She has worked with many vendors and provided us with her honest recommendations and thoughts on each of them based on our style. Kierstin was very professional and organized throughout our 14 month planning process, even our various vendors would comment at how well organized Kierstin was. We worked with Kierstin for our November wedding and were so glad to have her every step of the way! We got married at a logistically tricky venue, but we were able to plan our dream wedding thanks to Kierstin’s organization, experience, and creativity. Throughout the whole process, Kierstin kept us on track while helping us feel confident, comfortable, and in control leading up to the big day. On our wedding day, Kierstin and the Lovely Day team were incredible. They handled everything and resolved any problems in such a way that allowed us to be totally present and worry-free the entire time!

I cannot fathom the chaos and stress that would have been wedding planning without Kierstin's partnership throughout the entire process. We hired Kierstin for full service planning and it was one of the best decisions we made. She is organized, attentive, has great relationships with other vendors in the industry and is a clear expert in wedding planning. She's also the exact vibe you want when planning your wedding: extremely patient (answered the same questions multiple times, fielded questions from us and family members), very responsive to endless calls/emails/texts/Instagram messages and laid back. We truly felt that Kierstin kept our best interests in mind the whole time and was an advocate for what we wanted, making the relationship feel like a genuine partnership. She is professional in how she communicates, but also extremely approachable and easy to connect with. She also struck the perfect balance between taking things off our plate and leading, but also very much making us feel in control (this was very important to me as a type A person). There are not enough words nor space in this review to explain all the ways Kiersten was the definition of perfection as a wedding planner. Her attention to detail, presence of mind when it came to being able to pick up on how we were feeling, when we were uneasy, and knowing how and when to be our voice and guidance brought calm and ease to a wedding that should have been way more headache inducing than it was. We are beyond grateful for Kierstens expertise, she guided our hand towards the best of every vendor, ultimately garnering us a team of unique, experienced and talented people who made our day truly memorable. She knew the right questions to ask in order to pull out of us what we did not know how to express, and she truly took the time to get to know my husband and I both as individuals so as to make sure that neither of our voices over-shadowed the other. I can truly say that over the year and a half we spent planning our wedding either Kiersten, she became more of a friend and guiding hand, and less of someone we simply hired to help with the wedding planning process, you would be remiss to not seek her help with your own day. Lindsay and Kiersten at Lovely Day were amazing and helped my husband's and my dream wedding come to fruition. We met with Kiersten 18 months out and explained our vision, personalities and the fact that we were planning our Austin wedding from New York and she was super helpful in sharing her ideas and experience. We went with the month of coordination package as we knew we would be pretty particular about details and Kiersten thoughtfully took our considerations and paired us up with Lindsay who was all around amazing. She met with us countless times to check in on our status and give us ideas or suggestions. We met both in-person (when we were in town) as well as virtually, and never felt the pressure of a time clock to our meetings or her involvement, which was our biggest fear with the month of coordination package. We had some pretty particular ideas of what we wanted and though Lindsay would say “I’ve never seen that done” she worked with us to make sure it happened. She worked tirelessly to listen to our ideas, the nuances of what we wanted and made sure to execute each and every aspect the day of the wedding. She truly brought a vision we had to life and we can’t thank her enough!

We worked with Lindsay for our December wedding and were so happy with the service she provided throughout our planning process! As someone who loves a spreadsheet, I was put at ease with how organized their online portal was and how much information they provide up front! Any time I had questions Lindsay was prompt to respond and provided a calming presence when things started getting real. The day of went seamlessly as well, she had everything under control and the entire event went absolutely perfectly. We could not have been happier!

