From the very beginning, my experience with Luna was unique and personal. The questionnaire I filled out before my appointment made me feel as though my style and ideas were important, and would be understood. When I arrived, I did not feel pressured, and the shop was absolutely gorgeous. I was free to explore, and a trunk show had been left up for me in addition to the staple shop dresses. I found my wedding dress here!
Honestly, as someone who has struggled to feel like I fit in with “wedding culture” at all, Luna was a place where I felt like I could be myself. Erin is wonderful and easy to communicate with. If you are concerned at all about COVID, she has taken great care and very serious protocol in regard to her shop and your experience. I will always remember my time finding my dress, and I’m so glad it was with Luna.
This was the most amazing experience. I was referred to Luna before I was engaged and fell in love with her store . Once I was finally engaged, this was the first place I went dress shopping. I was drawn to the Rue de Seine line, which she carries. These are some of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen. Erin is incredibly knowledgeable, personable and just a wonderful human. My fear and stress of trying dresses on, since I am large size, melted away. Everything I shimmied, jumped, and slipped into she made me feel incredible. If I could give her 10 stars out of 5 I would. I feel so fortunate to have shared my "moment" with her and her store.
I was lucky enough to be able to shop a designer-specific trunk show at Luna in late 2018. I had only done online shopping and browsing before visiting Luna, but the Anais Annette trunk show specifically brought me in to visit, and I am so glad I did because my dress was unlike anything I had seen previously. For my upcoming May wedding, I was cutting it close with timing, but Erin was informative and kept in close contact with me throughout the waiting period. The variety of unique gowns and the ambiance of the shop was great. I would recommend Erin and her team to any bride looking for something unique in the Pittsburgh area.
I can’t say enough great things about Erin! I came in to shop for my dress in January 2019. I was a little intimidated booking my appointment because I am plus size but I’m so glad I did! I was surprised at the number of larger dresses she had to try! Her shop at the time was above Lex and Lynn and in the temporary location but was still so cute and so intimate. I told her a little bit about me and my style but that I really wasn’t sure what kind of dress I wanted and had been teetering between something super BoHo and something very plain and simple. My friends and I looked at a few dresses while Erin pulled a few recommendations of her own. The variety of dresses here is unlike anything I’ve seen in other shops. She’s got a phenomenal mix of both unique and classic styles and designers that you can’t find elsewhere in Pittsburgh. I ended up falling in love with the first Rue De Seine I tried on. Even though the sample dress was a little bit small Erin was able to make some adjustments and show me what the dress would look like when fitted properly. She was calm and laid back, we well as patient as I tried on a few more and then went back to the first dress. After I purchased the dress she gave me a realistic and accurate timeline of when it would be in. I ended up emailing Erin while I waited for my dress to come in and asked for some other vendor recommendations and went with a photographer she recommended as well as a seamstress and loved both. My dress was truly my dream dress. It was everything I wanted on my day and I got so many compliments. To top it off Erin just gives the best customer service from the time you walk in for your first try on to after you pick up your dress and have your wedding day. Thank you Erin for helping me feel like a goddess on my wedding day!
Erin and Luna Boutique are seriously a 10/10 and take customer service to the next level.
I used to live in Pgh but recently moved away. When I saw that they would be hosting a trunk show with a designer that I’ve been following, I emailed Luna Boutique to see if my best friend, who still lives in Pittsburgh, could come by for a quick trip to take a look at a specific bridal bodysuit. Erin answered me within a few hours and was able to fit my friend in for an appointment on my behalf that same weekend. After my friend’s appointment, I called Erin and she answered all of my questions right away.
She was professional, extremely accommodating, knowledgeable, genuinely friendly, and did not pressure me at all. I didn’t end up making the purchase due to my own indecisiveness but I can’t speak highly enough of Erin and Luna Boutique.
It was such a joy picking out my dress at Luna Boutique and working with Erin! She was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable picking out a dress. Erin helped me choose options that reflected my personality and vision for my wedding. I was nervous to find something I felt confident in, but I walked away with a dress I was truly in love with. I got married on July 13, 2019 and got so many compliments on it! I would highly recommend Luna Boutique to anyone looking for a wedding dress. The whole environment at Luna focuses on helping each individual feel confident and beautiful!
