how my hair would respond and to implement all my feedback effortlessly on the wedding day. I didn’t have to give her any notes the day of because she knew exactly what I was looking for, so I just got to sit back and feel pretty on my wedding day!

t with everything. The trial went amazing. During the day of the wedding, Malory was wonderful. She did an excellent job with doing my family's make-up. I wish I could post pictures of the hair she did for me because it was beautiful! Everyone loved it and I dance a lot and it did not budge at all. Tai was the one who completed all of my bridesmaids' make-up and they did such a great job. A couple of my bridesmaids have already gotten their make-up done before from a wedding and they said that the people in their previous wedding did a poor job. BUT TAI DID EXCELLENT. My bridal party were completely glamorous and beautiful in all of our pictures. They even received a lip kit so they could touch up during the day :) I would highly recommend Lou Stevens Glam Squad! I am really picky with make-up & hair and I praise what Malory and Tai did to me, my family and friends.

The team even took it in stride when the bride realized that she did not have the cuflinks that she had purchased as a gift for her soon to be new husband. As the bride was having an upsetting moment and had the hotel valets looking in three vehicles, Amanda and her team did not miss a beat! They were a calming force in what could have been a potential disaster on a wedding morning. Everyone was ready in ample time to get to the altar. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this experience! Lou Stevens Glam Squad can't be beaten.

o do my hair and makeup, plus my maids of honor, and the other was to do the makeup of four other girls. The second artist (the one who was not doing my makeup) was not great for several reasons. The eye makeup she applied to my sister-in-law looked terrible, despite having a reference picture. The color was wrong, and the shadow was hardly blended. She also didn’t do the cat-eye eyeliner that was a big part of the look. My SIL showed her the reference picture several times, pointing out the things that were missing, but it just didn’t seem to click. This brings me to what was ultimately the biggest problem we had with her - she was just NOT listening. At all. Another of my bridesmaids asked for a darker mauve lip color, and the artist kept showing her pinks. None of my bridesmaids who had that artist were satisfied, but they didn’t want to make a big deal about it and stress me out. The artist didn’t use primer or finishing spray on any of them. Luckily, the second artist there was willing to fix the girls who asked. However, the extra time it took her to go back and fix their makeup put us behind schedule and cut into the time we had for pictures before the ceremony. But, as for the other artist... Jane was an absolute wonder. She did my hair and makeup, as well as the makeup of my maids of honor. First of all, she did an astounding job. I was completely thrilled by my hair and makeup. Truly, it was exactly what I wanted and totally breathtaking. Not only was her work beautiful, but she was so pleasant to spend time with. She is down to earth and funny, and she made me feel so confident. She also went above and beyond the call of duty, fixing the makeup of the girls who were done by the other artist. She made sure to secure my flower crown and it stayed in the entire night. She even helped me into my dress. I cannot speak highly enough of Jane and her work. After everything was said and done, the owner (Lou Stevens) tried very hard to reach me, despite our 3-week-long game of phone-tag. It seemed like it was very important to her to sort this out, and ensure me that action was being taken so that no future bride had a similar experience (extra training, etc.). She also offered discounted services and other means of trying to make it up to me and my girls. Overall, the ability to work with Jane made the whole experience worth it, and she's the reason I'm giving 4 stars. I am so thrilled with how I looked on my wedding day. However, my experience with the second artist makes me hesitant to recommend them. Lou’s diligence in following up with me to try and make me happy is worth noting, and says a lot about how they run their business. In the end, I would recommend them for the work of Jane alone, but I might have a conversation with them about quality assurance first.

p and wanted something very soft and organic looking with my hair. Many of the styles I chose for inspiration were not great with my hair type. Jane was patient and helpful in creating something that achieved the look I was going for while working with my hair type. The updo was VERY secure and lasted all night. Great work Jane!

