A wedding coordinator was one of the things that was a must have on my list after being bridesmaid/MOH in too many weddings without one. I hired Akasa as my Month of Wedding coordinator, and let me tell you- the woman is worth every penny! She is truly a professional who knows her stuff and was the MVP of the day. As we were a destination wedding, she really started on our event about 90 days out- BUT as I had booked her about a year and a half in advance of our wedding day, she was available for questions then through her communication portal which she always answered promptly. She has a ton of experience and great insight which helped me decide what I was looking for in our wedding day. I sourced many vendors from her including our wedding cake and second line band and both did not disappoint! She communicated with all my vendors in the final weeks, built a perfect day of timeline and got my venue set up so I didn’t have to. On top of everything, many of my vendors she was already familiar with so it made everything more seamless, knowing they had previous working relationships even if they were not vendors she had recommended to me. As a very anxious bride, I am so glad I had Akasa on my team. She ran our rehearsal at the venue the day before and teamed up with my MOH to get me through the little anxiety attack I had during the rehearsal (she is great as playing referee with stressful family members). I was actually able to be pretty stress free and was visibly carefree (which those that know me know that is not me at all) on the day of our wedding because I knew she had it covered. In fact, I did not even realize that my DJ was late and had missed the ceremony because Akasa stepped in, got connected to the house sound system, and was playing all our processional music before I could notice. All while giving the bridal party their cues to enter. She was the reason my wedding day went off without a hitch and made it so I could enjoy. Akasa served as wedding coordinator for our May 2023 wedding. She was primarily hired for month of services beginning 30 days prior to our wedding date. During my wedding planning process, I hit some unforeseen snags with my original venue. Though she was not contracted to begin working with us yet, she still made time to lend me her ear and expertise. She gave advice on how to maneuver with the venue's management. She reached out to her contacts, and was able to provide me with email addresses to contact. These contacts were ultimately the reason for the resolve of that situation. She also provided dependable advice on vendors and was able to add a band less than two weeks to the wedding date. The morning of coordination moved smoothly from hair, makeup, before photos and transportation. We had an all inclusive venue, with its own staff but Akasa was able to communicate vital details that were important to us. My mom, my husband and I could not be more happy with the services she provided!

We absolutely LOVED Akasa!!! While planning our wedding in NOLA, she had something planned every moment of our trip! From my makeup/hair, rehearsal dinner venue, wedding venue, catering and hotel reservations…..she was on it! We had to change our venue due to the hurricanes AND she stayed with us to plan our wedding in Vegas!!! I could not have asked for a more personal and caring planner! I feel like we clicked and became immediate friends, lol!!! I’m now trying to see how I can incorporate her in the planning for our baby shower!!! Book with Akasa, she will not disappoint ❤️

I absolutely enjoyed working with Akasa. Our wedding planning started in November 2021 so we only had 6 months to plan. We knew the style wedding we wanted, non traditional reflective of our fun personalities yet classic at the same time. She nailed it! I hired a wedding planner because I needed someone else to see my vision so I didn’t have to worry about all of the details. I always felt I could speak to her about anything even my dislikes. I appreciated her candor especially when it was something I wanted but didn’t really make sense. She made sure that we got what we envisioned. The time lines and schedule were always on point! I appreciated all that she poured into our wedding and us. She was not just professional but personal, it was a good balance of the two.