I visited Erin and the Luna team when they were still Glitter and Grit in Lawrenceville. Erin is a pleasure to work with and really takes the time to understand what your individual style is. I had a general idea of what I wanted in a dress, and Erin helped me try several in that range. I ended up not loving the way my initial idea (think Carolyn Kennedy slip dress) actually looked on me, so she encouraged me to try a few styles that were slightly different but still fit my style - without pressuring me to try anything I didn't want to. The dress I ended up choosing was strapless, and Erin suggested purchasing additional material and adding sleeves. She also recommended accessories (belt and earrings). The experience shopping for my dress was relaxed and fun from beginning to end. There were no hiccups even when they moved from Lawrenceville to Sewickley between buying and picking up my dress. The final look was so perfect!
It was the perfect experience. This was my first time trying on any wedding dress and let me tell you I was in love with all of them. This boutique has a dress for anyone's style. Erin was so great and so patient with me (took me a while to make a final choice lol), she even had dresses already picked out for me to try on. I ended up falling in love with the very first dress I tried on. She is truly amazing at what she does and would highly recommend going here to find that perfect dress!
Luna Boutique is the cream of the absolute crop! Not only is the shop itself absolutely stunning (a converted old bank in beautiful Sewickely, swoon!), but the product is high quality and unique! But most of all, the customer service was incredible! I went to 11 different dress shops to find something unique for my wedding (I ended up wearing a pant suit) and Erin was the only shop owner to deliver and to make me feel like a special bride! Her style, professionalism, personality, and willingness to work with you is unmatched! She listens to everything you say and does all she can to make your dreams come true!
After my initial visit, she sent me a personal thank you card which made me feel so welcomed, and I hadn't even purchased anything from her yet! We ended up purchasing our wedding jewelry and our mother of the bride dress from Luna as well because it is the only bridal/ evening gown shop to offer such different options (and believe me, I have been to almost every bridal shop in the Pittsburgh area!) I can't say enough about Erin and her shop. Her options are endless and her prices are fair. After my wedding she sent me a personal congratulations card and a gift, are you kidding me!?! Can you be any more thoughtful? Do yourself a favor and visit Luna for all of your bridal and evening dress needs, you will not be disappointed!
I purchased my wedding gown at the previous partner location, Glitter & Grit. The entire process was all I ever imagined it to be and more. Having the store to yourself as you search for a gown is a wonderful feature. There’s no pressure, or judgement, from other brides or shoppers in the store, it’s just you and those you want by your side! Plus, the team really gets to understand what you’re looking for. After finding THE gown, a Rebecca Schnoveld, I went to one other salon before returning to buy the gown during a trunk show. After purchasing, Erin reached out to let me know that based on my measurements, the gown could be tweaked a bit to better fit my shape. This attention to detail simply doesn’t happen at larger salons! I can’t thank the team enough for helping me find my dream dress!
I didn't end up getting my dress at Luna, but I can't say enough about how wonderful of an experience I had here! This was the first bridal shop I visited, and I never once felt overwhelmed. Both the owner and the style who helped me were friendly and made me feel at east, suggested styles and creative options based on what dresses and feedback I had, and never once were pushy or made me feel rushed. I could not have asked for a more personalized, stress-free, and magical appointment! Not to mention the boutique itself is stunning!
Erin was absolutely amazing! I originally went to Glitter and Grit because they carried the designer I loved and when we arrived for my appointment I was so happy. The appointment was private with just Erin and my family and she got to know us and my wants. My dress was actually four separate pieces Erin helped put together and I fell in love. Not only did she help me get the perfect dress she also sent me a thank you for coming to her store and then a gift after we got married! I highly recommend Erin and her beautiful store to get your wedding dress!
Everything about this place is perfect!! The help was fantastic, the setting is amazing and the dress selection is a brides dream. I was able to have the whole store to myself and my guests to try on as many dresses as I wanted ( although I found my perfect dress after only 4) I cannot commend the staff enough for making my experience amazing! This place is truly one of a kind a perfect place to find the dress of your dreams
Luna Boutique has a dress for everyone — I went in very open minded with a few pictures of dresses I saved from Pinterest. The stylist instantly had an idea in mind and picked 3 dresses for me, one of which I ‘said yes’ to! I could’ve honestly bought 5 dresses there Their styles are definitely “boutique-like” and not the typical bridal dress. Awesome experience- Hughes
Luna Boutique is so stunning. I previously had been to Glitter and Grit. The store was beautiful, but Luna is such a grand version of that with a division of occasseion wear that you can browse any time. Bridal appointments are individual and Nikk made me feel like such a star deciding on my dress. She brought up realistic concerns about both my day and vision that really helped me choose a dress.
