Lindsey and her team are incredible! I never doubted for one second that everything would be perfect on our wedding day because of the care and attention to detail she displayed during the whole eight months we worked together. I was finishing law school during the lead-up to the wedding (not recommended!) and was sometimes terrible at keeping up with correspondence and next steps, but Lindsey was always there to keep us on track with gentle reminders and super helpful resources. Lindsey also has amazing relationships with the very best vendors in the area, which makes all the planning not only easier but also more fun! We cannot recommend Lovely Day Events highly enough! The whole wedding planning process was so easy for us thanks to Lindsey and her team. We chose Lovely Day Events because my now husband and I knew absolutely nothing about weddings, and we were able to rely on Lindsey's expertise and connections to make sure that all our needs were covered. From the very start she connected us with vendors who are truly the best in their fields, as well as our venue, which turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. She thought of everything, including services we didn't think we needed but turned out to be a huge asset on our wedding day. Lindsey and her team were exceptional. During the planning process, Lindsey made sure that nothing was missed and brought things to our attention that we would not have thought of otherwise. At first we were hesitant, but in the end her recommendations were always the best decision. In addition, we are certain that there were so many "behind the scenes" things that she did for us that helped make the process so smooth, it is hard to know just everything that goes into planning and executing such a large event. Everything was so well executed on the day of the wedding, that we could just sit back, relax, and enjoy the day with our friends and family. I am sure there were some issues that came up, however Lindsey handled them all seamlessly and never brought any problems to us. Her communication style is perfect and kept us on track the entire day - so well that we had even some downtime before the ceremony! The best wedding planner for people who "don't need a wedding planner" (spoiler alert, you do)
When my husband and I met and lived in the Bay Area but recently moved to Chicago, so when we picked our wine country venue that required a planner, we had a little anxiety about finding someone who was going to help us execute our vision from afar, while caring as much about the things that were important to us (which included staying on budget). Lindsey came highly recommended by friends of ours and after our first chat with her we knew she was the right fit!
Lindsey's knowledge and relationships with other wine country vendors are invaluable, she made recommendations that fit our needs and priorities and honestly the result was a perfect day where we could just focus on each other, our family and our guests, truly the best day ever.
We both agree that we might have to have a vow renewal just to have the opportunity to work with her again
I originally did not think I needed a wedding planner (My wedding was only about 20 people) However, it was required by our vendor. I am SO happy we had Lindsey on our team. There were so many details I would not have thought of without her. She made sure everything went smoothly from the early planning stages to the day of, even her check ins after the wedding! I was completely stress free on my wedding day and able to enjoy every minute of it thanks to Lindsey and her team!
The wedding was way beyond our expectations (which were high already)! It was such a wonderful, joy-filled, stress-free, pleasant day. Our families and guests have raved about the event and we’ve gotten so many comments about how nice the vendors were. I don’t think I’ve ever talked to a vendor at someone else’s wedding, so that’s really cool to hear.
Lindsey offered exactly the guidance we needed, from helping us select reputable and highly skilled vendors who are also wonderful people like her (trust her recommendations, you won’t regret it!) to little things like helping me figure out what kind of sunscreen wouldn’t ruin my dress or which restaurants in Napa had private space large enough for our rehearsal dinner! I didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding or even the days leading up to it. My wife and I planned a destination wedding in wine country pre-pandemic for June 2021. Any reader can imagine the turbulence and associated stress that came with the ups and downs of trying to figure out how to plan a wedding during this time. Lindsey kept us up to date regarding state and county ordinances, what we might be able to expect, and served as a strategic advisor for us as we had to make many decisions based on limited information. This role was very important, and the trust she garners with local vendors served to put us at ease knowing we would not have to course-correct many details through times of rapid change -- Lindsey handled it! She is organized, kind, a great listener, and again -- an outstanding strategic advisor. Lovely Day Events made all of the stresses of planning a wedding seem simple! We were able to answer a few questions and when the day arrived it felt like everything was out of a fairytale.