Kierstin is an absolutely top-notch, knowledgeable, creative professional and also just a wonderful human and we cannot recommend her and her team more. At the beginning of planning we thought any of the trusted Austin planners would work just as well and we were in a bit of a rush at 6 months out. Our venue (the Commodore Perry) recommended Kierstin and to our great fortune she was available. In hindsight we had seriously underestimated the importance of having a wedding planner with a true eye for art/style and an elevated taste that we share (and/or aspire to!) along with an expertise that comes only from a lot of experience, and we came to realize that we'd hit the jackpot in Kierstin as this is exactly what she brings to the table. She seamlessly helped to execute ideas that started as mere figments in our Pinterest imagination and her vendor recommendations were 100% all-star, top-tier people and companies (and which were not necessarily the most expensive options) that we loved and that we would not have found if not for her guiding the way. Kierstin helped design and put together looks for our table settings and many other artistic details that ended up looking like they were out of an editorial. She went above and beyond for us in so many big and small ways and her help allowed us to have the unique-to-us details that we dreamed of. She's also super intelligent, reasonable, calm and organized and was exactly who we needed to help keep us on task week to week and who we would have wanted to guide us through some of the not-so-fun details, like planning for weather-related contingencies and handling delicate interpersonal issues. Even more important than all of the above, she is such a truly lovely, kind and warm person and it was a delight to have meetings with her, which were fun and which always made us feel like the planning process was in the best of hands and alleviated any planning stress we had immensely. Honestly it was just great to see her friendly face throughout our wedding day, during which we didn't have to worry about a single detail. Our wedding was perfect and felt completely magical (which is the word a lot of our guests used to describe it as well!) and we attribute this in VERY large part to having hired Kierstin. Kierstin and Lindsay were ESSENTIAL in realizing our dream wedding this past October. Not only did Kierstin’s advice guide us through our anxiety, her contacts also paired perfectly with our vision. Lovely Day helped us navigate rescheduling our wedding twice because of the pandemic. When our wedding was finally on the horizon, Lindsay was exceedingly hands-on with handling the minutia of coordinating and validating all of our vendors. Lovely Day helped get us through the COVID-19 pandemic. Our wedding was in the first weekend of cancellations in March 2020, which meant everything was the worst case scenario of chaos. No one knew what to do, no one knew how to react, vendors were going out of business (and sometimes keeping our deposit or even our whole contract amount), and no wedding insurance on the market would have covered it. The wedding that had been so passionately planned by my wife and by Lovely Day for a year was canceled mere days before the event. It was devastating. Lovely Day deftly and compassionately navigated situations during the cancellation and replanning that had no historical precedent. The pandemic was a very difficult time but there were some people who rose to the occasion to take care of their fellow American, fellow community member, or fellow human. Lovely Day went so far beyond what could have been expected from a normal business partnership because their passion is in their clients. To try to explain just how far they went “above and beyond” would simply be an exposé of my inadequacies as a writer. When it finally came time for our long-rescheduled wedding, the Lovely Day team brought an amazing and flawlessly executed day to life. The wedding planner is the single most important decision you’ll make about your wedding. Don’t bother looking any further for the perfect partner in making it smooth, gorgeous, and uniquely suited to who you and your fiancé are as people and as a couple.

I cannot even begin to tell you how much we loved working with Kierstin! We already loved her but then, the dreaded COVID reschedule came (our original date was 03/28/20). Kierstin was so helpful and supportive during this time. It was so stressful and she not only helped us navigate the many twists and turns it brought, she was so gracious as we navigated our emotions. We changed the date for the big wedding but since we were only about a week out when the world changed we were so ready to be married we had a small private ceremony still. Kierstin had helped us create this beautiful wedding we wouldn’t get to see and she became so dear to us we asked her to officiate our private ceremony. She got ordained in the Church of Dudeism and wrote a beautiful opening for our ceremony. Then, at the rescheduled big event she read the lovely words she offered that day to our family and friends. So much work had to go in to reschedule and everything went off perfectly. Thanks so much to Lovely Day for making sure we still go our special day!