There aren't enough good things I can say about my shopping experience at Luna. The experience is unlike any other in Pittsburgh and makes you feel truly special. Bridal is single appointments only; meaning you are the only bride there. I worked with the owner, Erin. Unlike most bridal consultants she had hip style and laid back demeanor. She listened exactly what I wanted and made me feel beautiful before even leaving the dressing room. Even when members of my family had opinions she stayed solely focused on me and what I wanted. The dress selection can't be found anywhere else in our city. Small designers, high quality, unconventional l. It vibed with my own style and I was easily able find the perfect dress (celebrated with a bottle of champagne). I wanted to look like Stevie Nicks and somehow was able to achieve that . Thank you Erin & Luna for the best experience.

I purchased my dress while Erin and her team were still at Glitter and Grit. I loved the one on one time with them during my private session and was so amazed by the selection of classy wedding dresses they had in the store. Each time I went in they were so kind and helpful compared to other dress shops I had visited. One of my favorite parts of my wedding day was wearing that gorgeous dress! Thanks again!!!
I cannot say enough good things about Glitter & Grit (Luna Boutique)! I selected my dress and picked it up while Glitter & Grit was still open but I am sure that their new store Luna is equally as gorgeous! Erin, her team, and the store in general were completely different than any of the other wedding dress shops I went to. I LOVE the idea that you could book your appointment online and it was completely private. It made dress shopping so much more enjoyable and personal. The girls were all extremely patient with me while deciding between dresses and they offered advice whenever asked. After shopping at multiple stores, I felt exhausted and as if I would not find my perfect dress until Glitter & Grit came along. I loved so much of their selection that it was actually difficult to choose one dress. I ended up choosing an Anais Anette lace dress that was absolutely stunning. In addition, Glitter & Grit (Luna Boutique) works with a seamstress, Colleen Bankovich, who is SO talented as well. I could not recommend Luna Boutique and the whole team ENOUGH and I was so pleased with their service!
I got my dress at Glitter & Grit, just before Luna had opened, but mostly this review is for how awesome Erin is anyway!
Dreading the idea of going to David’s Bridal (no offense, just not for me!), I thought that I would have to travel to NYC to find my wedding dress. Then one fateful day, just a month after my engagement, I saw the most gorgeous wedding dresses hanging in a store window on Butler Street. I literally pulled over, got out of my car to read the name Glitter & Grit and booked my appointment online right then and there. Spoiler alert: Never did book a trip to NYC.
From the second my mom, sister, and I walked in on the day of my appointment, I was in love. First, it was just us in the store, at free will to try on every dress with the help of Erin and two assistants!!! I filled out a form online when I booked the appointment, a questionnaire all about how I envisioned my perfect dress and how I wanted to feel the day of my wedding. Erin was already on top of it with a handful of dresses pulled to the side for me, but also let me take the time to grab any other dress too. I really did want to try on every dress in the store! Ironically, I chose the first dress I tried on that day! And I don’t think this was on accident, as I remember Erin’s assistant specifically grabbing it first as we walked into the dressing room. (And in case you were wondering, it was the least expensive gown.) It was literally just PERFECT. I felt like Erin and her team took to heart understanding me and how I envisioned my perfect dress. I am so glad we found the dress at Erin’s, because I don’t think we could have had a better experience!
On the day of the wedding, I got so many compliments on how beautifully unique my dress was and how PERFECT it was for me. I even had a handful of people ask me if I had it made for me! Well it kind of felt like it! I felt like a rockstar in my dress!
Erin is the BEST, and she will take the time to get to know you as a bride, and truly help you find the most perfect dress. The experience is truly unmatched in Pittsburgh as well as her collection of dresses. Seriously go to Luna first, you will love it!!!
Thank you Erin!!! Love, Janel
I visited Luna Boutique today to get a status update on the jumpsuit I had ordered over the phone with them back in March.
After addressing the issues I had with my order to the owner, she offered little explanation of my bill and dismissed me pretty quickly.