I sincerely cannot recommend Lovely Day Events enough! Lindsey seamlessly took over planning our wedding with less than one month before our big day (as you can imagine, a couple's worst nightmare unexpectedly having to secure a new wedding coordinator in less than 30 days), and most importantly she helped us feel confident that our event was under control and in the most supportive hands. We appreciate how Lindsey is so well-connected and respected in the industry, and clearly has many years of experience executing events. Lindsey brought an incredibly personal touch whenever we corresponded with her which made the entire experience feel much less business-transactional, like she truly cares about her clients. Lindsey is spectacular! We planned our whole wedding during the pandemic, which posed a myriad of challenges in addition to normal wedding stressors. Lindsey kept us calm, cool and collected the whole time. She was always on top of the latest COVID updates and was able to keep us abreast of developments as they occurred. She was seamlessly connected to all of our vendors, which was a huge source of relief as we navigated the uncertainties of wedding planning in 2020. Most notably, she ran the tightest ship imaginable during the wedding weekend! Lindsey continually checked in with both of us and our parents, made sure all our needs were met, and executed every detail with precision. If there were any issues during the weekend, we never got wind of them. Many of our guests have reached out to us in the days after the festivities to tell us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to, and that is due in no small part to Lindsey. She is truly one of a kind, and we can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone in search of a planner in the area!
Lindsey is such a rock star! She is incredibly organized and flexible. We always felt supported by her and that she was willing to go with whatever vision we had for our wedding. Lindsey replanned our entire wedding in 4 days after California experienced a very unexpected and late storm this past May. Lindsey was the only reason we were able to plan our perfect weekend for 150 guests from Denver, CO. We both work a lot but had the vision for our wedding clear. Lindsey understood our vibe and made the vision not only reality, but spectacularly more than what we could have even envisioned our weekend to be. Our venue choice of Gundlach Bundschu was special to us and it also called for a long list of vendors to make it happen. Her advice throughout the entire process and over our wedding weekend was priceless. I am beyond in debt to her for creating a unique and unforgettable weekend for every single person that attended. It was very important to us that our guests put intention behind the weekend to reconnect with those that they love and to find some true "Michelle and Kevin" style reprieve. We spent our Sunday catching up with guests at a farewell brunch and learned that Lindsey achieved that with flying colors...so much fun was had and so many important connections bonded tightly again. We have had SO many people say these very words to us: "That was by far the best wedding I have ever been to. Class all the way." My heart is full of love, admiration and appreciation beyond words.

If planning a wedding wasn't enough, throw in a cross country move, a broken foot, and new jobs. Looking back, I sometimes question how we did it, but the easy answer is Lindsey. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we were 100% satisfied with every aspect of our wedding weekend. When we had concerns about a vendor, she made sure we had a Plan B and C lined up, to put any uncertainty to rest. Lindsey from Lovely Day Events was the most amazing wedding planner to work with. Despite us being 9000 miles away while planning the wedding, she helped us pull off the perfect evening. I discovered Lindsey on the Knot and connected with her through email. She was extremely friendly and gave me the most practical advice at every step even before I chose her as my planner. My fiancee and I were very busy with work leading up to the wedding, but Lindsey's facetime calls, emails, and meticulous planning kept us on track. Ashley was so amazing in her recommendations for our wedding and her incredible help! Our photographer, bakery, florist, and hotel blew us away! For our Jackson Hole wedding, we worked remotely with Lindsey and on-site with Olivia--and both were amazing (as human beings and as wedding planners)!! We planned a small wedding just sixth months in advance, and it absolutely could not have happened without Lindsey's guidance. We still had a chance to "work" on the wedding--selecting vendors, picking flowers, and such--but we had the peace of mind that Lindsey would ensure we stayed on track, and she was able to provide helpful recommendations whenever we reached a roadblock or couldn't reach a decision on our own. Our little wedding with furry and human family alike turned out as beautifully as we could have hoped, and we can't wait to relive the memories in years to come. I had zero worries on my wedding day.

As an event planner by profession, I was skeptical when our venue told me they required a day of coordinator on site the day of our wedding. I was so looking forward to finally taking the reigns on my own personal event, and was hesitant to involve a planner.
A friend had previously worked with Lindsey and in hindsight, it was such a saving grace to have her! Lindsey worked with us throughout the process and was so helpful at keeping the timeline on track, providing knowledge and insight about our unique destination (Jackson, WY) and helped keep me grounded throughout the process.