We did not enjoy our experience working with our coordinator at Lovely Day. We had issues with communication and ultimately had personality differences with our assigned day of coordiantor that resulted in a lot of stress and frustration on the actual wedding day. Despite all of our challenges, the owner Kierstin has gone out of her way to rectify our concerns and express genuine regret for our negative experience. My advice if you are thinking of hiring Lovely Day is to work with Kierstin directly as your day or month of coordinator.

Kierstin and her team at Lovely Day are so organized, kind, and professional and I cannot say enough great things about them! She sees the vision you have for your event and helps you bring it to life. My biggest fear leading up to my wedding was worrying and stressing on my wedding day/the months leading up to it. With Kierstin and her team, I can say with confidence that I didn't worry one second on the day of. I just knew they would handle any obstacle big or small that came their way. Kierstin with Lovely Day Events was an absolute pleasure to work with! We have gotten to know her over the course of about 3 years and 3 wedding dates (thank you covid) and she has been so incredibly helpful, creative, and overall just an amazing person. I don’t even know if I can put how amazing Kierstin is into words, but I will try! When I started planning my wedding, I had an idea of what I wanted but I am not one of those girls that was blessed with “vision” and creativity— I grew up the only girl in a house of boys so we can blame it on that hah! Our venue coordinator recommended Lovely Day, Kierstin specifically so I reached out and the rest is history. Kierstin was so patient with me, I have zero clue about flowers and I’m not very good at putting colors together but she asked so many questions and helped guide me into different ideas. When we finally had a game plan on the design, she did all of the coordinating and follow ups with vendors- I felt like I never had to experience the crazy wedding stress because every time I talked to her, she was so confident and had a plan for everything and everyone involved. And I can’t even begin to explain how ORGANIZED she is and her follow ups were always on time and ahead of schedule. If anything, she would be waiting on me at times haha! On the day of my wedding, my bridesmaids and my mom kept saying that it was the most relaxing wedding day ever— there was truly nothing for us to do except get ready and drink ;) Every vendor was on time and throughout the day, Kierstin would come and give me quick reminders for whatever was coming up. I got married in July and my dad (who is traditionally a tough man to impress) will to this day tell everyone that our coordinator is what made the day so great. Even our guests raved about how fun and smooth everything was! I can confidently say we didn’t have any hiccups at all — Kierstin is one in a million and the best at what she does. I loved my wedding, and it’s true what they say, I would do it all over again but only if I could have Kierstin with me!

Kierstin Schupack was the perfect fit in every way for my daughter's wedding. She's calm (we needed that!), organized, efficient, has worked with all the best vendors in Austin, and knows the ropes, and handled everything so beautifully. It was a dream wedding come true and we felt in such good hands with Kierstin. Based on her experience, she gave us honest, good advice. We had a lot of out of town guests so having a wedding planner was key to organizing all the logistics. When the weather was turning really cold (most everything was planned for outside) she quickly secured very attractive heaters from the rental company before anyone else in Austin could grab them. Planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic seemed very overwhelming but the second I interviewed Kierstin, I knew she would get it done. Kierstin is the kindest, most patient, professional, yet very approachable, planner you’ll ever get. She made the whole process stress free and was always available to chat and make sure my questions and concerns were answered. Even for things that were completely out of her control, like losing my voice the night before my wedding, she went out of her way to get me a humidifier and tea for my throat. Kierstin genuinely cares about her couples and she made it clear to us by the time and attention she always gave us. I actually forgot that she was also planning other weddings in the year and a half we worked together because I felt like I had her all to myself. I also appreciated the assistants she used to help the day of my wedding. They were equally as kind and professional as Kierstin was and stayed with me until I was tucked away in my honeymoon sweet at 2:30am. If you do one thing for your wedding, make sure it’s to hire The Lovely Day. I seriously miss my routine calls with Kierstin now that my wedding is over!