As a high priced boutique, I would think they would treat their customers with better attention and respect of their questions and concerns. I am not one to write reviews, but after leaving their store, I actually regretted purchasing their clothing and now I'm not even looking forward to the outfit when it arrives. Definitely not a good experience with the owner and would not shop here again.
Ended up not buying my dress here but Erin is wonderful both here and at Luna
I had the most wonderful experience shopping for my gown at Glitter & Grit! Glitter & Grit is a beautiful and charming place that is perfect for an intimate, precious moment in a girl's life. I'm so glad I got my gown at Glitter & Grit! :)
I had an amazing experience - it was very personal and Erin was not pushy at all. I love my dress and intend on altering it so I can wear it again!
I went to two large bridal shops before Glitter & Grit and tried on countless dresses. I felt completely indifferent about most, as they were typical dresses (e.g., tight, sparkly, mermaid cut). I decided to check out this one last place and I was in heaven- private appointments only, with a select number of dresses, all unique. I bought the first dress I tried on and a necklace to go with it. It felt like me and I loved it so much. I would highly recommend Glitter & Grit who is looking for something different.
Erin is a dream! I loved everything about my experience with her at Glitter & Grit. I went to this small, beautiful boutique because I was looking for something unique and not "traditional" for my wedding dress. Erin gave me just enough choices to have options, but not feel overwhelmed. From the second I stepped into Glitter & Grit Erin made me feel comfortable and important. She never rushed me or put pressure on me to make a decision or a purchase. She was so kind and helpful and ultimately helped me find the most perfect dress for my wedding day. I seriously cannot recommend Glitter & Grit enough. I wish I could shop there with Erin all the time!
Recommend 100 times as this was the best experience ever. I know 2 other girls who went to see Erin and said "I'm just trying on dresses" and they've come out with their dream dress. I not only love the store but Erin was so great. Highly recommend trying Glitter and Grit even if it's to just try on your first dress. You'll love it!
I had the most amazing experience selecting my gown from Glitter and Grit--I even drove from Cleveland to purchase it. Erin works with incredibly talented designers and I was lucky enough to attend a trunk show when my favorite designer, Rebecca Shoneveld, was in town and assisted in the selection of my dress. Even though I did not fit perfectly into the sample sizes, never once did Erin make me feel like one of the dresses I tried on could not be made to fit me perfectly as she is so incredibly kind and thoughtful. I was able to find the perfect dress and Rebecca was there to redesign the bodice for me. My wedding was this past weekend and I'm still walking on air, but I cannot tell you how many compliments I received on my beautiful and unique gown. Thank you, Erin--you are one in a million!
I'm so happy with my experience at Glitter & Grit. I knew I wanted a more original wedding gown. When I found this place, I knew it was the right one for me! I tried on about 10 dresses, and every single one was perfect in it's own way! I ended up choosing a Daalarna Couture wedding gown and it was exactly what I had always dreamed of wearing on my wedding day. Erin & Rachel were so amazingly kind and made my bridesmaids, family and me feel so welcome. When I came home from my wedding weekend, I even had a small congratulatory gift from Erin at my door step. I cannot recommend Glitter & Grit enough!
I fell in love with the dresses in this shop online. My appointment was a great experience, my friends and family accompanied me and Erin and her staff were very nice. The boutique has just the right amount of dresses to peruse. I had my "this is the one" moment and cannot wait to wear my dress next summer at my wedding.
After a NIGHTMARE experience at a different Pittsburgh-based bridal salon, I called Glitter & Grit in a panic last week (7 weeks before my wedding) to see if there was anything they could do to help me. I needed to find an entirely new dress and was supposed to be moving out of the city the same day it became clear that there was no way I would be able to wear the gown that I originally bought at the other store. I was really upset and knew there was no way that I would be able to order a gown. The ladies at Glitter & Grit bent over backwards to help me. After I explained my situation, they squeezed me into a 30 minute appointment and managed to find a few dresses that they could potentially sell off the rack. It was clear that this is not something that they normally do and they had the perfect dress waiting for me upon arrival. A review really does not do justice to their kindness and empathy. They went out of their way to help a bride-to-be in wedding crisis mode and if it weren't for this boutique I wouldn't have a dress. I wish I had shopped here from the beginning! Best shopping experience (of any kind) that I've ever had! I would give them 6 stars if I could.
