Lack of communication and unprofessionalism from Lauren made it stressful in planning and day of.
The Lowell is was the perfect place for our reception. They were responsive to questions and very helpful along the way. The space was beautiful and the included outdoor patio was great! The food was wonderful! I would recommend the Lowell Inn to anyone looking to have a wedding in the Stillwater area.
Amy and the team did SUCH a great job with our wedding! I was a little frustrated in the planning process because it felt like emails weren't being seen, but when I called to talk to them they were so on top of it and pleasant to work with. The venue is beautiful and the food was AMAZING (I'm still hearing about how much our guests liked the hassle back potatoes). We had guests with serious dietary restrictions and severe allergies, and the venue was very communicative and helpful with making sure we were able to accommodate everyone. Amy, Lisa, Katie, and Paula made everything so seamless in the planning and event process for both our rehearsal dinner and the wedding, and they were all so kind to us when we were staying there. If I could give them 10 stars I would!
We had our rehearsal dinner and hotel rooms for the wedding weekend at the Lowell Inn. I want to start off by saying that the Lowell Inn is just absolutely beautiful, we loved all of the character! The staff was friendly and assisted us with early check-ins due to wedding event conflicts. Additionally, the rooms were very nice and comfortable. For the rehearsal dinner the food was great and the room was beautiful! Communication leading up to the big day was a bit spotty. There was also not a ton of direction or communication during our event which meant that my husband and I had to coordinate a lot of the evening instead of just enjoying ourselves. Overall, we would recommend the Lowell Inn!
The Lowell and staff did a wonderful job with our family wedding event in August. Staff was very good, food very nice, they worked well with everyone to the best of my knowledge during the course of planning and the wedding/reception itself. Very convenience location and pretty setting. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to any couple looking for a unique site. We also stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and were pleased with all!

This venue promised everything and delivered little. We were very disappointed in our wedding reception. After spending thousands of dollars on decorations the staff started tearing down our tables at 9:30 pm although we had the venue until 10:30 pm . The staff was rude beyond belief and our grooms dinner was awkward. The bar was not stocked with enough alcohol even though we pre bought with a large deposit. Some of our decorations went missing even though we had a decorator scheduled to arrive after the reception ended to clean up. We sent several emails and made several phone calls after the wedding to try to resolve some of the issues and nobody would return our calls. We ordered 7 kids meals in addition to our buffet dinner and they came out an hour after the buffet was served and after the dance started the kids were so hungry ! We were told we would get a refund and two weeks later we still have not received a refund. They are short staffed and unable to properly handle a large wedding. A family member of the venue sits at the entrance to the reception center and chain smokes causing cigarette smoke to fill the banquet center every time somebody enters the room not to mention you have to walk through a cloud of smoke just to enter from the parking garage I asked if we could do anything About this situation and I got told nope it’s a family member they have carte blanche they can do whatever they want. We had two meat choices on our dinner buffet and the beef tenderloin was extremely undercooked it was almost rare and the outside edges of it were extremely tough and chewy many people did not eat it it was not cooked properly it was rushed I asked about that as well to the venue and the response was the staff ate it and thought it was delicious so whatever is left over the staff gets to eat for what you paid for. I asked for no water carafes on the table because we had children and did not want to risk having a spill but they put the water carafes on the tables anyways many of our guests had to ask for coffee when we were told and promised that coffee would be passed by staff as well as water and it was not. We supplied disposable plates napkins and silverware for the dessert bar and we supplied all of our own table linens and decorations so the staff really truly had less work to do than normal but even with that they were tearing down our linens and our tables around us as we were trying to enjoy the last hour of our reception and dance it was very awkward. I ordered a bottle of Moscato wine for our head table and a bottle of house champagne was placed instead so I had to chase down the staff to get it fixed. We were charged for both since it had been opened! They simply do not care! Nor do they pay attention to detail which is the most important part of deciding on a venue if you ask me because you have to care to get the details right. I had to pay for the items that the staff misplaced and never should have touched in the first place. I would not recommend this venue to anyone.
The Lowell inn is beautiful! We booked our rehearsal dinner at the Garden Room at The Lowell inn. The evening was perfect and the staff was very kind! Also, the food was amazing. We loved our experience here.
Had my wedding reception here in September and they were great to work with! The food was wonderful and the staff was so helpful to make our day the best! They have redone the flooring and some décor- looks fabulous!
I was so happy with having my wedding reception at the Lowell!! The Garden and Matterhorn rooms have historic character and accommodated my smaller wedding of around 90 people. The staff were excellent to work with, and were very responsive and informative.
I had so many compliments from my guests on how delicious the food was, and the sheet cake I ordered for the guests was actually more delicious than our wedding cake. My pictures turned out amazing, as the historic rooms were gorgeous for the backdrop. We didn't have dancing, as the rooms don't allow it, but we are not dancers and played bingo instead! We planned a bar crawl for after the reception where there was dancing - which we didn't have to pay for :)
I highly recommend it, as it was a reasonable cost, very unique, and the service was reliable and professional, and we had a great time!!