r and makeup more than 7 months in advance, but I wish I had. I reached out to several studios that were booked already and 2 of them recommended Lou Stevens. They seemed a little pricey (all wedding services are) but their work on instagram and most reviews were awesome. The extra fees are insane and not listed on their website. It says to contact them for a bridal trial, not that they're extra. Most other styling studios don't charge more than $100 (if anything) for a trial. Because it was a 2 bride wedding we paid $400 total for 2 bridal trials. At the trial our stylist looked at pictures we showed her, picked one and did it. I asked her for suggestions and other ideas but she had none. I've been to other bridal trials with friends and family where the stylist tried at least 2 different hair styles and played with makeup. I declined the $25 per person eyelashes for the trial and the custom lipstick ($15/person) because that would have added another $80 to make the trial $480. On the day of the wedding our stylist didn't look at the photos she took at the trial. I figured she knew what she was doing and I didn't question her. When I looked in the mirror it was TOTALLY different from the trial. My hair was the same but I had fully lined black eyelids like Cleopatra. I was really annoyed that we had spent that much on a trial when she didn't even do what was practiced. What was the point? My recommendations.... book hair and makeup early to have the most options. If you book Lou Stevens, request a particular artist. They contract out and their staff changes. Their core staff does beautiful work but you can't count on their contractors. My stylist was pleasant (also not her full time job, found that out the day of the wedding) and we looked good, but I feel ripped off for paying double what I thought I was going to have to on an already expensive option. I am happy to pay a premium for premium results, but I didn't get that.

I wanted a salon that could get to know myself and my hair prior to the day of my wedding (plus they give you 15% off your first visit)! Sandy is amazing – I LOVED my wedding updo and my girls also loved theirs as well! Huge shout out to Sandy, Sydney, Devin, and Amanda for making us feel so glamours. I fell in love with the salon, space, and staff. They made my wedding day so fun and relaxing - my bridesmaids loved getting ready at the salon and we even got done with our hair earlier than scheduled! We were able to bring in food, drinks, and play music all morning long. The squad makes the booking process so easy and their prices are super reasonable (I must have looked at 5-10 salons, prior to finding the Glam Squad). If you haven’t found a salon yet for your wedding – you should 100% book them – like right now!!!

I wanted perfectly. I loved that they were able to come to our bridal suite on my wedding day to do my hair/makeup as well as my bridesmaids. They were very prompt and responsive to my questions too.

nough time was not allowed. She had no idea on how to get a hold of me, was not given any 'heads up' on what I wanted or how long it would take to do my hair. This 'salon' is way overpriced and they cannot keep their 'payments received' straight. They sent me a bill months after everything was paid for and months after my actual wedding. The only way I can see so many positive reviews online is if they have their own friends and family writing reviews for them. This was an absolute disaster and created an extreme amount of stress and frustration. We were trying to have a budget wedding because we didn't have a lot of money. I really wanted to have my hair and makeup done with my maid of honor and decided to spend the money on a professional hair and makeup. I really should have just done it myself. Don't even spend time wondering if this was "just one review" because it could end up being your experience too. Keep looking! You didn't settle for who you are going to marry so don't settle for this company who could ruin the first half of your wedding day... and leading up to it!

As for the makeup however, they booked us with a young high school girl who had only just started working for the company, and she had to redo all of our makeup at least three times before all of my bridesmaids ended up washing it off and just doing it themselves (after paying $107 for makeup alone!). I am not at all exaggerating when I say that my bridesmaids all looked like drag queens after the makeup stylist was done with their makeup. It was atrocious and I was so mad. We kept telling her I wanted their makeup to look extremely natural, and she just couldn't do it. Then, she couldn't get my makeup right so she kept redoing mine, and I ended up being an hour late to my pictures which of course ended in a lot of stress and some tears. For more than $250 for a bride's hair/makeup, I would expect absolute perfection, and now I wish I had just done my hair and makeup myself because it would have turned out way better and would have saved me the stress and tears on my wedding day. After the wedding, I spoke with the owner, Lou, about my terrible experience and tried to get some of our money back (at least for my bridesmaids because I felt so bad that they wasted all that much money on my account), and she said that she would call me back after discussing it with her team, and I never heard back from her. This was such a disappointing experience and I have no clue how Lou Stevens has such good ratings. I would warn anyone and everyone interested in booking them to think twice because there is a high likelihood that they would be disappointed!