What an awesome shop!!! The owner Erin is excellent, she found me a dress in 30 mins. She saw photos of what I liked and made it happen. Not only was Erin great the store was warm and inviting! I would recommend to anyone.
Erin is amazing! No stress and such a relaxing atmosphere!
Yes! Everything was perfect about Glitter and Grit. We showed up and they closed the store... It was a personal experience and was completely all about me (what every bride wants). I was blown away by how it seemed like a small store but there were so many selections. From trying dress on to the final dress fitting... Everything was perfect. Thank you Glitter and Grit for giving me my dream dress.
Rachel takes time to get to know you! She really cares about your vision and budget!
Even though I ended up purchasing my wedding gown from another bridal salon, I can't say enough good things about Glitter & Grit! They were my very first bridal salon appointment, and everything was truly exceptional. We had the store all to ourselves, allowed to roam free and choose anything in the shop to try on. We had a store attendant just for us who was friendly, attentive. They even sent me a sweet thank you note a few days after my appointment to thank me for stopping in, even though I walked away undecided without purchasing anything. After visiting 3 other salons, I must say their service is exceptional...completely stress free, relaxed, and fun. They do not pressure you at all, or try to make a sale by saying "if you buy today I'll throw in your veil free" or "alterations at a discount if you decide today," which was my experience at other salons. I appreciate SO much that they didn't pressure me, as I'm rather indecisive and those sorts of comments make me uncomfortable. I think I had the best experience overall at Glitter & Grit, even over the other the salon that I eventually purchased my dress from. The gown selection is beautiful and so unique, but I ended up choosing another dress because it was exactly what I was looking for...and had G&G had this dress, I would have bought it there. Definitely GO!! I can't recommend them enough!
Where do I even start? I’ll start with the obvious: Glitter & Grit is the best bridal boutique in Pittsburgh. Maybe even the United States!
Why is it so special?
The Experience! Erin, the owner of Glitter & Grit, rolls out the white carpet for every bride.
Before the appointment: She makes you feel special from the moment you connect with her boutique. Their website makes it easy to schedule an appointment online and a text message is sent to your phone two days prior as a friendly reminder.
During the appointment: If you haven’t seen Glitter & Grit, take a stroll on Butler Street in Lawrenceville and peek in one of their large windows to see for yourself. The space is gorgeous. Modern but also very romantic. When you walk in, wedding gowns for every shape and size line the walls. Vintage bride, Bohemian bride, Classic bride, Glam bride – there’s something for everyone elegantly displayed.
Did you know that you have the ENTIRE boutique to yourself when trying on dresses? I can’t tell you how nice it is to walk out to only see your family and friends (Mother of the Bride, Maid of Honor, and Flower Girl) snuggled up on an antique sofa. It makes the experience so special – and totally relaxed.
Erin let us walk through the boutique and pick out bridal gowns that I was drawn towards. She also used her bridal expertise and brought along pieces that I would have never thought to pick for myself.
I didn’t find my dress the first time I visited but I kept in touch with Erin via email and she recommended that I attend a few bridal trunk shows (Note: Trunk shows are listed on www.glitterandgritpgh.com/. Bridal designers include: Rebecca Schoneveld, Tara La Tour, Daughters of Simone, Lilian Wild, and more!) She was so helpful – and even suggested pieces from each designer that she thought I might like. Talk about great customer service!
I returned for the Rebecca Schoneveld trunk show and sorted through her 2017 Bridal Collection. Rebecca Schoneveld creates custom wedding dresses so you pick elements that work best for you! I chose an ivory bodice with a flowy A-line skirt and a long-sleeve lace top. Erin also added a beaded belt, complete with pearls and gems, which added the perfect shimmer and tied in our gold wedding theme.
Rebecca Schnoneveld is also going to customize the long-sleeve lace top to feature a keyhole – turning the more conservative wedding dress into a fun and flirty wedding dress. Plus, the price point was totally reasonable (even with alterations) keeping me well within our wedding budget.
Oh, and... Glitter & Grit also sells every bridal accessory you can imagine – from veils, to bridal jewelry, to bridal headbands! I scooped up some gold hair clips that match the belt perfectly!
Another great moment: Erin didn’t mind one bit when I climbed behind a row of dresses to create a Boomerang video of my “Say Yes to the Dress” moment. Anything for the bride
I can’t wait to come back in a few months to try on my completely customized wedding dress. Thank you Glitter & Grit for creating such a memorable wedding gown shopping experience!