Kierstin helped me design my destination Austin wedding in six months from start to finish, and the entire wedding experience ran flawlessly because of Kierstin's meticulous time, effort, and attention to detail throughout the entire process. Ironically, I was very opposed to the idea of a wedding planner when I began searching for one. My now-husband and I wanted a non-traditional wedding that reflected our quirky personalities and I was worried a wedding planner might tempt us down a more "tried-and-tested" path. Kierstin is the best. It was a joy working with her even with our wedding having to be rescheduled due to Covid. A few things that make Kierstin a pleasure to plan your wedding with: 1. She genuinely cares and makes it abundantly clear. She is invested in your wedding being fabulous and exactly what you want it to be 2. She gets to know her clients and understands what you're looking for. She takes the time to get to know both partners, what matters to you, what doesn't, and the kind of wedding you want to have. Then she helps make that a reality and helps you prioritize the things that matter to you and deprioritize the things that don't 3. She has an amazing eye. She designed our entire reception set up (bars, place settings, tablecloths, etc.) and it looked incredible. She is an artist and will create something objectively beautiful, but even more important, in keeping with what you want / like 4. She is a joy to work with. Covid caused us to reschedule our 200 person wedding weeks before our date. Rescheduling with some vendors was a nightmare. Kierstin was always there for us as a support, advocate, cheerleader, therapist, etc. She never got frustrated and was a stabilizing presence during an extremely stressful and emotional time 5. She sweats the details. She knows that getting the little things right matters to make a wedding go smoothly and she makes sure it happens. She went above and beyond on our wedding day, setting up our day of signage / decor, even steaming my dress. She is there for you for the big things and the small things and will make SURE that your wedding is exactly what you want it to be 6. She is unflappable. Planning a wedding (even not during Covid) is stressful. Kierstin is your partner through the whole thing and has a beautiful, calming presence that makes the whole process easier and more enjoyable Long story short, if you want to have a unique, gorgeous, fun wedding, Kierstin will make it happen. I watched Kierstin with Lovely Day guide a couple in which the Bride and Groom were BOTH doctors working in New York at the height of the pandemic. She helped them plan, and then re-plan a beautiful wedding under these unbelievable circumstances, and never appeared anything but calm and confident the entire time. It was such a relief and reassurance for the rest of the vendor team and I'm sure to the couple and their families. Her professionalism and organization would be an absolute asset to any wedding, and I can't wait to work with the and Lovely Day Events again.

I was trying to plan a wedding in Austin while living in NYC and after a long and unsuccessful search for a wedding venue, I was lucky to find Kierstin with Lovely Day events. She was incredibly organized, calm, and excited to figure out what my fiance and I wanted for our wedding. She has a four phase system in place to keep couples on track while planning but also to keep the process from being too overwhelming. As someone who had never really thought of what my wedding 'vision' or 'dream wedding' would be, she was great at helping me talk through different details of the wedding to figure out what I wanted. She was also extremely accommodating to my very busy work schedule when setting up meeting times and giving us a realistic amount of tasks we were able to accomplish. We were almost finished with planning and then the COVID pandemic hit and we had to postpone our wedding. She worked through all the changes we had to make, the re-negotiation of contracts with our vendors, and re-configuring our wedding to be safe during the pandemic. She did all of it with such grace and ease that despite everything we were able to plan a more beautiful wedding than I could have ever imagined. My now husband and I have told her many times, we never would have been able to have such a beautiful wedding with our family and close friends if it hadn't been for all her work! Kierstin was absolutely wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding in Austin!

We had our wedding in the midst of the Covid pandemic on 6.20.20! We had been planning our wedding for over a year and we initially went back and forth on the idea of hiring a coordinator since we pretty much knew what we wanted already and had our vendors, but we ultimately decided to go ahead and get one to help with the day of details and boy am I glad we did! Stephanie was our wedding coordinator and she totally rocked it! Because of Covid we waited until about 30 days out to even attempt to decide if we should move our wedding date or not. Given the short amount of time we gave her she communicated with all of our vendors and got our timeline planned out for that day so when the time came everything went smoothly! She made our day so perfect and I didn’t have to worry about anything! She was the prime go to for everything that day, I never had to second guess anything which made the day so enjoyable! Other than just being a great coordinator her and her assistants turned into being more like great friends, I truly enjoyed having them by my side and would do it all again!! <3 If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator I highly recommend making the investment, it wouldn’t have been the same without her!