They were very professional and organized. They listened to exactly what each girl wanted and made sure we were 100% happy with our looks. I’m so glad I booked Glam Squad for our wedding! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

sion from the start of what I wanted my hair to be, I sent a finished photo and a photo of my natural hair (which is very curly). I told the stylist on the day of my wedding again, here in the style I want, and I want to use my natural curls. BUT instead of taking my curls and boosting them with the iron, my hair was brushed out, straightened, then curled to almost a fluff with the iron. Once my hair was pinned in place it looked sturdy but with in the hour had fallen from its position and was just hanging on my neck. Several times I had to ask someone to go in and rescuer my hair and it was falling, and becoming extreamly uncomfortable. I get that hair falls through the night, but before my ceremony even started it was not right. I am not unhappy with my experience, just wish the stylist would have listened more and taken what I had said from booking and done so. Maybe I needed to speak up more, but I was focused on other wedding day items at the time i didn't realize what was happening until the brush had already go through my curls. I feel for my hair alone i want to review with a 2 but the other nine heads we done beautifully and held up very very well through the night. So I leave a 3.5 star review with hopes that the next bride will read this and be clear on what she wants from the start and on.

Mallory was super friendly, easy to talk to, and delivered the exact look I was going for. When I went in for my preview appointment to decide my wedding day look, I was shocked to see Lou herself there to do my hair and makeup! I hadn't booked her specifically, but through sheer luck she was going to be handling all of my appointments from there on! I was absolutely thrilled! Lou was SO much fun at all of my appointments. I felt like it was one of my friends styling me to perfection every time! She listened to me as I explained the things I was self-conscious about and therefore wanted to "fix" with makeup. I chose a half-up hairstyle at my preview appointment and left happy, thinking that this was my wedding day look. When I got home and went to take my hair down, I saw how it fell in long, loose curls and totally changed my mind, now wanting this whole new look for my wedding day! I was nervous to throw this curve ball at Lou THE DAY OF my bridal portrait session, but she just assured me that there was nothing I could throw at her that she couldn't handle, listened understandingly, and styled my hair and makeup just how I wanted. I was so happy to have someone so accommodating! On the wedding day, the team styled me and 5 bridesmaids perfectly. Lou and Ericka listened and accommodated everyone's personal preferences, especially for makeup, tweaking things for each girl. Everyone's hair and makeup looks great in our wedding photos. Using the Glam Squad was one of the best and most critical decisions I made for my wedding. Looking my best on my wedding day (and in the photos we will have to remember our day for years to come) was a priority for me. I don't consider myself to be photogenic, but every time I look at my wedding photos I think, "wow I looked great." I know I achieved that because of hiring Lou and the Glam Squad!!

Ashley did our makeup, I wanted airbrush, lashes and straight contour glam and she killed it as well. For the price I thought bridal lashed should be included and a lipstick given to the bride but I had to bring my own to reapply. But they were both cool and good company to have around. One bridesmaid didn't like her hair and we didn't have time to redo but these thins happened. If you are nervous or booking from out of state DONT be, they were GREAT

As I watched her work, I saw my (already beautiful daughter), be transformed to a more beautiful polished and confident version of herself, right before my eyes. Wanting to take full advantage of the investment in the make-up session; we also had strategically scheduled my daughter's portrait session later that day. It was a fun but long day, and an outdoor session; but her hair and make-up held up beautifully all day! On the day of the wedding, Mallory arrived promptly and was prepared and organized. Our three bridesmaids were all of different ethnic backgrounds with varying hair types and skin colors. Mallory did a flawless job matching their skin tone and making them all look naturally beautiful. I could also tell that each girl truly felt confidently beautiful, and special that day. I highly recommend the services of Mallory, and the Lou Stevens Glam Squad. They don't merely pamper the outer person, but also nurture the inner confidence and beauty of each individual client.

My hair and make up looked flawless for both events. Britny was great to work with on all occasions. The only downside was that they left without putting my veil in on my wedding day. Everything else was perfect and I highly recommend them!