Hands down the best shopping experience and assortment of chic, unique dresses in Pittsburgh! I really wanted a dress that reflected my style and personality and every dress at Glitter & Grit is absolutely GORGEOUS! Erin and her staff are awesome and extremely helpful. They really want you to find the dress that works for you (style, color, price etc.).
Very unique boutique. Erin is very sweet. Actually followed up with me and fit me in when she had a cancellation. Her selection of gowns are classy, simple and unique. I particularly found her selection of designer dresses from lesser known designers very cool. My favorite dress was one which she actually "built" for me from 3 separate pieces. While I did not select my dress from this store, I'd highly recommend this location to women looking for something different, simple and elegant.
Love, love, love glitter & grit. I am SO happy there is a place like this in Pittsburgh. I was losing hope and thinking I would have to go to New York to find a dress that was simple and more me. Glitter and Grit was so great to work with and dealt with me very calm when I thought I made a mistake.
I bought my wedding dress from here a year before my wedding. Erin was amazing throughout the whole process and not pushy at all. She let my sisters and I walk through and pick out dresses right off of the rack. You get to have a very intimate experience picking out your dress, which made my decision so much easier!
Shopping for a wedding dress was a stressful experience for my daughter and the assorted ladies who accompanied her through several different trying-on sessions in her search. She had found one or two pretty ones that would have been fine, but none of them was exactly right or knocked her socks off, and she just couldn't bring herself to say yes to one. So our expectations were low when we went to Glitter and Grit. But what a difference! First, the shop is adorable and comfortable, with cool, relaxing music and great seating. And when you're there, you're the only one there, so it's private and personal. And then there's Erin, who dresses the bride and then helps her figure out if that dress meets her vision of herself. No pushing, no gushing. No "jacking" up with veil and accessories until you think it's the right dress. Not to knock the other stores, because they did have some nice dresses, but there were just too many--they felt like warehouses and they were overwhelming. Erin's collection is just wide enough to provide some really great diversity in styles and fabrics--and the fabrics are superior to anything we saw in the other stores. The designers she carries are smaller and less commercial. Also, the styles are very elegant and classic, not heavy and dripping with tacky bling. So instead of finding a dress, the dress found my daughter. And at the same price point as the big box stores--which surprised us. I was prepared for sticker shock. We literally jumped for joy after we left the shop, having found the perfect dress and placed the order! Can't wait until her dress comes in! Now I know where we'll go FIRST when my younger daughter needs a wedding dress!
Absolutely, hands-down recommend Erin at Glitter and Grit for your wedding gown, especially if you're like me and want something unique and different from the traditional "trends." The appointments are just you and your family, so you get the private experience. Erin helped me with mine, and I must have tried on 20 dresses! She was patient, kind and so helpful. It was an amazing experience, and I was even sad to pick up my dress because I knew that meant my trips to Glitter & Grit would be no more :(. On my wedding day, many of my friends and family commented on how they had never seen a dress like mine before and how stunning it was! I chose a Flora and Lane dress, and I kept it on as long as I absolutely could. Thank you, Erin, for everything.
This boutique was such a fun find and I needed it more than anything after a horrible experience at my bridal salon. The owner was so friendly and you could tell she genuinely loved her job in the wedding industry. She was able to order and have my accessories available in nearly half the time some salons can. If you're looking for unique dresses or accessories, make a day of Butler Street and stop in if you can!
First off, this shop is absolutely adorable. Very intimate shopping experience with my mom, sister, and my friend that could be there when I picked my dress. Erin & coworker(sorry can't remember her name ...Ashley maybe?) helped me pick the perfect dress for the look I was hoping for and recommended a seamstress who made me fall even more in love with the dress when I saw what she did to make it fit my body absolutely perfectly. (Debbie stoutjesdyk). When I said yes to dress at glitter & grit my only complaint was I wished it was more fitted, and Debbie was a master at doing that. It was the best feeling standing there next to my now husband at our ceremony in the barn and him not being able to keep his eyes off me. he kept looking over at me, squeezing my hand, and finally whispered that's a really nice dress. The look in his eyes then was the look he had when he had asked me to marry him. I never felt so beautiful in my life. thank you so much Erin!!!!