Kierstin was a great partner and excellent wedding planner for our February Prospect House wedding. Throughout the planning process she helped keep us on task, especially when we were busy with work and school or simply just slow to make decisions. The monthly check-ins were very helpful to talk through options, organize information, figure out how to prioritize decisions and agree on next steps. Kierstin was honest and forthright in handling issues as they arose. She also did an excellent job at adjusting to different communication and work styles -- knowing when to push and when to hold off or be more gentle depending on the circumstances. Since we do not live in Texas, we leaned on Kierstin for vendor recommendations and she helped us line up an all-star team of professionals for everything across the board from catering to entertainment. Not to mention that she was very cognizant of our budget and helped us find economical options without jeopardizing quality. Our guests raved about the food, drinks, service, venue, and music! I had a hard time articulating what I wanted for flowers and decor. Kierstin was a great listener and understood my preferences. She helped me put together a color palette and articulated what I wanted to our florist. This was one detail among many other interactions and touches where Kierstin went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding vision came to life. Leading up to the wedding day, Kierstin shared a detailed wedding timeline with our vendors. She also reached out to our families and wedding party to share key contact information, the day-of detailed timeline, and Austin recommendations since everyone was coming from out of town which was such a nice touch and thoughtful gesture. Kierstin and her team handled the wedding day in a very competent and professional manner. It was flawless! We were so grateful to be able to enjoy the day and not have to worry about logistics behind the scenes because we knew Kierstin was on top of everything. Our wedding would not have been the same without her. It was such a joyful day filled with good energy all around and everything flowed seamlessly. I would HIGHLY recommend Kierstin and her team!

Our wedding day would not have happened without the support and guidance from Kierstin Schupack. My husband & I began working with Lovely Day Events in November 2018, when I had the realization that I could not plan our dream wedding while working full-time and living in Atlanta. From the first moment I spoke with Kierstin on the phone, I knew that she was the wedding planner I wanted to work with, as no one else even compared. For our first in-person meeting, Kierstin drove out to Dripping Springs on a weekend to visit me, spent time showing me her site "Aisle Planner," and offered me hands-on practical support. She was kind, authentic, and a great listener. I felt instantly calm and affirmed, which is something so beautiful during a wedding process. Moving forward, we worked with Kierstin from this meeting frequently until our wedding day on October 12, 2019. Kierstin scheduled regular meetings with me, allowed me to have a few freak-out moments along the way with no judgement, sent me flowers & gifts throughout wedding planning (seriously!!!), and truly cares about my husband & I as people outside of the wedding process. She had worksheets for us to fill out, thought about everything in advance, and helped teach me the unspoken rules of weddings (like gratuity & all the details of a contract). Fast-forward to the wedding day itself, and Kierstin was the leader behind-the-curtains of our show: keeping everything moving on schedule, making amazing executive calls, and allowing me to really live in every moment. Kierstin is selfless, kind, organized, and genuine. She is the real-life "Mary Poppins" and I am so blessed to have met her through this process. The execution was perfect. We also had to plan everything remotely because we didn't live in Austin, but never once was I worried, knowing that Kierstin was there. Carissa was a dream come true. She handled everything with humor and grace, and helped calm my nerves the closer the wedding got. Where do I even begin? Carissa, my sweet selfless planner, you took my dreams and made it truly into the best day I could have ever asked for! I interviewed well over 10 planners and when you know, you know. If you don't leave your wedding night sad that you no longer get to work with someone you can now consider a friend- why even have a planner? Kierstin was the biggest blessing during our entire engaegement and through the wedding - it wouldn' t be half what it was without her! Throughout the process, she provided amazing vendor recommendations she knew were A+ and reliable, organized all the small details that would have inevitably been overlooked, provided advice, and kept us on schedule. We probably weren't her best clients in terms of staying on deadlines, but she was always calm and provided gentle reminders of what we needed to decide on and get done :) And the wedding day... everything ran so smoothly because of her and her assistant's organization and attention to detail. For me, finding a coordinator was tricky because you can't really "see" how good they are before getting to the actual day of the wedding like you can with a photographer or a florist. This makes it a bit more of a gamble, so I was pretty nervous and maybe even apprehensive. Well, Lovely Day Events is SO WORTH the gamble, seriously. Carissa was a god send on the day of my wedding. You may think you can get by without a coordinator (and I'm sure you technically can) but if you hire a good one, they are well worth the money. Carissa handled all of my vendors day of, handled my timeline, and kept me stress free. I would have been running around all day trying to get stuff done instead of enjoying my own wedding if it hadn't been for her. Plus she's an adorable human. Seriously go for it!