Lindsey was hired as our day-of coordinator in Jackson, Wyoming. It seems as if she and I (as the bride) were sharing the same brain at some points! Despite my "control freak" nature, I had absolutely no problem handing over control to Lindsey on wedding day. She handled our detailed timeline and dozens of vendors as if it were her own wedding. Lindsey and her team are absolutely the best! From day one, she understood my vision and was very responsive to my unique needs and requests. (Planning from afar is not always the easiest!) She was always making suggestions based upon what she felt would make my day a success and I can't imagine how it would have turned out without them! She is detailed but not overbearing, a perfect teammate for a day of planner. I never felt like she was just saying what I wanted to hear - she was realistic but never said anything was impossible. Her staff is friendly and accommodating, definitely people you WANT at your wedding! I couldn't have done it without her.
I could not speak more highly of the team at Lovely Day Events. I was in need of a 'day of coordinator plus some' for our wedding in Teton Valley, Idaho, and after doing a lot of shopping around, I felt so sure my husband and I made the right choice after speaking with Lindsey on the phone. There is no way that our wedding day could have run more smoothly, and I attribute a lot of this to our coordinator, Sandra, and all of the amazing documents that Lovely Day provides for wedding preparation. They checked up with me as the year progressed, and I had multiple phone conversations, emails, and shared google documents that kept everything organized. The first thing I tell people when I hear they are engaged is to get a wedding planner, and if they are getting married in the Sonoma, Napa, or Jackson Hole area, I already have one for them! Lindsey, at Lovely Day Events, was the smartest and best value of money we spent on our wedding. I don’t know what we would have did without her. Lindsey did a phenomenal job!
After our initial call, she listened to what we were looking for and absolutely nailed the venue (her number 1 venue for us, is where we got married). At this point, she had my full attention and all of my trust. We are from out of town and didn’t have a ton of time to look or shop around for vendors, so I asked her if this was her wedding, who would she use, and every vendor she recommended was who we used, and we were not disappointed. All these vendors worked seamless together, which we know was an attribute of all the hard work and time Lindsey has put into these working relationships and why she recommended them.
Lindsey listened to everything we were looking for in a wedding, and she made it happened. Because of the trust that Lindsey and I were able to build, it gave me comfort to give Lindsey full control and she made a lot of decisions for me and she had creative control. I knew she understood what we were looking for, and she would know how to execute it much better than I would.
Our wedding was beautiful, elegant, romantic, and as much fun as only one could dream. Lindsey did an amazing job and couldn’t have put together the wedding we had without all her help, suggestions, and mastermind. We are still getting compliments from our guest on how this was the best wedding they have been too and the most fun they have ever had at a wedding, which is awesome!

Do not underestimate the value and importance of having a wedding planner. Along the way, we had monthly check-ins to make sure the planning was going smoothly, but the most helpful were the two onsite meetings. We walked through each detail together and Lindsey provided us with suggestions and guidance for items that weren't even on our radar. When the week of our wedding arrived, she reached out to each vendor to coordinate our timeline and confirm their roles in the wedding. She facilitated the rehearsal with ease and got us prepared for our big day. She and her assistant (Katie) arrived promptly at 10AM and took care of all the details. She executed our vision with precision and didn't bring any unnecessary stress to the bride on what can be a really stressful day. I can't recommend Lindsey and Lovely Day Events enough - thank you for making our day so wonderful!
When our daughter said she wanted a wedding planner we did not think she needed one and besides, it wasn’t in the budget. Thank goodness she did not take this advice! Having a planner, and choosing Lindsey Nickel of Lovely Day Events, was the best decision we ever made. From the phone meetings, to the rehearsal, to the big day, Lindsey was invaluable. Of all the vendors we hired, Lindsey was by far the most important. She thought of EVERY detail; she determined the timeline down to the minute. She ran our rehearsal efficiently, 12 minutes to be precise, and throughout the process she was light-hearted, organized, and so amazingly calm. On the wedding day she and her assistant Katie arrived bright and early in their sneakers, ready for action. There was absolutely NOTHING for us to do. (In fact, we were so bored that we went next door to wine taste 2 hours before the ceremony!) None of us, including the bride, got wedding day nerves and this is only because we had Lindsey running the show. When the guests arrived, Lindsey and Katie had changed into their wedding attire, and spent the next 5 hours invisibly and energetically flitting from here to there taking care of EVERY single detail. Our Beltane Ranch wedding ended at 10 pm (a Sonoma county ordinance) but Lindsey and Katie stayed until everything was cleaned up and placed in the predetermined places. When we left the next day everything (flowers/gifts/etc) were in one place. All this to say that if you are looking for the BEST WEDDING PLANNER in the state, be sure to call LINDSEY NICKEL OF LOVELY DAY EVENTS.