I found my dream dress in this store. Amazing options for ladies that don't want to look like a prom queen on their wedding. Elegant, subtle, offbeat, boho they have it all. Also, supporting a small business girl boss is always a good plan.
All I have to say about Glitter and Grit is WOW!!!
After doing some research online of Pittsburgh bridal salons, I knew G&G would be the place for me. But I wanted to have the traditional bridal experience as well just to make sure. On the day of dress shopping, I booked an appointment at a traditional bridal shop and then later in the day was my appointment at G&G. At the first shop, I disliked the majority of the dresses but found one that could have worked. It was still a fun experience, but wasn't too thrilled when I left. At G&G, I found the exact opposite! Almost all of the dresses I tried on were phenomenal! The difference in fabrics and structure to the dresses put them in a world of their own. Once I tried on "the one", I knew I had found my dress. Aside for the super high quality dresses, Erin (the owner) was a joy to work with. She let me enjoy the experience with my family/friends and gave input as needed but pretty much blended into the background. She was not pushy, but was very conscientious of my budget and told me if I was going to be trying on a dress that was above that. I appreciated that!
Overall, it was an amazing experience. If you are looking for something different that the traditional bridal experience, don't hesitate and book your appointment NOW!!! You will not regret it!!!
Foggy
I really enjoyed my experience at Glitter and Grit. Erin made me feel so special as she listened to what I was looking for and gave me advice about what I seemed to like after trying on a bunch of gowns. My appointment was scheduled for 5-6:30pm, but after arriving early and even staying late, we ended up being there for two hours. Erin was very accommodating and polite about everything and she never made me feel rushed to get in and out of gowns or make any decisions. While I didn't end up picking a gown from here, they were all lovely options and I would highly recommend anyone looking for a unique wedding dress to come here first!
I cannot say enough good things about Glitter and Grit, the shop is so so lovely and they offer gorgeous gowns in so many styles. I loved that it was offbeat/ modern and very much reflected my personality in a lot of the gowns. It's so nice to have an alternative to traditional wedding gowns in the city of Pittsburgh. The shop owner (Erin) was so sweet and very very easy to work with, she made the process relaxed and easy. She recommended a great seamstress for alterations locally and the dress was perfect on my wedding day. Erin also had a great knowledge of all the inventory/ fabrics/ vendors that she worked with, she recommened the veil/ color to match my dress and it was perfect. I would highly recommend Glitter and Grit to anyone getting married! :)
Glitter & Grit is the most fabulous bridal boutique I have ever entered. It is so unique and EVERY dress has such character! Erin is so fun to work with and she really knows how to help you find just the dress for you! I wouldn't go anywhere else!
I just had my wedding wearing the gown I purchased from Glitter and Grit. Everyone loved it! It was beautiful, and thanks to Glitter and Grit and my seamstress, I had a gown that was my very own. I highly recommend Glitter and Grit if you are looking for a beautiful, unique, and high quality wedding gown. Erin is a delight and helped me very step of the way!
I loved my experience at Glitter & Grit! My wedding planner recommended the shop because she knew I was looking for something a little different. Erin, the owner, is awesome! She was so helpful with styling and and just being so darn friendly! She definitely put me at ease shopping for my dress. I never felt pressured to buy or even try on anything outside of my price range. She helped me pick out my dream dress. I went with my mom and best friend (Maid of Honor) to pick out the dress and we all left saying what a great time we had, how relaxed the whole thing was and what great shape all of her dresses were in.
Basically - I loved Glitter and Grit!
I would recommend it to a bride looking for a dress that is beautiful and unique and looking for a relaxing, low-key and fun dress shopping experience!
Everywhere you look, Glitter and Grit and owner Erin have wonderful reviews and it's no wonder. When visiting other vendors or shops, we had to remind ourselves that 'not everyone can be like Erin'... she is just so lovely to work with. If you are looking for dresses that are stunning and a helpful owner - look no further. She really goes above and beyond to be helpful and considerate to her clients.
Erin just opened this store last year, she is a young entrepreneur who really knows what she is doing. Her boutique is small, extremely personal, appointment only, and the opposite of those crazy department store style bridal shops. My dress was Nicole Miller-stunning. I also got my veil there. Erin was so easy to contact and very accessible. She even send us a congratulations gift after the wedding :) I would recommend this shop to any bride!!!