Kierstin is absolutely amazing! She really took the time to listen to what we wanted our wedding to look like and what type of experience we wanted for our guests. She then took our ideas and made them a beautiful reality for us. From the months leading up to the wedding, to the day of, every single detail was considered and taken care of; every vendor was carefully vetted; and we were able to enjoy our special day completely worry-free. We had complete confidence that with Kierstin we had nothing to worry about and our guests would be taken care of. The day of and in the months following, we heard only wonderful things about our wedding and it proved to be magical and unforgettable for all in attendance. We cannot say enough good things about Kiersten and her team; we highly recommend their services.

Kierstin is the best and I'm not kidding when I say we could not possibly have had our wedding without her. I'll start by saying that in many ways I'm a wedding planner's worst nightmare: I'm a full-time grad-student and part-time nurse, so I had very little time or energy for wedding planning; I'm absolutely terrible at making decisions; and my partner and I were kind of on the fence about about even having a wedding in the first place (we came *thisclose* to eloping). We were nervous about picking a planner because we knew we weren't going to have a cookie cutter wedding and we needed someone who would "get" us. That person was Kierstin. When we first met her, she was clearly intrigued, rather than put off, by our desire to do things a little bit differently; moreover, she was funny, calm, and relaxed, and offered really thoughtful responses to our questions. I also appreciated that she takes on, at most, one wedding per month, which meant she actually had time for us and also that she has a sense of perspective: yes, weddings are awesome and important, but so is life outside them! Kierstin gave us exactly what we needed throughout the planning process. When we were dragging our feet on making decisions, she respectfully but firmly reminded us of our timeline. When I felt lonely and overwhelmed because I was planning without family (my mom passed away about four years ago and the rest of my family is scattered across the country), she was sensitive and reassuring. When I reached decision overload and told her I truly didn't care which wine glass we rented, she stepped in and picked one. When the seamstress the wedding dress boutique recommended told me my only option for undergarments with my dress would be taping my boobs, Kierstin fielded my panicked phone call, gently assured me that it would be fine, and recommended another seamstress, who was fabulous. (I wore a bustier and it was indeed just fine.) When I was losing my mind during midterms and told Kierstin I needed a one-week break from the wedding, she said "no problem" and gave it to me. In other words, she can not only handle anything, but she can handle it with grace, kindness, and a gentle sense of humor. She can also connect you to incredible vendors, roll with unusual requests (llamas at the reception? sure! ofrenda for family members who died? yes, of course!) , and, perhaps most importantly, remain calm, organized, and grounded even when you feel like everything is crazy, which is how I felt for most of the time I was planning the wedding. As for our wedding itself, it was just... perfect. I'm sure something must have gone wrong somewhere along the way, but I have no idea what it was; we basically just showed up and the day unfolded around us. I don't think it could possibly have gone more smoothly. We both feel incredibly lucky to have had Kierstin helping us have the best day of our lives. She is so, so special and, yes, lovely. Thank you, Kierstin! We love you!

