be. It is industrial, super close to the pulse of downtown San Diego, and has all the possibility in the world in allowing you to customize your event exactly the way you imagined. From the moment we decided to move forward, Zack (point of contact) was ready and available to answer all of our logistical questions as well as offer great advice on vendors and caterers that have done work in the space before. The space was affordable and it is yours for 24 hours, which helps with setting up and tearing down before and after your event. A parking structure is also located directly across the street and on our particular event, there was a Padre game, which forced us to complete with the parking a little bit but you can pre-purchase parking passes ahead of time. We had INCREDIBLE wedding planners (Beau & Arrow) who helped us envision the look and feel of the event and manipulated the space to reflect that. Luce Loft is essentially a blank slate that allows you to do whatever you want. We wanted ours to be a complete juxtaposition between masculine (industrial look and feel of the Luce Loft) while having soft and feminine touches (white draping with uplighting, beautiful white couches, and chairs). Catering can be tough but we opted for a food truck which is how a lot of events work at Luce Loft. We hired Curiosity Catering and it was a hit! The options were tray passed in tandem with offerings outside of the truck as well (if people wanted more of something). People couldn't compliment them or the food enough! The whole experience with Luce Loft, from start to finish, was incredibly unique - definitely NOT a traditional wedding reception. That was, however, EXACTLY what we were looking for in our wedding and our reception. The space is open to interpretation, the location is central and close to all these iconically San Diego places - Gaslamp, Petco Park, hotels, ect., and all of the vendors and companies we worked made our event that much more special.