Without knowing it I signed up for a complicated wedding - our venue only provided chairs and tables, so for everything else (plates, knives, tablecloths, food, drinks, flowers, you name it) I was looking at having to select each specific vendor from hundreds in Austin, contract with them and then coordinate all details in the months, weeks and days leading up to the wedding. Instead, Kierstin helped me keep my sanity. She recommended vendors for me to choose from, she went to vendor visits with me and helped me think of things I wouldn't have known to even consider, and she coordinated all the details with them, including an extremely long and complicated timeline for the day of. The wedding had a ton of details so having her there to help with all this was a lifesaver. She helped us create a super detailed timeline and then on the day of she executed it perfectly. On my wedding day, I thought of nothing but having fun with my husband, family and friends. She took care of the rest so I (and my mom) didn't have to. We hired her from the start (which I would recommend) and she helped us through the entirety of the process, but at a minimum you should hire her to help with the day of. You will not regret it. We also found her to be very affordable which was a big deal for us. Would highly recommend Kierstin and Lovely Day!

Design and Month of Coordination Design and Vendor Selection: 5/5 All of the vendors Kierstin recommended were awesome! I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to help us with the wedding. I would highly recommend all vendors we used throughout the process ( Royal Fig, Royal Dukes, Sweet Treats, Brighter Lite Events, TankGoodness Photography, ColorTheoryCollective) Attention to detail: 3/5 The thing I really liked about Kierstin was all of the software she had to keep the group organized. Essentially, you could put in all of your details and it would track and help to plan everything for you! With that being said, I would have liked the leverage it more instead of going over the same details on our phone conversations and/or in vendor meetings. Day Of: 5/5 The day of went off without any glitches. Kierstin and her assistant Carissa (Amazing!!) helped to make sure everything went off seamlessly. Overall: 4/5 I originally picked Lovely Day Events because I liked the calming presence of Kierstin. I think she does a good job of reminding you what import is and to not get too lost in all of the details. I enjoyed the planning software we used throughout the duration of the event and our phones calls up until the big day. If you are able to be in the weeds the entire time and just need someone to act as the calming presence or to be onsite in Austin, Lovely Day would be the right company for you.

I found Lovely Day events after doing research online. We were planning an Austin-area wedding long distance from Brooklyn, New York. I interviewed a few planners, but Kierstin stood out of the pack. She has a very sweet and kind nature. She asked my personal questions about my partner and myself, and shared very openly that she has experience working within a range of budgets. Although we were cost-minded, aesthetics and style were important to us, and I knew immediately that Kierstin would understand our vision and wish to create a special wedding. Kierstin is great to work with. She was communicative and responsive over email and organized very regular check ins for us to meet and get things done! She worked with a fabulous wedding planning tool that helped keep us on track and had helpful checklists. All of our planning lived inside this portal, and as a person who works in digital and loves apps and tools and organization this made me very happy. Kierstin suggested vendors that were in line with our vision and coordinated a next day pickup for our rentals, and an early pickup for our alcohol order, both of which made our lives easier. Kierstin also scheduled in person meetings with us while we were visiting from out of town, where we met with many vendors and this made us feel great about our final decisions and got us pumped for our wedding! The day of process was smooth as can be. Kierstin and her assistant Carissa executed the day flawlessly. They stuck to a pre-planned timeline that was very thoughtful- there was plenty of time to get ready, enjoy the day, and find those quiet moments to reflect before the ceremony! We had an outdoor ceremony on a day that threatened rain, but Kierstin brought a radar and tracked the weather by the moment! We were able to have our ceremony outside because she watched and made a smart call for us. My family and friends could not stop talking about how sweet Kierstin is. We are very lucky that we found her. She really went above and beyond by sending us a video of my grandparents having their special dance (we didn't hire a videographer and this is a special moment I'm glad to have on tape) and finding and returning a special bracelet that my stepmother lost at the venue. This kind of thoughtfulness is a trademark of Kierstin's personal values and work. I would highly recommend contacting Kierstin to help create a special, tasteful, and unique wedding or event.

We started working with Kierstin about 18 months before our wedding and she was very attentive and collaborative the entire time. Her kind and calm demeanor was comforting throughout the process (which is why we chose her over other planners!!). I was very happy with her recommendations for vendors and knowledge of austin. I was thrilled with her research and the execution with decisions leading up to the wedding. The wedding day execution was also very smooth. Guests commented on the great flow and how everything was well taken care of. We were so happy that Lovely Day was able to be there early to coordinate all the moving parts. During the wedding, the transitions between outside/inside/cocktail/dinner/etc and movement of people were perfect. Nothing seemed taxing or stressful as far as schedule and execution from our side of things, which is saying a lot!!! The smoothness of the wedding definitely deserves 5 stars!! The only thing I'd say I would have changed is that I felt very stressed out on the day of the wedding, and I think I could have used a bit more reassurance that everything was awesome and wonderful and going smoothly in the moment from Lovely Day (because it definitely was!). I think Kierstin's team was very busy executing everything, but I had a lot of anxiety about the guests experience, and would have loved a little more "we got this, don't worry" vibes. (But I am an anxious person, so a lot of that probably would have been my experience no matter what!!!). Overall "Lovely" just like the name suggests!

Kierstin at Lovely Day Events helped my premiere a movie for a Seattle institution here in Austin around SXSW. The navigated a new-to-hosting venue, a film group based in Seattle who had never premiered a film and a very time-constrained me. They pulled off an excellent and beautiful event. Would recommend them 100x. Very grateful.

Carissa was our month-of-coordinator and she was the BEST! She kept us on track as we prepared for the wedding and coordinated with the vendors once our wedding date approached. She is so friendly and fun to work with and our wedding day went by seamlessly -- if there were any last minute surprises, she handled them well because we never noticed them! Carissa at Lovely Day Events was our hero!!! She made our day run so smoothly, from the moment we met a month before, all throughout our day and night. She was extremely accommodating and communicative. She checked in with us about only important things, as to not overwhelm us, and then knew when it was time for us to party and stop taking photos. People always say that at least one thing goes wrong the day of everyone's wedding but I can honestly say the day went flawlessly in my eyes! Kierstin swooped in and helped us pull together our wedding when our first planner went MIA. From the beginning, we were confident that Kierstin was trustworthy and reliable. Her upfront and honest personality combined with her excellent communication skills made working with Kierstin a joy. We are so grateful that throughout the process we could rest assured that Kierstin had our backs, and she was always thinking of every detail that we may not have. This peace of mind was invaluable to us! In addition, her assistant Carisa is equally phenomenal - very knowledgeable and studying bridal design, she was instrumental in helping with my dress and calming my nerves day-of. A fantastic team - we couldn’t have gotten through the planning (and kept our sanity) without them!

Well, the inevitable happened and it started to rain two hours before our outdoor wedding ceremony. Carissa even spent over an hour outside in the rain trying to keep the chairs dry. But ultimately Kierstin was there for us to help make the decision to call off the outdoor ceremony. It was the right call (the rain never stopped) and she and Carissa worked hard on having our plan b come together beautifully. I think our plan b may have been even more memorable and perfect than our outdoor ceremony would have been. Working with Kierstin was so easy. Her experience and knowledge was invaluable. We cannot recommend Lovely Day Events more highly.

Kierstin was a lot of fun to work with. In fact, she was the first call we made. Even though we only had her services for the month of our wedding, she was there from day one giving us helpful advice, vendor referrals and a really great way to keep track of everything in between (which means a lot for someone who's type A like me). The day of our wedding everything turned out even better than we imagined. She even used leftover flowers to create unique touches to our ceremony site that now I can't imagine our wedding without.
